'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - The Overnight Into Tuesday 8/21
<-- Amber preparing for her big trip yesterday before the brouhaha went down. Is there a reason behind Jen's bizarre actions? Is she off her rocker or does she have a plan? Here's what's been happening since my post about said brouhaha: - Jen looked for the replacement cigarettes to destroy them if she could.
- Jen continued to eat despite the terms of her slop restriction.
- Jen (hi, it's Jen) says that if she has a penalty nomination, she cannot compete for HOH next week and cannot save herself with the veto -- so she'll keep on eating.
- She's studied the rules book and was told that by the DR.
- Evel Dick kept up his stream of vulgarities and encouraged her to eat.
- Jen pointed out that it didn't matter if she ate more anyway.
- Jen asked Eric if anyone has ever gotten a penalty nomination or if it had always been a threat. He said if it happened, this would be a first.
- Jameka is worried that Jen is doing all of this in an effort to stay in the house. (I think so, too.)
- She thinks it would be easy for the HG to vote her off this week, then Jen next when she can't protect herself due to the penalty nom.
- Zach told the others that he confirmed what Jen said about penalty noms in his own DR session.
- Jen isn't sure if continuing to eat is allowed with a penalty nom, but she's going to eat anyway.
- Jameka is getting more upset by the moment. She said the executive producers left just before Jen started eating and destroying Evel's cigarettes. She thinks that Jen broke the rules (well, yeah) and there should be a clause in there to protect her.
- Jameka regrets stopping Jen from hitting Evel Dick because that would have meant expulsion and would have saved her (Jameka) this week.
- Jen kept eating ... and eating ... and eating.
- Jen told Jameka that she spoke to the DR about it being unfair to her (Jameka) and expected more punishment. She said they thought it odd she was concerned about Jameka.
- Jen claims she only did it so she would be out of there.
- Zach and Dick talked about getting rid of Jameka this week, then Jen the next. (It works?) They seem pretty intent on the idea of a Jameka eviction Thursday as being the way to go.
- Jessica told Jameka she was told that BB would address Jen's actions in the morning.
- Zach and Dick think it's the "perfect crime" -- Jameka this week, Jen next week when she's defenseless, then Amber ... out, out, and out.
- All are asleep as I post this -- Amber and Daniele haven't returned yet from their trip.

Finally saw the first 30min. of SHO-2. WOW ! Now that I read that Jen will be a penalty nomination, what Zach & ED have planned is great. Send Jam. packing this week and then Jen next week. Perfect scenario.
Okay tell me if I'm wrong on this. ED and Z are talking about evicting Jameka this week because next week Jen can't play for HOH or Veto and she's going to be on the block no matter what. So they plan on getting Jen out next week because whoever gets HOH will have to put her on the block and everyone will of course vote her out. Then, they decided the best person to win HOH is Amber and they are going to throw it to her because she will only be able to pick one nomination as Jen will be the other automatically. Then the week after that Amber goes because she can't play for HOH. Is that how that's going to work?
I don't know if that will work. In a way I hope it does because then Jen will have time to calm down, regroup, and make an alliance with someone, probably E and Jess, to get out D and D. Wouldn't that be cool?
Anyway I'm still rooting for a Jen and Z final two. Z could beat Jen easily I think. Over on Joker's, sorry Jackie, Z said that he would take ED with him to the finals and then kick his ass. GO ZACK! I don't care if you are an ogre. I'm glad you're finally started playing.
I'm starting to like Jess more and more. I can't help it. She's sweet and seems to be the only person, other than Eic, in the house who is having any fun. The only problem is if she makes the final two it doesn't matter who goes up against her, they will most likely lose. Of course, that wouldn't bother me that bad.
I don't want Dani to win. She's just...UGH! Talk about on my nerves. She was such a brat when she didn't get a letter from her boyfriend and doesn't seem to know why. I don't know Dani. Maybe it's because you never take off that stupid bandana that belonged to Nick and he's decided to kick you scrawny butt to the curb.

Thanks Jackie, I like the plan except for one thing. We'll have to put up with Amber for what two more weeks? I don't know if I could take it.

