'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Into Friday Pre-Dawn

I could almost sum up what Daniele has said in a few phrases:
"This sucks."
"That sucks."

There. Her reaction to losing the second HOH comp to Zach by a wee bit is out of the way.

Here's what happened since the live show from within that Big Brother House of "We All Float Down Here, Georgie" (a nod to Stephen King):
  • As I mentioned in my last post, after the feeds returned around midnight ET, the second HOH comp had been completed and Zach won.
  • Dick, who couldn't compete due to his very short HOH reign, told Zach that Daniele is very upset because she was so close.
  • Dick has spent most of the time since the feeds returned consoling Daniele who is moping, kicking herself, whining, and going into all but catatonic states.
  • Dick did take the time to hit the storage room with Jameka, see it had been freshly stocked, and offered to make them sandwiches as BB didn't feed them after the comp (their usual practice).
  • At times, Daniele got mad at Dick for trying to console her. (She probably would be mad if he didn't try, too.)
  • Zach got a crown, but he's not acting as insufferable as Dustin did.
  • Daniele fussed to Dick that she didn't want to see Zach's "stupid HOH room."
  • Daniele worked out and repeatedly refused to put on her microphone. No penalties happened.
  • Dick mentioned that he's the oldest person to make it into the final four of the game.
  • Daniele fussed that she's already getting the nominee treatment. @@
  • Jameka packed up Eric's things.
  • When BB called Daniele to the Diary Room she said she didn't want to go. Then she said if she went, she refuses to answer any questions.
  • Jameka is still upset about the blue ball in her tube at the POV comp despite the fact it wouldn't have changed the results.
  • Zach had a long talk with Jameka. He told her that her key will be in the box.
  • He also told her that, despite the fact that she's his friend, Daniele has to go home. He wants the final three to be himself, Dick, and Jameka.
  • He swears he will have her (Jameka's) back.
  • There ya have it. Nominations will be later today and Zach will put Daniele and Dick on the block.
  • In tomorrow's POV, Dick could remove Daniele or himself or vice versa. But if Jameka wins, she can't use it.

Wow...talk about a Zach attack!
I read some of the live feed update conversation between Zach and Jameka. I was impressed with it. You should go over to Jokers and read through it.
He still has his eyes on the second place money so he can "produce Dolphincrash".
What do you think this POV will be?

First of all...WOW, Jackie, great job reporting and so many comments! I'm playing catch up with a few things I wasn't around to say earlier.

During the show, when they showed Daniele telling Eric that Jess was still safe..an obvious lie, Daniele did that very smoothly. None of the body language twitches Eric had. She is very accomplished at it. That is the way the game is played...but I was surprised at how calmly and expertly she handled it.

Dick always has time to toot his own horn. Gotta love that about him. He spoke of being the oldest in F4, isn't Daniele the youngest to play the game?

Now to my opinion of the Ds game playing ability. They really know the game and are playing to win. That is what I like to see, even with players I don't like to watch. I have one reservation about their play, though, and that is we don't really know how well they stack up to expert players, since they haven't had any competition in this season. They have ruled from the beginning. But, no one objected to their being in charge. The others rolled over and played dead and allowed the 2 to dominate...not quite the same as fighting to win.

Please, please, don't bring Nick back. I don't care if BB builds it up so that Daniele knows he is one of the possibilities and is standing outside the door, and then he has to leave...like with Cappy Season 6. But, the D team doesn't need another member.

Again, thanks to you, Jackie. Sue

Oy Vey!! Daniella has GOT to go. I work in an elementary school, and she whines and complains more than the kindergarteners! I don't like Dick's tactics, but he should be doing everything he can to get her out of the house. At least he would have a couple of days of peace and quiet.
If someone does come back in to the house, I hope it's Nick, and that he has a part in booting Daniells's butt out of there!
(I'm usually a nice person, but she brings out the mean in me!!)

Dani is really a sore loser!!! I watched the feeds when they came back last night and had to turn her off. Whine Whine Whine I can't take it anymore. I can't believe I'm going to say this. GO ZACH!!!!!

If they brought back Nick, he wouldn't boot Daniele! That would be the last person to see walk back in. Jen would make some noise in the house if she were to return! Let the fun begin!

Anonymous said...

They've only got eleven more days to be in that house. Does anyone really think they'll bring back someone for that short a time? I'm skeptical. I think it was just an online poll. I've been on other sites and they put them up just so they can know everyone's opinion. But they don't mean anything. It seems to me if CBS were going to bring back someone the poll would be on their website.

I am so happy to see Zach is really playing the game!!! And as Danielle says to everyone with such a smile on her face,"It's nothing personal, just strategy." It's hard not to be amused that she can dish that out but she can't take it! Go Zach!!!

