Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Tuesday Into the Evening - August 20

I'm happy being third!

Oh my gosh. Today was just about the most boring day EVER in the history of mankind on the live feeds. Yes, really. Here's the skinny on what went down today in that Big Brother House of the Doldrums:
  • Helen knows she's leaving Thursday.
  • Helen thinks she can pep talk Elissa into winning HoH.
  • Meanwhile, Elissa is resigned to a diet of pickles because she claims she's allergic to slop. Apparently the head cheese and habenaro peppers aren't to her liking either.
  • Of course, I would balk at both of those items myself.
  • That was rather cruel of us.
  • But they deserve it.
  • Helen said she'd vote for Amanda at the end if Amanda gets there.
  • When Helen said that Aaryn is really concerned what America will think of her, Elissa said they (we) would see what a horrible person she really is.
  • Heh.
  • For each nice thing Helen said about Aaryn, Elissa came up with a negative.
  • "She's the kind of woman who'll steal your man."
  • Oh, my. Was she channeling Rachel for a moment?
  • Helen really likes GinaMarie.
  • I never thought we'd see that coming.
  • Elissa, on the other hand, thinks that GM is a bit ridiculous.
  • I agree with her.
  • As a side note: GinaMarie is NOT from New Jersey despite folks thinking she is. She's from the least cool NYC borough of Staten Island (as was most of the cast of The Jersey Shore). That is NOT New Jersey, it's actually not even very much New York City as folks think of it. It's an island where they talk funny and think they're tough.
  • So, the whole early part of the day was spent with Elissa and Helen analyzing the character of their fellow hamsters, past and present.
  • YAWN.
  • By 2 in the afternoon their time (5om my time!), the other hamsters were up and stumbling about.
  • Sheesh.
  • Amanda wants to work with Elissa.
  • Uh-huh. We've heard that before.
  • Sure enough, she later talks with her crew and discounts everything Elissa said.
  • Aaryn once again had the nerve to tell Amanda she doesn't think Helen and Elissa were coming after her and GinaMarie and that Amanda told her that.
  • What? You dare question the Queen of BB15 Hamsters?!?!?!
  • McCrae admitted to Spencer, GM and Aaryn that his online BB fan friends probably hate the McCranda showmance.
  • Well, yeah. A superfan involved with the online presence for the show has totally whacked his own game being a servant to Queen of BB15 Hamsters!
  • I so wonder how McCrae would have done without the relationship.
  • Aaryn thinks they picked them as the cast because they're all crazy.
  • I say they picked them and recruited many for looks and forgot to give the psychiatric testing in the process.
  • YAWN.
  • Grr, Clownie didn't even die today. That's been the highlight daily for most of the week. Perhaps Andy ran out of ways to kill him.
  • Tomorrow should be more of the same.
  • I really hope the returning hamster on Thursday livens up this snoozefest!

We're surrounded by characters, but we're not characters

I have such a bright future ahead!

I'd have to disinfect the bed. Ew.

I have everything! The man of my dreams, 500 grand!

did I mention how much I don't like aaryn n mcanda? but I either want Helen or judd, elissa somehow (underdog), or mcgray to win....

Sharon N said...

Pat,
Those are the only one's I'd want also... other than Helen. She lost me almost 2 weeks ago.

It will be curious to see what happens next. As awful as Spencer can be, I don't think he's the big McRanda follower he pretends. If Spence wins HOH, I think he'll jump off the Amanda train real quick. Unfortunately, he really dislikes Elissa, so another HOH could end up a total waste.

I might be giving Spence too much credit, but if he's as sneaky and crafty as I think, he might put McRanda on the block... but he likes McC, so his target would be Amanda.

Something to think about -
"Great Big Brother players don't care what the house thinks: They tell the house what to think, implicitly or explicitly." -- Darren Franich, Entertainment Weekly.

I'm having a lot of trouble with that quote. One the one hand, I believe it is absolutely true.

On the other hand, if I believe that, I'd have to give Amanda the win.

I may have to talk with Clownie. Maybe we can arrange co-suicide.

Sharon N said...

Clownie has had multiple suicide attempts... apparently not have been successful. Maybe it's a temporary threat and he's holding the real thing out for the BB grand finale??

I'm so curious about how the food works in the house. Does anyone know . . . for instance, are they allowed to have pickles when on slop or did BB just allow Elissa? Can they have spices when they are slop? What about coffee? What is in slop? For people not on slop - can they request food from BB? I don't know what this fascinates me but it does. I wish they would show more about food on the TV show. Like who does the cooking and what do they all eat? I want to know!!

What a SAD SAD day. I have almost come to hoping Spences wins. UGH. No one else to pull for. Poor McCrea does not want to be known as Amanda's puppy but that is exactly what he is known for. Oh Me. Maybe next year will be better.

