Orwell for the win!
I'm having Blogger issues -- it won't let me upload all the screen caps I took from yesterday and last night. Grr. I had figured out good captions for them and all! If it works later, you'll get an all screen caps update.
Meanwhile, here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Tools and Fools:
- Paul gave Alex a long story about how he had to not use the veto or blow his own game.
- She's not happy about it, not at all.
- She knows that they will take her out over Kevin.
- She realizes that she got got and by Paul.
- She gave us a long talk in the yard before BB shut down the yard to prep it for the next comp.
- Grr. Blogger is really giving me issues today! I tried switching browsers, but it did no good.
- BB gave them the makings for an ice cream shake party including a blender and party hats.
- Kevin calls sprinkles "jimmies."
- I call them sprinkles.
- I'm just going to get this posted before Blogger completely conks out on me.
- More later!

Jimmies is a Boston regional term! That's what l call them too!
I've actually seen them called jimmies here in NJ, too. But they will always be sprinkles to me!
Anyone from Massachusetts knows they are jimmies, always and forever. :-)
Jimmies is definitely a South Jersey thing too. :)
Just boggles my mind how so many of these houseguests who "knew the game" so well obviously didn't. Yes, Paul played the best game out of them, with his brainwashing and intimidation, but I would love to see ANYONE win over him, because he played such a dirty game, and encited so much bullying.
Cynicalblonde
I agree with Anonymous Cynicalblond! ANYONE BUT PAUL. Not sure why Alex truly dislikes Alex... because Jason and Kevin were close? Because he is older and shuffles his slippers (pity her parent who are probably close to his age)? Because he is likable and tells funny and interesting stories? OR maybe just because she is a mean spirited and hearted girl?
Blows me away that she taken to reading the Bible while using FOUL language and dropping F bombs the whole time!
AND I forget which hamster she jumped on and cursed out just because they had been put OTB and were reading the Bible! She flipped out on them for reading the Bible! It's amazing how being put OTB how fast they turn to the Bible! She owes that person an apology!
Alex knows she should have listened to Jason when he tried to tell her not to trust Paul... she shut down Jason's warnings. Shut him down cold and treated HIM like he was stupid! And, who was it who said those same words to Jason!?! Kevin!!!
Kevin, the one she hates so much! If she and Jason had paid attention to what Kevin was saying, they might have made a great team!
IF, IF, IF...... Only!
Oooops proof read Judi!
"Not sure why Alex truly dislikes KEVIN". Is what I meant to say! Dahhhhh
too bad so sad Alex, like my kids say, lol.
I have to disagree with Cynicalblonde and Judi Sweeney-
It is no one else's fault but each houseguest who allowed Paul to get this far.
Paul has played the game best this season. We may not like his style of play but by far
he has played the best game.
Paul has played a sloppy Derrick game.
He looked ahead and made sure to take out any player he saw as a danger.
It all comes down to The next HOH if Paul will make final three. Paul has sad repeatedly that he wants this hoh.
If he somehow doesn't win the HOH and is on the block without winning POV he has it covered to stay unless Josh wins POV and votes him out.
I suspect he will have Kevin and Christmas throw HOH to him this week.
I agree with Cynicalblonde and Judi. Paul is by far the worst. I hope I never have to see his face again after this season...which of course I have quit watching. Its painful to say the least. I hope Karma is in full swing for him. I love watching BB and if this is what BB has to offer.....no thanks. Thanks CBS for handing this season to him on a platter.
I do agree Paul has played the best game and deserves the win, however, it would still be very pleasing to me to watch him get second place again. It would definitely make up for this whole season.
So, is this the week that the feeds go down so they can tape Wednesday's eviction tomorrow? I always get so confused at the end and the fact that it seems like they are just sitting in there waiting for next Wednesday and the finale and nothing else really happening.
Chacha, I agree with you by going strictly by game play Paul should win AND yes, it is each of their own fault that they let him run the show. Yes, I don't like or respect his bullying and violent style encouragement (as EvelDick put it). But, I keep reminding myself that this IS a social type of reality show. With that being said, I also remind myself as to why Nicole (instead of Paul) won and beat him out of $450,000... A BITTER jury! Paul definitely out played Nicole in the BB game... But, SHE won due to a bitter jury. In a real society, many times the person who plays the best game doesn't always win!
