Big Brother 10: Nominations

The feeds were blocked for a long time. When they returned, it looks like Jerry and Memphis are on the block much as Dan had mentioned earlier. I confirmed it when they were talking about how often Jerry has been on the block and Keesha thanked Dan for not putting her up.

They don't know when the POV comp will be held, but have been on indoor lockdown.

That old fart just cannot win that POV this week.

what is the logic that he put up Memphis?????

So he can backdoor Keesha if necessary?

Sydney said...

LOL ANON 8:43! I AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY~

We need a chant!

No Old Farts!

Dan and Memphis are trying to pacify Keesha, so she doesn't team up with Jerry. Doesn't matter who is nominated, only who has POV, so it's no threat to the Renegades to have Memphis nominated (or no more than it would be in any other case). If Jerry or Keesha were to win POV, Memphis would be nominated no matter what. If Dan or Memphis win POV, Memphis comes off the block and has the only vote.

But why didn't Dan choose Keesha to accompany him to the beach, then? Guess he doesn't trust Memphis to be totally unselfish and "take one for the team" by remaining behind with Jerry. And Dan won't leave Keesha alone with Jerry.

I expect to hear "no hard feelings" from Memphis and Keesha, but I predict SOUR GRAPES!

Jackie, those were great screencaps of the luxury comp. I'm off to youtube to check it out.

Dear Petals: I believe I read elsewhere that the substance you referenced was actually peanut-butter. Not, as you so eloquently phrased it, a tub-o-shit! Sigh. What are we going to do with you? I guess we could tell your mother, lol.

The gorilla was handing out bananas, and he wouldn't leave Dan alone until he took one. Obviously, someone is reading this blog. I want a screencap of Dan when he was holding the banana up to his ear like a telephone.

I can't believe Sydney or Petals or Laurie (or naughty Nana) didn't have anything to say about the giant hotdog. Come on, ladies, since when did you get your minds out of the gutter?

Terry is a Texan! said...

Clementine..I guess the hot dog didnt phase anyone....but where is that banana?

Laurie said...

sorry Clementine, I totally missed my opportunity to show my filthy mind. I know I let all the others down ... there you were, all in the gutter waiting for one of us dirty ol' ladies to take the lead and we failed. I won't let it happen again.

clem--we were too busy trying to figure out the DAMN phrase!! After all a trip out of the house was up for grabs! LOL

Syd--M/K/J think Dan is going to the island alone. We still don't know if he really got to choose someone from the JH...do we?? And we still don't know what the correct answer was!

Laurie said...

Well, darlin' Clementine, I have changed my avitar to make amends.

I'm going to join Terry in CA and start talking like Rennie.

Oh by the way, I resented the colonel's saying that wine was for the women and beer was for the men. That just proved he is a sexist pig. Not that we had any doubt, but a good hot dog deserves a cold beer!

Sydney said...

Or a sexist pig in a blanket Laurie -- your new avitar. Roast that weenie Jerry!

OMG Clem -- what you said about the Gorilla handing Dan an banana had me rolling on the floor!!

Sue -- I liked that you started a list of the Tao of Renny last post. I'd like to hear some more Renny rules to live life by.

Hey, I bought Rudy's book of Rudisms (the older gent from Survivor).........

off topic: I can't remember who all talked about the HBO John Adams series, but I want to thank you. We are now watching it on DVD and it's excellent. I'm not a history buff, so this is an excellent way to refresh my memories from school or learn things for the first time. Thank you, whoever you are!!

I had to update my photo too in honor of the giant wiener (or in the case of BB, it could be the giant Whiner?)

Dan is not being honest. He did not take M or K because he was given the choice of one of the jury members to take and he chose Michelle. That is why he was saying in the HOH bathroom if I can just get Michelles vote or so bbdish says

Laurie said...

SueGee, I love the innocence of your avitar.

Are you in SoCal?

Anonymous said...

If Dan really did choose Michelle, then regardless of the reason or whether he lied to K/M about it, then kudos to Dan for being the one to FINALLY give Michelle something for this gawdawful experience.

Not that I liked her, she grated on my last nerve -- but I like to see compassion shown towards her, even if it is for a totally selfish reason on Dan's part.

Maybe she'll have to stop complaining now?

Gosh, Clementine, I don't understand how lookin' at some big ol' wienie would make you start lookin' for us in the gutter.... hehe

What a fun day! It must have been great for those of you who got to watch. My head's spinning just trying to catch up.

I have enjoyed all the possible scenarios I've seen for what the lux prize could be. Kinda reminded me of listening to Ollie & Michelle! Only much more fun!!

Now Laurie, where's that beer to go with my wienie??

Unknown said...

Mmmm, wieners on the campfire, suegee! Yum! And Laurie's looks huge... from down here in the gutter :)

Here's Renny on Housecalls, if you have time to watch:

I love Gretchen's attempt at a poker face when Renny says she likes Michelle, lol.