HAAHAHAAAAAAA -- Awwww Dani what happened to ALL the excitement? Zach has to think ahead, which he should realize the person who win's POV, ultimately has more Power than HOH, Why would anyone keep Danelle? She's a huge power player, Zach I think realizes, he'd have a greater chance of at least winning 2nd place, at this point voting out Jameka would be useless..Despite what D & D attempt to sell Zach by stating it would be difficult for anyone to beat Jameka, it's doubtful either of them would vote the other out, otherwise why not take their own advice, IMO Zach's ONLY chance of winning would be against Jameka, although she of course would receive Ambers and perhaps Dustin's vote, I believe all others would vote for him. Zach would have a difficult time against Dick and Dick during 3 part HOH phase. Evicting Dani gives Zach a better chance against Jameka/Dick,POV today could be some type of endurance mixed in with concentrating on colors, maybe blocks - squares where you'd attempt to eliminate one another,if its something to that effect Jameka-Zach have no choice but to team up, though I'm sensing it'll be related to what Zach may be used to doing, similar to last years POV where Erica had the advantage. Who know's it could be balancing glasses, if so Dick will win, I will find it hilarious if Jameka wins POV, it will be a Dustin moment all over again.

What did I miss? What can't Jameka use the POV if she wins it?

Go Zack!! I'm so happy!! ...this gets him one step closer and I think he's playing it right. I'm sad Jessica is gone I liked her....but I'm loving that Danielle is pissed....I hope she goes and not Dick.

If Dick or Daniele win Veto Jameka is gone.... As far as game play I think D&D have played the best game this season and Zach too. I honsetly would mind seeing Zach in the final 2 (dodging the pens and keyboards) I do not think that Jameka deserves it but the other three do. I just hope D or D wins the Veto then she definatly goes....

Zach has indicated that he will put both Dick and Dani on the block. If Jam wins the Veto and uses it, he will have to replace her as a nom. If she goes on the block and wins the Veto, she will have to use it to save herself. Either way whoever wins the Veto gets to decide who goes home this week.

Anonymous said...

But Jackie said Jameka couldn't use the veto if she won it.....but why not?

Anonymous said...

Jameka can't use the veto because there is no one left to put up in place of who she removes.

I hope if one of the Donatos goes home it will be Dani instead of Dick.
Dani has been successful in winning comps and of putting Zach under her spell but overall I feel that Dick has played the game from Day one.
Dani stayed cooped up smoozing with Nick until he left.
I know I'm beating a dead horse but if Zach, the village idiot, had used the veto last night to get Dani out he would have a much easier week as HOH.
I do hope that Jameka goes along with Zach's plan to evict Dani. If Dick goes off on Jameka and Zach in an attempt to save Dani it will be a rough week for everyone.

wouldn't it be more prudent for Zack to put Danielle and Jamika on the block then if he or Jameka win the POV they can use it to save Jameka and put Dick on the block, thus getting one of the D's out and heres the sticky part.....still reflect that he's with them because of the numbers he has to put one of them up...that way he still leaves Jameka as the D's target and keeps himself in the finals?

I don't get the live feeds, I count on everyone here to tell what's up. I gotta tell ya, you'd have to think it's fixed. Really, all the quiet times, the calls to the DR. Wouldn't it have been great if BB would have fixed it for Eric to be HOH last !!! Even if they had him go all the way but didn't be able to collect 1st place. Would he have gone for it? How interesting would that have made him.
I really hope D & D go! Not that I like Zach or Jam. Neither one deserves to be there. Talk about floating !!!!
What bad game they played, I mean really !
Well if Dick wins, how mad will Dani be at him,. and will she not talk to him again for another 7 , 8 , years?

Anonymous said...

I would love to see Jameka go. She has done nothing to deserve being there. I think her best move though was when she took the deal not to be able to compete in 5 hoh comps. That is was saved her all this time because of not being a threat.
I hope it ends up being Zach and Dick in the end. Danielle is spoiled and braty and should not get a dime. Zach or Dick can win and I'd be happy either way.

Sheree said...

I don't think Zack had any other choice than to float...nobody wanted anything to do with him....I think he also played the game well with the options he was offered....he didn't win anything until the end of the game when it's important and kept himself unthreatening and non committed in the beginning but showing loyalty when needed and he always went with his word and not aggainst it. I think that makes him a good player!

Way to go Zach!!!! I said not to
count him out just yet. And who says that him not pulling all the stops out until now,at the end of the game,is not a strategy worthy of winning?? He could very well win POV again(anybodybutdaniele)! He would have played a very different game if his buddies had not been ousted so soon, but then, nobody wanted to talk game with him,so too bad,so sad!

dick may be the oldest chronologically, but his actions bespeak the maturity level of a 2 year old!JMO

sheree: It's a good theory "if" it all happened the way you stated, but the operative word here is "if". If he put Jam/Dani up and Jam or Zack wins POV, Jam comes off Dick goes up and one of the D's goes home.

But... if Dani wins it, she takes herself off, Dick goes up, Dani is the only vote, she votes Jam off and there you go...Zack would be up against the two of them in the final three.

I think Zack can beat Dick most of the time, but I don't think he can beat Dani as easily. This final three will be an endurance and Dani has proven she can hang in there with the best of them.

