Big Brother 20: Live Feeds into Friday - July 27

This is for Swaggy!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Weight Off Their Shoulders:
  • Yep, with Kaitlyn gone everyone seems to be breathing a sigh of relief.
  • Even Rockstar is more mellow.
  • After all, she got nine votes to stay. What could be better?
  • During a long live feeds block, they played out the HoH comp.
  • Bayleigh is the new HoH.
  • From what they said, it was a comp with more luck than skill.
  • Now, before we get into the actual doings, let's review Bayleigh.
  • She has a tie with Fessy due to Swaggy. She's in a secret alliance with Kaycee. She adores Sam. She is an advocate of an All Girls Alliance. She's had cross words with JC albeit resolved with apologies. She's not thrilled with Rockstar but Rockstar is female and one of her original allies.
  • Hmm.
  • What will she do?
  • Unlike Sam, she is having one-on-one talks with her fellow hamsters.
  • Unlike Sam, she is indicating who will be on the block.
  • Like Sam, she's being fiercely loyal to those hamsters she likes.
  • No way will she put Fessy, Sam or Kaycee in peril. Not as a pawn, nuthin'!
  • She knows that many of the problems in the house were due to Kaitlyn.
  • They all realize that now.
  • They also noticed that Kaitlyn didn't get the huge round of applause when she went before the live crowd.
  • Of course, JC's hinky vote has the rumor mill going. But it's not like it was a close vote or anything.
  • JC and Rachel both think someone must be trying to frame Tyler. (Yeah, JC, for reals.) Fessy thinks it was a sympathy vote.
  • Y'see ... before the live show, it was agreed by everyone that Kaitlyn would go.
  • In her talk with Tyler, Bayleigh told him that she didn't want to put him on the block as he's a very loyal player. The problem is that his loyalty isn't to her.
  • Oh my!
  • Tyler did his Tyler self -- convinced her that Kaitlyn was solely behind the Swaggy eviction and he would be loyal to her.
  • He's safe!
  • Rachel also said the Swaggy eviction was all Kaitlyn's doing.
  • Bayleigh thinks Scottie might be a problem and warned Tyler to be careful around him.
  • Now, Scottie is someone Bayleigh can't predict. He's flipped and flopped and isn't loyal to anyone.
  • Sam is super-relieved it all went down the way it did. She didn't have to break a tie; everyone seems happy with the results. Her HoH was a success with as little pain as it could have. Plus, she knows she has built a bond with Bayleigh.
  • Both Haleigh and Rockstar are worried that if Sam gets HoH again, she'll put them up.
  • But no way will Bayleigh even entertain the thought of putting Sam up!
  • So there.
  • However ... Bayleigh did tell Haleigh that she needn't stop her flirting. Hey, even try to get close to Tyler to see what's in his head.
  • Bayleigh and Angela formed a new alliance -- The Amazon Alliance. They want to expand and be the all girl alliance eliminating the guys one by one.
  • In her talk with Fessy, she told him she thinks Scottie is evil, but "evil on our side." Hmm. She also told him she wants to give Tyler this week to recover. Um. Okay.
  • She told him that she's thinking of putting JC and Brett on the block with Rachel as a back-up in case of a veto save.
  • Fessy wasn't too keen about JC being on the block.
  • Bayleigh pointed out that he doesn't vote with them.
  • Yet they all are claiming the sides in the house are over.
  • She told him that for sure Brett will be a nominee. If JC wants to stay off the block, he needs to stop running around all over the place and be loyal.
  • She knows that it's more likely Rachel would be loyal than JC.
  • She seems to be wavering on the "pawn" but Brett is definitely her target.
  • When Bayleigh talked to JC, she asked who he is working with.
  • He told her Sam. Good answer.
  • He told her he'd like to work with her, Fessy, Tyler, Haleigh and Sam.
  • Hmm.
  • She pressed for a promise of loyalty.
  • She also told him he's not her target this week, but did not promise not to put him on the block.
  • Both Bayleigh and JC said that Fessy is dumb (definitely dumb about the game), but can win comps on their side and be controlled now without Kaitlyn around.
  • In her talk with Rachel, Bayleigh told her that Brett is the target but she has a "pawn problem."
  • In her talk with Scottie she made him swear loyalty and that he wasn't the vote for Kaitlyn to stay.
  • So, the target will be Brett. The pawn is in doubt right now.
  • OH WAIT!
  • Then Kaycee and Bayleigh talked about getting JC out of the house!
  • They think he needs to go before jury.
  • The drama continues ... without the Kaitlyn-induced drama.

