So far, recap!
Julie says it's been an exciting and explosive week. She has the explosive right. Now recapping the veto meeting in black in white.
Jameka is happy that Jen replaced Amber as it means a better chance she'll stay in the game.
Jenth Degree is on the treadmill when Dick comes in. He told her that talking about not needing the money has had a big effect. Jen tells him she's not bitter. Then she goes to Daniele in the HOH room. The JenBot actually sheds a tear. They really shortneed this. The conversation lasted about 20 minutes in real life.
Amber and Daniele take off for their trip.
Jen is talking to Jameka about not wanting to go to the sequester house. Jameka thinks she disrespected the integrity of the game.
Ah, Jen hides her won stuff in prep for destroying Dick's cigarettes. And, she's cooking! Turkey burgers! Jameka shouldn't play with her bare feet as she talks. Dick thinks Jen wants attention. AHA! The cigarettes! She has them, to the storage room! Jumping on them! She hid her clothes so Dick couldn't destroy them, yet is destroying four cartons of his cigarettes.
Dick looks for them, mentions the deal to be nice and wants to know where she hid them. Everyone else just stares. Dick found her stuff and hid it upstairs in the HOH room thinking she had just hidden his cigarettes.
Jen approaches Eric and others saying, "I'll now perform ... eating." Everyone tells her not to, but then dismiss her as a cheater. She's called to the Diary Room. She explains to us that she received a penalty vote -- an automatic vote to evict her tonight.
They show the slapping his cigarette bit. Ah, they're showing it all! Must see TV! He was wrong to blow the smoke, but she kept at him. She slapped at him, yet he actually was pretty restrained.
Amber and Daniele are heading to the Big Apple for their Power of Ten appearance. A private jet. Now Amber says NYC is so cool -- on the feeds she dissed it. They will play against each other, then one will go for the big bucks. Nick is going to be Daniele's "friend, family member" whatever and Amber's cousin will be hers. Nick's Mohawk has gron in a bit. Oh, geez ... they showed the beginning. Amber is a ham. @@
Julie is talking to them. And Amber is going on, but not crying! Julie tells Jen she's the first person in 8 years of the show to break food restriction and receive a penalty vote. Jen thought she made history by being there.
Now the streak of Eric's streaking, etc. We're into commercial and the voting should begin soon.
Julie's talking to Daniele in the HOH room. She tells Julie she owes a lot of credit to Eric and Jessica. She says she would love to be sitting next to her Dad in the final two ... because he has a lot of enemies. @@
Talk with the nominees -- Jen says, "I'm Jen" No, she's happy and honest and doesn't fit in here, happy to come here, happy to leave. Jameka is honored and happy to be in the house, nice speech.
Jen has one penalty vote for eviction.

Unanimous plus one, Jen is evicted from the Big Brother house... but a commercial first!
Jen gives a big smile. Amberr hugs, Eric says as happy as she is to be leaving, they're happier to see her go. Zach hugged her. Jen said something about Daniele having her back, but I didn't catch it all. Ah, Daniele just said she said, "I'm glad you had my back."
Julie tells Jen she's one of the most compelling HG ever. She listed various Jen-actions. Dick mean things -- is it how he feels or strategy? Jen said it wasn't appropriate either way. She mentions she'll be on the jury. Jameka says although bad first impression, changed. Eric calls her fun and unique and interesting. Dick tells her she should have been gone long ago. Jessica is apologetic. Zach tells her she's a great competitor. Daniele wishes she had left on a better note and apologizes. Amber, crying face, says she's not as bad as she thought she was -- show off the beautiful person inside to the whole world.
HOH Comp -- "Tanks for the Memories" -- Evicted HG will get revenge. They're on dunk tanks. Jen gets to dunk them if they're wrong with the answers.

The confortation between Dick and Jen was painful for me to watch. Frankly, I would rather watch Amber cry than view something like what CBS showed. Yes, Jen was wrong in destroying Dick's property and yes, Dick was wrong when he blew smoke in her face. And, CBS was wrong to show it. No number of wrongs makes a right. I think they know what will set the other off.

Jen's a poor player and a worse loser. She basically cheated--I'm glad that Eric said something to her on the way out--she had it coming!
Jen was a poor sport all the way around, and somehow seemed to think she was better than everyone else and pretty much stated that.

