who's the girl with the tongue ring? That is the one I want to go home. She has trouble annuciating her words(prob because of the tongue ring)...and has even been told that a few times

That would be Gina. You may get your wish although I think Haley should go before her.

Gina has the pierced tongue...

One good thing about having Michael Buble perform...he proves that you can be mediocre and still have a good career. Phil and Haley have a lot to learn from him.

Absolutely did NOT enjoy the guest performance tonight!

it just bugs me when she slurs her words all together....especially since she has been told to be very careful with that. I would think for the sake of this competition, she could removed the tongue ring....

Not surprised that it was Gina but I, too, thought it would be Phil or Hailey first. If they send anyone of the top three girls home before Sanjaya, I will be done, (SO DONE) with AI. And I don't mean just this season. If S, is still in their after the best have gone, what's the point? They absolutely have to change the voting system or that slime Howard will have totally messed up a good thing forever.

Thank you for the East Coast Idol Update - I live in Arizona and now I can go to bed happy that my home girl Jordan lives for another day and that I can see Hailey's legs/cleavage another week - yeah, I'm a typical male. They got the top 3 correct, no problem with Gina leaving. Now for Sanjaya, with Vote for the Worst and Howard Stern going for him, who knows how many more weeks we have to deal with him. Thank you again for the news. Mike

And I thought I was the only one not to care for Buble...never understood the fuss about him.

At least Sanjaya was in the middle 3 little blessings imao

I liked Gina...I was sure it would be Haley

I have a completely different view of Michael Buble! I actually find him entertaining, and like him within his genre. Can't say that tonight was his best performance, and I didn't love the last note on his song, but he probably received "the call" to pinch hit for Tony Bennett at the 11th hour, and they were actually lucky to get someone to fit with the theme of the week. As always, just my opinion! :)

I don't believe Gina deserved to go home yet, and I am literally becoming more and more disappointed in this season as each week goes by...

And, while I am venting, I have always hated that they make the "loser" sing after they have been voted off. They are emotional, not in great form, and it just doesn't seem fair, or in the best interest of anyone.

Thanks for letting me go off for a moment ~ ha!!

Oh dla,I couldn't agree with you more about the exit singing! How cruel to make them stand there and sing. And GINA was very, very upset by her elimination. So was I!! I so believe there were three others with less talent than her left still standing!!

I am so on the edge of never watching this any more. I think anybody with any true passion about "good" singing is disgusted by the turn of events this time around. But as long as there are millions to be made by milking the teenyboppers and getting publicity from Stern, then am afraid this farce will continue. And I truly believe the judges need to be replaced.Paula is a joke and Simon acts as if he's so above this and Randy just on basic principle!

And,I agree with you about Buble, dla. I can take or leave him,but I,too, winced at that last note he hit. Last minute or not,he's still a professional and that note was NOT pretty.

Look at the bright side folks. At the very least we now know Jordin, Melinda & Lakisha voters outnumber the Sanjaya voters, and possibly Blake & Chris voters as well. He's far from the top. VFTW, Stern, teeny boppers and the people of and from India have done all they can and it won't be enough. We'll hope that the Gina voters will move on to support someone else and give the deserving contestants more of a lead.

in my opinion american idol has become a big joke and this is the worst season ever. I really dont think there is anyone I fully root for. It just been okay for me.

I don't think it's all that bad. In the end it will the the top 4 or 5 it should have been. Granted, Sanjaya should have went first but at the end of the day when it's the top few left the 7 or 8 that went will be gone, the order they went in is irrelevent at that point. I no longer think "they" have any chance of pulling off a Sanjaya win, given the top 3 this week. I appreciate Idol throwing us that bone. The top people's numbers will only grow as others are voted off and Sanjaya's numbers will stay the same. Look at the year Scott Savol went to 5th place. IMO, he was worse than Sanjaya. Every season there is pretty much someone bad who goes too far, be it from VFTW or sympathy or what ever. And there are always the shockers of good people who went too soon - Daughtry, Constantine, Jennifer Hudson, LaToya London, etc. I don't see this season as that much different than other seasons. (I have watched every season except the first)
