Laughter ... for now |
Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Miserable Mice:
- Nominations went down last night.
- As I said it would be -- Elena and Jason are nominated with Matt being the third nominee due to losing the Temptation Challenge.
- Christmas accused Mark of all sorts of double agent activity and then Josh joined in. Mark was accused of both working with Cody and turning against Cody at the same time.
- Of course, we know he was trying to play both sides and, at this time, still is to an extent.
- Cody eavesdropped on the whole argument.
- There were no fisticuffs.
- I know Josh has mentioned he's under warning about physical fighting. I would assume Cody probably is and probably Mark, too.
- Geez, all they need in there is that Hantz bro who was booted for violence or that guy (Scott?) who threw the chair and got ousted. Or perhaps Justin Sebik of knife and BB2 fame!
- I think this season has the record for the number of dudes under warnings for physical altercations or the threats thereof.
- Mark denied knowing that Paul would be backdoored in Week One.
- No one knew. That's what triggered off the whole thing against Cody in the first place. He was supposed to be part of the huge alliance, made the decision to backdoor one of the alliance (Paul) and didn't tell anyone, including Jessica.
- We know no one knew. But they don't know.
- Josh tried to get Cody to admit to Mark working with him. Cody told him he was over talking game.
- Josh kept at Cody trying to get information on Mark.
- Cody told him he has no friends in the house.
- Kevin finally rescued Cody from the questioning.
- There were no pots and pans nor any circus music.
- Then Paul asked Cody if he had said Mark was loyal to him (Paul) before he (Cody) left before. Cody said as far as he knew, Mark never betrayed Paul. He didn't want to discuss it anymore.
- Mark has safety this week due to winning the Temptation Comp. So, I'm not sure what the urgency is about what he's said or done before.
- Josh is thinking Cody has checked out. Paul isn't so sure -- veto has yet to be played.
- Mark tried to defend himself to Alex and Jason.
- Oh, give it a rest, hamsters!
- Paul and Alex are upset because Mark didn't trust them and saved himself with the veto last week.
- Really? Really?
- I think saving oneself with the veto should be an act without question.
- Paul and Alex also talked about how they could work better with Christmas if she wasn't as close as she is with Kevin. They want, after Cody is gone, to make sure that Christmas and Kevin don't make it much further in the game.
- Oh my.
- Now, neither seem to realize that Christmas has her own willing puppy dog in Josh. But I'm not sure how effective a weapon he could be.
- They trashtalked Kevin, both agreeing he has a mean streak and he's weird.
- Hmm.
- Well, he is weird. That's something I like about him. And, they're ALL weird this season, so ...!
- Rumors are getting around that Kevin has a deal with Cody. Well, they knew about the deal before the chaos. All of a sudden it's twisted and Kevin alone is in it with Cody? Nope! The actual deal was for Paul and Alex to work with Cody, along with Kevin. All bets are off on that one.
- Yet it's being used as ammunition against Kevin.
- Meanwhile, Cody went into cleaning mode and ripped apart the kitchen cleaning and putting all back together again.
- I'm surprised he didn't give Jessica his cap when she left.
- Everyone is now treating Cody okay -- no harassing.
- Yet he knows he's outside looking in.
- He's mixing a bit more.
- It won't help him.
- Paul is thinking it will be a double eviction week. We know he's right.
- Cody is the (backdoor) target this week. Next, Paul wants Mark out.
- I would SO prefer they target people who annoy me as a feed watcher -- Elena or Raven. Paul can be super annoying, too -- but watching him work the people saves him from my list. Elena and Raven, to me, are worthless in the game.
- Jason told Paul and Alex that he thinks Kevin is acting weird because he's worried about the perception from outside the house -- apparently specifically concerning his relationship with Christmas.
- Now, Christmas is all over Kevin an awful lot.
- Kevin doesn't stop it, either.
- Hmm. Methinks Kevin has a crush growing. And, it shouldn't be.
- I don't think Christmas would ever be interested in him outside the house.
- But the world, including his family, see what's happening inside the house.
- Oy.
- Oh noes! KEVIN is now crying! I think his BB and real life worlds are crashing in on him.
- It does get his "friends" who were in the midst of trashtalking him a bit ago back in his camp a bit, though.
- In other news, everyone was all compliments to Cody for cleaning the kitchen so well. He said he was bored and they sent his girlfriend home -- he had to do something.
- Now if he could just clean the rest of the house!
- And come over here and clean my apartment!
