Let's imagine it's Ian rocking on the hammock |
Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Casting Catastrophes:
- I just don't know about this season.
- I have a lot of "what ifs" in my head.
- What if Christmas didn't break her foot?
- What if Paul hadn't returned to the game and received protection in the first few weeks?
- What if Cameron had stayed in it?
- What if they doled out alcohol to this bunch as in all previous seasons?
- What if casting had nixed putting someone like Raven in there who claims to be so sickly, thus getting more attention to her "cause" and working on the sympathy of cast and fans? *That is, until we all realized that, while she does have some health issues, much of it is embellished.
- What if Raven hadn't been cast? Would Matt actually play the game or just sit around in that nasty orange shirt with his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth?
- Oh, well. As people who lose would say ... "it is what it is."
- Of course, I don't think that the production people realized that everybody would fall for and follow Paul this far into the season!
- He's been playing the game and his fellow hamsters every single minute.
- And they're practically blinded by the light. Or something like that.
- Anyway ... to the day and evening yesterday ...
- It seemed like a replay of the day before with the exception of not having a totally messed up house from the veto comp.
- Paul still worked his anti-Kevin agenda.
- Matt and Raven are sure it's a backdoor plan to get Kevin out and they are indeed just pawns.
- They did have the yard yesterday.
- Josh, Christmas, Paul, Alex and Jason sat around trash-talking Raven, Matt, Cody and Mark.
- And, to a lesser extent (at that time), Kevin.
- Kevin and Matt are Have Nots this week as they were the first two out of the HoH comp.
- Kevin fixed up his bed and claims it's now the most comfortable bed in the house.
- Jason says that Kevin takes his food to be all rebellious and act the villain like he's going to cheat at Have Not, then just throws out the food.
- In her long list of worldly deeds, Raven claims to have held a real toucan and a sloth.
- Well, she's held Matt. We know the sloth part is true.
- Heehee.
- Paul and Christmas look forward to the arrival of the dollar store games and arts and crafts to keep away the boredom.
- Josh thinks that Kevin is indeed a father, but thinks his kids are younger than Kevin is claiming. (I doubt anyone could keep up those intricate "lies" about colleges and places the kids are living ...!)
- Alex still thinks Kevin is all a fake, a hoax.
- Raven supposedly was in a doctor's office during 9/11 and choreographed a dance tribute to the day. Um. She was about five years old!
- To her credit, I guess she could have done it later.
- I guess.
- Matt and Raven had a big cinnamon and milk throwing fight in the kitchen. Raven claims it was all Matt's fault. Yep, he's her Door Matt and she steps all over him.
- Later Matt and Raven talked about staging the fake fight and how everyone believed it was real.
- Hmm.
- Paul is still working the couples angle in the guise of getting Kevin out. He told Raven that if Jason doesn't use the veto, Josh and Christmas will be angry. He also told her that Josh and Christmas think Alex and Jason are on a power trip.
- Hey, this way Paul is covered in all cases!
- Later, he discussed the pros and cons of Matt versus Raven out with Jason and Alex. He thinks if they get Matt out, Raven will be easy to control.
- I don't know. Raven has come closer to winning comps than Matt!
- So ... in today's veto meeting, what will Jason do?
- I say he will keep the nominations the same.
- And, it's more likely that Matt will go over Raven this week.
- After all, that's what Paul wants.
Josh calls her Creepy Christmas |

Ok, hopefully this isn't a controversial statement, but someone pointed this out to me and I don't know if they have their facts wrong or not. Jason is one of my favorites by far, but someone pointed out that based on his age, and what we know about how long he's been married and dating Holly, and that Holly was his best friends sister....I think the math adds up to a 24 yr old Jason dating (or more) his best friends 16 yr old sister!? If that's true, and I don't know if the math is correct, that's kinda creepy.
The way Raven is always upset about not getting enough DR/TV time, I'm thinking that was probably the reason for their staged fight. Or previewing her acting ability. @@ In any case, it was a pretty stupid exhibition.
I don't understand why they would want to get out Matt first...he's shown zero capability in any of the comps. Whereas, Raven has come close to winning a couple of times. Plus she's one heck of a lot more annoying.
Sharon - Paul is pushing the Matt out first. In his plan, Raven needs a guy to turn to and he will be that guy. Oh, not that he wants her, per se. He just wants to use her as he's used most of them all season ... so he can win it all.