As much as I can't stand Amber's face and crying... I'm voting for Dick to go. Please...now the F4 could be Eric, Jess, Zack and Jameka...anyody but Dick and Daniele. Amber can go next, but please get Dick out of there. I can't handle any more of him.
I agree with Orkmommy. She was trying to knock the cigarette out of his hand, not grab hold of it but he kept saying she'd get burned and then he purposely burned her. She was stupid to keep going after it, but I can see where I would have lost it at that point had I had to endure all his crap all these weeks.
I felt so sorry for her at the end. It appeared no one was going to say goodbye to her until Amber did. I haven't said anything about Eric up to this point, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he's a real jerk! He's no representative of mine.
My votes went to Dick. He is beyond mean. He was vicious. I did like him at first, but he treats everyone badly if it suits him. I did notice he backs off if someone stands up to him, like Zach.

I wonderf if the reason for no double eviction as of yet is because Eric would not have time to get America's vote for nomination since it is done on the same night. Maybe they are waiting to do that after Eric gets voted out. (if he does)

Jen spoke the truth, she never did fit in with the other hgs. I'm not going along with the rest of her statement. I don't know about it, but being on the outside of the in crowd can be as bad as eating slop for a month. Mostly, what I came away with from tonight's show, is that it isn't an 'either/or' situation. What I mean is that just because Jen was wrong doesn't make Dick right. It was mean and ugly and even the editing couldn't change it. And as Amber might say, "What is Integrity?" Thank you, Jackie. Bap - Jen was actually a pretty good sport up until this week. She put up with several weeks of Dick (and to a lesser extent the other HG's) swearing at her, putting her down, calling her names and pouring iced tea on her head. She finally snapped and I'm just surprised she lasted as long as she did without doing something drastic. I don't agree with many of the things she did in the game, but NOBODY deserves to be treated the way Dick and the rest of the HG's treated her.

Orkmommy- Actually Jen was NUTS for putting up with it. Who in there right mind would just sit there and take it? Yep, Dick says horrible things to people, and they have all come back at him at one time or another (Dustin, Amber, Jameka, Eric) and have lived to tell about it.
Why didn't Jen? Image maybe? I dunno.
But he did promise to stop talking about her, yelling at her, whatever you want to call what he did to her, and she started up again with him. She destroyed his belongings. I don't care if she is anti-smoking or what, it was his belongings.
In the end, she provoked him. She cracked. Maybe she figured Dick going after her gave her more camera time then him ignoring her. I don't know.
IMHO, something is not right with her, and she came in like that.

Bap - What I had the problem with is that Dick said "I promised to not be mean to you". Right after the Veto ceremony when she was in the work out room, he came in and started in on her. She tried to defend herself and explain what she really said, but he wouldn't let her. That was being mean!
I agree with Sue, it wasn't an either/or situation. Dick was just as wrong as Jen and he didn't get any punishment. When he held her clothes ransom for several days, that was stealing in my book. He took something that belonged to her without her permission. It's not the first time he did that either. Neither were in the right but Jen was the only one to pay for it.
OMG--reading Jokers and Amb told Jam that she asked God to not have her win today but let Jess win!!! Where did BB find her????
Is there even time for a double eviction? There are 7 HG's left. They usually go into the last week with the final 3 HG's and there's 5 weeks left. That leaves 4 more weeks for evictions. Is my math right?

ORKMommy - The math sounds right according to what they said. Now, Survivor begins in the Thursday slot on 9/20. So I'm thinking the finale has to be either Sunday or Tuesday of that week -- the 18th or 16th or 16th. Isn't that only four weeks?
I can't stand ED and his witchy daughter. Daniele makes me sick with her arrogant attitude as if she is above the fray and the unwashed masses should divert their eyes when she is around. I am hoping that twit and her disgusting father get nominated this week. I truly felt sorry for Jen this past week and at the eviction ceremony. Jackie I have a question. In past seasons, I seem to remember the hgs getting to talk to a doctor/therapist when the need arose. I think it was during All Star when several times we heard it mentioned. Also, maybe when Amy wanted to leave. Maybe other seasons, too. I don't remember anything about that this season. I found ED's treatment of Jen throughout the entire game to be totally uncalled for and it definitely crossed a line. I watched the show with some people who had never seen it before, and they could not believe the rude things dick was doing and saying. No one should ever have to be tormented like that, no matter how much you dont like them. To quote my dad, "If he was treating my daughter like that, I would be waiting for him outside that house and we would see how big and bad he really is". Jess do us a favor and nominate the father/daughter duo please!!
I know they've mentioned regualr medics, but I don't recall them mentioning a therapist this season. I'm sure there's one available.
Orkmommy--I totally agree with you and they didn't bother to show ED calling her names and trashing her before the cigarette smashing incident. CBS edited it in his favor to the best of their ability. She put up with a lot more than most people would have before cracking and if she wasn't permitted to destroy cigarettes they should have told her that a long time ago after she tossed some in the pool a while back. They also could have stopped her before or during the smashing but let it continue THEN told her she couldn't do it and replaced them. He clearly tried to burn her and they didn't try to stop it until after it had gone on far too long. I noticed they also didn't tell us on the live show that they replaced all his cigarettes. Shame on CBS for continueing this disgusting display!