Let us not forget Zach and Dick's plan to throw the HOH comp to Amber this week so she can't compete in it next week! It'll be interesting to see if they can get Daniele, Eric and Jessica on board with these plans.
If they throw the HOH to Amber, she will have only one nomination to pick and she has already told Jameka she is not going to honor her agreement with Daniele. In spite of swearing on her daughter again.
The pot is finally on the fire, and I'm loving it.

You think Jen is really smart enough to pick a fight with Dick and eat just so that they will give her a penalty nomination and then, evict Jam. She has read that rule book a couple of times. I don't know though. Maybe the whole eating thing was strategy on her part. If it is, she deserves to win the whole thing and not just 250 grand. Wow that would make her as good a player as Will.

If I believed she did it because she was smart instead of emotional, I'd be giving Jen kudos. Either way, it works for me...maybe someone else (Zach?) will wise up and see this is a perfect way to form an alliance that can plan to get rid of D&D. That's what I want to see...a game, not actually D&D going.
Where did Daniele and Amber go on there trip??? I wanna go too..i wanna go..oh wait Amber went..never mind, I'll just sit on the out door couch and watch Dick and Jennoying go at it..that'd be more fun then hanging around w/weepy..

Definitely, for weeks now after Jen's been nominated; she and ED have been going at each other's throats, ironically ends up somehow changing Ed's mind from evicting Jen. My initial thought after Dani used POV;( though it appeared " smart " ) was Dani made a dumb move, I didn't believe the timing was ( to many players paired up ) therefore it would come back to bite her in the butt. I had a strange feeling some how Amber might win HOH, then ultimately breaking her deal with Dani, Esp if Jameka is evicted, Amber will blame Dani, IMO WahAmber will feel this sensational gratification to prove to viewers and Dustin/Jameka that she's a strong player, ( Amber's not fully loaded upstairs ) Therefore with a Dani eviction she may even compare herself to Janelle's move last year after she turned against Will. Why does it take so many times for a post to go through, I know I'm typing correct letters, this will be my 5 try.
If you thought Danielle was stupid for putting Jen up, you have to think this is stupid by Jen. She has put herself at the mercy of everyone else. I doubt D & Z's plan will work because it is too far out and depends on too many things going in their favor which has not happened yet....
The more I see/read the more I think the cbs is feeding them with ideas to sway the game toward better ratings. Disappointing! I don't think Jen is smart enough to concock a penalty nomination plan. And why waid until 50 days in to destroy cigs if she hates them so much. Just get rid of her already! Jameka is still harmless for 3 weeks. Ugh!! It's so fffruuuussstrrraaaatingggg!!
I truly believe Jen does not care about winning the money, but the thought of being seen. She is resorting to these tactics because she just wants to be in the house longer. As she said this is too early to go to sequester.

This season especially seems so scripted by the producers. I always felt many reality shows are scripted by the producers for ratings. But Geeze this is seems like the icing on the cake. Is Jen really that stupid? Is Amber really that blind?
Can't wait for A & D (isn't there an ointment for that?) return and see the havoc Dick made of a night without Dani's supervision. Jen could have pushed and pushed but his reaction is what threw it into the fight. The hgs kept talking about Jameka being the one to stay because she couldn't be HOH. So Jen remedied that. She is fighting for her place and it is fun to watch. I loved how confident E and Z are of their plan, forgetting completely that there are others in the house that can make decisions. I hope a future comp question will be 'who is the most confident of their game play?" I don't know the answer, but would like to hear what the hgs answer. Thank you Jackie, you win a trip out of the house for your labor last night. (trip to be taken after BB House closes for the season) I'd put a Travel Gnome here if I had one. : ) Sue

Why NOT? It's a slam dunk to get out 3 people in a row that they want gone. Between Jameka and Jen, Jen is powerless in the next week (Jam could still win a veto next week). And by letting Amber win HOH, it's brilliant. One of her noms is decided for her then she is basically powerless the next week (though she'd have a chance at the veto). I love the plan and I hope they pull it off.
i think next year,just prior to the show, there should be a half hour show on each night for a week..where they show the videos and any info about perspective houseguests....and then let america decide who goes into the house to play BB9.
maybe this week will be a double eviction and Jen will go out on Saturday

Kay--I agree with everything you said! Dani has really showed her immaturity this week. Seems it gets worse every week. I hope it all goes down like your post said. I feel bad for Jen, especially since everyone is ignoring her.
Even if Jen is delivered a penalty, I have a feeling that things are only going to get more interesting. It would not be a surprise to me if BB helps out a bit and makes a showdown between Jen and Daniele. Heck, it will help boost the ratings and that is all that matters to CBS.
Of course the feud between Jen & Dick are helping peek interest and rating as we speak. This blog is a fine example of the interest level people have.
It is going to come down to who is the best talker. By that I mean, who can be the strongest one to tell the juiciest stories and conviencing others. It's just like being in the courtroom.