*****

Renny told Keesha there was a great tragedy in her life, and during her pre-eviction speech she talked about unimaginable grief... not to be prying, but do we know what happened?

Laurie said...

*sliding beer north* Here you go PDX, enjoy it! Cheers!

Clementine, don't be fooled by the size of the weeny. It's the relish that counts.

Renny never said what her great tragedy was. While I do believe she had one, I felt a bit manipulated by the way she brought it up when she did. To be honest, it's a rare person who reaches 50 who hasn't had a great tragedy in their lives. Most of us keep it to ourselves, as it's private and personal. To speak of it in such a secretive way on public tv just didn't set well with me.

I did notice on the feeds that whenever Renny brought up her "great tragedy" they would quickly cut to feeds. I found that a bit odd.

Anonymous said...

"... cut to FISH" is what I meant.

or "cut the feeds"

LOL moment for me was Memphis telling Keesha he has to get out of this house and she has no idea. She says yes she does and it goes back and forth till Keesha realizes they are not talking about the same thing. She is talking about the house gettin to them and Memphis is talking about being horney. It is not normal for a man to go this long with out. Keesha cracks up.

Memphis want to talsk to other house guests about how they stayed sane. Guess we should tell him not to other asking Ollie

Laurie - I'm in the shaking tonight Bay Area. Just had a little 4.something that almost threw me off my chair. Love them earthquakes!

Got to go see Renny on HC. Some days I wish I didn't have to work :o)

I was surfing the net for any Renny discussion and came across this thread on the CBS message boards:

http://www.cbs.com/forum/posts/list/1690.page

"mebetru" appears to be her estranged cousin who is very angry with her and is harshly critical, causing her husband and children to post in her defense. Nothing specific about what caused the rift, other than a reference to an incident at her daughter's wedding two years ago.

****

Laurie: I can't tell you how much I agree with your thoughts about most people keeping their tragedies to themselves and not making casual, (or should I say public?), reference to it. I had the same reaction.

Do you have to work tomorrow, SueGee? I love Friday nights, because I get to turn off my alarm and sleep in. Maybe for a whole extra hour! Ahhhh!

With visions of hotdogs dancing in my head :)

suegee, are you sure you had quake or was it a cbs trick? One of my daughters lives in east bay. My other one just moved from there to Chicago. Can you imagine? She worked at Cal. Is that where you are? I love that place!

Clementine, thanks for saying you felt the same way. There was just something about it. Can't say what it was.

Interesting that someone in Renny's family would bring up family business like that. What is it with people making their private life so available to people? Geesh!

PDX Granny said...

Sheesh!! I've been working for the past hour (or so it seems) on a new avitar. It won't work out how I wanted, so I just settled. Then I scrolled down to see how it looked and couldn't find it.

That's when it dawned on my that I had to post something for it to show up.

That's what I get for trying to do this while watching Tom & Jerry cartoons with my grandson. LOL

SueGee said...

Tomorrow is a day off and I plan on sleeping IN (or at least as long as the cat allows) I have a 7 day alarm clock so I only have to fool with it when it is vacation or a holiday...

Yes Laurie, I do work at CAL and am originally from the Chicago area - Small world! I don't think I would ever live in snow country again - nor would I want to live anywhere there is humidity LOL. I love it here!

Anonymous said...

Just a theory (don't call me Ollie or Michelle!): maybe Renny's great tragedy had something to do with her parents. I thought it odd that she went on and on about her parents pictures when she was HOH, instead of her husband or kids.

OK, I'm trying again. . . . with the avitar, I mean!!

You'd think I'd have better things to do on a Friday night!!

Terry is a Texan! said...

PDX...now thats a classic and I think you should keep it!

hmmmm...eeny,meeny,miney,moe.....

Sydney said...

Jennasmom, a post or two back we had talked about what the tragedy might be if you get a chance to see what some responses were.

And Clementine, thanks for that link. WOW, it was pretty intense to read the many page long threads.. I eventually had enough -- I have a very close relative who sends us letters like that and I do my best to enjoy life around it as much as I can.

Syd: A few days ago, Renny and Keesha were talking about how they had a new perspective (after the BB experience) and what they would change when they got home. Both said that they would stop associating with certain people in their lives (who brought negative energy). I got the impression that Keesha was talking about some party friends and that Renny was talking about family members.

Thanks to all who answered my Keesha question. It sounds as if M and D are in charge, and other than which one comes in first, the only suspense would be if Keesha suddenly started playing her own game and won the last POV (if she is in the house for that) . Every season I can remember I wanted a female to step up and make a smart choice. Yvette and Erica are two years I remember. Then there was the season with two females at the end and I didn't want either of them to win!