Jackie, yeah Paul is the one pushing every agenda. But as annoying as she is, you'd think he would want her gone. LOL
Like you, I find it amazing that Josh is the one starting to see through Paul.
Too bad he doesn't see that Paul's actions are not for Josh's benefit.
I think Paul will try to go for Josh as the final two with him. I believe he thinks that Josh with him will guarantees he (Paul) wins the jury vote. At this time, he thinks Josh is extremely loyal. He probably dismisses Raven and Matt as nothing except jury votes. He's probably concerned that Alex, Jason, Christmas and Kevin just might win that first place over him. But Josh? I could be all wrong with my theory, but there it is.
There's a 5 year age difference between Jason & Holly; Jason turned 38 years old in July & Holly is 33.
Anon, there's a 5 year age difference between Jason & Holly; Jason turned 38 years old in July & Holly is 33.
Pondering the fact that Josh is catching on...
If he makes it to F2 with Paul and realizes how it all went down, will Josh be smart enough play to that for the Jury?
Josh could let Jury know that they were all (including himself) played and used by Paul.
Of course, Paul will be bragging about all his plans, scenarios, and how he worked them.
Will the jury think, "gee, Paul really is a great player" and give him their votes?
Or will they become yet another Bitter Jury and turn on Paul?
Even though Paul has played the best game, I would love to see his face if he came in 2nd again. :)))
On the other hand, what if Jason catches on that he's in danger, continues to win HOH and/or Veto, and takes out Paul? Before F3. hahahaha
Alecia164, thank you for the age clarification.
I removed my post above because your's was much clearer regarding Jason/Holly's ages.
Paul is right to target Matt. I think his strategy has been to throw every comp, volunteer as a pawn as long as he's only up against a house enemy, generally stay out of everyone's way,and coast to the end. He did win the veto in week 7
Alecia.....Thanks for the clarification! So that makes him a 21 yr old dating his best friends 16 yr old sister. Not as bad...and I'm not really judging, but.....no wonder he said he's not friends with Holly's brother anymore....lol!
I like Jason and his wife seems from the video's to be very normal. They have been married I think 12 years + and thats nice. They waited to have a family. All sounds very good to me.
Her relationship with her brother does not have to mean it has anything to do with Jason.
Judging???????????
Or 24 and 19
I would hate to see Kevin win AFP. In any other season, he would be called a floater and floaters shouldn't win AFP. The problem is that most of the HG's are too stupid to see what is going on. If Cody had ANY social game, he could've been a competitor. But, blindsiding his own group is a big no-no. Christmas probably would have been a great competitor but she broke her foot. I don't see Jason, (door)Matt, Raven, Kevin, or Mark the crier as a leader. Maybe Alex. But this season would have been the worst w/o Paul. If any of these HG's had half a brain, surely by now they would've figured out Paul's plan. But, they seem to figure that if they stick with him they'll be safe. I know people like to hate on Paul, but try to picture this season without him. If you think it's bad now, think about it without him.
Matt is definitely more loyal and closed mouth than Raven, so if Paul was really smart he would keep Matt.
Jackie, I laughed throughout this whole post! That being said.....Please send Raven home. Please send Raven home. Please send Raven home.
The Veto wasn't used and Raven and Matt are ticked off!
Hey Jackie - how are you feeling? I hope better. Thank you for allowing us to come here. I know with you not feeling well, getting all the information out is interrupting your sleep.
I agree with Jackie. I believe Paul is going to take Josh to the final 2. He's done all of Paul's dirty work. He's made fun of and irritated all who are in the Jury. Cody and Elena dislike him quite a bit. Cody has already said, if Paul gets to the end, his vote goes to Paul.
Jason and Kevin are too likable. Alex and Christmas are sort of playing the game. Matt is just - well - there; and Raven, well Paul could beat her, too. No one in the house really likes her, so she would be good to take to the end, also.
The only way someone else gets to the end with Paul is if they win the last HOH and veto. Otherwise, Paul will take Josh. However, since they're all up Paul's arse, they will take him to the F2. They need to do something soon. If they do not make a bigger play, Paul will win this game.
I am so hoping they leave Kevin alone. But he he has to pick up his game. I really like him, but I don't know if he can win this game. Yes, he's tried to friend everyone, but he's also gone back to tell every one what was said. He has not been loyal to anyone in the jury. The others do not realize how loyal he's been to them. But, the only way he can move forward is by winning an HOH and/or veto. He has not made any huge moves. None of them have. Paul is the only one who has been the puppeteer.