- Paul told Cody he's willing to talk to him on a personal level, not game talk.
- Cody reacted okay. But he knows that Paul will never be a friend or confidante.
- Elena is wondering who might play veto and will they pull her off the block.
- Yep, it's all about her.

I'm so over all of them! Hate this season!

Agreed. I can't find anyone to root for this season. They are all a bunch of non playing followers. Paul is the only one playing, and as I have mentioned before, had he not come in the game, this season may have been saved. With him in it, it's boring to watch, as no one other than Cody will stand up to him, and Cody is gone if he doesn't pull out a Veto win. The Days of having more than one 'playing mind' in the game are gone. Allison Grodner really needs to go, and her cast of worthless minions. Sadly, as long as Les Moonves is in charge at CBS, it won't happen, since Julie and Grodner are friends. The continued casting of eye-candy airheads has lowered the bar so low, Grodner will need a jack hammer next season, which I'm sure she will do. After BB18, I didn't think I could see a worst cast, but Grodner outdid herself again!
Carried over from previous post:
For those interested I did a little search. "Entry of the Gladiators" by Fucik was published in 1897 and is Public Domain. Meaning Josh can sing it without copyright infringement as much as he wants :P
In many ways, Alex and Paul are the biggest bullies in the House. The whole thing with trying to get Mark to not use the veto was a simple exercise in Power and Control. Mark didn't cave, so he's public enemy #2. Public Enemy #1 is Cody because he also failed to yield to the Master Twins.
It was funny to hear Paul telling Cody, "it's not personal". The whole reason Paul has been after Cody and, by extension, Jessica is because Cody nominated Paul in WEEK ONE. Seems it was a bit personal for Paul, doesn't it?
I kind of agree with Fred. In recent years, the "House Vote" has gotten out of hand. And this year it reached it's absolute worst extreme with the "House against Jody"...all...frigging...summer.
I excuse Paul and Alex because they are more or less running the show. So the idea of "unity" works great if you are at the top of the food chain. The other folks really don't have a clue. I'm rather surprised that none of them have yet realized they are at the bottom of the Giant Gang of Nine. On Survivor, that's what always creates the flips: someone realizes they are 7 of 7, so they create a new 4 or 5 where they are higher up.
It's rather embarrassing for these silly hamsters that NONE OF THEM ever considered creating a smaller group of 5 or so including Jody to get them further in the game. Flipping the script really requires outsiders. If you are at the bottom of the NINE, you are likely to be in the minority when the NINE split because the power relationships above you still exist. It would be much easier to convince the outsiders (Cody and Mark?) to join you because they are looking up at you, not down from the top.
Given that casting is responsible for all of these reality shows these days, I wonder why the Survivor folks seem to play much more strategically. Survivor casts do seem to be slightly older than BB casts. Maybe there's just enough actual fan/players in the mix???
Cody is adorable. AND HE CAME TO PLAY. He DID play, and was attacked. So was Jessica.
Paul is deplorable (wasn't HIS edict that NO ONE speak to Cody, ever?)
Paul is grooming Elena to be his Victoria for the F2. He wanted Raven, but her illness may win her more votes from the jury.
Kevin needs to drop the Paul in his future... Cody would have trusted working with him had Paul not been part of the group! If Kevin, Christmas, Mark, Cody and MAYBE Jason teamed up fast they could flip the house!
I'm sure Kevin is lonely and real life and BB can confuse emotions at times. He needs to remember why he came into the BB house and start playing it full force! He also needs to remember that his family is watching 24/7. He's a good guy
This group seems more interested in being on TV than in providing entertainment and playing to win. Sure, Paul has a plan; and at one point I thought Christmas, Alex and was hoping Matt was playing a game. I think Jessica might have been a player if she hadn't fallen so hard into her showmance.
In all the years of watching BB, I've never seen anything like this season of group-think.
A gang of nitwits all thinking they aren't the #9 of 9. That other guy/girl is the lowest on Paul's totem pole. It's absolutely crazy that they all (except Cody and Mark) either think Paul is their bestie, or they are kissing his butt to try and ensure their place in his "trust." @@
So, if Cody wins Veto, he would most likely pull Elena down...his pseudo ally. Which means Alex (oops, Paul), will decide Raven should "offer" herself up again. How can any of these people think they are #1 or even #2 with Paul if they are constantly being told they need to throw themselves on their own swords and "take one for the team"???? Insanity.
