Well, I didn't say it would be exciting, did I? Above is the current scene from the quad can view of the house as all of the houseguests sleep. Nothing of note really happened after their bout with the arts and crafts last night. BB had issued a curfew -- bedtime, no talking or fooling around, sleep -- last night in anticipation of the Power of Veto comp today. Tentatively, it's scheduled for 9 AM their time, but BB notoriously is late with these things.
Whatever and whenever it happens, I most likely won't be able to post about it until evening (ET). So, if you see or read news, feel free to comment about it. (If you see folks posting WRONG news, please correct 'em!)
In other blog-related stuff -- graphic artist Zoetawny's computer decided it was a good time to go seriously ill, perhaps die. I received word that there are problems with her computer, she's fine. But she might be absent for a bit.

I've read Jackie's blog faithfully and commented myself once or twice. It's part of my day now and I will miss it after the season is over.
But, I must say it's been a dreary season, not up to par at all. Nobody seems to learn from past seasons. They constantly leave the strongest to win. Get them out early and the game will be a bit boring, but certainly more palatable for the viewers. Dick was disgusting all along. He was a health menace and nobody seemed to care. Spitting , smoking, and generally being disgusting. Dani may have been a spoiled brat, but she could have been ignored. Eric had no choice in anything he did. Jessica , Jameka and Amber were non entities. Who do they send home? Jen. The only woman in the house with any spunk. Zack? He must have had a plan to have come so far, but we certainly didnt know about it.

Carol, you might want to stay with the blog when BB is over. We still get to enjoy Jackie's comments regarding a lot of shows and most of which we all watch. And if she doesn't watch them she gives us a venue to comment among ourselves. Check the side bars on her home page.
I hated how BB ended last year too, but eagerly awaited this year anyway and I'm sure I'll be doing the same for BB9. (Hoping there is a BB9).
Everybody I hope you post what's going on when those hamsters awaken, as I'll be gone most of the day and will be anxious to know what's happening when I sign back on.

Ok...I'm finally caught up from yesterday! I've seen several people comment on the fact that Zach has said he's happy with second place. I think he really wants the win and is telling everyone he'd be happy with 2nd so they'll take him with them. I think if he makes it to the final, he has a great chance of winning. Afterall, Jameka hasn't been able to make any power moves in 5 weeks and Zach has gotten very strong in the last 2. Additionally, when it really mattered, Zach has made the move to take the Donatos out. I think Zach will be happy to lose to Jameka, but he's going for that win!!
I am so over the show this year. Everything they tried has backfired on them and caused a boring lame year of BB. Every decision they made seemed to be the wrong one.
I went from TiVoing the Showtime show every night and rushing home from work to watch it, to just watching the regular tv shows, and now I don't even watch the tv show anymore, I just come here for quick updates to see what's happened out of mild curiosity. They really blew it this year. Lame house-guests (think about it, basically a house full of floaters except Dick and Eric {Daniele would have been a floater if her dad wasn't on the show}).
The producers seemed so worried about real drama that they manufactured fake drama and it was super transparent. They are so afraid of controversy that they've gone out of their way to block or cover-up anything that could cause controversy.
Lame, lame, lame. I boycotted BB they year after Jun won, and I think I'll boycott BB next year too.

Most agree the show was pretty lame this year but as Meb said the faithful will eagerly tune in again next year. Summer tv is pretty dull overall with reruns of reruns. Somehow, even with Julie Chen and boring houseguests you still get caught up in the show and eventually you find someone to pull for...at this point for me Zach is emerging...better late than never. I hope he takes POV as I would prefer him in final two rather than a Dick and Dani finish. Stay tuned for Survivor!
Although I love reading Jackie's blog, I admit, I do peek at Joker's occasionally. (Please forgive me!) Dick is in rare form this morning. I like him so much better when he is being nice and caring and sincere towards the houseguests. I hate when he acts like a big bully, and he is gearing up to be the baddest bully he can be. I just hope Zach and Jameka stay strong, win the POV and get one of the Donatos out. Please Dick be the good guy we know and love!

