Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Wednesday into the Evening - July 29

Is this a poker face?

I realize I was a bit lackadaisical and didn't post a live feeds report this morning. But there really hasn't been a great deal going on in the house. And, I felt the need for naps. Since I last posted, here are the happenings from inside that Big Brother House of Assorted Alliances:
  • When Meg confronted Shelli and Clay about it being their doing that Jason went on the block, they denied it. They claimed they were trying to get Vanessa to put Jackie on the block.
  • That's actually kind of truthful.
  • Clay just skipped the part that Jason's been one of his targets all along.
  • During an overnight talk between Jackie, Meg, James and Jason, it sounded like there might be a chance to save Jason.
  • I doubt that will happen.
  • Although, to make it clear, I'd personally prefer Jason to stay in the house over Becky. He entertains me more. And, of course, it's all about me and what I prefer!
  • No?
  • Huh.
  • Clay and Shelli gave Meg a glimmer of hope that they might see things her way.
  • They don't.
  • Jackie has come to the realization that she's the next big target for the others.
  • Oops.
  • Can she save Jason?
  • Probably not.
  • But now they think they have Shelli and Clay on their side.
  • They don't.
  • Jason tries to convince Chelli that Austin is gunning for them and, if they save him (Jason), it will give Austin a better target.
  • Um.
  • Nah.
  • Becky is continuing to work with Vanessa, Clay and Shelli.
  • However, after Jason goes this week, she's sure to be expendable to them.
  • Vanessa went over many pros about Jason with Clay and Shelli.
  • Nope, ain't gonna keep him.
  • They might let Jackie THINK they might keep him.
  • But that's as far as that will go.
  • Clay thinks one of the other side needs to win HoH so that Austin and the twins will be targeted.
  • Jackie has switched from a Becky advocate to trying to save Jason.
  • That's confusing the others.
  • Becky doesn't know Jackie has switched, but the others are storing the info for future ammo against Jackie.
  • The last few hours have been no game talk, lots of chess and nail polishing.
  • I think I need another nap.

Or is this a poker face?

Leading Austin on

Can Jason get the votes to stay?

Meg will be a little lost lamb

They can't cuddle in dentist chairs

I love getting bad screen caps.

This dentist isn't killing lions.

Big Brother 17: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - July 29

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Let's get this party started!

Recap, recap, recap.

Aw, poor Shelli is upset that Clay is on the block. And, Vanessa isn't happy that she remains HoH and the plan to backdoor Austin will be on her hands. James is apologetic over winning the BOB when he was supposed to lose. Liz is very suspicious that James might have thrown the comp. Austin thinks they might have been trying to set up Liz. Of course, he thinks Steve is the backdoor target.

Liz tells us that she doesn't like Austin in a romantic way. Meanwhile, he's starting to be head over heels. Sucks to be him, eh?

Time to pick players for the veto comp! Vanessa draws first, gets Houseguest's Choice and goes for Shelli, Clay draws Johnny Mac, Becky draws Liz.

Jason, the PoV comp host, announces it's time to Get Nutty. They're dressed like squirrels. (Unlike what Meg says about not doing squirrels in NYC, they do, too. Washington Square Park even has black squirrels.) They have send nuts down a chute, retrieve them and collect them. Jason pronounces squirrel as squarel.

Clay wins the PoV! Becky cries. She's lost three comps in a row. But this one leaves her on the block. She thinks the plan to backdoor Austin is still in the works, though. Silly gal. Fickle is Vanessa.

Vanessa thinks she must tell Liz the backdoor Austin plan. She tells her that Austin told Jason about the twins. Liz knew it already. Then she said that Jason said Austin said everyone needs to go after Julia. "I don't even like him," she whines. Liz thinks they're down an alliance number if Austin goes out and he was (stupidly) trying to protect her.

Now it's time for Austin to beg for his life. I already saw this on the feeds. It went on forever. She sends him on to convince Shelli and Clay that he has a case to stay. He begs to them.

