Hamster watchers ready? Maybe there will be an eviction, maybe not.

Well, Julie isn't wearing blue jeans. We head into the recap.

Julie calls this one of the most explosive weeks in the history of the game.

But, first ... Paul's telling Jessica that Cody initially wanted Alex and Jason in the house to vote out Jessica and Raven. She talks to Matt. Matt refused to answer her. She goes to Cody about it. Cody denies ever having an alliance with Alex and Jason. The show cuts to the clip of early game with him saying it to Matt. Cody's face twitches and he runs off.

Paul tells his bunch, including the part of Alex out to Alex. He has no intentions of sending Alex out. He tells Elena and Mark, but doesn't tell them that Alex won't really go out. He tells Jessica her two weeks of safety and Alex out is a deal so she won't use the hex.

She goes to Cody. He says he's done. She wants to know done with the game or done with her.

Jessica talks to Paul's peeps and tells of the deal.

Veto Meeting time. Since Jason is a third nominee, no replacement for him.
Jason -- Talks about poor game play and social game of Cody and Jessica
Jessica -- World peace.
Cody -- I have no speech.

Paul saves Jason.

Now there are kerfuffles going around. Jessica has words with Elena. Cody questions Raven's motives. Jessica thinks everyone is lying to her.Now Jessica says the deal is off, mainly because Raven was talking to Kevin and Jason. Now Raven's crying and goes to Paul.

Paul goes to talk to Jessica and Cody. Jessica claims Paul is playing a psychological game with people. She tells Paul she will use the temptation and Cody is the only one whe she can trust.

Paul tells his peeps "game's on." Ready for the chaos?

Paul hints to his people that they have to play the game of Big Brother. He instigates them. Josh goes into his circus theme pans routine with Jess and Cody.

It then goes to Alex yelling that Jessica stole her cat ears. Cat fight with the girls! Cat fight!

In the living room ... Jessica uses the Hex. The eviction is stopped and no one is leaving the house. Julie makes it clear the power was for one eviction.

Time for the HoH comp. Paul cannot complete. Tonight begins BB Horror Week, Graveyard Golf. Everyone takes a shot. There are numbered bins at the end. The highest score wins.

Matt - 6
Alex - 2
Mark - 15
Jason - 15
Cody - 21
Christmas - 21
Elena - 13
Jessica - 2
Josh - 23
Raven - 18
Kevin - 6 ?

JOSH is the new HoH. Oh my.

BB19: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - August 2

The life of the party

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Delirious Dolts:
  • Once again throughout the day, things were all cordial ... at least on the surface.
  • Paul and Cody treated each other rather politely until behind closed doors.
  • Josh didn't ruin any more pots or pans.
  • Jessica and Cody made appearances in between exiling themselves.
  • Jessica even laughed and talked with others.
  • Cody was um ... there. Every now and then he'd say something or give a little fake smile acknowledgment.
  • The biggest news of the day is the HoH Comp practice set up in the yard. They often do this so the hamsters won't totally suck at some sort of skill game during the live show.
  • They get to suck at it while we watch.
  • And, of course, every time production says something to them, we get the fish cam.
  • The comp is kind of like miniature golf with big balls and a tilted surface.
  • After the practice session was over, they all went back in the house on an indoor lockdown.
  • And, to talk about each other.
  • Paul is still uncertain what exactly the hex will do.
  • No one, including Jessica (or us!), know exactly how tomorrow's show will play out.
  • Production told everyone, including Paul, to practice.
  • So ... he can play?
  • Or, are they covering bases?
  • I guess we'll know tomorrow night!

What? No cat ears?

Surprisingly, she's hanging in there

Went from 3-piece suits to this

Comp practice

The one on the show will look better

BB19: Power of Veto Episode Blog Party -August 2

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

Time for a recap!

Okay, nominations are over. Paul is thinking all is okay because he put Cody and Jessica on the block together and nothing seems to have happened. Jason feels safe being the third person on the block.