I too feel bad for Jen. She finally cracked. Can you imagine going through what she went through with Dick? Nobody (I don't care if you lied or whatever) deserves to be abused (verbally and physically~ ice tea over the head) like that. It doesn't seem that BB did anything to stop it (unless it was on the feeds), in fact they probably encouaged it because it made things exciting for some people~ but not me. And we wonder why kids have no morals in the world!! Adults act like immature idiots! That's just my opinion.
Hi Everyone! This is my first post to this space, but I've been following Jackie's blog and your comments since just after the infamous iced tea incident. I much prefer Jackie's site to the official one - on the whole, everyone is much more tolerant here. I've been a BB fan since season 2, think the Allstars season was the best, and think Dr. Will is the ultimate BB player. I agree with many of you that the hg this season leave much to be desired! I'm having a hard time pulling for any of them. Zach and Jessica are the only two I even remotely like, and Amber has gotten on my very last nerve - she needs to go, to save everyone's (other hg and viewers) sanity.

Does anyone else think it slightly odd that Jen got to participate in tonight's HOH? I couldn't help but wonder if that was part of a deal she made with the producers - she'd go to the sequester house quietly in return for extra TV time tonight. I didn't think she seemed all that surprised when Julie said they weren't done with her, but maybe they'd discussed it while we watched the house just prior to the interview. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?
Thanks for all your hard work, Jackie. This blog is about the only thing making this season bearable - I hope this season's hgs don't lead to the end of BB!

Eric sure was rude to Jen while she was going out the door, he's an embarrassment representing Ap........< this week I'm going to vote making it harder for him, poor Jess I'm happy she won Hoh... sure hope she realizes Dick and Danielle have to be split up they cant be trusted Zach isn't a threat, but Dick is probably gonna throw him under the bus....<<< Jess really needs to use straight from the horse's mouth Danielle's rational excuse for backdooring Jen..that was cause Jen was a strong fierce competitor. Danielle and Dick are tough to beat so neither one of them should feel insulted nor upset if their nominated again or backdoored it makes logical sense for Jess try to have a stronger Hg evicted.

Eric was totally cruel when Jen left tonight... and I can tell you he does not speak for my vote. Some thing is so wrong with him, the digusting way he talks on showtime at night. I didn't like him much before, I truly dislike him now. Not a big fan of Amber's but at least she had the decency to say goodbye to Jen, when everyone was going to let her go.........so alone! It was really inhumane how Jen was treated this past week, regardless of how stuck she seemed to be on herself. She never intentionally hurt anyone and it is scary even on a reality show, to see people hurt others for the fun of it.

Steph - Welcome aboard! As you can tell, there are a lot of varying opinions here, but as long as folks discuss the issues as they have (for the most part) without being an Evel Dick here in the comments ... as Jameka would say, "it's all good."

The ironic thing is that when he dumped the iced tea on her, it was a direct result of a verbal confrontation between Jen and Dani. Soooooo...Jen was being mean to Dani and Dick retaliated against Jen. He's obviously sticking up for his little girl.
Didn't Jen mention that her parents are wealthy? Maybe her dad will hire one of the thugs from the Sopranos extras list to rough him up at the wrap party!
As loony as Amber is, I voted for Daniele to be nominated. I just got through watching YouTube's clips of the recent fight between Dani and her dad and also the follow-up clip when Dick tried to talk to her as an adult. What a spoiled, heartless, self-centered little brat she is. I'm totally sick of her.

In response to former bb fan, I am curious if Jen seeks legal action regarding the way Dick treated her. I think they both crossed the line and was surprised BB allowed the fight but they are in this for the ratings. (And we are watching it.) Dick is a bully IMO. I can't imagine someone treating my daughter like that.

