Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! No, I'm not Irish, but does that matter today? Zoetawny is Irish today too because she made this cute graphic for the day! I posted a lengthy report late last night, but here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Woeful Lasses and Laddies:
- Natalie fussed because "all I wanted was pizza and no one saved any for me."
- Sheila told Sharon and Joshuah that some people say she's mental. She claims that's good because people said that about Allison, too. She still goes on about how much she liked Allison.
- Sheila told Joshuah he's scary.
- Sheila talks too too much. Please make her stop. Maybe she'll lose her voice? Please?
- Again Matt repeated that Ryan is the nice guy and he's the [bleep]hole.
- Natalie worked more on Joshuah to get him to help save Matt, promising him three weeks of safety if he votes their way.
- Joshuah told Natalie that the three confirmed votes would have to go to James before he'd say anything.
- Natalie thinks that she has Adam, Sheila, and Sharon to save Matt.
- Natalie is wrong.
- Adam told Matt to stop whining about spending his birthday in sequester.
- Sheila told Ryan they have to flip the house again next week and James, Joshuah or Chelsia have to go.
- Matt told Natalie her campaigning is working against him.
- Sheila told Matt that whoever keeps him will be targeted with a vengeance.
- Joshuah has really jumped on the Chelsia/James train. He'll ride that one as long as he can.
- James and Chelsia talked about flipping the vote and keeping Matt, but decided he would come after them if they did. So, they're still on an evict Matt plan.

Jackie, Thanks for updates, I'm glad you and Zoetawny, reminded me it was St. Patricks Day, each year someone pulls a prank on me, not this year, my brother's middle name is Patrick, hopefully he'll get pranked. I love the kitten! I love collecting Irish items.. Time for strong dose of coffee with Irish creamer..

So finally,the house has some game going on. Too bad,so sad,it doesn't change anything for me. I am so over this season of BB and only watch if nothing else is on that's even a smidge better.Don't really care who wins or goes home,just wish it was over.I do have to say that watching the HOH contest,I saw that Ryan is NOT Mr. Nice Guy,at all. He was mean and nasty and said vile things while James was hanging there and I don't understand what James did to him for such anger towards James? It's the old BB house rule,when I do it,it's okay,but you do it and you're a snake.I,too,wish it could be a double,no make that a triple,eviction this week and the two plus Sheila could go to the jury house and S could talk the two guys to death OR they would tie her up and stuff her in a closet just to shut her up!

I agree with meb...at least the game is being played a bit now as compared to the beginning.

I agree with Sasha. I think a lot of the women do not like the way Matt treats Gnat.
I loved Chelsia during the HOH comp telling Matt that after what Gnat endured for him that Chelsia would kick his butt if he said anything nasty about Gnat.
The frigging Bible Study group reminded me of when I was about 8 years old and used to look through the Bible for stories of begatting and all... Nice to know that the BB boys have the maturity of 8-year-olds.
Thanks for the updates Jackie! My head is spinning from reading all that has happened since I last checked in on Friday. Although I'm not sorry to see Matt on the block, I am disappointed that James didn't live up to all that nobility he was displaying last week. Turns out he's just like all the other hampsters. So now I'm back to having no one to root for.

Sharon, it is just my opinion, but I think Matt was so angry (even if he tried to whisper it) with James because James being back made Ryan's HOH days a failure. All that game playing and discussion, all that agony and secrecy about who to put up, who to get out, the power play. And then it was all for nothing. I'd be angry, too. Someone in the house finally showed some balls and BB crushed them and then used balls as the theme of the HOH contest.
Jackie, last night when Ryan and Matt were talking one of them had a funny quote...I missed it, did you hear it? They were sort of laughing about why their team was so bad and the other team was getting all the breaks. One of them said something like' it is because we chose the worst team'. or maybe it is because our team is not smart. It was funny to me.
The hgs have no people skills. No wonder all of them could leave their lives for three months and go into the BB house. They completely miss the obvious in body language and conversations. They all act like they have never been lied to before in their lives.

For those who asked for a follow up ---I thought of you all last night as I came back from the grocery store and started making the chicken cabbage soup all over again. I told my husband to make sure to remind me to put it away that night (a completely ineffective tactic; he's never once remembered to remind me of what I am hoping to not forget...!).
Though I felt that bringing the old soup to a rolling boil for 30 minutes would have certainly made it edible, as the chicken broth and the teeny amount of chicken I put in there had already been cooked, the notes to the contrary on Jackie's infamous soup-to-nuts blog gave me too much pause. I ended up tossing it. Hence, my tale is a lot less colorful today.
And, I remembered to put it in the fridge myself, thank you. All is well in the world.
I am wondering when these nasty little monkeys are going to figure out who they want to be sitting next to on the "FINALE". To win they have to have the sequestered nasty monkeys vote.. Who would you have the best chance of beating to win. Ryan against Matt? Ryan, of course.. no nasty monkey in the sequester is going to go for Matt. Etc... Think ahead people, this is going to be a rough one.