That plan will backfire-- I wouldn't give Amber any power what so ever. Amber said she wouldn't put Daniele up, what about Dick? Dick and Jen will continue to fight and it might get bad enough that they get rid of Dick first. And if Amber coasts into the final 4-6 I'll scream.
Do I want Jen to stay-- of course because it's fun to watch, and the last few days have been snoozers, and I don't watch the feeds 16 hours a day-- whew Jackie!
I think Jen saw what Dick pulled last week and it worked for him so why not her? There was no chance in he ever hitting her, he may scream and call her every bad word, but I do think he knows where his limit is-- I hope anyway.
I think the waffle will continue right onto Thursday. Daniele wants Jen gone, Amber will vote to keep Jameka, and I'm not sure after last night's events they can convince Daniele of the plan.
I'm with Eric, this was even better than the tea-party.

I think I see a critical flaw with Dick and Zach's plan to keep Jen and throw HOH to Amber.
If Amber, Jess and Eric team up. The nomination to join Jen on the block will be Dick, Daniele or Zach.
If the POV comes into play and Zach,Dick or Daniele uses it to save whoever is on the block with Jen then Amber nominates the 3rd one of that group to go on the block.
Amber can't vote nor can the 2 on the block. That leaves 2 of Dick, Daniele, or Zack group to vote for Jen. Jess and Eric to vote for whoever from the Team Donato is on the block. Comes to a 2-2 vote with Amber deciding who goes home. hmmmm

I know I sound like a broken record when I say as long as Dani doesn't win I can be happy with it.
To all Dani fans, yes I know compared to to other HGs she hasn't done any really bad things. Yes I know she has done well at the competitions.

Why does everybody,including ED & Z,think that it's a slam dunk to get Jen out next week??? All it takes is Amber(if they do indeed "give" her the HOH) putting Dani or ED up and then AP and Jess voting that person out with the help of a third person to
break up the D&D's. I think Amber may just be pee-oed enough at Jam's ouster that she'd put Dani up! Then if WE(AP) vote for that person to go,Eric will have to talk his tongue off to get Jess and another in line to vote off the one against Jen. I don't see it as a slam dunk! Ok,what about this scenario. They vote Jameka out this week. Jen has the penalty nom and cannot play for HOH or POV. Jen forms an allince with someone, take your pick. Now here is the kicker, can someone else take her off the block? That would surely throw the house into an uproar. And if Jen is thinking everything through she may have already come up with this plan.
lynn - Don't forget it is us who would tell Eric how to vote. Based on previous votes and opularity polls I'd think given the choice of Jen and one of the Donatos, America would vote Jen out.

According to what I have been reading here and at Jokers I don't think people would automatically tell Eric to vote to evict Jen.
There seems to be a lot of backlash against Jameka for her use of religion to play the game. I don't think it is so much that she is a Christian as the way she uses her religous beliefs as it suits her.
In my scenario the planets and stars would have to align perfectly for it to happen. I don't think it will happen that way necassarily but it could.
Regardless of what happens we should get good TV for the rest of this week.
What's to stop Jen from repeating this strategy (eating and getting penalized) for the remainder of the time she's on slop? LMAO. I love her.
I'm rooting for Jessica to win this game. I can't stand the rest of the contestants. Dick is offensive, Eric is a weasel, Amber is a tear-soaked nutcase, Dani is a self-absorbed spoiled brat, Jameka is clueless and all of them do more waffling than the local IHOP. These people are the most obnoxious HG to ever reside in the BB house and if they had more than one brain cell between them, they would have voted out Dick last week. Leaving the strongest alliance in tact this long will be the downfall of all of them. Unfortunately, "don't forget about me" Dani will skip home with the grand prize.