Zack needs to get Dani out of the house now!

Anonymous said...

Jessica votes for Jameka over D&D for sure. Not sure America would let Eric do it though. Jen's the deciding vote. It's 4-3 either way.

meb said...

Jackie: I've only been watching this from the beginning and all of a sudden I have drawn a blank.

If D/D are on the block, then only the two nominees and the HOH can play for POV...is that right...I mean, since they all three can't pick another player. Or is it: when it gets down to the final 4 all 4 can play????

Sorry, I've had a real brain freeze.

Anonymous said...

I think if Jameka somehow makes it to the final 2 she wins for sure, and oh what a blow that would be to the so called "power players".

Daniele's behavior just amazes me. When things are going her way she's all "nothing personal, just strategy", but as soon as the tides turn she reverts to this bratty 2 year old that you really want to swat on the ass.

I'm so glad to see that Zach seemed to finally wake up and realize he needs to get rid of one of them. He had the perfect opportunity last night with the veto, but he blew that chance. I hope he or Jameka wins the POV and bye-bye Daniele - not at all sorry to see you go!

I hope, hope, hope that spoiled, bratty waif goes home this week. How soon she forgets that it's "just a game, nothing personal." She sure seems to be taking it all personally. I was thrilled that Zach won HOH again. I was hoping it would be Jameka since she's had NO game or power since day 1 and I was hoping she would bring it so we could see what she's got but alas we will never know. Maybe she can win the veto so her float to the final four won't seem like a complete travesty.

Sheree said...

Yes Meb...I agree however because of the numbers the chances are that no matter who he puts on the block in any combination the risk is that one of the d's will be the deciding vote as they count as 2/4 of the house. But with a Dani, Jam on the block he can keep up appearances that he's still in their pocket and if either Zack or Jameka wins POV he can have Jameka control the vote by putting the other D up in her place. If they don't win the POV Jameka will still be their target...although who knows with those two, I for one have no problem with Dick in the final two I do however want to see Dani go home now!!

Just wondering, is the America's Player thing over now that Eric is evicted or will we control his vote for the winner? I personally hope that he gets to vote for himself. I agree with what he said last night about things being very different if he had been able to vote the way he wanted. Even without the mustard incident which was blamed on Nick, Nick would have gone home that week. Dick would have gone home instead of Dustin and who knows what would have played out after that.

Hi Jackie,

First, let me just say thank you for a fabulous job as always. Thank you very much for your hard work and for all the entertainment you provide for all of us.

Now, I have a question for you. Do you think Zach is some kind of CBS/BB plant in the house? We've seen very little of his diary sessions, he claims to have been recruited at the last minute, and now he said to Jameka " I was hired for a job, here to play a game, I did it. Wait until the rap party...I'm not who you think I am...there is more, there is more...I've had to lay low specifically for a reason".

Any theories?

Anonymous said...

Do we even know there will be a POV at this point? Seems to me they stopped doing it this late in the game in years past. Rather than run the risk of there not being a POV, I think Zach has to put both Ds up even though I have no idea why Jameka is still in that house.

I can't believe Daniele might possibly, maybe, but unlikely, get evicted. Some how, some one will save her. But, if she does go, then whoever sends her home wins the jury votes. Great screen cap of her, btw, Jackie. Her face says it all.

Nick knows about Eric, Jen isn't supposed to, since she made it to the jury. It must just be a poll, but if it were to happen, I would think it was a visit into the house or hosting something. Or, it might be Jen still making waves and asking for a deal. Even if she just walked in the front door, turned around and left, it would be fun to see Dick's face.

I thought having Janelle as part of the feeds was a good idea and showed that someone in production understood the problems with this season and was trying to make it better. Along those lines, I wouldn't mind hearing Jen or Nick doing a play by play during the Show Two time. A little commentary on the hgs as they sulk, whine, complain, kill ants, etc.

Every year I want to rewatch the first episode when it is that boring last week. I either don't watch the first one, or there are so many hgs I don't remember who said or did what. After I know them, I like to see how the acted the first day. Was Daniele whining? Or excited to be in the house? What was Jessica's impression when she first saw Eric? BB could run that on one of the quad screens and maybe pick up some excitment. Maybe not. Just a thought.

I feel that Jameka have not floated like everyone says. She did win a veto before; she took Jen off of the block. Stragetically I believe she just got along with everyone for the most part and let the power players (as some call it) go at it. IMO I feel if a person can make it with doing nothing they are the smarter player because they had enough sense to try and keep the target off their back. I never understood why people think winning competitions makes you a better player. There have been evident all players do not play up to their full potential so it makes some seems like some are stronger player. In the end they all have to play the game with what they feel is going to work for them despite what the fans may think.

IMO for some fans I just don't think Jameka can do nothing right in their eyes.

