OrkMommy...I was shocked that Jeff put Dani up. I thought he was dead set on getting the floaters out, and wanted a serious player to go up against. Don't worry, I'm upset at him for flipping too, not just at Shelly for doing it tonight (or, for it being revealed tonight). What I don't get is her tears.

I didn't say they didn't play at all. I didn't even call them floaters, although I have referred to them as "active floaters". I only meant that they've been worshipped by almost the entire house the entire summer. They've never really been in jeopardy until this week.

Everyone talks about big moves... Shelly made the biggest move so far this season! Kudos to her!! And no, I'm not pro-Shelly. As long as Rachel doesn't win, I don't care who does!!
Years of either alcohol and drug abuse have left Shelly "fragile" hence the waterworks.

I agree with OrkMommy. I think Shelly realized she had no chance of F2 with JJ and that it has been looking like Adam is closer with them with she is and she could even have been 4th in that alliance.
She is playing to win and stepping up her game and making big moves. I will give her that. And I must give props to K despite her being annoying on feeds, for good game play on getting a strong player and for winning her second HOH. And holy cow, Porsche won a comp finally.
I like that alliances are now evened out..3 vs 3 as Adam is clearly with Jordan and Rachel and Shelly is with Porsche and Kalia.
I think it is very exciting now. ..2 strongest players out, anyone;s game. Will we see the Rachel of old winning a lot of comps and playing the game hard, will Porsche win more , will Shelly win a comp or what will Adam do if anything at all.

Flipping didn't bother me, its her constant lies while in DR, its okay to lie within game,
its part of BB, however believing your own lies, I'd question who's running my billboard company, pretending they're part owner!

I'm right there with you OrkMommy, as long as Rachel doesn't win. I do believe Shelly's tears were real, she truely likes J&J, probably better than anyone else in the house, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.....haven't you ever had to fire someone you really liked? Its just a game.
Obviously Shelly was always there for the money...kind of funny now looking back at how she acted like she wasn't and that her friendship with J & J was the end all, be all! Bet Josie is shaking her head!!

I'm with you again, ORK. Shelly's move was a good one for her. It's really on J/J that they let it happen. Shelly got caught before playing both sides and she spent all this week with Dani. What was the surprise? Plus, as I've said before, you gotta figure the numbers. An alliance of 5 won't survive past the round of 7 at the latest because whomever is #5 has better odds with the other side.
Especially with Dani gone, Shelly becomes alpha dog with Kalia and Porsche. The game is on.
No big surprise that all the sailors from the Miss Chevious are upset that Jeff got booted. But I would expect a few of the women to be a little mad at the way he treated Jordan on the way out.

But Shelly seems wacky as you said in her DR moments.

I am not sure Shelly's flip will result in her winning any money. I think Kalia and Porsche will throw her to the wolves when it is convenient for them.
Jordan, Rachel and Adam will never trust her again.
Unless Shelly starts winning some Comps she is going to be the odd man out. She will be expendable to all the rest of the house.
IMO Shelly is truly becoming a stick of beef jerky, what with the smoking, the moisture form the tears and the constant flipping, aggghhhh to be the moral compass of the BB House is such a tough job.
Eric Jordan was crying bitterly and Jeff took the time to shake everyone else's hand and then gave her a quick hug and peck and told her to stay strong and just kept walking out the door.
I know he was mad. I know he probably didn't want her to get him crying. But I think he should have sucked it up for her sake. She was soooo broken up.
Brendon, whom everyone hates, just waved at everyone else and spent a minute trying to comfort Rachel. That would seem a better exit to me. I also thought Brendon was more gracious in his eviction speech and with Julie outside.
Jeff can accuse Porsche of just waking up, but obviously Shelly's been verrrry busy all summer. And this was not Kalia's first win either.

Just remember, when people (me included) were so happy that Keesha, Renny, Dan and Memphis came out of DE in power, we woke up and found out the Jerry had won HoH!
It can happen and I'm rooting on Team Jordan and Rachel all the way. The feeds are great right now... lots of fighting and Kalia and Porsche gloating. Shelly crying, and she should be. I love it!

As I said, I know WHY Jeff acted the way he did. But I think it is very telling. Without time to prepare what you see is his gut instinct and, frankly, it was a little self-absorbed and selfish.
Hi Joe!! I think this is the first time I've responded to one of your posts, though I always enjoy your point of view.
I actually wasn't surprised that J/J didn't have a lovey-dovey goodbye scene. Jeff and Jordan are not a big PDA (Public Displays of Affection) couple, they never have been. They aren't like Brenchel at all, and I think also that Jeff was so mad at all that transpired he may not have thought clearly and/or opted to wait until they are together again.
I will have to check out his interview later...I'm very interested in what he has to say!
Re: Shelly: she doesn't win comps, so she won't be going to the final two on her own merits, I think. If anyone takes her to the final two it will be because everyone knows she flipped and no one will trust her, thus voting for the other finalist. That may actually be her best option; I still think she's playing for 2nd place.