Paul has Jessica and Cody come up to his HoH room. He tells them that he believed they had safety when he put them on the block. Jessica tells him that it's bad for him, drops a hint or two. Paul tells them nine people wanted them up. Cody gets quite argumentative. Paul tells him to leave the room. They argue back and forth. Cody calls him a character on a show. Paul tells Cody to grow up.

Now Jessica is telling Cody that "at the end of the day," this is a game. She tells him he escalated the problems. She tells him it's the second time he's made her go through this. She's ticked. He seems to think nothing's his fault. She tells him he's a hothead and wonders if it's like that outside the house.  She needs to be alone.

"That's why I'm single," Cody mutters.

Josh spouts off about Cody. Mark tells him to shut up. Ohhh ... a heated kerfuffle complete with name calling. Josh starts up with his circus music, grabbing pots to bang. Mark goes to him, grabs the pots and acted like he was going to swing one. Kevin intervened.

Little boys at war, I say.

Cody brings Josh into one of the bedrooms and they grouse about Josh. Mark tells us he was bullied as a kid, but no one does it since he went to the gym. Cody tells Mark that Jessica is mad because he reacted to Paul telling her to lower her voice. He says her default will be to always blame him. Whatever.

Paul goes to Jessica, telling her that he assumed Cody and her had safety and he would put two others on the block. Jessica tells him that she'll need to use the hex. Paul admits to being a character on the show, but says he won't fist fight with some kid. He tells her Cody is highly emotional and she needs to make a decision.

Paul tells Elena he knows about the hex and it will make it a "dud week." He tells Elena that if people can't get Cody, they'll go after her (Jessica). Paul, the Showmance Killer, is back. He wants Elena to convince Jessica to let Cody go this week.

Elena tries to convince Jessica not to use the hex and let Cody go home.

Jessica tells Cody that she represents her family and her job, must act responsibly and not be a hothead getting into fistfights. Cody is weakened when confronted by her. Will he start making victim noises? He tells her he just wants her to be happy. She is worried that's how he acts in the real world. He admits, at times, yes. Not the right answer, buckaroo!

Elena honestly thinks Jessica's best move would be to let Cody go home. Meanwhile, Cody and Mark are talking. Jessica thinks his behavior is unacceptable. Cody tells Mark that Jessica has a chance to win if he's out of the game.

Oh geez, Jessica and Cody are hugging again. He tells her he wants her to win the game because she can. He tells her that she would do better without him. He also said he hates Paul and will react every time such as he did. He has no friends, is single and has little family. Oh my, boy does have enough issues to be a lifetime subscription!

Finally, the BB Weather Update airs, most go to the HoH room to study the BB storms shown on videos to them. The storms are all named after evicted hamsters.

Veto Player Pick time -- Paul picks two chips out of the box. He gets himself. Because of that, he goes for Kevin. The other one is Raven. Because of the three nominees, the pick is done this way.

This comp is a hoot! Jason Thinder is first. They have to fill in the name of the storm while reading from the teleprompter screen during rough weather. Cody Cloud. Raven Rain. Kevin Lightning. Jessica Puddle. Paul Bluster.

Raven - 16
Cody - 15
Paul - 22
Jason - 15
Kevin - 16
Jessica - 12

Paul wins the Power of Veto!

Paul talks more to Jessica. He tells her that Cody said in the beginning that the only reason he wanted to keep Alex and Jason in the house was because they would take out Jessica and Raven. She makes a deal with Paul that she has safety from the block and Alex out.

And, that's how they leave things ...