I know it probably will not happen, but I would so like someone else to win, but only if they make a big move.
I agree with Jackie, too, about Josh being Paul's Victoria. AND that it will be a bitter jury. These people are filled with such vitriol, I can't see that softening in Jury. Every ONE of them thinks they are F2.
On the subject of Jason. IMO, even if it's true he was dating Holly when she was 16, they married when she was legal and have been married for 12 years. They waited to have children and are very happy. People do not stay together much any more, so with them being married for 12 years, I think that's wonderful.
1:51 - Paul sics Josh on Kevin :(
I should say - that is MY opinion of what happened, based on Jokers. I'm glad I didn't see it.
To my mind, Kevin hasn't been a floater as normally described in BB... floating/moving from one power to another. I don't know if Kevin can't win a comp, or if he's throwing them, but at 56 yrs old, and knowing BB's physical comps are tough (even on the young), I suspect it's that he can't.
At Kevin's age, he's of the "my word is my bond" era, making it difficult for him to grasp that his so-called allies/friends might not be equally loyal. All this time, he's been outwardly friendly with everyone (except Ratt), but at the same time, he's remained loyal to Jason, Alex and Paul (the group that agreed to be the F4), but they aren't loyal to him. It will be a shock to Alex/Jason when they realize Paul isn't loyal to them either!
Then there's Jason, who has a hard time lying to anyone, especially Kevin. But Jason is also really sick of being pushed around, especially by Alex. IMO, it shows with him not buckling to their demands of putting Kevin up. I get the feeling Alex is normally (in real life) demanding and used to telling people to jump...and them asking 'how high.'
yikes - then XXXmas joined in. Ridiculous stuff. Sad, too. I wish/hope Jason stepped in to help.
Kevin is definitely feeling the ostracized now. He's smart enough that he's been able to 'read' how people have changed towards him. They aren't even looking at him anymore, and he's particularly noticed Christmas' attitude change towards him. All made even more obvious today.
Jason is friends and talks to Kevin, in private. For sure, they are the two most normal people in that house! Unfortunately, as soon as Kevin is gone from the room, Jason plays along with all the Kevin bashing. I'd like to think Jason's switches are only to protect himself... in the attempt to keep their laser eyes off himself.
Once again, Josh follows Paul's instructions to fight with Kevin. Of course, he had to work Josh up by telling him Kevin said Josh was dumb. But Josh bringing Kevin's family into the mess was out of line. Kevin will tolerate against himself, but he won't tolerate his family brought into the bashing.
Production needs to get a grip on Paul's actions before someone really gets hurt.
Granted, people are responsible for their own actions, but Paul needling people to fight is NOT cool.
How different would this season be without Paul? Paul has them all yoked up like a team of oxen, which he is driving down the road cracking a whip over their heads, and encouraging them to drop one down every manhole they pass. They are afraid to get out of line for fear someone will tell Paul, and I suspect they are a little afraid of Production helping Paul, too. If Paul weren't there, I think we'd have seen more alliances, more shifting within alliances, more conniving, more game-playing.
In almost every case where the mob attacked someone, it was Paul pointing out the target and cracking the whip, and who wants to chance that. Stay in that yoke, and hope that maybe the drover will stumble.
Without Paul, I suspect Christmas, Alex, and maybe Jessica would have been strong opposing forces, all going against the guys. That was squashed at the beginning, when Paul came in, got three weeks safety, everyone had to grovel to (pledge allegiance to) Paul to get his friendship bracelet, and then everyone saw what happened to Cody when he dared to oppose Paul. "Crack!" Hear that whip?
True Silk: this from Jokers:
3:41. Paul-When the time comes, we gotta blow up on him again. Alex-There's gonna be a 2nd round, dont worry! Raven-Can I do it!
*smh*
Didn't BB call them ALL out in the beginning about NOT bullying like this? Where did that go?
PS - I liked your yoked oxen/manhole analogy. Wish it weren't so true.
OMG, even when Josh & Kevin "made-up", Paul plans to have it happen all over again?
(sorry - I just came home from work and am seeing this, and it's cringe-worthy)
Meanwhile, XXXmas gleefully joins in the bashing. Sinister, especially when she & Kevin HAD such a good house-friendship.