Since I can't seem to find any other feeds I have to rely on Jackie's blog and you guys to keep me up to speed. I've watched BB for the whole eight years its been on and it makes my summers bearable. Its so hot in Arkansas that I stay in most of the time in August. Even the early mornings arent cool.

I like Dick, but I just hate it when he goes off on people to try to rattle them.
If anything, this may have the opposite effect on Zach and Jameka, and that worries me.
Those rants of Dick may work in his personal life...then again maybe not since he's had three wives..but as for tv entertainment it's not fun to watch.

I hope Zach and Jam are smart enough to remember the last Dick rant attack to keep his spoiled daughter in the house and vote her skinny a** out if they can manage to beat her at POV. The only way to see them smile again is for them to win...then they will be estatic. Barf.
Dani is very good at POV and Dick has improved his game, so sadly we have to brace ourselves for a Donato sweep.
I hope it's an endurance...then maybe Jam and Zach will stand a chance.

You beat me to it. I don't think Dick is trying to get Zack or Jam to mess up the POV comp. I think he wants to be sure that if he or Dani don't win that they send him home.
Frankly, I'd hate to see that happen (a house with Zack and Jam in it, and a sulking Dani would be the WORST HOUSE EVER! Boring beyond belief), but it would be interesting to see what Jam would do with her vote if she or Zack win POV.
I also think Zack made a HUGE mistake by nominating D/D. He could have kept his hands clean by nominating Jam and one of the Ds (he had to nominate one). The noms didn't matter and it all came down to POV anyway. By going the way he did, he angered the Ds, so they could very well vote for Jam vs. Zack should they both make final 2. If he had laid low (NOW would have been a good time to float, since HOH has zero power this week), he might well have gotten Dani out but made it look like it was just bad luck that Jam won POV. This would most likely guarantee the Donato votes (1 or both) to Zack if he make Final 2.
Now, he gives Jam a fair shot at those votes if it is a J/Z finale (God forbid!)
P.S. I'm not so sure this season was so bad. Jen, Amber and Dick were train-wreck amusing for the first month or so. The Dustin eviction was one of the best evictions ever. I think the Jess/Eric double eviction last week was classic BB. I think people just like to complain - EVERY YEAR! Could I have done without a lot of the HGs? Absolutely, but that's always true.
Is it too much to ask for better casting...I understand that the reality shows are "casting" now rather than just interviewing and selecting people to write in...which generally number about 20,000 for most shows. Even with all those people why the need to "cast" Hollywood wannabees? My personal trainor applied for Survivor and got through 4 interviews then never heard from them again...makes me wonder why...ex-Marine...tall, strong, handsome, articulate, nice teeth...nice guy. Maybe too nice is the problem.
What made the season bad was there weren't many "fun" people to pull for...Amber crying all the time and/or praying...Dick farting and spitting, Dani whinning, Jen like a robot...Eric annoying us with his "cringe" factor, Jess I liked but Oh that voice...hope the producers get enough feedback that we get a few more Janelle types, Howie, Kaysar, an all time favorite, even Marcellus was a hoot. And of course the handsome smart Dr. Will.
Joe in NY, I agree that this has not been the worst season ever. While there have been times that it was boring and predictable (not to mention frustrating when things didn't go the way I wanted ;) there have also been plenty of days that I have been glued to Jackie's blog and the comments to see what was going on. LIke you said, pretty much the same as every other season.

Anon 2:29 - Update on POV. Indoor lockdown. Comp hasn't started yet, although DR told Zach it should be soon. Zach and Jameka are holding hands and praying for victory and vengeance. Dick and Dani are very nervous and keyed-up, pacing and smack-talking about the other 2 (who are upstairs in HOH.) Dick hasn't gone off on Zach yet, I think he said he's saving it for outside so it gets on camera. Dani worried about her wrist (which she said was hurt in the ball comp by Eric).
Oh geez, now BB came on speaker and said comp will be in 90 minutes. (Originally it was supposed to start at 9am their time, which was 3 hours ago.) D/D are going to take a nap (although I doubt they'll sleep. They're wound pretty tight.)
Dick is planning to say "that was sure white of you" to someone.....audio was lousy on SHO2 part of the time last night. I'm sure he's up to no good, as usual.