I have to say I can't stand Dick or Danielle. I don't want to listen to Dick anymore, but you have to think that everyone there is thinking if I make it to the final 2 with Dick, I could beat him! Don't you think?
I agree with Jackie on this one. Jen was provoking Dick and new she had one chance, an off chance of staying in the house. That chance was to get Dick out of there before the vote. She totally set up the whole thing that night and I was one of those watching it all play out on the feeds. She knew what she was doing when she crushed and bleached his cigarettes. She was a crybaby when BB gave them back to Dick, or replaced them. That's when she snapped in my opinion. The editing tonight didn't show that, nor did they show BB saying, "Dick" :::cut to FOTH on the feeds:::, and then Dick telling the rest out back that BB told him, 'hiding things was okay, but destroying things were not'.
Dick was calm for Dick that night and for the most part, other than blowing the smoke took the high ground in the whole Jen orchestrated fiasco. I'm glad we finally saw the whole fight, because we missed that on the feeds and on ShowToo. Jen was advancing on Dick and she was grabbing at a lit cigarette. That is stupid in my opinion. JMO
They are all under a contract in this game and evidently Dick has not broke that contract. He could hide her clothes as long as he could by the rules. He DID NOT destroy any of her things.
I'm voting AMBER all the way for AP this week. I'm tired of her crying and doing nothing at all in the game other than being a blabbermouth, a hypocrit and a snake. I called her James early in the season and she is still a James, IMO.

Anyway, Dick and Zach were just talking about Jen and Zach said "She should respect the other players". Now the problem I have with this statement is that he's talking to Dick. Dick has the least amount of respect for the other players than anyone else in the house!!!

okay, i'm not a fan of the way the dick is always picking on people, well, people that are female and smaller than him, but the fact that jen sat right down next to him while he was smoking and then complained about it, why didn't she just go eat her forbidden fruit elsewhere? cigarette smoking is totally annoying and if it offends you (as it does me) why would you sit on top of it?

I'm in the "Jen provoked Dick" corner. She clearly was coming at him. And I find it appalling that she willfully destoyed at least $200 worth of his property. As far as I'm concerned, she got exactly what she deserved. Blowing smoke in someone's face? Come on. Hardly an egregious offense in the grand scheme of things. I'm not a smoker (quit 15 years ago), but I understand that there are those who still smoke, and I certainly don't feel that I have the right to ostracize them for doing something that's legal.
Anyone who doesn't like Dick's behavior, or Amber's, or Eric's, or Daniele's, is free to stop watching. It's a very simple solution.

I completely disagree with you. There are areas of this country where blowing smoke directly at someone else is considered a simple assault. There's a reason everyone is up in arms about second hand smoke. It's dangerous. I agree that if Dick had been sitting there first, Jen could have just not gone over there BUT she was there first. I'm an ex-smoker and I firmly believe that it's the smokers who need to be aware of where they're smoking not the other way around. Smokers make the choice to continue a dangerous habit...

Orkmommy, I generally agree with your comments. But not on this one. Yes, secondhand smoke is dangerous. So is exhaust from cars and buses, but I doubt that very many of us would be willing to give up our cars because of it.
If, when I was smoking, someone had tried to knock a cigarette out of my hand, I'd have flattened them. Jen was just as much in the wrong as Dick, if not more so.

mm...I agree with you. I also watched most of the Jen thing with the cigs and the eating on the feeds and she completely and totally knew what she was doing and read and re-read the rules book in the process. She hid her clothes because she knew she was about to provoke Dick.
As I've said before, I absolutely cringe and shake my head at the vulgarity spewed by Dick. I can't fault Jen or anyone for losing it over his cr*p. OTOH, I really doubt that Jen just "lost it", she had a plan and that was to either get out completely (no sequester) or stay via a penalty nomination for eating. The flaw was that she figured she'd get a penalty nom next week and immediately planted seeds about how she'd be no threat because she couldn't get the veto with a penalty nom. It almost worked because as Jackie reported, Dick et. al. figured that with a penalty nom for Jen the following week, they could vote Jam out this week, Jen out next (when she'd be unable to win veto) and Amber next. BB didn't go for that...unfair to Jam and Amber.
IMO, Jen knew exactly what she was doing and btw, I agree with Jackie and others that Jen's reaching toward the burning end of the cig does not make it that Dick tried to burn her. He made quite a show of not putting his hands on her. I wouldn't put it past Jen that she hoped he would put his hands on her and thereby surely be evicted.
I still think Jen also wanted more air time. She's smart although terribly odd.
I had to laugh when Amber said she has an upbeat personality...huh? say what? And the audience "will love me". OMG...she is one piece of work.
I fault BB and their "psych eval" people for putting someone so early in "recovery" on the show. It is not at all unusual to be emotionally fragile and self absorbed in the early stages of that process. And that being said...(lol)...I want her gone!

