Big Brother 15: Julie Chen addresses Aaryn's racism on The Talk
Other than the fact that Helen is Korean, not Chinese, Julie calls it right. It's a shame that the others involved in the slurs aren't mentioned. Aaryn is the worst, but far from the only one.

I can only hope that if BB survives for another season, that there will be a clause/rule in the contract the HGs have to be on the show, that will address the use of raciest comments, racial slurs, and derogatory sexist remarks. Consequence for violation of this rule.... immediate eviction!
Disagree. It's that simple. I want to see all kinds in the house--and I don't want to like some of them.
How boring to have everyone the same. These few ignorant houseguests do, in fact, represent a part of the general public...and it will work against them in the end.
I watched The Talk today, I was highly annoyed. They concentrated on what Aaryn said while ignoring the slurs by the other house guests. I am not defending Aaryn, she is vile, but to just concentrate on what she said while ignoring the comments of others was not right. All the hosts of The Talk were so over the board with their praise of CBS for showing the comments, it was sickening. It took CBS a week to decide to show Aaryn's slurs and Julie Chen even admitted that they only showed the comments on air once they because part of the strategy of other house guest.
Suppressing what people feel doesn't change how they feel. Cast the show and air whatever is said or happens. Talking about it and bringing it to the light is the way to hopefully change attitudes. censorship is not the way to change
I am very glad to see at least some of this ugliness addressed. CBS got to a point where they couldn't ignore it - when it makes the NY Times, they can't sweep it under the rug. It's still being minimized, though - as others here have said, they didn't mention any of the other contestants who have been saying these things.
Julie said that the Asian slurs hurt her the most, which I totally understand. In the same way, I'm Jewish, and I am upset that the anti-Semitic remarks made in the house weren't even included in the discussion.

You are right....Jeremy is one of the most annoying players to ever play the game. I cannot stand that guy.