Joe in NY... I agree, if Zack was smart (& I DO have my doubts),he wouldn't have nominated both D&D since his HOH holds no power this week. So his loyalty & sticking to his original group (as he told Eric when he didn't use the VETO) was a lie. Just goes to show, You cannot play this game without deceit. If Zack wanted to make a power play, he should have used the VETO to oust Dani, but instead chooses to nominate them..?? Plus, taking Jameka all the way would guarantee 2nd place for him... Dumb!

Frankly, 1/2 (or more) of this board seemed confused about the irrelevance of the noms this week, so I shouldn't be surprised that Zack flubbed it. But I do expect better of the people playing the game. Zack really should have sat down with Dick and Dani and discussed how to handle the noms. Then he should have done it there way (probably Jam and Dick, since Dani would no doubt whine about being nominated), THEN gone to Jam and discussed what she was going to do if she won veto and MAYBE float a Dani backdoor plan with her. But there was really no need to even broach the subject until the POV comp had been run.
For all the people cheering Zack's move this week, I say "congrats on HOH, you blew it" :)

If Zach loses it it will not be because of his HOH nominations this week... it will be because he did not get rid of Dani over Eric when he had the chance on Thursday. That was the move that could potentially lose him the game. He would have had a lot less pressure going into the POV game whenever BB decides to do it had he taken out one of the Donato's earlier.
My personal trainer is divorced...married a woman with two sons and adopted them, divorced her, but unlike Dirty Dick maintains a very close relationship with "their sons" and has then with him for the entire summer, end of school to start of school...for hiking, boating, kyacking, fishing, sports. Yes, there really are nice men out there.
i think he didn't use the veto in part because Eric didn't use the veto when Z was on the block with Wamber.
Again, it's sad to think what these people will do for the money and with no absolute guarantee that they will win it. Do they believe that everyone will just ignore their behavior in the house once they get out into the real world. Of course, I guess they think that this is their one last chance to change their life for the better. But I would hate to be them if they don't win. Talk about a couple of losers.

That is an arguable point.
Even if he did backdoor Dani, that doesn't definitely help Zack.
He's got Eric, Dick and Jameka in the house. Dick is not his friend anymore. Eric and Jameka are tight. Where does that leave Zack? Maybe in a 3-way with Eric and Jameka. Maybe not. Jameka and Eric never liked him and Jameka is only being nice to him since Zack made his (IMO) too early move against D/D.
If he really wants Dick against him in Final 2 (which he has said many times), it still comes down to POV.
Might have been a good move to backdoor Dani, might not. Looks like a better move because he won HOH (which he didn't know at the time of the Eric ouster). If he ousts Dani and didn't win POV, then he is probably up for elimination himself with few friends in the house.
But I'll agree, at least that would have been a bold move. Nominating D/D this week in the manner he did was just a dumb move!
Nominating the Donato's earns Zach jury votes. Jameka has to win POV to stay in the game. 1 in 4 chance. The jury loves Jameka, and now will love Zach for not nominating her. He could care less who wins POV but I bet he hopes Jameka loses. I wonder if he will throw the competition. He is not as dumb as he looks.

back to the game...I think you're absolutely right about Zach. His first mistake was not using the POV to take Eric off the block and evict Danielle. He's lucky he won HOH but Dani is a much better competitor than Eric and he should have gotten rid of her. Of course Dick would have been a beast to live with if Danielle had been evicited but it was still a reallyt stupid move on Zach's part. Then his second big mistake was nominating both the Donatos since the nominations mean nothing, and it's the POV holder who has all the power. Basically the POV winner decides who gets evcited pure and simple. So, he pissed off Dick and Danielle for no good reason.
With that said I can sort of understand why he did what he did. He took a huge chance but he probably chose to keep Danielle in order to appear true to his word in case the Donatos won HOH and POV thinking they might vote out Jameka instead of him and Dick wouldn't be a lunatic in the house all week. He probably nominated both the Donatos to show Jameka she could trust him so they could work together. I still think he screwed up but I can also understand why he did what he did.