Well, scratch that last thought...Cody was NOT picked for Veto comp.
He's gone for sure.
The only hope for Cody now is if Mark wins Veto and chooses not to use the Veto.
That's not likely with Elena up there..
Oh man.... Cody is dead unless someone messes up and gets on Paul's immediate hit list! Or someone starts realizing taking Cody to the end would guarantee they win BB! Elena spends so much time hanging on Paul and stroking his hair.... you'd think that would open Mark's eyes! This is going to be a boring non game play week! Ugh....
Why does Elena always sit with her mouth open? Is it just me or does she look like a fish?
Elena is a mouth-breathing, pseudo-intellectual tramp. Period. (imo)
T-Town Chick,
Nope, you aren't the only one to notice.
Petals, "mouth breathing"... boy is that spot-on! LOL
Personally, I believe Elena thinks the fish-lips is her 'sexy' look.
No clue why Mark/Josh (and God knows who else) think she's hot.
Oh, and I still think everything she's doing is an audition for a porn 'career.'
Cody has NEVER said his goal was to make it to jury! Now that Mark has TC and the POV is gone for Cody... it wouldn't surprise me if Cody just walks away after POV competition... skipping jury altogether!
agree Judi! Cody wanted to win! He is a FAN of the show, not a recruit. I wish it had been a better experience for him.
Last night, Ramses & Janelle were together, posted a cute Twit-Vid, screaming "WE LOVE YOU JESSICA!"
yay
"Paul's spending a lot of time in the BA tending to his nose; dabbing it with a cotton ball and dipping it into a bowl."
Thought for the day...
Little Napoleon has a Pinocchio complex?
He's trying to keep his nose from growing?
bwhahaha Sharon! It's his stupid nose ring. He is so desperate to be cool, and thinks a nose ring is part of a 'cool' package. LOL
Bless his teeny, desperate heart
Does anybody in this house have a 'cogent' strategy besides Paul? Doing Pauls' bidding or doing nothing does not qualify as a cogent strategy. It seemed all of the sheeple's strategy of late was to get Jody out (and listen to Paul). Very weak cast!
What would production do if Cody self evicted before live eviction? They would be short a jury member. Would they cancel the double eviction? Would they bring back the jury buyback?
I have always wondered what Big Brother would do if a have not decided to eat regular food anyway? If they knew they were getting evicted anyway and the penalty is a penalty vote. Could they just ignore the have not room and slop and the cold showers?
Would Big Brother take away money from their stipend?
I'm sure they would be breaking the BB contract and lose money if they self evicted
Audrey did, Glenn
Glenn asks burning questions!
All the current evictees have been to the outside world now, so jury buy-back has to be an impossibility at this point. Personally, I'd love to have Cody 'walk' just to have BB scramble... their penalty for bringing Paul back! AS for walking out before Jury though, surely the walker's stipend would be penalized somehow.
BB has to do something to keep control of the house, but Production's rules-enforcement has been dismal (at best) for several seasons now. There's supposed to be a Penalty for things like HNs sneaking "other" food, but we've all seen HN food-cheats... and there's been no real BB retribution.
I think Jen from S8 was the first and only house guest ever to get a penalty nom/vote other than Audrey. I can't remember what they did with her.
Monty,
I googled BB-8, Jen's penalty and came up with this:
https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2007/08/big-brother-8-jen_evicted/
Basically, she got a penalty vote for cheating on slop, but there was a lot more that happened than just fudging on food.
I think Cody feels defeated. I wish he had played differently during week 1. He's a fan of the game. He's watched it longer than Paul. He came on too strong. Then every one turned to Paul.
It's like I said before. Usually, in BB, you have two distinct groups. Here, you only have one huge group who goes after players who want to stray. It's perfect high school.
I'd hate to see Cody go. He wanted to play for more than just the jury. It sucks. These people aren't even thinking of a double eviction this week. They are so clueless.
I also laughed when I heard Raven say that getting Cody out of the house was a big move. LOL It will have only taken them 8 weeks. They thought they got him a few weeks ago, but he walked right back in.
There will be definite scrambling once he's gone because one of their own will have to go. Who's the most expendable? Elena? Kevin? or Mark? LOL
Ditto Penny. I've always liked Cody & was really rooting for him. I love the fans, not the recruits. Maybe he will come back next season?
Well, will wonders ever cease. Matt won VETO.
Elena took $5k ... according to Josh, she's selfish like that! LOL
Mark got a vacation in Colorado for 2 (big whoop).