BB19: Live Feeds into Wednesday Morning - August 2

Raven's too touchy-feely for my liking

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Egos in Exile:
  • In reference to the above screen cap -- Raven is always touching and caressing people. I'm sure it's some sort of psychological quirk in me, but I would shy away. Unless it's some kind of romance going on, I don't like random people touching and caressing me.
  • No new circuses going on.
  • Mark, who's really not the brightest bulb in the BB pack, is actually trying to play both sides of the house.
  • He tells Paul he's loyal to them.
  • When asked by Cody if he was distancing himself from them (Jessica and Cody) due to Elena or what, Mark told him it was the house.
  • But he also told Cody he's loyal to them and wants to work with them.
  • I don't think Mark is savvy enough to work the double agent bit.
  • It's probably going to end up with neither side using him for anything other than a vote. Then they'll throw him to the wayside when they don't need him anymore.
  • You know, kind of like what Elena is doing with him.
  • Now she's irked because he has backed down from their relationship (at her bidding!).
  • I'm not a Mark fan, but feel kind of sorry for him. He seems to have the mindset of an adolescent when it comes to adult situations.
  • And, it seems like everybody in the house is using him for something or another.
  • Well, except for Josh.
  • When not throwing condiments on each other, they play fairly well together.
  • In three weeks, Christmas will graduate from a cast to a boot. If she's still in the house, she will still be limited as to which comps she can compete.
  • Paul wants the others to throw the next HoH comp to Josh.
  • That would most likely be the only way Josh could win one!
  • But a few of them -- Mark and Elena -- aren't too keen on that move.
  • None of Paul's crew want Mark to win HoH. They don't trust him, nor Elena's influence on him.
  • Hmm ... another bit of insight into Cody's psyche -- he told Jessica he barely talks to his mother even though she tries and tries to contact him. Once again, I think the dude is probably a good case for therapy. He might not have drug or alcohol issues, but these unsatisfied with life, jobs, people, etc. stuff are definitely affecting his whole personality.
  • Jessica fantasized about killing Alex by drowning so they could live happily ever after.
  • My gosh, they're ALL whacked!
  • Alex is Jessica's nemesis more than Paul is Cody's nemesis.
  • Well, maybe not Kevin and Jason. The "old" stay at home dude with a rather dubious background and the rodeo clown are the most normal people in the house!
  • All is rather calm in the house. Perhaps the calm before the storm? They (and we) expect Jessica to invoke the Halting Hex tomorrow night.
  • But who knows what will happen after that? Will there be a show tonight for the benefit of Mr. Kite? I just don't know.
Due to some of the comments being made on my posts, I'd like to remind people that the opinions, no matter how prevalent on the part of some people, do not reflect my own. Although I've been involved in monitoring AOL message boards and chats, freelance recapping and/or blogging since BB1, I'm just here for the entertainment (and, of course, any donations folks might like to make!) -- I don't get personally involved in outcries of injustice, "loving" or "hating" any of the cast, etc. It's a show. Just entertain me and I'll be happy. Although I often like some hamsters more than others, I have no personal stake in how the show goes down. It ain't no skin off my nose!

I just don't know about Josh

His cowboy hat got demoted?

Apparently Kevin is a pirate

Playing with Boy Toy's emotions

Cody presses any juice out of those chops

Jessica wants to pose like a Hymen Trophy

I guess I should explain the above screen cap -- Jessica told Cody that she will post like the Hymen Trophy with Julie tomorrow night. Cody laughed and sent her to Christmas and Paul to ask them what a hymen is. Heh. She meant Heisman, of course.

BB19: Live Feeds into Monday Night - August 1

Oh my, a good screen cap of Elena

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Insolent Children:
  • Thankfully, all calmed down some today. My real life job has been a bear and I don't think I'd be able to go to the circus again.
  • Jason is again suspicious about Cody's military history. Now, I do think Cody has been in the service. But I also think he embellishes it and wasn't happy there either. I know from his Jeff interview that he hates the job he left to come on the show. I personally think he should take Jessica's advice and "lighten up." I'm talking about life and things in general.
  • Christmas has yet another new cast.
  • I think they're going for the world record of cast changes within two months.
  • There was actually a light-hearted moment between Paul and Cody. Paul asked who put the empty egg shells back in the carton. Cody said he did it. When Paul asked why, Cody just told him to hold that thought and left the kitchen. So now Paul went and filled a dozen egg carton with empty shells and hid the real eggs.
  • Gee, little pranks like that are almost bliss compared to yesterday.
  • Alex thinks that Mark and Elena lied to her about not knowing the original Jessica deal with "get rid of Alex."
  • Paul had told her of that deal, but promised she wouldn't be voted out.
  • Elena is still loyal to Jessica (not necessarily to Cody).
  • Loyal to Mark? Not so much.
  • Paul and Company considered letting Cody and Jessica be the only ones playing the Temptation Challenge this week.
  • Cody and Jessica argued about Global Warming. Cody thinks it's a hoax.
  • A whole lot of nothing going on gamewise -- just the usual suspicions. No brouhahas, no circus.