Good for your Personal Trainer. But, in defense of Dick, he seems to be the one with primary custody - although Dani was with his parents. It's the mother that seems to be completely MIA.
Dick and Dani have their issues, but it isn't really clear why. They were close at one time, but have been on again/off again over the last 6 or 7 years. And, according to the brother, who seems closer to Dick, it was all over money. Which is very sad and very ironic, since they are playing a game show for money TOGETHER!

As for Zack, I agree wholeheartedly. I understand why he made both "mistakes", but the first one is less serious and more understandable. The D/D nomination served NO purpose (the Eric eviction kept Jam the target should D/D win POV) and potentially cost him votes in Final 2 (the Eric eviction doesn't cost him anything, since he was not an ally of Eric's and Eric isn't potentially as petty as someone like Dani)

True, hind-sight is 20/20... However had Zach not won HOH this time around it would not matter who was in there still, he would have been a target as Jameka is such an extreme non-threat in competitions that you would be stupid to nominate her at this point in the game when the comps are so much more important. Personally his game to me has felt very independent even though he has done what the others have wanted him to do all summer as far as his vote. At least when he makes his nominations as HOH, he usually does it in his own best interest without having to worry about protecting anyone except himself. It pays to play a selfish game at times, this was one of those years with all the paired up alliances of two that there were.
I don't know... that is why I am safe in my own little haven breaking up fights between my kids and not on the show. I don't care who wins at this point, I don't like or not like anyone that is left. I would be happy for anyone that survived that mess and got half a million dollars, goodness knows it won't be me!
Dick and Danielle definitely have issues. I was always really skeptical about their story, especially from Danielle's point of view. Danielle was only 20 years old going into the house and she claims she hasn't spoken to him for 6 years! So basically since she was 14. Before that they claim things were fine. Her brother said it was all over money - at 14 years old what kind of falling out could they have had over money? Seeing how incredibly immature she is now can you imagine what she was like as a 14 year old teenager?! Dick may be difficult to live with, definitely crude and embarassing especially to a teenage girl but he does seem to genuinely care about her. That being said I think there is way more to their story than anyone is letting on.
Well it's crunch time for the POV...and we all have to remind ourselves that this truly is a game no matter who wins...but the 20/20 look back is always fun at the end of the season...I wish they had a program where we could see the houseguests have a marathon session and watch the entire season all together...that would be more fun that this season.
Anon 3:24... I really think a lot of D & D's problems relate to her & her attitude. She has repeatedly talked of the "finer things in life" that she desires & her Live Journal constantly talks of the things she wants but has no money to afford & hopes others will buy for her. Dick apologized to her in the BB house for not giving her the life she wanted, but I think that probably entailed Dani wanting to live in the nice house with the nice things. Dick seems like your average worker who isn't rolling in the cash and hasn't been able to afford all the riches Dani wants. There rift was caused by money she borrowed from dad and didn't pay back... No Dick doesn't look like your conventional father and may not act his age at times, but his love for her is obvious.
I think it is a case of dealing with a selfish teenager. I have two teenagers and one of them is my 'Gimme child', the other is not. My 'Gimme child' thinks we should spend every spare penny on him and him alone and he just has to have everything all his friends have. He has even asked if he could go live with my mother because while there, she spoils him rotten and he loves it. He wants to be the center of all attention and spoils and just hasn't realized the importance of other values in the family. My other teen never asks for anything, enjoys the family and would never have entertained the idea of living somewhere else just gain "goods"... I look at Daniele and I see a lot of the same things I see in my own son. We have a nice home, nice things and are all about family, but for some it just isn't enough.
dknyc... Dani & her dad stopped speaking 2 years ago when she was 19... They have had other moments in their past when they haven't spoken, but it hasn't been 6 years straight. If you click on Dani's pick at Jokers, you can read her Livejournal where she talks of her and her dad being best friends two years ago... I can easily see a 19 yr old borrowing money from dad and not wanting to return it...
Agree with Joe...it's Dani's mom who is MIA...could be she died...who knows. Maternal parents never mentioned either...just Dick and his folks. Vincent seems to be from another marriage...and Dick and he seem to have a good relationship. Wonder if mom will resurface if her daughter wins a half million.
If Dani or Dick don't win the half million, she'll probably marry some rich old coot and hope it doesn't cost her too much of her youth before he kicks off the she inherits his estate. Saw a pic of Luciano Pavarotti's widow at the funeral, younger than all his kids, dressed in a bright color. Probably happy days for her coming. She logged three years married to him. A friend of mine did the same thing...three years and she ended up with a 5 million dollar condo on Fifth Avenue. She too enjoyed "the finer things" in life which she couldn't afford until her marriage. I guess if you really want the goodies without working for them it is a path. Can't be easy though to be in your 20s married to a guy in his 60s.
Hope the producers come up with an endurance POV because whoever wins this essentially wins the game. It would be a shame to make it too easy.
Dick is truly EVIL!!! Part of his plan,right before the comp. begins, is to show Zach a baggie with some crushed shells(they got these last night with the crafts) and tell him it's the lucky shell his ex-gf gave him. It has been like a symbol to him of what he's playing for. Dick hopes to throw him off of his game. It's my understanding that Zach's gf broke up with him before he came on the show.
That's why he keeps saying he played honorably and she better be waiting when this is over. Dick is also planning on throwing out the "racist" remarks before the comp. or during it. Just when I thought, maybe, I could like him he