I don't see how Derrick played similarly. Derrick didn't draw any bitterness toward himself and he definitely didn't bully/intimidate others to do his work. They both did have a way of getting people to trust them... So, maybe there. But, that's just me!
It's a toss up... A jury that's respectful of the GAME or a jury that DISRESPECTS the WAY Paul played the game and PURPOSELY votes against him (and votes for anyone else) because of that... Just like they did last time and once again he comes in 2nd place... Losing another $450,000!
I wish they would show more of the jury happenings! It probably is more interesting in the jury house (all their discussions) than the BB house at this point! LOL...
Not sure if Alex will have as much influence on Jason as she previously did. Jason has had enough time in the jury house to be set in his thinking for himself. Plus, remember Alex did tell Jason that if it came to it, she would choose to go with Paul over him! That has a lot of sting to it and he was very bitter when he walked out that door. Jason walked out the door like Cody did... No talking and no hugs. It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out with the jury! Respect, "Friendship", or Bitterness!?!
Chacha you hit it straight on the head. Paul is sitting pretty right now even if he doesn't win HOH or POV. Paul has played the best game this year, easily. Just because we don't like it, doesn't mean its not true. Hoping Josh can pull it off or Kevin pulls of a miracle win and votes Paul off for threatening him so much.
On another note, I just binged watch Game of Thrones and OMG, why you guys didn't tell my how great it is, lol.
I don't think Alex will have any influence on Jason at all, after all in her good bye message to him she was almost smiling because he got "got".
Chauncey, I LOVE Game of Thrones. I'm in the process of watching every season over again. I'm picking up things I didn't notice the first time around. I am so sad next year is the final season.
I've just binge watched Outlander. That is good, also. It won't replace GOT, but it is good.
Okay, now with Paul. I have never liked Paul; however, he is the only one playing the game. We may not like Paul's game play, but he has manipulated the majority of the HGs. He has told them when to jump and how high.
HOWEVER, Paul's success has been because these so-called fans of the game, believed they could not make it to the F2 without him. I still believe there is NO way all of these HGs are that stupid. I believe production has had a lot of influence in this game.
I do not like this season at all. I only like a few of these HGs. I don't like the bullying. I don't like Paul's style of play; however, he has played the game. Unless Josh takes him out at the F3, Paul should win the game.
I think Paul feels he needs to get Josh out next, but I'm not sure if that is in his best interest. I think the more time Josh has in the jury house the worse it will be for Paul. Josh has been on the inside of every decision Paul has made and he can tell them everything. That may be the one thing to bring Paul down. I don't think he is even considering that. Of course, the people in the jury may be too stupid to listen/believe Josh. I just don't know.
Best outcome for me is Paul takes Kevin to final 2 and Kevin wins. I think that would be worse than getting beat by Josh or Xmas even.
With Josh in Jury, he and Alex will for sure figure it all out. At least I hope so.
These little hamsters are more than a few quarts low...but here's hoping. Anything and Anyway for Paul to be a looooooser...I am happy for.
Paul evicting Josh and then Josh going to jury and turning them all against Paul would be poetic justice, lmao.
I don't know if Paul has played the best game but I sure do believe that he's the only one that played the game at all. Josh, Christmas, Kevin, Alex and Jason for that matter all were content to sit back and do Paul's bidding. I agree that this season has been full of the worst there is in people. I just want it over and done with. They can keep Celebrity Big Brother - I have no interest in that at all. As for next summer's BB, I guess it's a wait and see game. Honestly, could they find worse people than what was in there this summer?
BTW - thanks Jackie. I love reading your updates - so much better than any other site.
Nickelpeed: So glad you finally found Outlander. Please binge seasons one and two. This show is amazing!
As far as the game is concerned, I sometimes try to imagine what this season would've been like if Paul had not been in the house. Christmas may have been a strong competitor, but broke her foot early in the game. If Cody had had any kind of social game, he could've gone all the way, but he never spoke to his alliance about his intentions and then after that they couldn't trust him. Jessica was a mean girl from the beginning and I don't think that would've changed. I am sorry that Cameron went out so fast since he was such a major BB fan. And it blows my mind that Josh is the only one that has figured out what Paul is doing. From the beginning, he was a major crier and didn't seem that smart. Alex and Jason were strong competitors, but I don't think they would have formed good enough alliances. So, without Paul in the game leading them, it might've been really boring season. Now, at least things are happening.