He should pay for the broken pot, methinks

Still in love?

BB19: Live Feeds Monday into Tuesday, Brouhahas! - July 31/August 1

Josh tells Mark his woes with Cody

Oh my gosh. I worked late, came home exhausted and missed a huge brouhaha in the house! I've now caught up thanks to the Flashback feature and will give you the skinny. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Looney Toons:
  • Yes, Paul did some instigating.
  • But people are responsible for their own behavior in the house.
  • Sure, riling up Josh is like playing with dynamite.
  • But who thought Raven would turn into a raven' lunatic?
  • It all started with the Hex use possibility and with Paul saying that it's time for Cody to show his "real colors."
  • While I do enjoy a good brouhaha, this ended up not being quite that at all.
  • It ended up with Josh, Raven, Alex and Paul leading the charge against Jessica and Cody.
  • While it was aimed more at Cody, Jessica was targeted by Raven as much as Josh targeted Cody.
  • Paul instigated things with Josh, telling him what to say to Cody to "set him off."
  • But Raven was instigated by Christmas who told her that Jessica said horrible things at her.
  • Instead of making them both want to leave, it seems she's more likely to use the hex.
  • Instead of getting Cody riled up enough to get the boot from production, they might have lengthened his stay.
  • There ended up being arguments between Jessica and Cody, Christmas and Matt and more.
  • This isn't good, not really.
  • Yet Mark and Josh are getting along okay. Mark told Josh he's glad he's not the target of this mess.
  • Hmm.
  • Some are questioning if Cody ever was a Marine.
  • I think he probably was one. But it is odd that he has to think of his last rank. "Um. I think I was a ... corporal."
  • Josh told us that he's not a bully.
  • I don't know. He seems to be doing a lot of bullying.
  • It's all a huge mess in the house right now.
  • While I think Cody has no social game and isn't a good candidate for the show, this is all a bit too much.
  • Yes, Paul instigated Josh and the idea. But some people were just kind of "there" -- Kevin, Jason come to mind.
  • Alex, Christmas, Raven, Josh ... they didn't have to do this or go this far.
  • Paul claims to react to bullying by being the bigger bully. Hmm. Cody's bullying is more of a physical threat fistfight kind of thing. Paul's is an outright war.
  • Even with the war as it was, Cody didn't get physical.
  • Mark thinks that they should stop and think how it all looks to others.
  • Words of wisdom from someone who's shown little emotional growth, but he's right.
  • But, like I said, it will probably all backfire. They all just bought more time with Jessica and Cody.

A Raven lunatic?

If not for Cody, Jessica would go far.

Will this all backfire on him?

New duo? Nah.

In circus theme mode again

Meeting of the minds and mindless.

Will he stay or go?