Anon 4:01pm - I don't think this one will be endurance, because BB will have the big, 2-part comp with the final three HG competing on Tues at the end of the show or on the feeds after. And Part 1 of that comp is usually endurance. Remember the backyard volcano last year that turned into a 5-min comp when Janelle was DQ'd for moving her hand, and Erika cut a deal with Boogie to take her to final 2 with him? (I always wondered how angry those BB staff were, after spending all day building that volcano!)
I don't know, nana, i'm not evil & i don't like to hurt people, but i wonder if i (or any of the rest of us for that matter, nice people that we are) wouldn't use that ploy at this point (Zack's shell, etc) to try to win POV - it's a game, & a half million dollars is at stake

Wonder if they'll use the mountain they designed for the final three last year. They never got to use it. It was supposed to spit lava while the three of them, (Boogie, Erica and Janelle), were standing on their perch. It was also supposed to move/rumble as the volcano erupted.
Didn't get to happen because Boogie jumped off yelling something, which made Janelle turn to look to see what he had done causing her to take her hand off,she was disqualified thus Erica won the first of three comps within minutes of the start of what was supposed to be an endurance competition.
I had read somewhere that the creator of that mountain was upset because it basically never got used.
Would be funny if they decided to resurrect it.

marcellas used the pov to save someone and was immediately put on the block in his season. IT works like this: When you win the pov and do not use it, then you personally are safe. If you use it on anyone else however then you may be nominated in their place. Marcellas found this out when he used it and was put on the block as the replacement.
Dick slept with one of Daniele's friends. Them not talking for 2 years had nothing to do with money. That's a cover up.

Marcellas was on the block and used the POV to save someone else figuring he would be safe and then he was voted out. Now known as one of the stupidest moves ever on BB. The POV winner cannot be nominated for eviction.
Meb - about the backyard volcano, that's too funny that we remembered it at the same time. But I think you got more of the details right in your post. I totally forgot about that jerk Boogie jumping off because he was so sure either would take him to the finals! (Good strategy, but boy, that made me mad!)