Note that Clay has a mini-Trump thing going on with his hair. Ew.

The Outback dinner prize is going down. Each can choose a guest. Vanessa, Becky. Liz, Austin. James, Clay. A good time was had by all.

Shelli works on Vanessa to not backdoor Austin and Clay backs her up. Vanessa says she can't put up Jackie because she gave her word. Jason is looking like the likely target.

Time for the veto meeting. Clay saves himself. Vanessa puts Jason up in his place. Many look confused.

I'll be posting a live feeds update later on tonight. Stay tuned!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Tuesday into the Evening - July 28

Johnny Mac chillin' in his PJ pants

Good evening. Welcome to the live feeds update report of Big Brother, Got Lots of Pretty Pictures for you, but Not Much Action:
  • Jason is pretty resigned to the fact he'll go home this week.
  • He's not campaigning against Becky.
  • If he was up against someone like Steve, I'm sure he'd be going at it to stay.
  • While Becky and Jason were talking, she thinks the vote will probably be 6-3. He thinks he only has Meg and perhaps one other. He thinks the hinky voter will be a no-show this week to cast the blame on him, but will reappear in a few weeks.
  • Becky really wants to target Steve.
  • Jason advised her to go for the other side's peripheral "characters" like Austin or Steve. After all, they're the puppets of that alliance.
  • Clay and Shelli are getting the heat over the Jason nomination.
  • Jason said any superfans shouldn't admit it when coming in the house.
  • After all, people who watched two seasons of the show in pre-season sequester are staying in the house longer than he is.
  • I say he perhaps should have upped his game a bit more.
  • I do kind of wish they had had an endurance comp before he got the boot (yeah, I know he hasn't gotten the boot yet, but surely will). He is super built to do well in endurance. He weighs nothing and is wiry!
  • The HoH camera came out.
  • Whoopie pickle.
  • Clay and Shelli think Jackie should be targeted next week.
  • A whole lot of internet, phone, computers, past season talking going on.
  • A whole lot of nuthin' going on.

Eek! I have an arm!

He's one with the squirrel

Put a shirt on. Geez.

Resigned

Can she fight the power?

What will she do without Jason?

Not as in as he thinks

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Tuesday - July 28

Power moves in chess, not in BB
Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of You Got to Know When to Hold 'em, Know When to Fold 'em:
  • Vanessa feels bad about "taking away Jason's dreams."
  • To me, that's the sad part about him going so early -- which I have no doubts he will this week.
  • He's wanted to be in the house since he was ten years old. He has a dead-end job in a supermarket which he lost by going on the show and he lives in his mother's basement.
  • Of course, if he were to win a half-million, he's one of the ones most likely to just blow through the money quickly, not spending any wisely (such as paying for education).
  • It's sad.
  • But, he knows the game. He should have been playing a bit more strategically.
  • Meanwhile, Vanessa tried doing some damage control.
  • Somehow, the blame for it all seems to be casting suspicion on Clay and Shelli.
  • Hmm.
  • Jason is helping that along by telling his buddies that they won't even look at him and knew all along he was the plan.
  • James is really, really ticked. He feels used.
  • Vanessa keeps trying to tell everyone it wasn't just her decision, but it was indeed a last minute decision.
  • Shelli tried to console Jason and tell him he should fight to stay.
  • Jason, probably reading the cards better than Vanessa even, realizes that he has little chance to remain instead of Becky.
  • I feel that way, too. It's kind of hopeless even though I'd rather watch Jason on the live feeds than Becky.
  • Vanessa and Jackie talked about BB17 being flip-floppers and indecisive.
  • You don't say!
  • Oh, gosh. I don't think I can like Steve anymore. He was a Christine fan, even writing to her after the season.
  • Ew! Ew!
  • So, it looks like Jason should go this week and, if the power changes next week, it's likely Shelli (maybe Clay) will be a likely target.
  • I'd still go for getting Austin out because he's creepy over Liz and, since the twins will both come in, he can go away.