I am appalled at BB's tacit approval and acceptance of Dick's criminal behavior of Jen. I hope Jen does get a lawyer and takes on Dick and BB.
What troubles me is people saying well, she could have quit (why should she be penalized for HIS behavior), or she could have complained to BB (how on earth can any of us know that she didn't?).
Maybe she went to BB again and again and complained about the abuse and harassement. Everybody just assumes she didn't. But maybe she did and they chose to let it continue because they knew the controversy would increase their ratings. And if that is the case then they were complicit in the abuse. Either way this is by far the most shameful chapter in BB history.

I think everyone has overlooked the fact that Jen did not flip out because of Dick's abusive language, but she flipped because she does not want to go to sequester with Dustin. She said she would quit before going to sequester.
In my opinion, she went on this litle rampage because she most likely found out from bb that she has a contract and that she has to go to sequester as part of her deal. I think she figured if she couldn't quit, she would do whatever to get disqualified and hoping she would therefore not have to fulfil the contract.
She was fine all this time, including with Dick smoking. It was only after she started complaining that she wouldn't go to sequester that she started all these plans about destroying Dick's cigarettes and going on the eating binge when she was supposed to be on slop.
No, Dick shouldn't have blown the smoke in her face, but again, he only did so after he found out she had destroyed 4 cartons of his cigs.
Yes, Dick turned his cigarette around so as not to burn himself and he kept warning her she was going to get burned, but she still went after his cigarette. I don't care how mad I get, I certainly wouldn't keep swatting at a lit cigarette.

The idea that Jen brought it on herself because she trashed his cigarettes is offensive. What people seem to be saying is that Jen should have just passively accepted all of Dick's abuse. She should have just cowered, left the room anytime he told her to and just basically become completely submissive and allowed him to utterly dominant her.
Well she didn't. She tried to fight back in an impossible situation where Dick attacked her and tried to humilate her and belittle her at every turn. None of the other gutless people in the house said a peep except to occasionally heap on abuse of their own. And BB stood by, watching it all, and counted dollar signs while they did it.
I could care less about the dollar value of his cigarettes. No one deserves what Jen endured. The cigarettes, the eating, the crying at her photos: by what kind of twilight zone math can that be equated to be equal to Dick's behavior?

I will follow what I learned in kindergarten. The name calling doesn't bother me, or I would be stuck listening to only Amber's prayers and games of beer pong (snore!ZZZZZZZZ). Each player brings a certain game play and Dick happens to pick at people in hopes to break them down. BB puts people on slop to slow their game & break them down, they are locked in a house to break them down. Why? so that America can watch what happens when "people stop being nice" (I know thats Real World), but it fits here too. Jen began the downfall when she started eating. Her intent was to be thrown out of the house and she was pulling out all the stops. She ate, Dick blew smoke, she went in & destroyed cigs, Dick hid clothes, she ate more, Dick blew smoke, Jen attacked(swinging hands & thinking it was her God given right to remove a cigarette from somones hand), got burnt & then went back for more & this time trying to hit and would have if it weren't for Jameka. Anyone who asks before the show if she could destroy cigarettes then claims to be annoyed by the smoke since week 1, is clearly a person who feels that what she wants is ALL THAT MATTERS. Jen instigated the entire incident and is a total moron! I applaud Dicks restraint in not knocking the twit on her butt. Once again, Jen used sticks & stones & they hurt, where Dick used words......BIG DIFFERENCE! I'm just glad she was the one who hurt herself, KARMA!

I wanted to say something else about the cig.. burn. I know she should not have been swatting it...he was blowing smoke in her face which i would have swatted his cig. after he did that to me. but here is the thing that got me.....she was swatting at the ash which would have just been knocked away, he was trying to stab her with the cig. which would have been a burn hole or something. He could have just moved it or done nothing but he was trying to stab it at her saying you are going to get burned...i promise you. He wanted her to do something so he could burn her. CBS WANTS conflict in BB. That's the main reason for the show.
In almost all the polls, including the one on CBS' own site, Dick is the most popular HG. But had he done something that they felt really crossed the line, he'd have been gone long ago. I doubt that Jen would have much of a case against CBS or Dick. CBS has a huge legal team, and HG behavior is carefully monitored. And, essentially, Jen signed up for this.
That said, I agree that BB has sunk to a new low. I'm afraid, though, that your protests to CBS are falling on deaf ears.