Last week, AA said "How do people know what is going on in this house anyway?" This was after Julie asked her a question that in fact had come from twitter.

I'm beginning to think that neither Gm or AA have any concept of what a live feed is. I don't think that they realize that they are on the internet 24/7? I think that they believe that the only thing America sees is the show with Julie and BBAD. I think they believe that all the videos on youtube that they watched of past seasons was compiled by the BB producers and not by fans.

Is it me?

Cause it's the only thing that makes sense to me. Surely, the two of them aren't that naive. And by naive I mean dumb but really do they think that no one knows the truth about how they treated Candice?

I would LOVE for Helen to come back mad as hell and win HoH...then get Amanda OUT!!!

Jackie S. said...

Poppy - They're allowed condiments and spices while on slop -- thus, the pickles are an allowed item. They can have milk, chocolate milk and protein drinks while on slop.

As for the the not on slop crowd, BB stocks them up with a variety of foods each week. That storage room not only has a freezer and refrigerator in addition to the one in the kitchen, it's a mini food store (where they don't need to pay). Each year we hear complaints of expired foods, though.

The cooking is done pretty much be those who can. For example, Spencer doesn't really cook in the kitchen, but he loves the grill. Helen, Elissa, Amanda, Aaryn, and Candice have been the ones big in the kitchen this season. In a perfect world, those who don't cook do the clean-up. That's not always the case.

Jackie S. said...

Poppy - Also ... it's been said that the slop is like protein-enriched oatmeal, rather bland and boring.

And another note, often someone will cook a large meal for all not on slop. Others may cook a meal for themselves and a few others. It varies day to day. They can request foods, but that doesn't mean they'll get them.

Hi Jackie and gangs,
JOEY, with the biggest and (weirdest I might add), grin on his face and fist pumping in the air and woofing, said
"Yes, I told ya!! ya go clownie!!
clownie for the win, greatest come back kid ever!!!

I still think he going to be a part of some comp or something.
Oh well, JOEY can dream on, unfortunately,JOEY loves clown, fortunately, I do not, guess who won over rules the house and no clown about. ugh, scarey sight.
JOEY sticking his tongue at me.
can I volunteer to go in the house and finally do him in?? I will be gentel.... not!!!
wonder if ANDY is the one that been doing that instead of production, what that say about him??
just a thought. have a good day folks.

I know a lot of people don't like Elissa because she comes off like she's better than everyone else, but I think she is dead on in her opinions of the people in the house. Helen wants to only see good in everyone, but Elissa keeps it real. IMO the rest of those people in that house have no redeeming qualities. If Amanda had just a tiny bit of likeability, I might be able to overlook all the things I hate about her and root for her to win. Love her or hate her (I choose hate) she is ruling that roost. I would rather see her win than McCrae. All he has done is coast along on her coattails.

I so agree with you, Holly!!!!

To really shake things up, I would like to see the four evicted HG compete to be the next HOH. The winner goes into the house with the power and at least a weeks safety. This would allow the evicted HG to exact revenge against the mastermind and her minions. He/She would put up McCrea and Amanda and if one of them comes off the block, put up Andy. This would break up the 2 AM alliance (Amanda/Andy/McCrea) and make the rest of the season a little less predictible.
I know this won't occur, but at least it would be exciting.

~~Silk said...

Oooo! I like your idea, Tami! After the eviction, the houseguests all troop out to the backyard for the HOH comp, and discover that they won't be competing - the jury is there, and it's the jury competing. Winner is back, and is HOH. I love it!

Aaron did say at some point last night that she knew the cameras were on 24 hours, but didn't realize that viewers could watch all 24.

Petals said...

I'm with JULIE & JOEY. Clownie for the win! Except, look: He's been in the house for many weeks, and even HE wants to kill himself.

I will be so glad when this season is over it's like "watching paint dry" Sooooo predictable. Just hoping that neither of the two snakes win (Amanda) , her evil and venomus actions and (Andy) "the Snitch"

I don't think the double agent role comes easily to Andy. Well, it does come easily because he has the skills, but I don't think he's enjoying it, unlike some others who seem to delight in duplicity. That's his strategy - to make himself invaluable to the strongest alliance without doing anything to make himself a threat to them. It's actually quite effective.

Like it or not Amanda is playing a great game. When you think game only....she is miles ahead.

Why is Elissa on this show. She does not play the game. Not even a little. She has zero interest in it. She acts like a queen and talks about leaving all the time.
She has a sister that was hated by everyone at one time. I have no idea what happened and how things changed...but hearing how Elissa talks about other houseguests....I think she better have a talk with her sister as well about what to do on TV. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am happy Helen is leaving. She was playing the game but not paying attention.