Someone won the annual Outback dinner (don't know who).
Paul/Christmas going to be tied to each other for punishment.
And....Cody is laughing and joking with PAUL!!!!!
So what will happen now? Will Matt be forced to remove Jason or Elena so they can put up Cody? This should be interesting.
Matt will do whatever he's told to do, of course.
The real question is whether Paul/Alex decide this is a good opportunity to backdoor someone else. Kevin? Sounds like Paul was laying the groundwork for a Kevin ouster. It's likely still a Cody backdoor, I would think, but it is a perfect opportunity for them to start "Phase II", whatever they think that might be.
Pseudo-HOH Paul has deemed that Matt should take down Jason, and Cody will go OTB and out.
There's literally no chance that Cody won't go....but if he was to have any chance at all, it's sitting next to Elena. She just won $5k and they are all upset/mad at her for taking it, apparently from Alex. Like they wouldn't have either...if they'd had the chance! @@
Kevin better start watching his back now too. They already had 'don't trust him' vibes (thanks to Paul), but then he had to go and tell Paul about things Cody told Kevin in confidence. That only adds to the lack of trust.
from Jokers:
Paul says he caught Kevin in bathroom chatting with Cody in BR and that Dent sees it too.
Really? Paul was talking to him last night AND this morning, what does that mean? NO ONE can talk to Cody except Paul?
*smh* disgusting. I'll be glad when Cody is away from these people; they aren't good enough to share a house with him (IMO)
'DoorMatt' will do whatever Paul tells him to do.
^5 Ed!!! LMAO
Hopefully it's good riddance to Cody. He ruined the season with his threats and the tension he caused in the house.
AGREED @ DOLORES AND FRANK. I just caught up binging last week's episodes. Now I'm waiting for veto and I'm sure I know the outcome already and after 18 seasons, I am out for good. When the HGs were casting their votes against Jessica, I was thinking how much I dislike each of them. That whole "Go ask Jessica if she can spell evicted" and then Josh turns himself into the victim, crying in the HOH room, getting consoled.... No. Just No. Season started out strong, but IMO, the show has commit suicide.

Uncartie - LOL, you are hilarous!!!!
Petals,Now that you finished Ozarks you have to watch Bloodlines.
The black sheep of the family returns to the Florida Keys for a family event. The series begins with narration by John Rayburn: "Sometimes you know something’s coming. You can feel it. In the air. In your gut. And you don’t sleep at night. The voice in your head is telling you that something is going to go terribly wrong and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. That’s how I felt when my brother came home."
Jackie has a new thread up.
I do not think Cody was the one who set the pace for BB19. His reign was barely a week. What set the pace were what the house guests did after they found out that Paul was safe from being put on the block. Yes, Cody was nasty, he handled it the wrong way; however, what followed thereafter, was/is ridiculous.
The house guests chose to continue the tension with their childish threats and banter. It's easy to blame just Cody, but he's not the only one to blame. I really think it's cool that people are on his side. He's a favorite with fans. The only reason someone else will move up is because, more than likely, Cody will leave this coming week. Then they'll move on to someone else to bully and terrorize. It won't change with Cody out of the house.
I do think Cody will be happier out of the house. What I will like is when they have the second eviction right away, and the person they send packing will have to live in the same house as Cody. Too funny.
When Cody was out of the house everyone got along better, even Jessica. He came back and it all started again.
Artie - I watched Bloodlines; I liked it a little, but it didn't grab me like Ozark. I think it's because I hate beachy, hot, tropical anything. Bloodlines always made me feel like I had shower, and it prevented me from enjoying it. Plus, Sissy's part was so diminished, I was disappointed.
Ozark is set in my 'home' state (but filmed in Georgia) and paints Missourians as inbred outlaws. LOL I can't say I haven't met any of those types in my life (in NJ, AL AND Missouri)
Have you watched Ozark?
Or Sneaky Pete?
Sure they got a long better with themselves. They got him out. Once he came back in, it angered them, so they went back to their tunnel vision to get him out again. Once Cody leaves, they'll go after someone else; and drive them crazy.
Roglol @ what Sharon said good one about Pinocchiopaulnapoleon 😂
I googled Cody. He was in the Marines for 4 years and also AirForce. He was deployed to Iraq and Afghan 3 times. He has won medals. My thoughts about him are changing. I just wish the others knew this. I want Mark out. Hollywood needs Elena ASAP.