BB19: Live Feeds into Monday Dawn - July 31

Is it that cold in there?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Paul Plans:
  • Okay ... so Jessica's demands have been met.
  • For the moment, at least.
  • She will not use the hex and will sacrifice Cody this week.
  • Paul will take Jason off the block during the veto meeting.
  • In return, they (Paul and company) will keep Jessica safe the next two weeks and Alex will be voted out next.
  • I mean ... what could go wrong here?
  • Well, Paul doesn't want Alex out.
  • But he doesn't tell Jessica that.
  • Elena thinks she needs to separate herself from Mark for her own game.
  • Honestly, I don't think that will help her much.
  • She obviously was never that into Mark in the first place. I think any convenient man would have sufficed her needs.
  • Mark, on the other hand, was smitten. He's often more of a teenager than a man and that includes how he is with women.
  • He's hurt.
  • Maybe he and Josh can work on a true bromance instead.
  • Paul, when not around certain hamsters, is beside himself with glee thinking this new plan might actually work.
  • He amazes himself.
  • Heh.
  • In between smooching sessions, Jessica and Cody had their relationship ups and downs talks.
  • I think Jessica's eyes are opening in regard to how Cody is and might also be on the outside.
  • "Maybe I'm supposed to be alone," says Cody.
  • Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! Well, unless you're miserable alone, that is.
  • There are other rifts going on in the house -- Josh is being a pain, Mark is irked that Josh gets away with it, etc.
  • Kevin told Jason that Cody told him he'd be willing to bow out of the game to give Jessica a chance in it.
  • Paul is being cautious. He doesn't want Jessica to feel threatened. After all, until the hex is not used on Thursday, there is room for changed minds.
  • Paul thinks he might pull Jessica off with the veto, put Alex up and let Jessica think Alex will be voted out.
  • Jessica herself is of two minds about the hex -- America gave it to her, so she should use it and Cody keeps changing his mind whether he should stay or go.
  • Mark is now forlorn and lovesick. Poor baby. Elena certainly isn't the woman for him anyway. He just doesn't see it that way.
  • Later!

Not really a worldly dude

A man with a plan. And a Plan B.

No, I haven't won a comp yet!

Breaking up is hard to do

BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday Evening - July 30

Mark's one shoulder dwarfs both of them

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Dealing Dilemmas:
  • Paul is thinking the temptation Jessica has might just save one person. He's considering pulling Jessica off the block.
  • His plan would be to put Elena up in her place, Cody would go home.
  • Kevin believes that if any girl is on the block, Christmas will vote that girl out. Hmm.
  • Paul talked to Jessica, once again reiterating that everyone likes her. It's just that, with Cody (Public Enemy #1) at her side, she will always remain on the outside, a target.
  • She ended up telling him that, using her hex, she can pull everyone off the block.
  • She tells him there would be no eviction at all.
  • In other words, his latest HoH reign would be all for nothing.
  • Jessica tells him she refuses to take part in any plan that will send Cody home.
  • Sigh. That would be a game-changing move for her. In my opinion, she has a decent sense of the game, better than most playing this season. If not for Cody, she'd be a contender for the win.
  • Paul pointed out that she'd definitely make jury if she doesn't use it and Cody goes home.
  • The person going home this week should be the last pre-jury.
  • She says she wants to be in jury with Cody if neither of them make it further down the line.
  • Paul kept trying to convince her that Cody is ruining her game and she has a chance without him in the picture.
  • Alas, to no avail.
  • Well ... maybe ...
  • Jessica laid down the rules if she doesn't use the hex to save herself and lets Cody go -- she wants safety for two weeks and Alex to be voted out the next HoH.
  • Um. Gee, isn't Paul in a secret alliance with Alex?
  • Shh. It's a secret.
  • Paul assured her he could fulfill her first demand. He's not as sure on the getting Alex out.
  • Jessica is adamant about the Alex bit. She says she feels like she's being bullied in the game and those are her demands. She would like them met.
  • Well, that sends Paul into a tailspin! He has to run around to all of his peeps, adjusting things a bit for each of them.
  • Cody and Jessica ended up in a kerfuffle without anyone mentioning she might be ready to throw him to the wolves!
  • Paul told Alex of the plan, telling her that they'll be faking the target on her and there will be another blindside.
  • Heh. Paul said that Cody has a "small man complex."
  • Takes one to know one!
  • Paul is the smallest guy in the house while Cody is shorter than most of the women.
  • Paul and his peeps decide to go with a Make Cody Miserable Plan.
  • Um. I think he's there already and has been for weeks with the exception of the Jessica benefits.
  • A meeting was held with Jessica (sans Cody) and a group. She agreed not to use the hex (and thus sacrifice Cody) if Alex goes out next.
  • Agreed.
  • Um, well, it is BB. I wouldn't trust any of them!
  • Jessica asked they be nice to Cody. After all, he has post-war stuff going on in his head.
  • I don't know. I watched as Jessica asked him the ranks he attained in both the Air Force and Marines.
  • Uh.
  • "Uh is not an answer," I say in my best Judge Judy voice.
  • Now, you KNOW the rank you attained on the military as well as you KNOW whether you graduated school or not. Why did he hesitate on both answers? Thinking up a lie?
  • Hmm.
  • Things are all convoluted in the house.
  • And, so is my mind.
  • Until tomorrow ...