If you want them to start listening to your complaints there's only one way to do it. Complain to the companies that sponser this show. Tell the sponsers that you will never buy their products if they support this kind of behavior on a national tv show. If enough complaints come in to the sponsers, the sponsers will complain to CBS and CBS will take care of the problem. CBS will do whatever it takes to keep sponsers happy. The sponsers will do whatever it takes to keep getting your money. It's called Capitalism.

Off to bed, but a few of you have commented on exactly what I'm feeling at this point in the game.
Jen did instigate the entire episode that we watched play out on TV tonight. She absolutely knew what she was doing, or at the least was very conniving on how to get Dick out of the house. Her stradegy didn't work! Dick did not hit her, Dick did not put his hands on her other than the slap her hand away from his face. He displayed amazing restraint that night and I think BB did the right thing.
Words are just words. Yes, they are disgusting and cruel words and Dick has been warned about it. He toned it down after the bone crushing comments and hasn't crossed that line to this point since then. Does that make it right? NO, it doesn't. People forget about the "game" (and this is a game) when they start taking this so personally. It is a game. Its why I like this show so much. Its the ultimate social experiment.
I'm sure all of these people will come out of this untouched (well not Amber with her earlier comments about Jews, but even she will see the error of that and grow from it, I hope) and will do things differently because of this experience.
We trash all of them on here for the most part. They're humans and they're playing a game. Some of them play the game better than others and we get to disect and digest it all summer long.

It's simple really. You have a computer write the sponsers an e-mail. Basically all you have to do is tell them that you will not buy their products if they continue to sponser tv shows that glorify this kind of beahvior.
You hit him where it hurts. CBS is a corporation which exits to make money. They make their money from selling commercials. The ratings have nothing to do with it except that the higher the ratings the more they can charge for the commercials. That's why a superbowl ad is a million dollars for a thirty second spot. Hit the commercials. I would like to take credit for coming up with this tactic but a couple of years ago a group of Christians did it to protest NYPD Blue and other shows that showed nudity on primetime tv.

As far as the whole cigarette incident goes I think they were both in the wrong there.
However, I can completely understand why all of the rest of the hgs were rather hostile towards jen after that night. She showed a complete lack of respect for the game and her fellow hgs by not playing by the rules. She agreed to be on slop for a certain # of days during the pov, no one forced her to put down that #, it was her decision. The fact that she had previously wanted to be on slop shows that she started eating in protest because she didn't get her way. She was a very poor sport once she was nominated, even if she was backdoored. Almost all of the former hgs have been evicted this way this season. She was obviously just upset that she wasn't going to get anymore camera time. She completely thought that she was above eveyone else and didn't have to play by the rules. She said multiple times that she didn't need the money and how much better her life was before she entered the house. Then why go on the show in the first place? Oh, thats right beause they practically forced her to, according to her. I think she just viewed this as just
another "acting" appearance like she has done in other tv shows or movies, but of course with a lot more screen time. Most of the other people in the house really do need the money and take the game seriously. To her it was all a big joke. She was entertaining for a while but now I'm just glad she's gone. I'm sure she'll make a hissy fit and refuse to go to sequester, by her agents request of course because she's such a sought after actress/model/nanny. Whatever. Hope she made Vanna proud.
As far as who jess will put up, I do think it will depend on the ap vote. I personally voted for amber and pray to God she goes. Strategically, I disagree with most that she should put up d&d. If eric and jess went against them now then pretty much the whole
house would be against them since amber and jam no longer trust them either. This would be very bad because next week jess obviously can't compete and eric will likely throw hoh till the end out of fear that america will chose to make him nominate two people that he doesn't want to. Plus, it's likely that if either dick or dani go home this week the other one will win hoh next, since jam and jess can't compete, zach and amber suck at comps, and eric will throw it.

I'm in the "Dick provoked Jen by approaching her on the couch" camp in the cigarette burn incident. He has said countless times that blowing smoke is Jen repellent, so he KNOWS that gets her goat. He just wasn't expecting her to do anything other than run away. So, she fought back for once. Good on her. Scary that he was acting like he was going to put his cigarette out on her, though.
If I never hear "integrity of the game" again, it'll be too soon.
But what I really want to talk about is the AP vote on tonight's show! How come nobody's talking about it?? Why didn't Eric go into the DR and read the card as usual if it was really Jen? Doesn't that seem odd? Frankly, I think the AP vote was for Jameka, and Eric refused to do it. BB was mad at Jen for blowing them off, and wanted to avoid a potential banner plane situation, so they said they could do what he wanted and let him cast his own vote. VERY SKETCHY.