In past seasons, the nominee's had chairs to sit in. This year, it's a couch. I think the producers planned this little outburst of Jen's from the beginning so they could have three nominations in one week which is why they put the couch in the house to begin with!
I know, it's totally silly. I've just seen so many silly theories here and on other sites that I had to throw one out there too!

In all these scenerios we need to remember that Amber DOES NOT LIKE OR TRUST Eric--if Jam gets a chance to talk to her she will probably suggest he be the one Amber would nominate.
I would guess BB has some clause about a HG continueing to break the rules/eat--possibly an eviction with a second offense.
I think Jen knew EXACTLY what she was doing--after all she has been living with the master(Dick) for 52 days!

Amber, the girl with the short attention span, loves the person who helped her last and hates the person who wronged her. Before the trip, Jameka spent an hour or more curling Ambers hair , Jen watched and then offered Amber her jacket to wear on the outing. Jameka see Jen's jacket and raises her own jacket for Amber to wear. Amber tries them both. Which Jacket did Amber wear? Does anyone know? Or did she remain neutral and not wear a jacket? Sue
I am always 'anonymous said', but I sign Sue to my comments. Often lengthy, off the wall comments. Yesterday someone asked why the request by Jackie to sign. I won't speak for Jackie, but I can say why I like it. It gives an id to the post. Sure, I can respond to the time mark, but there is no constant to that. We posters are developing personalities on this board. I'll always have an odd ball response (dry wit doesn't transfer through a keyboard easily) , someone else will use common sense, some are always for one hg and others always against. It is what it is. Anonymous is kind of scary, like a wrong phone number who doesn't speak. I don't think a name is needed, just an initial or a number or, like Prince, a symbol. Just some way to sign what you write, as we build the community here. While anyone can sign any name or not sign or use multiple identities, I think Jackie can tell who wrote what by their ip address. Who is to say who any of us are really, but using some kind of identifier on a post makes the comments go down smoother. And Jackie really does have the best forum around. As much as hate idea because i am pulling for Jameka, it would be a good idea to get rid her now and Jen next week if they can pull it off. I just wonder what Zach is thinking; does her really think that he has a better chance with D&D? as opposed to E&J. If he wins HOH who would he put up?
ARRRGH! Last night when my Tivo was recording Sho Too, turned it on just in time to see Jen come out with her turkey burger - Jam, Eric and Jess try to talk her out of eating it -- She said forget it and talked to them while teary --Dick came out, sat next to Jen, started to smoke in her face, and they got into an altercation. Soon as it looked like Jen was going to hit him, a quick cut to the control room with a chiron saying "BACK IN A MOMENT" (so we watched the rest of the altercation on the TV monitors in the control room --- duh. As small as the screens were we could still at least see that people tried to break them up and someone or all of them but Dick went charging into the kitchen area.. while Dick stayed behind ranting and smoking).
I got up this AM ready to watch some juicy TV (backed up by Jackie's saying so too) and IT WASN'T THERE! I guess I ave too much saved and there wasn't enough room so it erased what it HAD recorded. ARRRRGGGH.

I thought Tivo erased the oldest stuff first, I wouldn't think it would have deleted the last thing recorded, unless you have mostly stuff saved to manually erase only.
Sue- well put -- I think people who are not posting anonymously to enable them to leave snarky comments and run should sign any kind of name or tag at the end for exactly the reason you said--- we get to know each other. And as it's A FRIENDLY place here, it's enjoyable to start to get to follow along with a commenters line of thinking.
While I'm all for someone's right to be anonymous, with so many coming here to contribute regularly, I kinda feel like I've joined a book group and every time we meet, half of us are there as we are and half are wearing identical wigs and those glasses with noses and mustaches. LOL Or like on 20/20 when they put someone in total blackness and digitize their voices.
Anon 12:56-- Tico does erase oldest first, which is how it began recording last night. But I must have too many saved til I delete for it to have gotten all 3 hours and so it deleted it all! I wish it would at least have saved the part it did record. Dang, now I have to search youtube or Hamsters. Too busy today. But thanks to Jackie and everyone's comments, I'm getting the gist.