As for Shelly. You may all be right and Kalia and Porsche will throw her out...but they won't do it until final 3 if they get that far. They need her, there's no reason for them to throw her out any earlier. That still gets Shelly farther than J/J might in the 5 person alliance. And even if she could go final 3 both ways, would you rather be playing against Porsche and Kalia for a chance at the final 2 or J/J. And who would you rather be sitting next to.
It is a very good move for Shelly. Obvioiusly in part because it worked. Had Jeff won HOH tonight it would have backfired. But all big moves are like that. If Jeff doesn't go after Dani, he might still be there.
You can dislike Shelly personally. But criticism of the strategy is just sour grapes. IMHO

I find it interesting how this game has slowly evolved from being a simple social experiment/popularity to it being almost strictly about game play and winning.

Monty, I know but read my other posts. I've known guys like Jeff my whole life. They were on every sports team I've ever been on or watched. He's really not a good loser and he's self-absorbed.
I'm not really surprised everyone wants to excuse him. But you guys are Jordan fans, too. Did you SEE her? How could he NOT comfort her. She had no chance with J/J. She may not have the best chance now (although who do you think does?)but she does have a chance.
As for Shelly's "lying DR" remember that we only see what BB edits and that BB asks them leading questions in the DR to try and tell the story they want to tell.
I don't think BAAD is ever a rerun is it? ON Thursdays it comes on an hour late because of the Left Coast show @ 9pm so they should have a new HOH by then??

Witt, so many fights already tonight, and that all started immediately when the feeds came back up. I would have never in a million years thought that Rachel would be the voice of reason in a fight. She literally dragged Jordan out of the purple room and through the living room away from Shelly. Jordan has a lot of fight in her. Remember her going up against Russell? This was girl on girl, and just the same.
Thanks Joe. I know you have very reasonable conclusions about Jeff, but I think they have a good relationship and that didn't matter to Jordan at all. She would have still been just as PO'd and just as sad.

I do not want a veteran winning. The newbies need to hunker down and start playing to win. I liked this episode. It's the first time I've seen Kalia, Porsche, and Shelly playing to win.
Shelly may be a snake; and she is not my favorite (Dani was), but she's finally realizing if she goes with the veterans, she CANNOT win. They have no intention of taking any newbies to the final. The veterans were only true to the newbies to get their votes. When it came right down to it, not one veteran was ever going to take a newbie with them to the final. I am glad the newbies made a big play, finally. I wish it had been done before. If the newbies had stayed together instead of siding with all the veterans, we wouldn't consider them coasters. They woke up - Let the games begin!
Adam is still star struck. If he believes the veterans are going take him to the final, he's been drinking the most kool aide.

I wasn't criticizing Shelly's strategy at all and I don't think it was sour grapes either. Just making the observation that Kalia & Porsche will have no problem throwing to her away and that the other side won't trust her.
I think she had to flip sooner or later and she was successful in breaking up the J/J duo. That is a BIG move in my book.
She has to count on Kalia and Porsche but I doubt they feel as much allegiance to her as she does to them.
If Porsche and Shelly were on the block and Kalia won POV which one would Kalia be most likely to save. Same thing if it were Kalia and Shelly on the block and Porsche won POV. I can't see Kalia and Porsche turning on each other to save Shelly.
It would be interesting to see which of the 2 Shelly would save if they were both on the block and she had POV.

Shelly is screwed and she lost what could have been trust had she stuck to the alliance. If you're bottom of the totem pole in either alliance, why switch it up at the end? Just wondering why people think it was so smart for Shelly to flip? If she hadn't went around running her mouth and stirring up trouble, she might have got lucky and won something and then be in a position to make a move. As it is, she just pissed a whole lot of people off (some who genuinely liked her/outside of game) and she will have the hardest time decompressing from 'the game'. Good job - Shelly!

hey. I got rear-ended by a little old lady that didnt see traffic stopped in front of her. 35mph and WHAM, I saw stars. CTs showed nothing broken, just very shaken-up and very sore. Bedrest for a few days & good drugs.
Car survived, too. Little old lady is broken a bit, but not critically.

The Miss Chevious was fun for the last couple of days. He's still in jury and can win the fan favorite so I'm hoping we keep it afloat. :)
Well, when my pool girl Danielle sunk tonight, I was going to ask if I could swim on over to the Jeff float with the rest of you.....but sorry to say that sunk, too.
Other than Jordan, I really don't like any of the remaining house guests. But I think I even like Rachel better than Shelley. Yeah, she needed to flip for her own game, but she's been flipping all season & none of the dummies seemed to realize it. There's just something about her just irritates me.
Ya know I saw on T.V. Guide this was the highest rated season of BB in four yrs.
Was really surprised as I personally felt this season with the vets back was crappy.
But I'll ride it out till the end like I do ever season.