A couple of comments:
1) When was Jen ever "smart?" I just don't see it. She was average at best.
2) I don't think anyone who signed up to play Big Brother signed up for verbal abuse or to be verbally berated on an almost daily basis. Just because you signed up to live in the house, doesn't mean you signed up to be attacked.
3) Vote for AMBER...her crying is so old...I can't stand it anymore.
4)As much as people may dislike someone...I can't believe that no one told Dick that he could be mad at Jen all he wants, but when he calls women cunts, bitches, whores, twats, etc., he is showing his true sexist, chauvanistic, mysogynistic self...and they should tell him that they will not tolerate those kind of derogatory remarks about women...he can yell, get mad etc., but someone should have told Dick where to take his awful remarks...and showed him where the soap is so he can wash his mouth out. That being said...if someone had put Dick in his place...all would be okay. Dick DOES have a soft side...his dark side is just so ugly.
That being said, I'm glad Jen is gone. I dislike narcissists and Jen was definitely a narcissist.
I'm tired of Zach being called an ogre too. I feel badly for him even though he said some crude remarks early in the game.

I just saw a video of Dick talking to Jess about who to put up for Noms and he said that from now on he's going to be playing for himself because it wasn't fair to just throw it to Dani because of his son.

He is a disgusting animal. Daniele is an annoying brat but I feel sorry for her, look at what she has for a dad. You know he's turned it on her, she said in the beginning "he's a mean friend." Looking at the popularity polls on the BB site, Dick had a 44% popularity rating last week. I can't understand why!!!
I think most smokers have enough common courtesy not to smoke around people when they're eating, & most smokers I know don't like being around smoke when they're eating!! That was extremely disrespectful & I'm glad that Jen stood up for herself.
Good for Dick. It's obvious he was playing for two, and she was playing for one. With all the stuff Amber promised Dani, she easily could've brokered a deal for her dad, too. But still, that's not to say he couldn't be pressured into using the veto on her again if it came up. I hope she gets backdoored this week. As sick as I am of Amber, take out Amber next week.

For those who are complaining about what Dick or any other houseguest gets by with, if you are so disgusted, you can just stop watching. Simple as that. If enough people get disgusted and no one watches, I'm sure the show will end. But sorry, I don't see that happening, lol.

I'm a rocket scientist, and I couldn't tell you what mavericks meant. Punctuation is your friend, buddy! But in the second message, he was referring to tonight's show, not the most recent AP vote. Joker's was referring to the one for Sunday's show, which is assumed to be Amber.
But I will say that I'm sick of people saying, "If it bugs you, don't watch it!" Can't something bother you, and then you come to a place like Jackie's blog to discuss it with other viewers? I'm hard pressed to find a single HG to root for this season, but I'm not going to just quit watching. I've put in so much time that it just seems silly to quit now.
Anon 3:17... I noticed that as well, but I think it was a lack of time since so much had happened this week (Dani & Amber trip & the Dick/Jen fight). They probably told him ahead of time so as to cut the crap of him talking to America about our choice and his mission.
Mavericks... I assume you were addressing me about the polls since I commented on your post. Sorry to say, I have never commented about the polls since I just found out last week that they even existed at CBS. But with a lil footwork, I noticed that AP voted pretty dead on to what the polls there show. As for the AP votes, I have voted exactly as the majority when it comes to noms & evictions, since the AP has done exactly what I hoped he would each week. So you got the wrong gal here by accusing me of only liking the polls when it suits me. I've agreed with each one. :)
Anon 4:36... My thoughts exactly. If people are so disgusted with the events of the house why continue to watch? Stop watching and let the ratings drop & send a message that way. I'm not saying things haven't annoyed me(Amber), but I also understand it is a part of the social experiment and nothing in this show is offensive to me. Words are only words, it is what the person who is receiving them does with them that matters. Just because Dick calls someone a C***, that alone does not make them one. I guess I just cannot understand getting offended each week by the show, but continuing to tune in, Obsessed fan or not...
Watching the show, my reaction was more "What is Jen DOING?" than "What is Dick DOING?".
I do hope that once she gets to sequester, Dustin isn't a total idiot, and she can talk to him. Her experience has to have left a scar. I agree with the poster that said if I were her mother, I'd want to wait for ED with a baseball bat in hand, but I'd also have set up a years worth of therapy for Jen.

I'd like to see Jess and Eric spend this week reclaiming their former numbers with Amber and Jameka and get one of the D's out. Wahmber has got to go if indeed there is a double eviction --SHe CANNOT WIN THiS THING. Then I'd like to see Jameka, Zach or Jess slug it out.