Amber and whoever's left between Jen and Jameka--then he hasn't pissed off either side and remains the swing vote.
Oh my, I can sympathize about the lost recorded program. It has happened to me,too, or variations of the same thing. Today, delete something to make room, because when Daniele gets back there should be another round as she listens to her dad's new plan. She doesn't like when he makes decisions on his own. If Jen is doing what she is doing to get the penalty nom and thinking that would save her for a while til she can think of something else; is that fair to Jameka and dare is say it....Amber? They have followed the rules yet one (maybe both) of them will be affected negatively by someone who broke the rules blatantly. On one hand i think that is great gameplay and strategy (she read the rules and worked them to her advantage) on the other hand i feel for Jameka and even Amber because they have followed the rules.

Really, Zach would be better off with D&D. If he could make it to the final 3 and win the comp to put him in final 2 he's more likely to get the votes over D&D than he would over E&J.
Kay... One of the flaws with that plan, is Jen can calm down and try to align with whomever she wants, but will America align with her and make Eric's vote the way she wants???
I watched Jen's outburst and IMO, I didn't think it was strategy but a girl who knows that she is going home and throwing a HUGE fit over it. Her mentality was much like Dick's last week "If I'm going out, I'm going out with a bang!"
Can't wait to hear how Dani reacted when she came back to the BB house to hear that her dad was once again involoved in "drama", but that this time he didn't start it. lol!!!
I'd prefer that regulars sign their comments too! I like getting to know everyone and there's even certain people I look for to see what their take is on a subject.

I didn't write " stupid " I wrote dumb, for me there is difference amongst both words; Of course OIMO I believe it may have been a silly tactic on Jen's part, however as OP previously wrote; last week ED displayed similar outbursts. ED/Jen have both been going back and forth for weeks now, Sue brought up an excellent point on how E & Z are confident; forgetting there are other HG's ) this " confident " IMO had been occurring throughout, that's why ED was adamantly raging regarding who kept voting opposite; finally Dustin changed expected outcome. For me anyway ) it appears ED's confident is back to what we'd originally had been viewing, thats why I feel if Amber does get HOH, she'll stir pot for that reason alone, plus to boost her own self ego.
What if this turns out to be "the big twist" and Jen is all part of a grand plan by CBS? Or, is it possible this week could result in a double eviction with Jen and Jam both going home?!?! Just a quirky thought that jumped into my head.

Sue - In the first week or so Jen was complaining about having a smoker in the house. She told Jess and others that she asked BB during the pre-show sequester if she could destroy cigarettes of any smokers in the house. I assume that's what she's talking about.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, at first I thought, oh some new drama, something exciting, but now I am starting to think somehow BB has their hands in the latest events way too much.
I don't think they want Jen gone. I don't think they want Dick or Eric gone either.
I think they may have been counting on a Amber eviction (weren't we all?), but will settle for Jameka out the door also.
Amber may at the least give them some twisted comedy. *sigh*
I also think it is curious how none of the drama happened until after Amber and Dani left for their trip. How that matters, not sure yet, but it is curious.

Any ideas what's going on in the house?? They called Jen to DR and now the house has been on trivia for 30 mins. I don't think they will make any announcement about Jen's penalty until Dani/Amb get back, but obiviously Jen doesn't since she got up and started eating AGAIN!
I think Eric is making a valid point about her choosing to be on slop in a Veto comp. was something that allowed her to further herself in the game. Can't wait to see how CBS "covers" this one up!!
orkmommy-thanks for you and Sue's comments about anon. posters. We are like a community and get to know commenters personal likes/dislikes. There are certain people I watch for their post because I have learned how they feel about different issues.
Oh well, each to their own!

I find it strange also that eric has never been picked for a veto comp. Could that just be a coincidence? I know that there are a lot of people that think that producers fix these realit shows and now with some of the things thats been going on this year........

On Jokers it is saying they had a House meeting. Not too sure what it means or what was said. Jen did tell Zack,Jess & Eric that they will not have her vote. She told them that she will be voting for D&D since they are the "players" in the game and have played everyone all summer. Jen is still eating, which I think is odd. She should have been made to stop after the first infraction and punishment. Or risk more punishment with each bite.