On another note...as I watched BBAD yesterday afternoon (taped) I thought something odd. Did anyone else notice that James and Chesia went up to the HOH, carried a pot of boiling water cause James wanted to take a Bubble Bath and he loved the water really hot... The feeds took us as far as Chelsia in her thong, and then they went to the others playing hide and seek and NOT ONCE did they go back to the bath.
Now, not that I needed to see that, but doesn't that seem odd, since all they want to do is show Natalie in her altogether.
Any ideas anyone?

I hope that James doesn't overthink his plan to oust Matt. Matt can cry his eyes out, but if he, Gnat or Ryan get HOH (meaning Matt running the show again) James will fly out of that house. There has been a lot of discussion on the web about how BB is not showing them. It is very odd and only seems to apply to the one couple. There are several theories, but no one seems to know the truth. One theory is that James might be using his porn contacts to film him in action. Or maybe he has a contract with the porn people that keeps him from doing much on camera for any one else. (which imo puts porn and BB in the same ball park, if that is the case). Then there is the thought that Chelsia's family insisted by saying they would take her out of the house if BB didn't stop what was being shown. There are lots of other ideas, but it seems like they really are being not shown. Ironic since I don't know that either of those two would care. Then when you add James saying the DR told him to put up Matt, you can guess at the conspiracy theories abounding.
I do not know if James told anyone about his porn career. I think he told Chelsia something, but don't know if the gay part was mentioned.

I would like to believe that Chelsia doesn't know about James and his gay porn career, because if she does and she is still getting (somewhat, that we are privy to seeing) nasty with him, she is absolutely nuts! Don't these people think about all the STD's they can pick up in this place, let alone how anyone will view this trash when they leave the house. I can't help feeling somewhat bad for Natalie, she has to suffer from enormous low self esteem to be allowing herself to be belittled like this. I actually like Matt at one time, but after what he has done to her and has no feelings for her to boot, I say toss him and toss him quick! Go Ryan!!!!

How would you explain why BB doesn't show James/Chelsia in their "private" moments? I'm thinking after "Daddy" saw what Chelsia was doing from the get go he threatened BB to sue them if they showed it on TV. I recall a phone call where James said to Chelsia he promised her father something about treating her with respect??? Too far back to remember.
At any rate, you have to think it odd they showed nothing of the bath scene with J/C???
UM, I saw footage Meb, think it's what you're talking about.
James and Chelisa ate pretzels and talked in the HOH room while waiting for the tub to fill, then both disrobed fully and got in-- no pretense of getting changed under towels and blankets anymore for this group. You wonder, do they just not care anymore or have they forgotten that all footage can be used, not just when they are live? And that we all are watching all the time not just on BBAD?
Seems not though, cuz C remembered to cover her nips (as did Nat anytime she's topless... maybe that's something CBS told them to do. Just doesn't make sense that they do this while showing full frontal at the same time)..
What ensues is some bathroom talk that is so gross I don't know how two people who are wanting to have or ARE having sex bring it up and still get romantic. But they are sitting apart in bubbles most of the time... then come together and kiss for a sec, then pull apart, then she kinda sits on him facing him and they kiss for 20 seconds, then she pushes off. He then stands up and has hishat rack pointing at her. Impressively so. They giggle, life goes on.
If that is the same vid, maybe that's why they didn't show it. The bathroom talk made the throbbing manhood (to coin a Fabio type phrase) look far less offenseive to censors IMO.
The cameras have had a habit since the rumored raising hell call from Chelsia's Dad that BB needed to tone it down with her on camera doing anything controversial OR ELSE, so they always cut away to 4 cams of the grass growing or everyone sleeping while you hear C/J's bedsprings squeak.... so who knows, but in this rare case, they did show the bath.

Zoetawny-loved the kitten. It reminded me of Roofus...by the way Jackie, how is Roofus? I hope he made it through the winter months. The Gnat graphic was great! Now that Gnat is into playing hide n seek, maybe you could do a graphic of Gnat holding Mr. Roger's hand...won't you be my friend?
I could see Matt dressed up as a leprechaun. He is a mischievous elf! Hopefully he will find his treasure, Gnat while she hides. I think he is about to find the end of his rainbow soon, without the pot of gold. He is out of there. If he is not, each HG better be using extra deodorant, as there is going to be a whole lot of sweating going on.

We received snow here during the night in South Dakota. It rained first then snowed, so it is the wet and heavy stuff. At least the winds are calm for once. We have a St. Patrick's Day parade here each year. We generally have rain with the winds blowing at top speed. It should make things interesting for the painting of the shamrock. I am ready for spring to be here.

meb, Have you been to hamsterwatch? Jackie has the link on her home page. In their forum, they discuss the same questions you brought up, and even mention that bath (I think) and the camera pulling away. Maybe two bath scenes? As to how a family could pull a hg, I read (and that means it is pure rumor) that the family said they would 'invent' a family emergency. I am guessing one reason they wouldn't do that is Chelsia herself wants to stay. But once again, in that long ago mention James made of 'promising her father', (I heard that too) it shows they have had info from DR and maybe even outside people. Not the show any of us signed on to watch. I am not niave enough not to expect guidance from BB, and scripted things going on. But, this year seems to be over the top in that way as well as many others. Would it bother any of us here or BB viewers in general if the DR told James to change his plan and back door Matt? Does it change our enjoyment? Sue