How will I rid myself from him in September?

Let me blame it all on Chelli

I'm not happy, not.

Earned more $ than in his real job

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Monday into the Evening, Renom - July 27

Blindslided

Well, she finally made up her mind. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of  You Can't Tell Everybody They're Safe and Expect it to Work:
  • Vanessa decided she needed to "make a judgment call."
  • That call was to put Jason on the block in Clay's place.
  •  While I can indeed see that Austin will probably be Mr. Loyal in her corner from here on out, the move breaks many promises she made and has possibly caused more problems for her personally.
  • James is mad. He was asked to throw the BotB and, while he didn't lose, it was obvious he was trying to throw it.
  • Jackie is mad.
  • Becky is mad.
  • Meg is crying.
  • Jason, naturally, is well beyond mad. He even cried a few tears and he's not one to cry.
  • Everyone from "the other side" went into this group of nominees for BotB thinking a certain deal was in place.
  • They all feel betrayed.
  • Everyone in the house was told Austin was the target.
  • (Except Austin, of course.)
  • Even Austin was trying to shift the target to Steve, not Jason.
  • And, people knew about that.
  • I'd personally prefer Becky to go home over Jason (even though she's my blog pool pick) because she brings little entertainment factor on the live feeds.
  • At least Jason sometimes talks to us!
  • I would have rather the Austin plan stick. He's creeping me out more and more. I've gotten to the point that he annoys me every time I see him on the live feeds.
  • That's not a good thing.
  • Alas, unless something drastically changes, they will keep Becky over Jason.

But Austin is in love. Too bad Liz isn't!

Body language says creep-out

We could have had a heads-up!

That wasn't the plan! I look bad now!

That wasn't the plan!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Monday Blurb - July 27

May have to go back to the basement

This isn't a full-fledged report. I just wanted to let you know the latest -- Jason will go on the block when Clay saves himself.

Will this one stick? Or will Vanessa change her mind once again?

My head is spinning.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - July 26

Hiding from reality?

I'm reluctant to even post this update because Vanessa has gone from the Gal With a Plan to the Waitress of Waffles. My only salvation is that the Power of Veto meeting will be tomorrow and all of this foolishness will be moot. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind:
  • I'm just so confused. Unless someone talks directly to us via the cameras, I'm often lost as to what page they're actually on.
  • Steve thinks that Shelli got him in with the in crowd.
  • Yet Shelli talks to others about how Steve randomly pops up everywhere.
  • It appears Austin is being forgiven by all and his lying has been accepted as trying to "help" the alliance in some sort of misguided weird way.
  • So, is Becky the target?
  • That might not work.
  • Although I think she's expendable, she has several hamsters in her camp and assurances (lies?) that she's safe this week.
  • I think Steve is safe this week.
  • Vanessa gave him her word.
  • Oh, wait. She gave a lot of those words out this week, the first being that she would backdoor Austin.
  • She told Becky she's safe this week.
  • Oy.
  • Wait, let's get rid of Jackie this week!
  • Oh.
  • Vanessa also gave her her word that she wouldn't backdoor her.
  • She told Steve that she's considering putting up either Jackie or Jason.
  • Hmm.
  • Then she leaned even more towards putting Jason up.
  • Who the hell knows?
  • Bring on the PoV ceremony! I can't take much more of this!
  • The feeds were blocked for the Outback dinner lead-up.
  • When they came back, the three who won it (Vanessa, James and Liz) were missing along with Clay, Becky and Austin. Maybe they could each bring a guest.
  • I don't know.
  • I don't care.
  • I just want them to decide who will go on the block with Becky!

She might need a stronger drink

Steve seems safe this week ... for now

Probably not getting backdoored ... this week

Yep, he's a nut.

Big Brother 17: Nominations, Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 25

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Let's get this party started!