By the sounds of it, it looks like Jen is leaving, but I could be wrong. Dick asked, "why isn't she gone yet?" and something in regards to Jameak should be happy that Jen is leaving.
I am surprised to not find one person comment on how the bullying of Jen by Dick, the tiraid of his hurtful below the belt endless comments to her in front of everyone didn't make anyone cringe at least a little? Jen, Eric, Zach and Jameka just sat there and didn't say a word............it was heartless if you ask me...........ok they hate Jen, but come on! And yes, she could walk away, but again, COME ON! Dick is like a spoiled lil kid without anyone stepping in and saying "OK ENOUGH!". Game or no game, it made me sick, and I wanted someone to say something to Dick, but not a word. The dive into the fridge and grabbing and stuffing in food was not a PLAN if you ask me, it was the end of the road! Didn't everyone agree they were all voting her out Thursday, and by the performance of letting Dick rip her apart and not a word, well that made them all as good as being him. If it works out that she did some damage to all those silent "game playing bullys" so be it! It would please me to no end to see Jen end up at least in the final 2 after what I saw last night!

I figure Jen started eating food cuz she figured she got backdoored (remember when that happened to Jas and how he reacted?), she's definitely leaving, she's sick of the abuse and crap, and what does she have to lose?
BB replaced Dick's cigarettes, did it replace Jen's clothes? How is locking Jen's clothes in a place Jen can't go, fit the definition of "hiding"?
She's been on slop ever since she won the POV (which she won for giving up half the money, not for for the slop thing)so Dick's claim that she screwed over Kail is ridiculous. She has followed all the rules right up until 72 hours before she knew she would be leaving.
Meanwhile Dick's accuses her of being a baby while running thru the house with her clothes, taunting her, throwing them in the HOH room, and then doing happy dances in the BY. Yeah, he's the mature one.
Plus I bet his mom is so proud that Dick's attack vocabulary centers around phrases like: "stupid bitch", "f**king t**t, and "lying c**t". I feel like BB is really stretching the rule book pretty thin this year allowing this level of abuse and harassment of another player (didn't BB warn Dick to stop finally, right before he declared a truce with Jen? Where are the warnings now?) Meanwhile everybody is getting ready to call a lawyer or something because OMG Jen ate some cottage cheese!!!!!!!

Orkmommy-- It could be, of course, btu don't you think it's just BIZARRE that Eric has never had a chance to play POV this entire time? I've watched every season and have not seen that happen that I can remember... can you? Just as a numbers thing it seems odd.
As to the other side --If the producers were behind it, thinking he shouldn't play cuz he's AP, why? He could throw it, for one, and if he could not throw it believably, then he could not use it. If he is under Americas orders to get someone out, it would be a trick to explain to the house or his alliance why he chose not to use it, but no harder than us making him vote in the past weeks for peeps he wanted to keep in. Also, it would give the producers another reason to ask America to text in .. "How should Eric use the Veto"
I'm thinking Jen should have two penalties of some sort, not just one. She broke two rules last night, destroying ED's smokes AND eating. Sure some will say Eric destroyed Jens Tshirt, but that was a directive of the producers to vandalize someones property, and WE chose Jen.
I don't think she should be allowed to skate away with only one penalty. JMHO
I'm curious cause it happens a lot on Aol boards, not trying be rude here but why do posters feel the need to call themselves regulars? I'm confused, if commenter's are anonymous or don't post under a name their not part of community blog? one of the reasons I stopped posting on Aol boards is because regular posters kept referring others as newbies, a poster started a thread titled when is a newbie considered a regular? She added herself along with a few others had been posting over a year, yet old regulars continued to refer them as newbies, I figured it was regular posters way of running posters off by not making them feel welcome, if that's the case it reminded me of a workplace, where co-workers think the longer they've been employed the more seniority they have, all I'm saying if its to run people away, it worked. Jackie knows who is who.

It looks like to be fair, they are automatically giving an extra "BB vote to out Jen on thurs show. They are talking about how the other way (Jen being auto-nominated next week) wouldn't be fair to jameka this week or Amber next week, since they were planning on throwing the HOH to Amber, so that Jen would automatically be on the block and they would then vote her out. Then Amber's HOH would be wasted for her and she wouldnt be able to compete in the next HOH
It seems Jen's penalty is NOT to boot her out of the house but for her to have 1 automatic vote against her come Thursday. So the votes would be 6-0 instead of 5-0 for Jen to be gone. That's the feeling I'm getting anyway...anyone else care to comment?
When are Daniele and Amber due back? I want to know where they got to go!!