Is this delay deliberate, do you think? I know BB is always late starting comps, but this is ridiculous. It was originally supposed to start at 9am, then 1pm and now it's after 2:30pm their time. Are they having problems with the set-up, or are they messing with the HGs? Will they be graded on how well they survive this stress? Maybe that's the actual comp, LOL!

Since Marcellas was already nominated (before he won the POV) and didn't save himself but chose to use his POV to save Amy instead he was able to be evicted. If you aren't on the block and use the POV to remove someone you cannot be the replacement nominee. Hope that clears it up for you.

I'm sure Dick is in Zach's face flaunting their win and threatening him now that they hold the power. Of course when things don't go their way it's never "just a game" Danielle whines and complains it's not fair, it sucks and Dick is all threats and revenge. Then when they win they can't be gracious they have to be even nastier. I just don't understand that. Hard to understand why they had a falling out with each other (and yes that was sarcasm)

Can someone please help a newby to the BB scene (sorry, wasn't into BB in High School)? I missed what was said on Thurs show about the upcoming week. Is Tuesday another eviction night? If all 3 of the remaining HG get to compete in the HoH then how come Dick is saying he and Daniele have already won the money? Is he just assuming? Dick said something about final questions. Does that mean the jury get to ask final questions (like on Survivor)? Please help! Thanks.

Dick has to be the most despicable character ever on that show (and Dani egging him on is no better).
They are sore losers and also manage to be horrible winners with their tactics of gloating and name calling when they WIN. Who does that (besides children)??? I think it'll be a real embarrassment for one of them to walk away with the money. They terrorize and memorize and so they win. What a shame.
Okay so Dani won...let her have her minute. She can take herself off and put up Jam and then vote out Jam but she cannot put up Zach right since he is HOH? So, we await the final threesome like last year with Janelle. Hope Zach can keep his head and not succumb to a stunt by Dick to throw him off his game. Got to give it to Dani for winning...she pulled it out. A brat for sure...but she plays the game.

Dani asked Dick, if he wins the first part of the next comp, will he let her win the second part so she can be HOH. Do you think she would ever consider taking Zach instead of Dick to final 2 if she wins the last HOH? She would beat Zach with no problem because of her record of competition wins (IMO).

That's why I think Zack was an idiot for the nominations. If he nominated Jam and dick instead of D/D, then Dick isn't mad at Zack (he had to nominate ONE of them). Dick may be an ass, but Zack poked a stick in Dick's eye when he didn't have to. Since only POV mattered, gotta wonder why Zack played it that way.
I suppose he might have wanted to rile the Donato's up, hoping to throw them off. But he should know (speaking as an Italian-American myself) that we Mediterranean types focus better when our blood is boiling! :)
All comes down to one more comp - next HOH. Can't believe it's almost over!
[And all you Negative Nancy's who have complained all summer will be sad yourselves and probably go through withdrawal. I really enjoyed this season, even though I hated most of the HGs - heck, maybe I enjoyed BECAUSE I hated most of the HGs :)

Dick probably means that now ONE of the Donato's has to be in the final 2 and he's sure (don't know why) that either one of them will get the jury vote.
I kind of hope it is Zack and one of the Ds, just to see how the jury does vote. If it ends up being two Ds in the final, who would care? (Although I'll bet Danielle would whine if Daddy beat her out with the jury! Who wouldn't love to see the look on her face then? :)

Frankly, I think this is the best possible Final 3, short of having Eric or Jess in their. You've got a Janelle-type (comp Warrior), a Will/Boogie type )moral-free strategy), and an Erika type (floater).
(I know y'all hate when I compare Dick to Will, but I really think it is somewhat apt. I know Will is better looking, I know Will is smoother, BUT neither Will or Dick played with any real morals, and you either loved or hated both of them. Personally, I hated both of them most of the time but ended up respecting their tenacity even as I despised their lack of morals.)