Pigs are flying! They're playing pool again.

A cowboy without a hat

Adding to repertoire - the sneer stare

Paul and Jessica talk game

BB19: Temptation Challenge, Nominations Show Blog Party - July 30

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

Recap, recap.

After the recap, Paul thinks that Jessica is bluffing with her announcement that she has the power to keep her and Cody safe. Cody admits Jessica is much better at the game than he is. Well, heck ... ALL of them have a better social game. Elena is all upset that people lied to her. Josh thinks that he should irk Mark and starts banging pots and pans to wake him up.

He says he wants to bond with Mark. He runs around dancing to his circus theme. banging pots and pans claiming it's his last day. Mark tells us he's nauseous about having to deal with Josh for another week.

Jessica tells Cody that she wants to convince Paul to nominate two other people so the hex could be used next week.

Elena is shunning Mark and the world. Mark tries to make good with Cody. Cody tries to make good with Matt. Matt tells us voting Ramses out was best for his game. Cody tells us he doesn't like or trust Matt.

Paul thinks he should call Jessica's bluff and put both Jessica and Cody on the block. He gets his allies to back him up with the move.

Cody talks to Paul and brings to light a new target -- Mark. That's because Mark is his buddy.

Paul is still in secret cahoots with Alex. He tells her that he's going to put up Jessica and Cody. If Jessica and Cody come down, he'll replace them with Mark and Elena. Of course, he doesn't have the power of the hex right. He plants seeds with Elena that Mark is ruining her game because Mark has reattached to Cody.

Elena tells us she can't leave the house due to her showmance -- "I can't look that dumb."

Too bad. That dumb ship sailed long ago.

She talks to Mark. Now Mark is upset.

The Temptation Challenge is announced as the consequence of the acceptance of the final temptation.

Cody wants to compete in it. Jessica thinks that would be foolish because she wants people to believe they're safe.  Elena thinks if she doesn't compete, it will show Paul she trusts him.  Alex thins it's exciting but will do what's best for the group. Paul thinks Matt should play, so he'll do it for Paul.

Jason, Matt, Alex, Mark compete in the comp. Paul isn't too happy about Mark competing -- he was the Plan B eviction.

Big Brother Bowlarina. They get tutus. It's the comp where BB makes them dizzy and then they try to bowl. This comp is always a hoot to watch! Jason has to keep spinning and spinning to get time to nail his four pins. 3.37 on the clock.

Alex is having trouble throwing the balls hard enough. Her time is 1.39.

Mark spins slowly so he doesn't get as dizzy. It's working. He also has a lot of power. He takes the lead with 1.18.

Matt's up next. His time 2.34.

Jason will be on the block. Mark is safe for the week.

Cody tells Mark that Paul threw a fit when he saw Mark's time. They think it's Jessica, Cody, Elena and Mark against the rest of the house.

Elena had earlier agreed that she would be a pawn for Paul.

Jessica is being vague about her temptation with Paul. She once again indicates she can keep herself and Cody safe for the next few weeks.

Paul says he needs a strong pawn against Elena. Alex volunteers. Matt reluctantly says he will do it if he must. Paul is thinking that if he nominates Jessica and Cody, they can't be nominated. He's wrong on that, we know.

Paul and Jessica talk some more. He still thinks she's bluffing right before nominations.

Time for the nominations!

Jason is already on as the third. Paul nominates Jessica and then Cody. Paul says that he nominated them because they were vague about the temptation. Elena is relieved. Jessica claims she's surrounded by idiots in the house and his HoH is ruined -- she tells us this.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - July 30, 2017

Good morning! Since it's a Sunday morning, this is my weekly off television topic post taking a look at the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. This weekly post is done year in, year out. Big Brother, the main draw for so many of you, only lasts about three months -- although sometimes it seems to be a lifetime. If you're here solely for the BB posts, please feel free to skip this post. You can find my latest BB19 posts by using this link.