I'm so upset that they are now ganging up on Kevin. Christmas, Josh, and Paul are absolutely VILE. Does anyone know what happened after Kevin launched himself at Josh? I really hope those three get what's coming to them. Hang in there Kevin, you're the only sane one.
And did anyone else hear what Jason said about Kevin's wife and kids?!?!!!! What the hell? What is wrong with these people? What happened to my favorite show. This season is disgusting.
T-Town, I was sick when i read on Jokers what Jason said he would do to Kevin's wife and kids. What has taken over this house??
Why do they all gang up on Kevin?? Why does BB allow this? I've seen some low-life behavior in past seasons but I have never seen the passionate hate for other houseguests.
I am living for the day someone back doors Paul.....it could be done, it should be done but will it be done.
Stupid Hamsters
I read what Jason said about Kevin's family on jokers. Just shocking and disgusting. Is this him in real life?? Mystifying. This group is terrible. All Raven does is curse and think she is so tough@@. Please vote her out.
I am dreaming the same dream...
On the plus side Kevin moved up 2 spots in popularity on Jokers. These idiots keep it up and Kev might wind up AFP.
they've thrown out the slop AND hidden the instructions so Kevin can't make any. I hope DR gives him new instructions.
Vile, yes.
I completely agree with you Silk about the house without Paul.
Plus I wouldn't say Paul lost last season to a real "Leader". He lost because the jury disliked him! IMO He over-leads... to his downfall
I really hate the Bullying. I so disrespect BB for continuing to allow Paul to guide the show in that direction! That shouldn't be tolerated at all!
CBS now lives for this kind of controversy.
It brings VIEWERS to a show they might not normally watch.
When these people go back and watch the shows and read the threads, I hope they are all shocked and ashamed of themselves. Not only for their behavior, but allowing themselves to be led to those actions. Note: Christmas doesn't seem so worried about how her following will view her anymore...
There are excuses for Jason making the kind of remark he did about Kevin's wife/daughters. They were apparently trying to think of the worst things possible to say to Kevin. Then they all laughed and said "crossed the line." It will be to Jason's complete and utter shame that he will have to live with that kind of 'gem' after the show is over and he has to face his wife/family.
* meant to say... there are NO excuses for Jason...
Maybe...just maybe? Can we think that Jason said that about Kevin to lure XX-Paul in to a false sense of security?
Maybe he was doing what he always has - going along to get along?
They sure bought it, though, you know?
I'm keeping an open mind for now, re Jason's comment about Kevin.
Petals, I am trying to keep an open mind, but those comments did "cross the line" on so many levels.
I understand it's a game, but every word they say is out there. I couldn't do Big Brother. It's why I watch and love this game. This season has gotten to me though.
I think he said it BECAUSE it crossed the line. He is - at this moment - helping Kevin make slop.
Jason knows how evil Paul, XXXmas & Josh can be when they 'turn'; I think he is afraid and may have said that mean thing to make them believe that he is on their side.
It was an outrageous statement anyway; no one thinks it will ever happen.
(makes cody look like a Boy Scout, tho, doesn't it? LOL)
Yes, I do believe he's trying to appease the Paul Camp and they were trying to "cross the line" but his success with that speaks volumes. I don't think he realizes just how much. No, I don't think anyone thinks it would actually happen, just shocking.

P.S.
Everyone remember Becky? Sweet Becky with the Snoopy pics? She lives in TX and has reported that she is SAFE from the ravages of Harvey. Just wanted to let you guys know. (her husband died recently, so she has been absent from the blog)
Thanks for posting that, Petals. I miss her here. Glad she is safe. Unbelievable what's going g in there!
As some of you may know there's nothing I like better than cooking up a new conspiracy theory : It's become apparent to me that the show gets more and more scripted every year. I've personally caught several DR sessions this year that were obviously staged with production's help.
We've all wondered for weeks how Paul seems to get away with everything and no one seems to question him. Myself and some others have simply chalked it up to good game play vs a house full of idiots. Lately though as we get closer to the end it just seems weird that no one ever speaks about an ulterior plan. I'm starting to wonder if some of these "players" aren't being paid above and beyond the usual stipend to follow CBS orders.