Dr. Will was charming and had class...Dick can't compare. And Dr. Will always always had a sense of humor, even about himself and he was totally entertaining not someone who makes you wonder how a grown man can be such a child.
The part I have a real problem with is "Seeing" Dick on the live feeds, and then seeing him on the tv show. WAY different on the edited TV version. Show the world the farting, smoking, cursing, rocker dad. I wonder if he would have as many friends, or would he be 'amberized'. Ambers life is going to be hell when she gets out.

Sun taped show - Zach winning HOH and nominations
Tues live show - taped POV comp, live POV ceremony and Jameka's eviction, begin Part 1 of last HOH comp (usually endurance)
Weds - Winner of Part 1 sits out, remaining two HGs compete in Part 2.
Thurs live show - Winners of Part 1&2 compete in Part 3 (while other person sits out.) Final winner is HOH and decides who to take with them to Final 2. Other person evicted.
Jury has Q/A of Final 2 (taped over the weekend).
Tues (9/18) live finale - HGs select winner by placing keys in box, Julie pulls out keys one by one and reveals each jury vote

Don't forget the intelligence factor too...Dr. Will was smart...Dick has not presented himself as a smart individual, his English is atrocious, his manners non-existent, and his personal hygiene yucky. Just the spitting and farting alone belie the comparison with the urbane Dr. Will.

But. your counter-argument isn't much of a refutation. They played differently but in a similar style: game first, no morals, ONE FRIEND.
And Dick does have a sense of humor about himself, although he is insecure and Will is a narcissist.
But I stand by the rough comparison. Both played an amoral game relying mostly on strategy and psychological warfare. Dick's psych game was harsher, but he's smart enough to know he couldn't pull off a Will-style psych game - few people are that skilled at deceit (Thank God!)
Bottom line... These people are playing a game and will use what they can to win it. I don't think Will is a user or abuser in his real life & his practice... As I don't think Dick is a Dickhead to all in his life...

I totally agree. I hope both Donatos' don't make the final just to see how it plays out. If they do I really hope Dick wins. Truthfully while I don't like his tactics he played a better game and Danieel would be gone if it wasn't for him. It would be worth the whole season of watching just to see Danielle's face if her father beats her. She will have a total "poor me, how could this possibly happen" meltdown and I would love to see that. Yikes, now they've got me being nasty.

If that's true, doesn't it make sense for Dad to help Dani win 2nd part to shut Zack out? (Don't know what the convo was as I'm not watching the feeds.)
And Will is probably "smarter" than Dick - although as a college chemistry teacher, I'm not sure what that term means - but Dick seemed to be one of the few people capable of discussing current events with any aplomb. So, he may not be a rocket scientist, but he's far from the dumbest person in the house.

I think Dani wants the final POV because a) she's gonna kick her dad out to insure she wins against Zach or b) she's afraid her dad will kick her out to insure he wins against Zach. I really hope Zach wins against either of them. Not that I'm a huge Zach fan, I just usually go for the underdogs!

Yeah, the only downer of a finale as far as I'm concerned is Danielle beating her father in the Final 2. Any other combo would be interesting.
We might as well start sizing up the possible combos:
Dani/Dick - I'm not sure who the jury would go for. They played as a team and everyone thought of them as a team, but I really sensed that Dick was reviled while also more "respected". (That's a bad word, but I can't think of a better one.) Dustin and Amber and Jameka really seemed to give Dick credit, grudgingly, for playing while considering Dani a whining child. 65% chance Dick wins.
Dick/Zack - I think Dick wins this pretty easily. Seemed like people disliked Zack and considered him a Donato puppy dog. Hard to see him beating Dick unless the vote ends up being very personal. 75% chance Dick wins.
Dani/Zack - I think this is the toughest pair to gauge (and, personally, would love to see the look on Dani's face if her lap dog beat her! :) Dani was the warrior this season in comps, but I don't think she was much liked or respected. Dick's stronger presence overshadowed her and hating him for the D/D actions is the same as giving HIM the credit. Zack came on strong at the end, and if he managed to survive the E/J/D/D alliance and slide into the Final 2, I think he would get some jury respect as well as being the beneficiary of any anti-Donato sentiment. 50/50