I hope Judd comes back. He is a BB super fan and was there for the game.

I hope casting at BB changes if the show comes back. Please have normal houseguests that don't have managers and want to become famous and be an actor/celebrity. Have BB super fans and don't be so concerned about what people look like. AND....what happened to the unexpected......all these boring days could be filled with some kind of road blocks. This show gets an "F" for coming up with the unexpected. Failure. There could have been so many things going on that would constantly make the show much more interesting and not only fun for America but keeping the houseguests in termoil. Oh well...for me...that was the unexpected. There wasn't any. Having Elissa there was a complete ZERO.

Go Amanda

Hi PETALS,
I strongly agree with you, I would have beg and pleaded to self evict.
JOEY said:he would scream as loud as he could, let me out, these people are contagious!!! then break down the wall and run as fast as he could, hoping they never catch him again.
I strongly believed he would really do that too.but then again, he would do it in a clown suit too.

KASEY, while agreeing with you in many ways, but we all know these shows look for a certain personilty and not normal, while I think normal is good, but it boring for t.v, shows.
just my two cent.

TAMI and SILK:
We so agree and loved your ideas, it would really be something to see if all that happen.
we can only hope, and dream something different will happen.
last night while watching the after dark, we watch GINA M. sitting there at end of table, while ANDY, ARYAN , SPENCER ate the meal the girls cook and knowing she a have not, just put her arms on table and chin on arms and watch and I could not help myself from thinking that I thought for a moment, she might jump up on that table and craw across it and snatch that meat out of spencer hands, it really look like she was about to blow up. but JOEY said it just sad to watch.
yeah, boring too.

I still think that, considering the competition, Helen stands a good chance to return after eviction. Then, if she or Elissa win HOH, it could matter a lot. They should nominate Amanda and Andy (3AM's masterminds), with Aaryn (dangerous in comps) in reserve. There would still be numbers to work with GM and Spencer to evict others in 3AM.

After eviction, Helen should (though I wouldn't count on it) return a wiser player, clearly aware of who her enemies are. It will be interesting to see how they slant the return and HOH comps.

I LOVE that idea Tami

To be honest, I never hated Rachel.

that would work out and would wish it did, but about HELEN coming back and being wiser??
I don't think so,
she so blinded that she need a seeing eye dog to help guide her through it all.
boy, she's really gullible and naive, I had such high hope for her, but she really disappointed me now.
sorry, had to vent.
Thank you

Love your pictures and captions Jackie.

I would prefer Helen and Allisa to continue in the game. It's now a matter of Morals, not game any longer for me. I've watched BB for 15 years. This by far crosses the line with many of these house guests. If Judd comes back that might be a game changer.

JOEY said...

Poor JOEY:
When learning that it was ANDY the one messing with CLOWNY, he scream..
" ohhh... CLOWNY.... OH please CLOWNY... say it ain't so???
Sorry JOE ,it is so!!!
Then in true impersonation of RACHEL, scream: NOBODY, AND I MEAN NOBODY , GET BETWEEN ME AND MY CLOWNY!!!!
Then turn with head up , tears in eyes and lips so pouted out, walk off in true RACHEL fashion.

ME?? thinking, may be time to get his head examine but in truth, I am so afraid what I would find.

let me ask you folks this:
Is there a pill or some kind of med's I can give him to fix him??
trust me, after seeing his RACHEL impersonation and the image it left me with, (can you erase your mind image??), I want to fix him and hope to god , I never see that again!! NO, REALLY TRUST ME, YOU DON"T WANT TO SEE IT!!!!!
JULIE & CLOWNY JOEY ( EWWW ....)

I did not really mean "normal" when I suggested casting should be changed. Its more about finding true BB fans that want to be on the show and not picking houseguests for thier looks only.
Its fine to select houseguests that all have totally different personalities. May I suggest never to find another Spencer who I find one of the worst humans to ever be on BB. Just seeing him sitting on the HOH bed that Aaryn has to sleep in makes me sick.
I realize there are more issues than that involved in the show, but his comments and the way he sits with his sunglasses watching the girls shower....is really horrid.
I still say GO AMANDA

If they are not going to give the returning juror some kind of immunity or power, then they might as well just forget the whole returning player bit. All they are doing is prolonging the inevitable and giving all those still in the house an extra week.

Nina said...

Kasey...Spencer should not be on this B.B. show period. His comments alone are questionable.

I'm hoping if there are more shows that it's not about looks and who's trying to break into show business etc.like this year. Again I say, what was the producer thinking?

Tami~~~I say you are hired to not only cast the next BB, but to mastermind the unexpected. I hope whomever reads blogs takes your idea and runs with it. Good job!
Best idea I have heard. I have been WAITING for more unexpected events to happen.