It does bother me to think that BB is influencing - or shall I say pressuring - the hampsters to do things their way. It kind of defeats the entire purpose of the show, don't ya think? I really don't care if Matt gets evicted, but I would prefer it to be James' idea! I fondly remember the BB days of old when every one entered the house on an even playing field and had to depend on their wits, cunning, charm, strength, etc. to make it to the end.
I have to say that this is the very first time since the first season of Big Brother that I didn't have a favorite....while there are some that I like better than others...I actually am enjoying just watching how things pan out rather than being worried about my favorite hamsters....although I will say this I giggled a little when I found out the James had took Shiela off and replaced her with Matt.....while I don't like Sheila much...the move had a little poetic justice.

I did have the ultrasound on Friday.Had a brand new girl doing it,so she wouldn't tell me a thing!I just heard from the doctor,his office says I have to come in and see him this Thursday. The waiting is what's driving me nutso!I can't feel anything whatsoever anymore in my neck,so hoping it just took a long time for the infection to go away and now it has! That's my story and I'm sticking to it(until Thursday that is).

I believe BB suggests things, and I have no problem with that... I don't believe they can insist that the HOH put a particular hg up. James was probably thrilled to hear BB suggest he go ahead and put Matt up, that that's what BB is all about... expect the unexpected. Plus, James did say he was going to keep his word just like everyone else in the house. I think he did.
Sue you said that you think that BB has been over the top this year in "advising" the hg's. Well, with these hg's they have to be over the top.
Just a note: Putting someone on the block as HOH is different than replacing someone who has come off the block. He didn't nominate Matt, he replaced Sheila... I may be splitting hairs here, but it makes me feel better. IMO

Whether or not he won, I think Dick being so popular probably led her in that "give 'em what they want direction" and it backfired.I think this season tanked so badly in the first two weeks, worsened by the legal action re: Adam ( followed by N word press, Josh's partying habits and James's resume). And maybe Chelsia's dad calling threatening to sue everyone and everything?
Seems Grodener's theme backfired. I think James saying "Crap my pants" on live TV to Mlle. Julie -- which is not so bad IMO -- broke the camels back with the now hyper sensitive CBS folks and the whip was cracked. Grodener had to make some changes not only to save her job (can it be saved?) but the whole BB franchise.
I definitely think some of the twists they've come up with were not pre-planned but in response to controlling the fires. It would be nice it they indeed read the boards and did hear how much we long time viewers weren't happy.
Sharon -- So glad to hear a report. I asked after you on Friday in the comments but not sure you saw it. The waiting would be driving me crazy too. Not sure how many of those folks have been on the other end of things.

Sharon, I made chicken soup yesterday and am heating it up now for supper. All because of you. I had chicken in the refrig., thought I would grill it for sandwiches and thought...wait..chicken soup sounds good. lol I didn't put in cabbage, I'll try that next time, though.
It has been a good discussion today. That is what I miss this season. With lousy hgs, it can be difficult to care enough to discuss the show.
I don't care if Matt goes (or Ryan), I think both their departures are over due. I don't think James did anything wrong in putting Matt in the vacancy after veto. As someone said, those verbal agreements aren't worth the paper they are written on...esp when made in the BB house. Any hg who believes differently isn't playing the game.
About the DR direction. I expect it to be similar to what the Springer show producers did on that backstage show that was on for a while. What I wonder though, is how far is it going? And is it only James & Chelsia who are getting directions? Because, what if the DR told Natalie that Matt really loves her, and she should just ignore his saying he doesn't? What if they suggest she cozy up to him? What if the DR convinced Sheila to go the Ryan and tell him to put up James? Or maybe they told Ryan to put up James. See what I mean? How far does it go. If the DR is running the show, then they are all just pawns, aren't they.
Sharon, I think it is a good story. I would stick with it also. Doctors like to be extra careful by seeing you. You are doing the right thing.

OK, returning to our regular programming...I understand that many of you are upset about the DR influencing the show and how far does CBS/AG go? Well, it is their show and there are no rules against guiding it in the direction they want it to go. I repeat myself in saying that many of us take the name "reality show" literally. I've always thought using the word "reality" was a misnomer. Yes, there are no written scripts for the players/actors. In fact, the players aren't actors and don't get paid what an actor would but I think that's where the reality connotation stops. I know it doesn't sound "fair" to most people, but hey, they had to give this genre a name, didn't they?

Isn't that the truth?! They do know it's BB and that lying IS part of the game. Interestingly, that when they lie, it's just a game, but if they are the one lied to, then it's a totally different story. I can't believe all the crying that Matt has been doing in that house. He's such a bully/wimp. He can dish it out but he can't take it. I hope he goes for sure this week. What will be even better is when Matt finds out what we, BB fans, think of him.
The Bible class yesterday was such a farce. They acted like they were reading a child's fairytale book. I don't think any of them got the true meaning or lessons from it. I think cbs puts bibles in the house just like hotels keep them in the night stands.