GO JAMEKA AND ZACH

In honor of my new "favorite" for the win, I've changed my avatar. I think ED would approve! :-)

From what I could gather watching Big Brother after dark, Jameka was only 2 points away from Zach and you didn't hear her whining like a two year old. Someone needs to tell Danielle that it doesn't matter how Zach came up with the win, he won fair and square and to get over it. So many people were complaining about Jess's behavior but there's NO WAY Danielle isn't a sorer sport/spoiled brat baby. She thinks she DESERVED to win because she studied everything carefully. That would be ENTITILEMENT Danielle, which is something you claim to hate, along with your father. Missing one answer can be the difference between winning and losing and it looks like YOU WERE THE LOSER!!!

Danielle and Dick were sitting high on the hog last night while they had the power to take out two people they were supposedly aligned with till the final four. Did anyone else notice how Dick, Danielle and Zach slinked away to the kitchen after the voting was done and Jess was leaving. None of them said goodbye or wished her well. COWARDS.

Dick keeps complaining that he got no perks with being HOH. I guess taking out Eric (the one who saved HIS butt and one of the people in his four person alliance to the end--LIE) wasn't enough for him. He wants a letter etc. Please. Talk about greedy. Him and Danielle are both self-involved, obnoxious people and I hope that KARMA will be a bitch for the both of them.

When Zach puts them both on the block I hope someone whispers in their ears, "it's just strategy!"

I don't think Zach is the big dummy everyone thinks he is. I think he laid low until he needed to make a move and now we're seeing the real Zach...the one who takes chances.

By not using the POV on Eric last night, he insured that Eric would leave. Now he's told Jameka that he's nominating ED/Dani. I think he was counting on winning the HOH so he could put his plan into motion. It's very risky, but some people like the risk. If he hadn't won HOH, things wouldn't have worked out for him...but he DID and now he's in the catbird seat. If Zach is playing risky and counting on himself to win, it's a very good strategy.

Now, is he really doing that?

Joe in NY said...

To Meb and Sheree,

I agree. If I were Zack I would put up Jam and one of the Ds to maintain appearances. It all comes down to POV anyway, so why rock the boat.

As for Eric whining that AP screwed up his game. We'll never know. I think it hurt him sometimes but it helped him a lot of times. Overall, I think it was an ADVANTAGE!

Everyone forgets that he was the only person in the house getting information from outside the house. The target/vote information was critical in seeing how people were viewing the HGs and could even help him determine who he could/couldn't trust.

Not only that, you can't tell me that the DR wasn't trying to manipulate people to keep him in the game (would have screwed up CBS's plans if Eric was voted out early).

And, I'm not sure Nick goes home that week if it weren't for the hinky Eric votes that Eric cleverly blamed on Nick. It was those votes that led Dick to believe that Nick was playing both sides and had to go - otherwise, Dick doesn't target his daughter's showmance that early so he gets to hear all that Dani whining.

It's also not clear that Dick would even be up against Dustin if not for the Nick vote. Remember, the banner plane pointed the finger at Eric for lying. Dick decided Eric had lied (and he was right!) and targeted Eric. That decision is the reason Jess targeted D/D the following week. And I'm not sure it wasn't in Eric's interest to make that deal with Dick. If Eric goes ahead and boots Dustin, then either Zack or Dani would come after he and Jess.

And the Amber eviction was strictly Eric's choice. He had POV, he could have saved her. He didn't and that had little to do with AP. At best, he wanted the AP money (Eric, you can't take the money and then complain that they let you play for the money!). At worst, it was a bad strategic decision (Jess wanted to backdoor Dani, and nothing prevented Eric from doing it except greed - at worst, Zach would have gone home instead of Amber).

And, with all that said, even IF Eric had successfully booted Nick and Dick and then somehow got Dani and Zack later (A LOT OF IFs), then he and Jess are still the likely targets in the Final 6 as the strong pair.

AP definitely changed his game, but it is grossly unfair to conclude that it hurt his game. And, let's not forget, Eric gets to go home with nearly 2nd place money ($40k vs. $50k) even though he finished 5th. Jess gets $0, Jameeka or D/D get $0 for going home next.

And hopefully Zack will win the POV and send one of them home...also wishful thinking. I want Zack and Jameka as the final 2, since they've both managed to get this far.

Anonymous said...

If Z wants to out Dani, doesn't he need to put up both D & D? Jameka can still win the POV and not use it. But if he puts Jameka up and she DOESN't win POV she could go home. It does matter who he nominates.
Also - Is Eric not in sequester since he was the AP? I got that impression somehow...that he didn't get to go to sequster with Jess.

Thanks Joanie...depending on what happens Tuesday, I may get to use the geeky dancing guy for the final week. That one is really funny too!!

Joe in NY said...

To kittykitty,

Makes no difference who he nominates. POV winner controls everything.

Jam and a D on the block:

Jameke wins POV - she comes down, D goes up and Jam decides who goes home

Zack wins POV - down comes Jam, up goes D and Jam decides who goes home

A D wins POV, noms stay same and D sends Jam home.

If both Ds are up on the block:

Jam wins POV - noms stay. Jam decides who goes home.