I really don't have much for you this week. I spent the week working, blogging Big Brother shows and live feeds, slept when I could and entertained a certain cat named Vincent. I'm tired.

The weather wasn't so bad this week here in the NJ/NYC Greater Metro Area -- we had some glorious temperature days during which it only got into the mid-70s! Sure, the beach crowd might not like that, but I love it! It's been nice to have my windows open and the air conditioner off.

Other than flowers, I really didn't get much in the way of photos this week.  Clicking on an image will open a larger version ...

BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - July 30

Drinks out of a gallon jug of water

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Weird Wackadoodles:
  • Going back to before the PoV comp yesterday, back to the Paul/Cody brouhaha ... Jessica talked with Cody afterwards.
  • She was livid.
  • She didn't puff herself up to look bigger like Cody did to Paul.
  • It was all verbal. Basically, she told him he was wrecking what little chance they have to get anywhere in the game. She called him a hothead. She ended up distancing herself from him. Paul was actually the only one to go to her to make sure she was okay and said he's willing to talk with her. He told her that she is liked -- it's just her relationship with Cody and the perception of it in the house that was keeping her apart.
  • Now, Paul might be faking any and all concern he has for others in the house. But, a good social game is such a huge part of gameplay in the BB house. If he makes it to the finals, the jury will remember his support, real or not, in the vote.
  • Meanwhile, Cody and Mark talked. Both were adamant that their showmances were over.
  • Cody claimed that Jessica would always blame him for anything that goes wrong in a future relationship, he'd be the default for blame. Mark said that when Josh was banging pots and pans at him, Elena didn't speak up to defend him at all -- as a matter of fact, she laughed.
  • All the love they both have to offer for nought.
  • Back to the latest ... Cody and Jessica are snuggling again and Mark is still agog with Elena.
  • Paul had a long talk with Mark when Mark asked him how he can save his game. Paul's advice could be wheedled down to back away from Cody.
  • The brouhaha between Paul and Cody solidified just about the entire house against Cody.
  • But Cody still can't see that his making lone wolf decisions as HoH, lone wolf actions by isolating himself from others, being physically threatening and moody, lying about his age ... nah, none of that stuff is his fault in regard to being a big target and alienation!
  • Jessica realizes all this ... and went back into his arms anyway.
  • Now Cody is all cynical about the game and is trying to give a "whatever" attitude.
  • The Weatherman Veto Comp should be interesting. Apparently Raven and Kevin tied for second to Paul, Jessica got third.
  • Most of them, sans Jessica, Cody, Raven ... stayed up all night preparing after BB put out the weather bulletins on the television screen.
  • Most of them are wondering how Raven did so well since she didn't study with them.
  • Both Cody and Jessica are shocked they did so well in the comp.
  • Cody had told Elena earlier in the day that he wanted to quit the game and Jessica won't let him. Hmm.
  • Mark is on his second week (bad pick) of Have Not and this week's Have Nots are Christmas, Alex and Elena. Elena had a bad pick this week and will face two weeks of slop. Aw, too bad, so sad for her.
  • Oh noes! Someone accidentally broke Alex's cat ears! Kevin was trying to fix them first, then told the cameras Jason broke them! I can see that friendship go on the rocks!
  •  Josh seems to be pining for Elena. Ew. Double ew even.
  • Paul told others he repeatedly asked every way he could in the Diary Room and found out that no one is guaranteed safety for a matter of weeks.
  • He said the rules say they can't lie about the temptation, but they can talk about it.
  • So far, we know Jessica lied about it when telling the others she and Cody were safe for at least a few weeks.
  • Back to after the brouhaha, Jessica told Paul that the hex would affect the HoH (Paul) more than anyone else. She was no longer claiming she and Cody were safe for a few weeks. She told him that she didn't want to use it bit this week she'd have to with both of them on the block and he would find out on Thursday.
  • Paul may or may not take Jason off the block with the veto.
  • We know it will make no difference. If Jessica and Cody remain on the block, she'll invoke the Halting Hex.
