'Big Brother 8' - New House Photos Online

As we near the big press day which seems to be tomorrow by all indications, the TVGuide.com website has posted pictures of the new Big Brother 8 house. Due to copyright issues, I don't dare copy the photos here, but you can take a look at them, then come on back here.

After all, we have to talk about this.

Look at that memory wall. There are 14 frames, not the 12 which have been in the promos. That tells us it won't be a short season, it's unlikely that a previous houseguest will unexpectedly return, and there will probably be a typical double eviction week (or two).

Enchanted Forest? Purple touches throughout? A bedroom in which you feel very big and one in which you feel very small? Shades of Alice in Wonderland, according to executive producer Allison Grodner.

A quote from the site: "Claustrophobia alert! This two-sizes-too-small room has five beds that are only 5 feet long and is filled with low-to-the-ground child-size chairs 'Essentially [they'll be] living in a dollhouse,' says Grodner." Meanwhile, the "big" room has shoulder-height beds.

Oh, no! It sounds like that bad BB take-off they use in an old commercial where a couple is living in a tiny house! Ah, but topiaries in the yard are cool.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this. I feel like I've had some kind of mushroom...

Your thoughts on the new house decor?

Hi Jackie!

I love it!!! It is whimsical and quirky! I hope the houseguests are aligned with the house. ;)

The countdown is on....

Very pretty - well, the downstairs, anyway. Not so sure about the x-small/x-large beds. As a tall person, I would be miserable in one of those tiny beds, but I guess that's the point.

I'm sure the houseguests will have the place trashed in a week or so. They always seem to forget how to wash dishes and pick up clothes once they get in the house :)

I'll be interested to see how the teacup works (motorized?) Nothing can beat Dr. Will on the trampoline, though!

Maybe Alison Grodner got the Alice in Wonderland idea cause she's a fan of Lost? Maybe there's a hidden hatch in the backyard? OK, I'm really just in Lost withdrawal. Let the games begin! Bring on the Chen-bot!

Only 8 days to go! Whoo-hoo!!!

It also looks like 14 chairs around the dining table. Why do those pictures kind of give me the willies? I thought 'fairie tales' before reading the captions. But weirderd ones for some reason. (weird).. I have a strong feeling the new housemates are not gonna be happy campers when they see their odd new digs, particularly the beds. 5 foot long?. I'm getting neck cramps just thinking about it. There'll ba hassles about those beds from day one. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Alice in Wonderland is my favorite Disney movie, so I'm super pleased with the new look of the house. I hope that "fairy tales" does have something to do with the theme and that some of their challenges portray that.

Oh Orkmommy, that would be a great thing, Julie in drag..oops ! I mean Julie dressed as the wicked witch anyway. Deb in CA, I am suffering along with you with this heat....cant wait to get involved in BB8 and forget about it. Im loving the new theme, the other was old and tired. All those mirrors, maybe some of them Two -way? spying possibly?
I just miss Janelle in the mix!

Im still high on seeing Three Dog Night at the casino last night..they stillROCK!

I don't think I personally like the new decor, but it's obviously sending a theme message. CBS must have rummaged through their old warehouses for the furniture. ;) Guess I'd better brush up on "Alice in Wonderland". LOL I'm expecting it to be a wild "Toad" ride...as usual.
Hang on, here we go!

I think the best part of BB8 is the nightly 3-hour uncensored live broadcast on Showtime Too. It may not show much (depending on what mood they're in) but at least you'll hear and see more that the networks will show and more like international Big Brothers. It's at 12am eastern and 11 central.