Joe you can justify your thoughts on the Will/Dick comparison, but I beg to disagree with you. I don't need to refute your thoughts or share my own, I simply disagree that Dick is anything like Will.
Every year, not just this one, I think the game is a week to ten days too long. I lose interest when Sept gets here. It is a great summer show, but I don't think I would even watch if it were on the fall/winter schedule. It is just a Summer Showmance to me, I guess. D & D are celebrating by patting each other on the back. Actually Dick is taking most of the bows and Daniele seems to be noticing the credit he is taking. Teasing him that she will not vote out J but him. They both laugh at her joke. D is saying that the DR was rooting for them to win Veto. I don't think that is true, but BB can't really want them to say it and get all of us all riled up, do they? And, I am surprised how open D & D have been about the coded letter from the brother/son. That is really funny, after all the laughter on the boards about Jameka and Amber thinking the letters from home were coded. Little did I know. I thought that was just something the J & A made up. Deanna, Dick may be playing the game but his tactics of verbal abuse go beyond what I would consider fair play. IMO it's one thing to manipulate and decieve in this game it's another to rant and rave obsenities, intentionally try to hurt people, get in people's faces and threaten them (even when you've won) - that's beyond playing a game - that is abuse. I realize Dick didn't break any rules but I'm not a fan of his tactics. That being said I think he probably deserves to win.

I see lots of similarities between Will and Dick (lots of differences too) They both had a risky strategy
that made them targets but managed to survive and they both carried another player. Of course I think Will was smoother and obviously less confrontational than Dick but both were deadly competitors in their own way. I hope that unlike last year the player who got "carried" doesn't win.

I think you nailed it about the final 2 pairs and how the jury might vote. We were discussing that here at my house too, and came up with about the same thing you did, although we hope that Daniele's competition play would give her the edge over Zach. I think it will depend on what the jury members have seen on the tapes. We have no idea at this point if they have received tapes like other years or if there has been a change in that procedure.
I've enjoyed this season too. It was a bit slow there for what seemed like forever, but it made up for itself. I usually like more of the houseguests than I have this year, and I am usually rooting for someone way before September.
I think this season will continue to be interesting. I got a little "pit of my stomach" feeling about Daniele joking about voting Dick out instead of Jameka....

I've heard way more about Nick than Kris lately.
I would like to confess to all of you, I broke down and read Dani's blog yesterday...so sorry...my mind has grown weak from BB.
There is a lot in her blog about Kris. Apparently they were together, she broke up with him when he moved to Florida for a while, he came back to Cali engaged to someone else, he dumped the someone else for her. She was SOOOOOOO in love with him in her blog, but it was in a schoolgirl kind of way. She was made at her grandparents and then her dad and wanted out, she ended up dropping out of college and moving in with Kris. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up breaking up (although they are supposed to go to Disney World after BB!)
That said, Will (yes, I'm beating a dead horse) and Janelle each had significant others outside the house and they carried on a torrid showmance all summer last year...
Boogie and Erika had a fake showmance after Boogie had a fake showfiance the first time!!!

Totally agree. I think Dani is more the Janelle to Dick's Will than the Boogie - please, no incest jokes. That really is a dangerous combination. And, I really think both Will AND Janelle carried Boogie last year. Psychological warfare and half of the POVs are a dangerous combination - much tougher than either alone.
And, I will grudgingly admit, although we'll never know, Will managed to win BB2 WITHOUT Boogie. I'm not sure Dick would have gotten this far without Danielle. Between the two of them, they always managed to come up with a POV when they needed it.

I agree with you. And, I gotta admit, the one thing that would knock the Dustin eviction and Eric/Jess DE from the top of BB8 memories would be that whiny little ingrate Dani booting her dad from the final 4!!!
Now, she'd have to be an idiot to do it, but boy would that be a lot of fun.