Zack wins POV - noms stay. Jam decides who goes home.

D or D win - one D comes down, Jam goes up, the other D sends Jam home.

Noms are irrelevant at this point.

Anonymous said...

Kittykitty - It doesn't matter which combination he puts up because if one of the Donatos wins POV, Jameka will go home. The only way to insure Jameka stays is to have them both stay on the block until the vote. As long as Jameka is on the block, one of the Donatos votes for the eviction and she will go...

Deanna said...

IMO, it doesn't matter one teeny tiny bit who Zack nominates for eviction. He could nominate himself if it was allowed and it wouldn't matter. The only thing that matters, is that D or D win POV & remove the other, forcing Jameka onto the block and making the one removed the "only" vote in the eviction. So Zack can promise the moon to Jameka at this point, but it really can hold no water. The power is not really in his hands, but in everyones, since they will all play POV. Whoever wins the POV this week holds the power to change the game. I am hoping that Jameka does NOT make it to the final 3. I can't stand when someone who has literally just floated along makes it this far. The only thing she ever won was the POV that Dustin selfishly threw...

Im also disgusted with the "Live" vote on last nights show. Last week "America" voted for Eric to target Jameka, then we again voted for him to vote her out and now they can dare claim "America" wanted Daniele nominated and not Jameka? Especially after her & Amber tagged team & lied to Jessica about Eric?? Every poll I've seen has Jameka signifantly lower in ratings than Daniele. Funny how the only ones who voted were the East Coast and they still call it "Americas player". I am truly furious that this happened. Thankfully it didn't matter because Dweeb boy didn't win, but if he had I could imagine the outroar from the rest of the country who apparantly does not matter. I think EP Alison needs to be canned, she has ran this season like crap.

In the beginning of the season, when they were explaining the AP rules, they said that if Eric manages to make it to the jury, then "America" will be able to vote once again on who Eric will get to vote to win the $$... Unless they change their rules, but I clearly remember them saying that. It doesn't matter if he tells the other jurors he is AP, or even if the HG, because it wouldn't really affect the game, since he is no longer in jeopardy of being voted out. The jury would just understand that Eric's vote wouldn't be in his hands.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I LOOKED TOO AND CBS DOES SAY: He's not done yet... what a bummer. I think we should leave the guy alone!

I doubt eliminating Dani yesterday would have helped much. Still all comes down to comps in the final 4.

Replace Dani with Eric and who allies with whom isn't clear. Zack might well have found himself without a country. After all, Jam and Eric would have been tight and Zack would have just stabbed Dick in the back.

Would still all come down to comps. If Dani starts winning some this week, might have been a factor. So far, Zack is 1-0 AND it doesn't much matter who goes home from his standpoint.

On the BB Americas Player page it states that Eric has one more task to complete.. casting Americas vote on finale night...so it looks like America will be voting for the winner via Eric.
DKNYNC 11:03 very interesting theory, anything is possible but how would that benefit BB/CBS?
I am rooting for anyone but Jameka because I feel she had the weakest game of the 4 left.

I'm not getting Zach's strategy of putting both D's up on the block. I thought he wanted to go to the F2 with Dick. I know it doesn't matter who wins PoV and I guess if Zach won PoV he can decide to remove one them and put Jameka up.

Daniele really showed her true colors last night, not that she hasn't before. I can't stand her whining, but that was too much last night. Grow up Daniele, and learn to lose with some grace.

The PoV should be some sort of physical contest.

No one is coming back. The show is over September 18th. Eviction is set for Tuesday and HoH, and eviction Thursday to determine the F2, and that's that!

Someone asked (sorry I didn't write down the post name)about Nick and Daniele. Good question. As far as I know, they met in the house. There must have been lots going on with them, but all I can remember were scenes of Dani in bed with Nick sitting next to her telling her she is beautiful. Evidentally that is the way to her heart. Was there more to it, what made them a couple? Dani went with her alliance and voted him out. Papa was glad, mad, thought it was a good idea, thought it was a mistake, but took him out any way. Daniele was under 21 coming into the house and told Nick her secret, so must have trusted him.

I read what Zach told Jameka. If he is playing for BB, he needs to be quite about it. There is irony there, that Jameka and Zach are talking when they were the first couple of 'enemies' in the early days of the house. Sue

Oh my goodness, just came by to check in and I find the ladies fighting over Shrek! Well, desperate times call for desperate measures, but seriously ladies, only in the bunny suit. ONLY...in...the...bunny...suit.

I've been reading some at TV Clubhouse (sorry Jackie, but you rec. it, too)(your place is the best, though) to see what Zach said to Jameka. One convo had him saying (maybe not exact words) 'People mistake me for someone I am not'. I think that goes along with the Zach we have seen all season instead of his being a secret player. I think he was referring to the Shrek and slowness of thought other players attributed to him. I think he was saying he isn't stupid, but sees himself as methodical and smart with a plan he is putting into place.