Anon(s) - Deanna and I disagree all the time but we still "talk" to each other. I look forward to seeing what she has to say, especially when it comes to Dick and his behavior.
We have had a lot of anons who like to name call and hide so we prefer that people identify themselves somehow. If you read back to other posts, you'll see that we welcome newcomers because we like to hear what EVERYONE has to say.
If you still feel like we're a bunch of bullies then feel free to go to another site. I completely disagree with you though, I've been to other sites and the "regular" group here is very nice. And by "regular" I mean old timers and newbies!!

I concur with Lars. As long as the blog owner knows where the posts are coming from for moderation purposes, it shouldn't matter whether or not you sign your comments. We all come here because we are BB and Jackie fans, so we ARE the community whether we post comments or not.
Also, I totally agree with "MM in Florida." I cannot believe all those HG sat around and watched Dick verbally abuse Jen and not one of them said a single word to intervene. They are giving their tacit approval of his abuse and BB should put a stop to his harassment of this young woman. He is horrible and that exchange by the hot tub was painful to watch.

I think Jen knew what she was stepping into when she destroyed Dick's cigs, and therefore any sympathy for her went right out the window. If she doesn't want to box, she shouldn't have stepped willingly into the ring. IMO... ;)

Signing a name is simply easier for us to respond to something said without having to go up and look for a date and time stamp. What's the big deal. If you want to say someting nasty, if its your opinion, then say it... but sign your name. Make it easy on everyone.
I usually have to do the word verification at least twice when signing in under "Other", but so what. Don't know why it doesn't work the first time, but who cares.
Sydney when I got up the next morning and tried to check in on BBAD, Sho2 had that big box stating that it didn't record. Now I didn't have that much in my saved files so don't know why it happened. Strange???
Jen keeps breaking the rules because she continues to eat. I don't think 1 vote against her is enough of a penalty. I,too,agree if they sit by and say nothing to stop the way he talks to her,then they are as bad as he is. The words may not come out of their mouths,but if they can't step up and say...cool it,ED..then they give their approval. I am so disappointed w/CBS and BB this season that they would allow that kind of language on "network" tv. I know it's getting to be anthing goes on almost all TV nowdays but,there are people who liked to watch this program w/their kids and this is vile and disgusting. This is why our kids get so desensitized to all the violence and sex all around them. I'd like a few more boundries for the things that come into my home. I know,I know...I already hear the fans of the smut lining up to say...then turn it off. If I want the rampant smutty stuff,I can suscribe to cable or I can watch it after family time is over.

anon--I would like to clear something up--I started posting here about midway through last season.I would post without leaving my name because I was afraid someone would disagree with me and attack my opinion. NEVER DID THAT HAPPEN--sometimes what I said would be addressed by another commenter--but not in a mean-spirited way. This season I have posted using my name. I consider myself a "regular" not because of the length of time I have been posting but because I post on a REGULAR BASIS!!

I think for the most part everyone is considerate of each other.
If I didn't want to allow anonymous comments, I could block them. Alas, it's often the folks who are totally anonymous, not even signing off with a name which could be fake, who take quick jabs and run. It's a low percentage, but it's there.
When folks who use anonymous sign off with a name (which many do), whether they're "old" or "new" commenters, it makes it all a bit more human, in my opinion anyway.
I stress that everyone is entitled to their opinion of the houseguests. From my writings, you probably know mine. But I'd never block a post supporting a houseguest I don't like or tearing apart one I do ... as long as they don't preface it with "you're an idiot if you ..."
With this group of houseguests, I'm sure we could come up with lengthy lists not to like the ones we like!

Dick is a vulgar person who has no respect for others. His personal "habits" are enough to make me sick...
the smoking without being respectful to anyone around him, farting, and the CONSTANT spitting where other people walk and suntan!! And the words that come out of his mouth?!? BB should never have allowed that to continue for this long.
All that being said, Jen provoked this fight as much as him. Knowing that once he starts on these rants he's not going to stop she could have avoided him for the evening. He made SURE he was next to her when he blew that smoke because he knows she hates cig. smoke.

