So You Think You Can Dance Finale Bulletin
Sigh. My favorite for the win came in second -- Brandon. Janine won the season. Sniffle.
I was actually quite surprised by the win. She was not one of the frontrunners for most of the season but really surged in popularity at the end.
I hope moving to the fall schedule won't end up killing that show. BB and SYTYCD are my two summer passions and I'm thankful that they benefit from the lower ratings expectations of the summer. (Remember what happened to BB during the strike. An 8 in prime time during the regular year will get you canceled!)
I'm excited to think that it'll be on again soon, but afraid they might kill the show by trying to turn it into something it's not. And, Kara instead of Paula? Idol might be unwatchable!!!
Disclaimer: I am completely dissatisfied with this result and therefore still pissy about it.
I thought hands down Kayla was the most talented dancer this season. I was heartbroken to realize a few weeks ago that she had no chance of winning. After that I completely supported Brandon for the win and am utterly amazed at the outcome. He was sensational in every genre, with every partner and in all his solos. After watching all season long my opinion is that Jeanine does not know the meaning of the word synchronization. The judges would fall all over themselves to praise her while her partner (anyone who wasn't Philip) was outdancing her.
I supported Kayla as well, but deep down thought that Brandon was the best dancer of all. I truly thought Kayla was better than Evan and better than Janine, although Janine was great!
There was some real talent out there this season. I hope that next season we aren't disappointed with those selected to compete.
Although I loved Jeanine too, I really loved Brandon and thought he deserved the win. The boy was flawless throughout the entire season and his solos were the best I've seen since Danny from a couple of seasons ago. Well we all know that often times the best dancer does not win. Likeability (sp?) seems to trump dancing every time and Jeanine was very likeable.

You're quite right which is why I was sort of surprised that if anyone was going to beat Brandon it wasn't Evan. That boy had nothing but likeability since his dancing was very limited.
I actually would like to see his brother in the fall competition. Since his brother choreographs for the 2 of them, I think he'd have much better solos. Evan's lacked imagination. Plus, I always cheer for the bald guy! :)
I guess I was the only one not surprised that Jeannine won. Truthfully, I think Brandon deserved to win, however, since a black male won last season, and a black female the season before, I kind of figured Jeannine would get it...come one, I am sure they can fix the votes the way they want it to turn out...I don't see any accounting firms showing up to give any credibility to the outcome. All four dancers were amazing in their own way. Kayla will definitely have a wonderful career in front of her. Mya loved her as did all the choreographers. I just think she rubbed America the wrong way for some reason. She was dancing for her life every week!!! I hope that the show isn't making a mistake joining the fall line-up...It is one of summer's guilty pleasures.

Oh, Jackie, I am with you...
Sniffle.
I sooo wanted Brandon to win!!!
But I did enjoy the top four dancers, and believe they will all have successful dance careers if they choose to follow that path.
Brandon was my favorite from the beginning, and I just hated the way that Mia treated him at first. At least she admitted that she was wrong...
Another season, and another America's Favorite Dancer that was not my pick! Seems to be a trend. :)
I hate the bb bullies. As soon as they feel safe they go on the attack. They are immature and basically forgot to develop their brains.

Just my disgruntled two cents.

Why "ugg"? Is there nothing I can say that doesn't make you wince?
Much love,