I am going to pull a Dick here...wait that didn't quite sound like I intended. Dick likes to take credit for things. To say he said something that everyone else thought of, too. That is what I was meaning. And all those of you who thought otherwise can now wipe the giggley face clean. I compared Zach several decades ago (at least it seems that long ago) to Horton, who said "I'll do what I said and I said what I'll do". Last week Zach actually said those words. I laughed out loud, here all by myself. Just taking credit like Dick does..see? Sue

I've just had a sick feeling this year that this whole show was so "scripted" that it wasn't even believable. Especially when we got down to this past show. It just seems like everybody knows ahead of time what their role is supposed to be and they play it out. I've suspected it in years past, but this year it was pretty obvious!!

To Joe in NY, Orkmommy & Deanna.
Thanks for explaining why the noms don't matter. I needed it broken down to see it.
If I were Jameka though, I'd still push not to go up at all. With a Zach POV win she'd have to trust that he'd take her off. And, although he seems to be in his right mind now, I wouldn't put anything past the Donatos to sway him.
I am not a D & D fan. I'm hoping for a Zach & Jameka final 2. Like you guys explained, it'll all come down to the POV. (And Zach really targeting Dani)

Kim - 11:41AM: It's not true that Dick, Zach and Daniele were all in the kitchen as Jessica said her good-byes. On the tape, I don't see Dani but Dick and Zach are shown prominently in the background behind J&E as they gave their final hugs before she walked out the door. They obviously knew she did NOT want to say good-bye to them.

Why do you think it's selfish of Dick to think he got short-changed as HOH? All he wanted was what everyone else got as HOH; pix, a letter from a loved one (his son) and his favorite snacks. Any of the other HGs would have had the same reaction in that situation. I also think it unfair, but unfortunately, that's what happens during Fast Forward. I think he was just bemoaning his bad luck. A natural reaction.

Anonymous said...

Dick and Dani make me so mad! I can't believe they promised the final 4 to Eric and Jessica and then went back on it. I know lying is part of the game but come on! I hate to see either of them win! Go Zach and Jameka!

Anonymous said...

It's not unfair that Dick didn't get all the perks because that's the way the fast forward works. I believe the same thing happened to Janelle last year. It's part of the game and not unfair at all. The Donato's are the biggest complainers EVER on the show. Whine, whine, whine. Very tedious.

I don't tape the show or go back and watch screen shots or get the feeds etc., but all I know is that the only people saying goodbye to Jess were Jam and Eric. Dick, Dani and Zach did not say goodbye because they were cowards, IN MY OPINION. Dick claims to have really liked Jess...if that is the case, say goodbye, wish her well, etc. That's what normal adults would do. It's a game. They felt guilty and that is why they stood back. They outsed Jess and now we want to blame JESS for them not saying goodbye?

Kim

Also, I don't call getting the HOH and evicting Eric bad luck. That is incredible good luck. But since he's selfish like his daughter, he thinks he deserves more.

Kim

Of course Eric and Jess should have seen this coming. Dani and Dick evicted NICK and he was supposedly tight with both (and is now Dani's new boyfriend). They show no loyalty to anyone but themselves.

Go Zach and Jameka.

Kim

Anonymous said...

The way to have the odds in his favor to get at least one of the Donato's out, Zach NEEDS to put them both up against each other. He risks sending Jam home otherwise (should neither Zach nor Jameka win the POV)---make Dick and Dani work to get off the block. That's how the game works. I will enjoy watching them squirm and stress out.

Zach doesn't want to go with Dick to the final two anymore from what I can tell. He wants to be with Jameka.

Anonymous said...

As far as it being unfair Dick didn't get the HOH perks, if he truly is a student of the game, he realizes the fast forward HOH never gets it. Last year I was so happy Chicken George finally got an HOH, but sad that he couldn't enjoy the goodies. He didn't carry on about it.

No I think you're confusing Eric hugging Dani with Jess hugging her. Dick, Zach and Dani were no where to be seen when Jess left. Although I think they knew she wouldn't want to say goodbye to them and didn't want to look stupid standing there. Let's see how Dani acts if she goes home on Tuesday, she'll probably storm out without even hugging her Dad, while muttering "this sucks" to herself, LOL.

I've liked Zach from the beginning and could not understand why others thought him such an "ogre". I do know that he's a little awkward socially, but keep in mind,he's lost an enormous amount of weight just recently and that makes a big difference in one's life. I know,it happened to me and people treat you so different. Now the hamsters never knew "chubby Zach" but saw the backward guy the weight had created. He's into things that lonely, ostracized guys seem to gravitate towards. But I think he's very smart, and kind and loyal and he's not bad on the eyes either. Zack is better off putting up jam and one of the Ds for elimination. The power of veto is going to deceide who goes home anyway. If D or D wins, then Jam goes home either way, no matter who is nominated. If Zack or Jam wins, one of the Ds goes home, no matter who is nominated, so what's the diff?

Anonymous said...