After the recap, Vanessa tells us that she had to win HoH once Jackie did as she would likely be one of Jackie's targets. Austin talks to Lizia about "Operation Jason." He thinks if he talks twins with Jason, they would be more of a target to Jason than he is. In the twin change, Liz and Julia talk about Austin. Neither seem to to be thrilled with him.

Jason is very suspicious over why Austin is telling him not only about the twins, but even Julia's name. Austin tells Jason he wants to split up the twins. He tells us he'd like to keep them together, but his heart only belongs to one of them. (Too bad it's not mutual!) He wants to be in jury with Liz.

Jason, using the info as ammo, tells Meg, then Shelli. She's upset that Austin let the twins cat out of the bag, thus betraying their 6th Sense Alliance. Of course, she doesn't tell Meg or Jason that. But she does run to Vanessa.

Cut to Vanessa and Jackie talking nominations. They give their words that they won't backdoor each other. Jackie mentions Liz on the block. And Steve. (Wah!) They both talk about getting rid of Austin. Jackie would like to be the one to stay HoH.

Who wants to see our HoH room? Nope, not me. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Vanessa corners Austin in a lie or lies about his talk with Jason. She told Austin never to lie to her.

Vanessa tells Julia about Austin's talk with Jason. Then she talks to Shelli about it. "He lied to my face!" Clay volunteers to go on the block with Becky while the other two nominees -- Liz and James -- are supposed to lose BoB. James agrees to throw it. Liz has no clue of the plan. Then they backdoor Austin.

She tells Austin the plan is to backdoor Steve. She explains away why she's putting Clay on the block.

Nominations Today! Jackie nominates James and Liz, but we knew that. Because each put her on the block. Vanessa nominates Clay and Becky. Try to be fair, game decision.

Vanessa confides in Julia and tells her Lizia isn't the target. During the twins switch-out, Julia won't tell her about the Austin wants Julia out bit.

Battle of the Block time -- they have to study the Memory Wall for a few minutes. It's former hamsters. Breaking news have them tossing paint to reveal letters. They have to unscramble names of three hamsters from last season seen eating at Outback. There's also a special award involved. Liz realizes she has to be the brains with her and James. James and Liz win the BotB despite the fact James threw it. Liz did it all. James doesn't seem too excited. James, Liz and Vanessa get a private Outback Steakhouse dinner. Jackie is dethroned.

Clay and Becky remain on the block. Shelli is worried about her boy toy.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - July 26, 2015

Good morning! Welcome to my weekly off television topic reflection of the past week in both words and photographs I've taken along the way! This post is a year 'round "feature" on the blog. If you're looking for Big Brother posts, they can all be found at this link right here. If you're not interested in this particular post, please feel free to skip on by it. I'll be posting a Big Brother blog party post coinciding with the East Coast airing of the show and, late this evening, another live feeds post. Stay tuned.

Let's see ... what happened this past week? Hmm. Between work and blog work, my mind seems all muddled! I remember the weather has been nice for the entire midweek on. I was able to open the windows, turn off the air conditioner and not drip sweat upon exiting my home or workplace. Yay for that! I'm so not a fan of heat and humidity. I could deal with a high temperature of 75 all summer.

Gosh, I'm really pulling a blank on the week. I guess the first thing you lose is indeed your mind!

Um. Um. Well, Vincent has a new "trick" but I can't make him do it and haven't been able to get the camera going on time. He runs and jumps on his cardboard scratching doohickey, making it slide five or six feet across the hardwood floor. Then he does it from the other direction. The first time I heard the noise, I was out in my kitchen and ran to the living room thinking something fell. No, it was just Vincent taking rides.

Why is CBS Sunday Morning all about love this week? I don't watch the show for love stories!

Oh, well ... onto the photos. If you click on an image, you'll get a larger version.

Is this pose good?

This year's pigeon babies in Bridgewater have grown!