Sam will be safe this week

Come see my HoH room!

One will be nominated for eviction?

Back up against a wall? Nah.

The Amazon Alliance forms

This is perfect!

For those who wish to see it, here's the Kaitlyn exit interview with Julie Chen --

Has Jeff interviewed Kaitlyn?

Jackie S. said...

Jeff moved away from CA. Ross and Marissa do the interviews now. If they have it up, I haven't seen it yet.

Anon - No clue. I don't follow Kaitlyn's Instagram ... or, for that matter, anything Kaitlyn. Nope, don't follow.

From last night:
Fez explained that he is trying to stay close to JC so that they will be an "odd couple", and will be selected for Amazing Race. @@ Faysal, you have to be able to SPELL Amazing before you race it. LOL

I hope the veto is something that JC can win, b/c Bay seems bent on giving him his walking papers.

Ooooh!!! I hope that my pool-boy Scottie stays safe this week- it seems he's on Bay's radar!

Bay is a bit of a wildcard HOH but I think JC's "littl-person" vs "n-word" convo with her will hurt him. He did not listen.

At the top of Bayleigh's list to go: Brett and JC and I don't think she really cares which one it is. Although I'm sure she's aware, in the long-run, JC is more dangerous.

Bayleigh started out more inclined to get Brett booted, but think she'll end up wanting to get out JC more. Especially if he keeps bouncing around chattering and pushing.

Maybe JMO, but I think Bayleigh is power-hungry and will have a bad case of HOHitis.

Interesting exit interview. She has lots of ‘splainin’ to do to Aire Atlantica...

The argument between Bayleigh vs JC was unfortunate. The N-word vs Midget.
Just like other descriptions uses for many other nationalities and/or physical (or mental) disabilities, it's all in the perception of who's on the receiving end. It's difficult for people to understand unless they "live" in the shoes of a particular issue.

For Bayleigh, it's the N-word. Like most Black people, she's had to deal with that issue all her life. For some people, that concept is... 'uncomfortable.'

For little people, the word 'Midget' is offensive they detest that word. JC says he's "just short." But he's been called "midget" and has to deal with everything else associated with being little.

For those who don't grasp JC's feelings about this...
Whether we agree or not, in the minds of little people, calling someone a Midget is equal to calling a Black person the N-word.

IMO, Bayleigh was so offended that it became impossible for her to comprehend the concept he was trying to explain. She didn't want to hear it, and he ended up doing the majority of apologizing. They BOTH needed to apologize and BOTH accept the other person's perception!

Food for thought...
It's accepted for people to break "the word" down and say 'N-word'... but there seems to be no compunction saying the entire word 'Midget.' Maybe because, the majority of minds, it must be those words aren't equal. Mull that one over.

Good explanation sharon!

Glenn Allen said...

Bayleigh just told Rachael about her power. She said she would probably use the power on Tyler later. Tyler can now be on the lookout next week or so to use his power.

Sharon N said...

Poor Petals... back to incognito as Unknown? LOL

I felt the same Sharon about Bayleigh not wanting to hear or even try to understand what JC was trying to convay. You would think she could relate, but didn't even give him the respect in return she demanded from him. I come from the same school as Sam. In order to be respected, you give respect.

I haven't seen bbad yet, but I'm glad to hear that the drama continues! Thanks Jackie for your spot on updates!

Angela and Rachael need to tell Tyler so He can use his app next week. They want to protect Tyler and Brett but by not telling it could mess things up. Tyler will need HOH next week.