The biggest problem with Dani is that she honestly seems to believe that she is smarter than everyone. When she wins something, it's because she's smart and talented etc., but when, say, Zach wins, it's dumb luck. She's so insulting to everyone in the house and has been that way from the beginning. She has formed NO relationships at all in all the time she has been there aside from Nick, whom she evicted to further HER game.

Now she wants Zack to not put she and her father up together because it'll be "too hard." Boo hoo. Wonder if she was wearing her teeny bikini when she went to have her little chat with him. If so, I don't think it's working. No way would Dick or Dani take anyone other than each other to the final two...so why does she think Zach owes HER anything?

She needs a reality check like yesterday.

Kim

Anonymous said...

The difference between Jam being up with one of the D's as opposed to putting the two D's up against each other is that Jam would HAVE to win the POV and so the pressure is on HER. If it's Dick and Dani on the block, THEY have the pressure to win the POV on them and if one of them gets it, then Jam goes home. That's a big difference--at least to me. She would be responsible for her own doom should she not get the POV (or Zach)...whereas, all she needs is God to be on her side while she sits on the sidelines.

Kim

Anonymous said...

I agree w/ Sharon about Zach. He is very nice looking and yes, awkward but probably from being fat. He has played the best game of anyone and kept his dignity all the way.

Anonymous said...

I love it. Dani is now encouraging Dick to go up with pots and pans to Zach's room and "Talk some sense into him" (aka: Threaten!!)

Dani is such a brat!!!!

Kim

Anonymous said...

Zach should have gotten rid of Dani yesterday. His chances of getting her out today are much less.

Anonymous said...

if either Jam or zack don't win the pov, then Jam is going home no matter who is nominated. The pressure is on her to win even if she is not up. It doesn't matter.

Anonymous said...

My comment is based on the assumption that Jameka knows she will be going should Dani or Dick win the veto. Why should she be on the block and have THAT stress on top of everything else? Of couse she will go if either of the D's get the veto...that is a given. There are that many scenarios that can play out. I'd rather sit on the sidelines and watch Dick and Dani sweat it out. I think it would be more fun. Now if you would rather be sitting in the hot seat on top of everything else, good for you. I think it does make a difference.

Kim

Anonymous said...

Yes, Zach should have gotten rid of Dani yesterday, but that didn't happen so I guess he'll have to try and get her out the next go round. If it's harder...so be it. That was his choice. If Zach puts the Donato's up, the pressure will be one them to win it or lose it. I look forward to seeing how they crack under the pressure.

Kim

Anonymous said...

It seems Zach just did not have time to think last night...he could have gotten rid of Dani and had Eric there to help finish off Dick.

If Dani and Dick were thinking, they would have kept Jessica when they realized it was double eviction night. She is a tough competitor and may have returned the "loyalty" had she won!

Also, they all compete in veto and have since there have been 6 or less left and Jackie said last night that AP ends September 12th officially!

Deanna said...

Joy... I agree. I think anyone in Dicks position (fast forward HOH) would complain, but I also don't think he was seriously complaining. He did it in a funny kinda way. It wasn't an outright complaint and I think it was more of something to talk about than anything. These people are stretching for a convo. Besides, anyone in his position would feel a lil jilted, especially after no contact with the real world for so long.

I also don't think D&D going back on their F4 alliance with E&J was wrong. If it wasn't for America swaying Eric, thus swaying Jessica, they were going to do it last week. Besides, each side saved the other for one whole week and in my book that is "Dead even". In this game, the smarter, stronger player will make the boldest move first. D&D did the right move at the right moment. Zack not using the POV last night was NOT a bold move and it may lead to his demise...

The way Jessica jumped off the couch and rushed to the door was a clear cut sign to the house that she did NOT intend to say Goodbye to certain people and they respectively held back and understood it. If she was a mature woman, she would have understood the nature of the game and would have hugged each person like Amber did. IMO, it was Jessica who made the childish, selfish move first and the others just followed the lead she set. I mean honestly, at least Amber graciously hugged everyone & wished them well and she is looked at as the nutcase of the season.

GO DONATOS!

Wow Danielle is totally annoying!!!! Stupid girl....get a life...

Anonymous said...

Ugh! Is the POV not until Sat? We need to get on with it! After all the excitement last night and now just waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

Anonymous said...

Deanna-
The difference seems to be that Jessica was betrayed by two people who were in a sworn alliance...Amber knew and had time to prepare (nutcase or not)

Anonymous said...

I agree with Kim. I think the Donato's and Zach were just being chickenshits in not saying goodbye to Jessica.

I totally think that Dick and Dani's decision to burn Jess and Eric was poor. Now Dick is trying to strong arm Zach into not breaking his word that he'd go to the final three with him and Dani, like Dick and Dani didn't just the day before break an alliance with Jess and Eric. You can't have it both ways. You can't think it's ok to break alliances, then decide that others must honor their alliances to you. That's completely hypocritical and ridiculous.