NYC green cab in Plainfield

Parked at the Plainfield Train Station one morning this week. The train into the city costs about $10, the cab (because they charge round trip flat rate in NJ) costs over $100. Silliness!

All occupants will be photographed

So, I did. This is the sleeping NYC green cab driver.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Waffling into Sunday - July 26

Maybe we should pull a Zach

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Waffles and Chicken(s):
  • My head is spinning.
  • It's gone from a definite "everybody wants Austin out" to "maybe he shouldn't even go on the block."
  • I so wish these hamsters would decide on a plan and stick to it!
  • Austin keeps trying to minimize and rationalize his lies and betrayals, claiming they were little white lies and for the good of the group, he played emotional because he's fallen in love, he swears to total loyalty from this day forward, they can evict him next week if they save him this week and blah-blah-whine-blah.
  • And, it seems to be working.
  • What I think would be a hoot is if Clay didn't use the veto, sure they'd vote Becky out and he went home!
  • Bwahahahaha!
  • Sigh ... that's not going to happen.
  • Vanessa brought the idea of Clay not using it and Shelli shot that right down.
  • Steve suggested they do like they did with Zach -- put Austin on the block, say he's the target and then save him with the votes. But they don't know if they'd have the numbers.
  • Although I think Becky is expendable (even though she's my blog pool pick person), she has plenty of people in her corner.
  • Clay suggested Jackie should go home.
  • But Vanessa said she doesn't want to be responsible for sending both TAR people home.
  • Why not?
  • It's hard to tell who's lying to whom. I believe the sentiment is indeed switching to not putting Austin up or putting him up, but trying to vote Becky out.
  • We have until tomorrow to get a grasp on this.
  • Oy.
  • I have a hankering to go to IHOP for an order of waffles.

True to Vanessa or not?

He lied to me, but I understand him.

He repulses me, but I trust him.

Keep me off the block, my life for you!

He'll be loyal now. He's a number.

Becky can hula hoop.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Saturday, PoV - July 25

A table for two

I so love a good kerfuffle. Here's what went down today inside that Big Brother House of a Panicking Judas:
  • For the Power of Veto, it's John, Shelli and Liz playing with Vanessa, Clay and Becky. Jason hosted.
  • Of course, the live feeds are always blocked for both the drawing of names and the comp itself.
  • Vanessa had to pick three people (not four this week) for Have Nots. She chose Shelli and Clay as they hadn't been on slop yet. Steve volunteered to be a Have Not.
  • Power of Veto comp apparently had them dressed as squirrels (should have been hamsters). Jason, the host, pronounces "squirrel" oddly with his accent. Heh.
  • Uh-oh. Clay won something.
  • He won the Power of Veto.
  • Becky cried.
  • Shelli did not cry.
  • Becky is worried not only because she will remain on the block, but because she was told not to tell John of the backdoor Austin plan. Meanwhile, she found out that Clay told him. She feels that she's left out of things and she's worried.
  • As she should be.
  • Like I said, she's expendable.
  • Liz continues to get more irked by Austin.
  • Yet, he claims to be "in love" with her.
  • @@
  • Now the HoH groupies are doubting Johnny Mac because he (supposedly) said that he would save Becky with the veto.
  • Liz told Vanessa that she is close to Austin, but he likes her a lot more than she likes him.
  • Really. You don't say.
  • As their conversation continued, Liz mentioned that he repulses her.
  • Heh.
  • Liz is scared that Austin will go wild about being backdoored.
  • So what, I say.
  • Now, for the last forever, I've been listening to Austin apologize, defend his actions, beg and plead with Vanessa not to put him on the block.
  • She needs to toughen up.
  • She tells him that he'd have to get others on his side, the whole house is against him.
  • It continues as I get this posted.

Who wants to be on the block with me?

Reluctant HoH

Watching "Netflix"

YOU are the target, Austin.

Don't send me home!!! Wah!

I won something. I won something.