Today is the 28th day of August. Why bring it up? The show premiered on June 28th. Feed subscriptions are set to be renewed very soon depending on when you signed up. Ratings haven't been as good as in past years.Yet lo and behold what do we get today? A 100% manufactured Brouhaha where Kevin almost cracks Josh. Coincidence or scripted? You be the judge.
Thanks Petals. I'm glad to know Becky is safe.
So awful and such a tragedy going on there, and more headed their way. :(
It will take YEARS to recover from this damage.
Re Jason's remark. Yes, I think it was him trying to be "in" with the "in" crowd, and I do believe they were all joking around, trying to make up the worst/nastiest thing possible. Well, he did it... crossed that line. And then they all laughed. No way do I believe Jason has it in him to actually do such a deed. It was obviously a joke... a very bad joke.
It's just unfortunate that these people don't 'think' before speaking. Everything is watched and reported, and joking around or not, we've seen that these kinds of remarks can cause problems in their personal lives, and ruin their business lives.
I am glad that Becky is safe. Matt got a penalty vote for eating regular food and not slop. He then used hot water for a shower instead of cold water. He is taunting production and eating more regular food. He plans on sleeping with Raven and not in the have not room. Matt wants to earn 30 penalty votes so that their is no way the house flips and keeps him instead of Raven.
What does Big Brother do if they end up giving so many penalty votes that the houseguests don't matter with the live vote? Would they just state no voting because matt would have earned to many penalty votes? Could they evict matt before Thursday and make Jason put up a replacement nominee?
Matt has already said he doesn't care, and he's directly said that he's going to try for the most Penalty Votes in BB history. Knowing this is his intention, would BB decide to ignore his flagrant abuses?
Realistically, we've never seen a HGs beg for penalty votes. Most are there to WIN, so this is an anomaly. So how will Production handle this kind of insurrection? If they ignore it, will this become something HGs choose to use in future shows?
Wil takes on Raven:
https://youtu.be/WtdP2cgaJHc
Alex is so hateful, I use to like her, even hoped she would win, but she is the one who dumped Kevin's slop, demands no one help him with making new slop, jumps all over Kevin for talking about slop, and then keeps on pushing Josh to jump on Kevin again. I am done with her! I wish Kevin wins the next HOH and shows her no mercy! Jason is a big baby, all bark no bite, he is hiding in the house to avoid Raven and Matt!
Looks like Paul's plan for Kevin is "goat."
This has been the wildest season we've seen in a long time, and I'm loving it. These people fight like they're going to kill each other and then play pool together and hang out in the hot tub. I've said it before, but I'll say it again... they're all WHACK!
My opinion on the ones left:
Paul: obvi the puppet master (but I think his scheming is going to catch up with him)
Christmas: the other puppet master and just as mean and nasty with her baiting when it comes to Josh
Josh: he's the first one in there to get a clue as to what Paul is doing and might just pull the trigger on a Paul nom and eviction (I say)
Alex: did really like her in the middle of the game. Now I think she just mean. A mean girl like Jessica was but nastier here lately
Kevin: not an innocent in this game. He made the first hinky vote for Paul so I'm not sure why he's so ticked that someone tried to pin one on him (think about it Kevin and put two and two together... ehh =PAUL)
Jason: my new fav for the win, but I don't think he'll make it to final 3
Raven: habitual liar and I'm just over her
Matt: I loved watching his voice climb an octave as he ranted on Jason today saying Jason should Man Up and don't be a *bleep* while all the while sounding like a *bleep*
Kevin and Jason are the only two that I'm even remotely interested in these days. Still loving this season though. :)))
I was so happy to hear Becky was okay. I miss her here, but I do not think she'll be back for a bit. She lost the love of her life. My heart hurts so badly for her.
Monty, I agree with you. They're all whacked. If one of them would go after Paul and get him out. They will deserve the win. Josh and Jason are catching on to what he's doing. I'm hoping one of them take him out. If not, Paul deserves to win.
Kevin reminds me of my father, without the Boston accent. There were 7 of us, 4 of us girls. He wasn't a stay at home dad, but he was just as handsome and a 'big guy on the block.' LOL
The best part of this season is coming here on the blog. However, since I've been working just about every Wed and TH night, I just don't care that much. Of course, I'm interested in who wins, but I like watching along with everyone; and I can't right now. Good thing is, this TH will be the last TH, for awhile, that I'll miss the live eviction.
It will be interesting to see how much truth is in Raven. And, it will be interesting to see all their faces to find out the truth in some of the others.