For childish behavior, check out Dani's actions since losing the HOH. Jess was merely stunned by the betrayal which they continued to lie about and say was a last minute decision which we all know was total bull.

I thought Julie said last night that veto and eviction are live on Tuesday?

Also, does not really matter who Zach puts up, veto winner has all the power and Zach is the only safe one! Nominations will be more of a courtesy it seems...

Anonymous said...

Right on Britt---crazy though that the hypocrisy of D & D seems to be what got them this far.

Anonymous said...

I also find it interesting that the live vote last night had Dani as the person America wanted on the block. I guess everyone on the East coast hates Dani while all those on the West coast have elevated them to stars for some inexplicable reason.

Anonymous said...

Zach is called an ogre because of Shrek. Early on, someone commented that he looked like Shrek in his memory wall photo...I assume because of the shape of his nose. Calling him ogre is not a slam, it's a nickname.

I totally see the Shrek resemblance because my 4yr old has discovered Shrek and we've watch the first two movies about a million times in the last few weeks!!! :-)

Deanna said...

Anon 5:12... I totally don't agree. If Jessica didn't have eric pushing her, she would have done the same thing in her last HOH. All week long Jess talked that she knew she was going and it was Eric who convinced her otherwise. To play this game, you must always expect that you can leave at any time. Jessica was a spoiled brat baby who acted like a child when she was voted off, the others just followed her suit as I would have as well. Why force an uncomfortable hug? They knew she was upset & it wasn't personal...

Dick plays this game well. He forms alliances when necessary and breaks them when needed. It is the way the game is played. Why everyone puts poor lil Jess on a pedestal is beyond me. She was itching real bad to get rid of D&D last week, yet Eric "us" were in her ear and she listened to him. But if she had done that and got rid of a Donato, people would be praising her strength and bold moves. @@

I seriously doubt that Dicks West coast connections swayed the AP this year. Only the East coast voted last night in a time frame of two minutes. The Central-Mountain & West Coasts (which make up a larger part of the country) didn't even get to vote. Besides, the polls each week show Dick with a significant lead over the rest and those are a reflection of the entire picture, not just the East Coast... I too wish AP never would have happened. A totally dumb idea!

Hey, Tom...you wrote such a long letter on this post with only one period...made it hard to read. Let me send you some in case you ran out............................
What you said was right on, though.
I hate these four, but if anyone has to win it I guess I would go for Evil. He at least played the game & sparked the house & the viewers up more than anyone else did this year. But I would bet that Jameka will be voted the winner if she is up for it. If Evil wins it I would guess he would share it with Dani even though she has been a bitch to him most of the game.
I always record the show & it has been coming up as 55 min on the "run time." So they have been shorting us 5 minutes of the show each time it is on. They don't show them a lot at the end when everything is over like they used to. So I agree that this year the production of the show stinks. It also could be the players fault, too. They probably don't do anything.
This blog is way better than the show, I totally agree with who said that!

Anon 6:56pm: Thank You! I never did see what exactly was in Dick's hand as he put it in his pocket, but I didn't think it was a ball. And thus ends Ball-Gate BB8. Well, maybe not, we still don't know where that blue ball came from, although only Jameka cares at this point.

And I just have one comment about the complaints of Dani and Jess being poor sports and self-centered (I'm paraphrasing.) I just don't understand the incredibly young casting this year. It usually trends young, but this is extreme. When 44-yr-old Dick and 37-yr-old Kail are the token "old people" and everybody else is in their 20s (well, Zach is 30) you can pretty much guarantee some immaturity issues. And none of the 20-somethings were cultured, or well-traveled or...well...interesting. I want to see at least a few people I can relate to. Even survivor does a better job of casting diversity, and that's a much more physically rigorous game. Aren't there any intelligent, interesting 30-90-yr-olds out there who want to sit in a Cali house all summer for a chance to win half a mill?

Kim - 2:33 and 2:34PM: I only tried to say it was unfair (maybe I should have used the word, unfortunate) that Dick didn't get the perks of HOH because of the Fast Forward; I only meant in comparison to other weeks where he would have received what the HOH usually gets. As I said before and as Deanna tried to explain, Dick seemed to be simply bemoaning the fact that, of all weeks, he happened to win that one. Simple. I'm sure Jessica or anyone else would have felt the same had they been in his situation.

Again, Dick, Dani and Zach did not say goodbye to Jess because she made it very obvious she didn't want to say anything to them. She walked right past Zach and totally ignored him. Again, Dick and Zach were not hiding in the kitchen. They were in plain sight in the background as Jess gave second and third hugs to Eric and Jameka. It looked to me like they were respectfully giving her space as SHE displayed HER poor sportsmanship.

2:36PM - If Jessica had used her own wits (in stead of Eric's) last week, she could have (and did express the desire to do so) broken the alliance with D&D and gotten one or the other out of the house. She didn't play the game as she should have. Dick plays the game. He didn't allow the opportunity to slip by as Jessica did. Hate him as you want, but a lot of people respect his game-play. I'm still hoping somehow, that he will win.