Nickel,Most,if not all of HG's are stupid. None of them ever put forth a plan of their own. Jason is perhaps the dumbest. I remember him waxing on about how smart Alex is and how she can read people and pick up on the slightest little things. She's anything but that and the DE episode proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt when she nominated Raven & Kevin.
Judi,Why does Alex hate Kevin? One word....Paul! Paul plants the seeds of animosity and contempt. The idiots then swallow the bait and run with it. Kevin tried to give Cody comfort and may have tried to make a deal with him. Kevin tried to comfort Mark after a pots and pans attack. Kev was nice to Raven as she left. Paul then claims Kevin is "sketchy". If Paul told these idiots the sky is falling they'd all look up.
I'd give a pass to Xmas and Kevin. I can see why she would feel it necessary to attach herself to Paul since she's injured and can't play in all the comps. Remember,Paul's schtick is always "I'll protect you". Kevin knows what's up but he's hamstrung by his inability to win comps and the difference in age that hampers him vs the younger ones he's had to go along. I think he'll play for himself after this week as he must know he's next to go.
I don't really compare Paul's game with Derrick's, I think it is a much meaner version of Andy's game. Paul even admitted that he had to make sure he was in on every conversation so that none of them compared notes. What Josh said to Paul on last nights show to get out should have happened a lot more often.
Without the 3 weeks of safety in the beginning, he never could have done it to the extent he did. It should have been 1 week if any at all.
So many what if's and could have been's in this and all seasons of BB. It seemed that the majority did not like Andy's game and win, just as I see this one being the same if Paul wins. But it is what it is now with the slight glimmer of hope that Paul will not make it to the final 2. Not likely, but that is all that is left to change up this dismal season.
Really agree with Nickelpeed, Paul is being a master puppetiere and the rest are just sheep. I think it will be a crack-up when Paul takes Kevin to a final-two, and loses to him. How ironic. I also agree that Josh in jury with blow up Paul's game. But he is such a "meatball" himself. They are all so awful...and here we are, watching. Go figure.
Alex will be the last evictee to get any real time in the jury house. The final 4 goes to a hotel until the jury round table and the one out at 3 just goes off stage and right back out for jury questioning. None of them have much opportunity to campaign for anyone or change any minds.
Monty, Alex will go Wednesday, possibly taped eviction, and someone will also go on Thursday. Why would they let Alex in the jury house but not the one on Thursday? If it is Josh who goes on Thursday he may also have the ability to effect the jury.
I think next season they need to cast people who aren't into social media. I think half of the HG's this year were afraid of Paul's followers/fans. Starstruck sheeple. If they're going to recruit people, at least recruit people who are regular people who are not looking to be famous and always thinking about their follower count.
While Paul has played the best game, there's no way he could have had the same success without the 3 weeks safety AND the "friendship" bracelet thing. That bracelet twist had every person in there kissing his butt, opening up to him, and making deals. That was a big turning point in my opinion. The two advantages were overkill and set Paul up perfectly for everything that happened next.
While he did play the best game, I still hope he loses again. And while this opinion is not too popular here, I do hope Cody wins AFP just to drive Paul nuts. Plus, it will give the all the HG's immediate knowledge of what America thought of this season as it will happen right on stage and before everyone gets back into the real world. I can only imagine what each would be thinking if Cody or Jess wins. Paul losing and Cody winning AFP?.....one can only dream.
Must be because of of the Emmy's on Sunday night.... apparently the BB show that's always on Sunday has been moved to Friday instead. So, that means we'll have shows on Wed, Thurs and Friday this week, followed by one very long wait for the Wednesday Finale on Sept 20th. hmmmm, I wonder how many hours/days the feeds will be down.
Bizaro,CBS will not change a thing. Ratings are good as usual so why change anything? If anything they will go after more recruits with lots of followers. Lots of followers means more audience.
We,the hard core followers are the last people that CBS cares about. Year in year out we complain about the recruits, the idiots like Pao Pao that have no idea of how to play the game, and nothing changes. The millions who casuallty keep tuning in 3 days a week are all they care about.
Is it too early to start a pool on which Vet comes back next year? :) I got dibs on Cody, and Christmas if she doesn't win.
Sad and unfortunately true Uncartie. Also, regarding the 4th place person on Thursday, I'm sure CBS won't let Josh anywhere near the jury if he gets evicted as they know he could effect the jury against Paul. They can't have that, can they!? Paul is obviously supposed to win. Smh...
the worst season ever..it was all about paul