I noticed a previous poster stating that Dick is going to play for himself, as it is not fair to his son. This might be the smartest thinking this guy has had so far.
So will we see Dick call Daniele the names he has called others? Maybe he has already in the "real world" and this is one of the problems these two have.
I do not want Dick to go this week. Believe me, not that I care for him. I think Jen needs a week to catch her breath before puttin up with any of his antics. Jen was not a favorite of mine, but nobody deserves what she endured with this ED. This is just not Dick in the game, IMO this is who Dick is on a everyday level in life. Just think about it, the record speaks for itself, no wife and his own daughter has little or nothing to do with the guy. Yes, mother's accept their children in the good and the bad times, it just life.
It will be interesting to see what Jessica will do. At this point I guess I really don't care who leaves. It would not bother me in the least to see Jessica put Eric up on the block. I think he has been overpaid to be AP.

Anon 4:15 - I liked Jen better than Jameka and still voted my 10 times for Jen. The popularity poll doesn't automatically transfer to the AP picks. My AP votes are more about what would make for better TV and what would benefit the other players I'm rooting for.

No player should have to leave the game as the only remedy to ANOTHER player's actions. Where is the accountability of the other player and BB?
No one should have to give up their summer TV viewing as the only solution to a very sorry chapter on the show. Especially since it would make zero difference. I am not a Nielsen family. If me and a thousand of my friends stopped watching BB today CBS would not even know. So that is not a solution. That is skulking away quietly, submissively. Sorry, no can do.
No I for one choose to be a little more proactive. I blog, I email CBS, I will email Sponsors. I will work for, and in fact demand, change. I will not sit passively by and watch abuse and exploitation of women become acceptable network entertainment. Dick would not be able to treat a dog like that on TV, why on earth do some deem it OK to treat a human being like that?
IMHO... That is exactly what I think people should do if they do not like the show. Hit them where they hurt(stop watching-write people,whatever needed), because I would if it bothered me. But for people to be "so offended" but continue to watch, I just don't understand their reasoning. If something offends me, I avoid it. I just couldn't sit there fueling my fire, waiting for my blood pressure to boil over.
With that being said, the ratings are good (again) and the America version pales in comparison to the European show & that one is still going. So I will continue to stand behind me thoughts of, if you are so completely offended by the show, then turn it off & walk away. To keep tuning in just shows acceptance to behavior you don't like.
I've been in an a verbally abusive relationship and after 5 horrible years, I grew strong enough to leave it, so I know abuse. To watch Dick say the things he does to the HG's does not stike me as abusive. I see a player who pushes people buttons and rattles their cages. If someone was truly hurt, scared or offended they would not be able to sit with the man the next day and laugh about stuff. Gee, I even read today that Jameka was telling Daniele she can see how much Dick loves his daughter. It is a game and Dick's ammo happens to be words... Jameka & Amber use religion & God in such an exploited manner, but I am not offended by it, because I know it is a game, & that is their gaming tool.
Is it just me or did Amber, with her curled hair, and when she was crying, look like the lion from the Wizard of OZ?
I'm so glad to hear that Dick has finally decided to look out for himself. Maybe he's finally realizing that there has been no real progress in his attempts to reconcile with his daughter. I don't believe her "efforts" were at all genuine. She "played him along" to keep herself in the game. I believe now that was her intention since soon after she found out he was in the House too. She will either backdoor him soon or keep him there, believing he can't win against her in the final two. I voted for her to be nominated for just that reason. The girl is heartless. She wants to beat him more than anything. I think she wallows in self-pity. It gives her an excuse to whine and blame everyone else for her behavior.
As for Jen suing CBS, this AM on the Early Show, Julie asked Jen if she considered Dick's rants and name-calling abusive. Jen replied it was not appropriate, but also it was just "annoying". She said he just needs to grow up.
Also, after the cigarette squabble with Dick; when Jen and Jameka were in the bathroom and Jam told Jen to wash her hands, one moment later, Jen told her she didn't get burned, and that the black stuff (the ashes) all washed off.
i said this the first week and i'm saying it again. i think we've all been had. some of these guys are actors! off the top of my head jen, dick, amber, joe, eric. there is no way any of these guys would have passed the psych eval. -jeannemarie
Orkmommy.. I have to agree with you about the Jen/ED cigarette thing. He started it and I am VERY disappointed that ED didn't get penalized in some way for bodily harm on another. ED was wrong and so is BB.