So glad you are ok. Do take it easy for a few days. Sometimes it takes a couple of days before you realize you are sore and really hurting.
just an observation....I too get caught up in the "who do I like" better game...who is playing fair, who is being real, but the bottom line is, it's a game! If Jeff is gone and Kalia is still there, it's because she played the better game through whatever means necessary....if everyone told the truth and played nice, wouldnt be much of a show to watch lol
I can't believe I'm saying this but go team Rachel and Jordan. I was worried when it was confirmed to be double eviction that Jeff's time would be up. If only he had seen the shoe that he knocked out he would have beaten Porsche and been safe from eviction. But that's the game I suppose.
I have to say I am more disgusted with Shelly than I ever have been with any other HG's since I started watching. I don't think she had to flip sides because if she was on the side with Jeff, Jordan, and Rachel they would have had the stronger numbers and competitors and would have been the last one Kalia or Porsche would target because they would get rid of Jeff and Rachel first. She's not gonna win on the side of Kalia or Porsche either because of everything she's done. I don't know that I would have as much problem if she didn't believe her own lies. Lie to the houseguests, okay fine. But don't lie in the DR saying that you never said something or struck up a deal with someone. Admit to the viewers you got caught in one and will just have to try to rectify the situation. She is teaching her daughter one really good lesson though, money is the root of all evil and for the right amount people will do what you least expect.
btw my WV was cryne. As in Shelly needs to stop cryne because I have no sympathy's for her.

Well, for sure the party is pretty well over for the vets now.
Porsche just won HOH, so you KNOW they will put Rachel and Jordan on the block.
It wouldn't surprised me that whichever one is evicted, the other self-evicts. Especially if it's Rachel out first... and you know they'll want to take her out first!
What the heck, they are so distraught now that they both might decide to self-evict. Jordan only went to BB because Jeff convinced her (said she didn't really want to go). Rachel just wants to be with Brendon now.
I think that Jeff didn't spend as much time saying goodbye to Jordan because 1 - they are not as Public displaying as Brenchel and 2 - He was TICKED lets face it anyone would be in his shoes maybe not as much at the others as he might be at himself for not winning and 3 - the one I think most applies is that he didn't want to get lovey dovey with Jordan about leaving and have her LOSE it and become a weeping, boo-hooing, pity party like Rachel (she does everytime things don't go her way). He was probably trying to help try to keep her somewhat centered so she can win HOH and take Kalia or Shelley out (which I hope she does).
If Adam, Rachel, or Jordan wins HOH then I'm certain that either Kalia or Shelley will go since Porsche is not as much a threat as either of those two.... But we will only see as time goes....

Sympathy situation has reversed again. When Jeff was evicted, Rachel was trying to comfort Jordan. She cried up until the comp.
Now that Porsche is HOH, Rachel is sobbing and Jordan has reached sanity again. She's become realistic about the situation. Says they will both be voted out soon, so they should just stick together and not talk to anyone else. Just have fun by themselves and ignore the rest.
At this point, the others are only going to want to continue to torment (especially Rachel), so there's no real reason for them to spend time with the other 3 girls. Adam is about the only one ok, but you know he'll be suspect and punished if he spends much time with Jordan and Rachel.
Shelley, can you spell hypocrite? The mom card....again. How come she's all about integrity and loyalty until now, now it's just a game. Sorry grinch face, I hope you don't win a dime.

Yuck, Shelly makes me ill. I don't mind so much her flipping, but after watching her talk for hours and hours and hours and HOURS to Jordan about how much she loves loves loves her and Jeff and how their friendship means more to her than any amount of money... what a backstabbing bitch.

Joe in NY, get over your hatred of Jeff, if he had grabbed Jordan and held her for 2 minutes you would have found something wrong with that. I think he was reacting to what had just happened to him was his reason for doing what he did, if you've been watching, he and Jordan show very little public display of affection, unlike Brenchal, it's pretty clear to most people how he feels about Jordan.
I don't care what anyone says i love Jordan and I feel so bad for her. I hope she somehow wins the whole thing again and if not her then Rachel. Rachel is being supernice to Jordan who is very upset more about Shelly than Jeff. I think she knows that Jeff will be there for her later and that's why she's not that upset about him leaving.
The game should have started off with all new contestants, it was stacked against the new ones from the first, the old ones clung to gether to get rid of the ones who hadnt a clue who was who and how to get involved. by the time they were finding their way it was too late the "oldies" were on top of it all. glad to see the "oldies" get taken down. Jackie ..you said it RIGHT!! Jeff did think he was untouchable and full of it. He was so powertrip this time pretty much like Rachel minus the whining. He thought that he was play d'game with honesty and dignity *oh plzz* He only won 1HOH and backdoored Dani. Everyone is equal player here with different kind of strategis (incl. adam's way) but the goal is to stay in the house 'till the end and win the votes. I used to like Jeff and Jordan, but not this year..his ego written all over his face. I agreed with OKRmommy, shelly did make a great move and it doesn't matter who will win as long as not Rachel or the vets.