I remember something about an eating violation in BB before, but can't recall the details. I know that in BB All Stars hgs suggested George go ahead and eat and 'just take the violation'. Was there any other time it came up? Sue
I also posted my comments for about a year or so as anon for the simple reason that I didn't know how to use "other" until meb mentioned one day how to do it.
Lord knows I don't always agree with everyones posts and they don't always agree with mine. And there are times when my Irish gets up and I can get carried away but I honestly don't think I've ever bullied anyone. I have had to clarify something I said earlier because I truly don't want to offend anyone and I don't always put into the right words, exactly what I mean.
Having said that, I have, at times, found some of the anons comments to be very offensive towards the people who comment here on a regular basis. At first, I took the bait, and threw my two cents in. The ones that peeved me the most are the ones who would throw their insults out and then thank Jackie for her wonderful blog and repeat her request to be nice to each other. This after they just insulted the hell out of someone.
Any way, I've decided to ignore them. They do hide behind the anon tag to get their mean, angry opinions on the page and then probably sit back and enjoy the reactions it causes. I'm going to do my best to ignore those chicken kind of anons. The "hit and runs" as they've been called.
I honestly believe this is the best blog I've ever read. I enjoy all the opinions whether they agree with me or not and the " regulars" and the other newbies have graciously accepted me from day one even before they knew I was Joy n

I've checked in here daily for close to 2 years, the only blog I've ever particiapted on. I don't think I've ever seen newbie even used... (But who cares about semantics, I know you're not talking so much about that). When anyone writes saying they're new, several of the "regulars" take the time to write a welcome to that person at the start of their comment.
Some participate only for BB's coverage over the summer and come back again the next. I think of them as regulars for BB. Some write a comment saying they've been reading Jackie for years but never comment... to me, they're regulars, just not regular commenters...
Usually I think the folks who check in here daily, year round, for all the shows Jackie blogs about would call themselves regulars. I am that, and join many who, in the process finds occasional personal snippets sneaking in -- when someone went on a trip so could not check the blog, when Jackie mentions how hot it is and everyone reports the temps where they are (once it was gas prices), when the holidays come and people wish eachother well or say how they celebrate, etc... Or if we discuss something going on in the news, put out heartfelt concerns etc... So I see it as a friendly place, and an inclusive one. It is by no means full of bullies.
Anyway Lars, I'm glad you're here and glad I am too. LOL
Since Jen is STILL eating I think she should be on slop in the sequester house too!

I can understand why someone would feel they wanted to remain anonymous and I support that right. What's interesting is that most anons can be indentified by how they write, what they say and the way they say it, and bully anons are the easiest to identify!

Xtina, I agree with you. One of the things I find highly offensive is how the other houseguests in that house have allowed Dick to verbally abuse Jen (and others) whenever the spirit moves him. Why doesn't anyone tell him to STFU? I don't get it. I think his cigarettes getting destroyed is fair punishment for his nonstop vile and abusive behavior. I also have NO respect for any of the houseguests because none of them STOP him when he is behaving like a mad man. It's unconscionable to me. They're all a bunch of morons.

I think Jen is way too smart to do something & not have a plan for it - whatever she is doing by eating, she has some kind of plan up her sleeve - also, i still think she & Dick are in a secret (very secret) alliance - yea, it's off the wall, but that's my opinion

But, something happened along about the third cup of cottage cheese (I made that up I haven't seen the feed..Jen is bringing a whole new meaning to that term, isn't she?) things turned a corner and she lost the game. I've heard one person tell ED to STFU and that was Dani. Of course, she laughed about what he did in private but she did tell him to stop it. And surprisingly enough he did for a little while at least. She's not the only one who ever stood up to him either Eric did but not very effectively. So did Jam and Amber but again not very effectively. He got into it once with Nick about Dani and Nick stood up to him. Jen is perfectly capable of standing up to him if she wants to. She just doesn't though. I don't know why.
As to the newbie comments. I'm a newbie I guess. Everyone has always made me feel welcome. I started posting last year and no one ever gave me crap for what I wrote and I even stood up for Erica when everyone called her a skank for giving Boogie a BJ. Everyone here is nice. Sometimes I don't sign my name. I forget because I want to get my message in or I'm anxious to get back to finding out what's going on. I didn't sign my name for a long time but then eventually I felt comfortable doing so. If you don't want to sign your name then don't but be sure to put down your opinions because those are what make this blog fun. At least for me anyway.