Glenn, now that Bayleigh went a little stupid there telling Rachel what her power is, it's going to leak out. She's already told Angela and that secret, I believe, will not stay secret. :))

Like I said yesterday, I’m not a Bayleigh fan. I liked her in the beginning, but her whole “princess “ thing she was spouting rubbed me the wrong way. Then the whole Swaggy thing went down and I liked how she started actually playing the game. Now between how she handled the JC incident and then watching her last night in her one on ones, Petals is right, she’s an entitled snob.

Sharon N - I agree with what you wrote about the argument fueled by the two derogatory names. I listened to what both were saying and initially thought that Bayleigh was having an unusually difficult time "hearing" what JC was saying. But then I also considered this:
The now offensive M-word had previously been used as an acceptable medical term for a condition causing a person to be of unusually small size yet physically well-proportioned. Having the word repeatedly used in a derogatory manner made it offensive. The "LP" term has come into acceptance for people who might have one of a number of conditions which determine their stature.
The terms idiot, imbecile, and moron were at one point acceptable psychological classifications describing differing levels of educational/functional abilities.
Their use in derogatory comments made them offensive as well as (thankfully) obsolete.
However, the N-word has never had anything but a derogatory connotation associated with it and perhaps that is the reason Bayleigh couldn't hear JC until later on.
It made for an interesting reflective moment.

HOORAY for Bayleigh!

Dumb move telling Rachel about the power, though. No way Rachel's not telling Brett and whoever's in the room with them at the time.

I'm still sick Kaitlyn didn't get back in. An 8 piece puzzle (6 if you take away the big legs)
and she totally froze up and choked. I'm afraid we might be back to boring house votes.

Love reading the comments here. I agree with everything that Sharon N said ^up there, and RhyzandShyn, you are absolutely correct about everything you just said. Terms that we used to use are not PC or even correct anymore, but... the fact that Bayleigh even had to ask just proves JC's point. Bayleigh had no idea and was just asking a simple question because she was curious and JC tried in his best broken language to explain to her in a way he thought she would understand that offensive is offensive no matter the audience. In the END, they were both right and both wrong. JC went out of his way to smooth it over and apologize but Baleigh was almost a wall not listening.

It was a stupid thing that happened in the house and I think we've all given too much attention to it. It happened, it was unfortunate, and they've both moved on from it in their own way. This is my gripe with today's PC culture.

Sharon N said...

RysandShyn,
Exactly correct and you provided another way to view how words 'gather moss.'

Monty,
I think JC has moved on. Bayleigh, not so much.
I believe she will holding onto that grudge... maybe feeling that she use it "as a reason" down the road.

Petals said...

agree Monty!
I have to add - because we're all friends here - I think Bay is aware that JC is somewhat of a competition-within-a-competition to her, as the other minority in the game. She knows that comes with a level of sympathy & affection from the BB fans, and she wants all that to herself. She wants JC gone, period. JMO

I am rewatching BB15 (the racist season). I just watched Amanda call Candice "Shanequa". I mean, THAT is bad! And Candice was a beautiful, successful, Christian African American girl. So many bad things happened on BB15.

You know me, Petals. I like Macrae that season and he was always guilty by association because of the people he chose to align with. That season was the worst ever... well at least a tie for the worst with S9.

monty924 said...

**Wait... Petals, that was Aaryn who called Candice that. It wasn't Amanda. I think you're getting the two confused, or am I missing something?

Petals said...

Amanda did it during the frog-tossing contest, too! She used Aryan's word, but she said. "What? is that the Shanequa coming out of you now?" and did the finger snap-snap. It was ugly.
The whole season was ugly.
I'm almost finished. Not sure whether to watch BB16 or Orange is the New Black.

So excited to get over here finally and say hi to everyone. Surprised to see so many faces I recognize. You guys have been a great support to Jackie. I’m enjoying this season I’m so very happy that Kaitlyn has been evicted. I was holding my breath because she almost accomplished the puzzle. I actually enjoyed the interview with Julie though. And I can imagine now how many times we will be seeing her again. Too bad. Jackie thanks for all you do.
