Big Brother 20: Live Feeds into Friday Evening, Nominations - July 13

Master of his domain?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Lonesome Losers:
  • Scottie certainly is not a Kaitlyn.
  • Tyler and JC tried and tried.
  • I tried to telepathically send signals.
  • No good.
  • There's no way Scottie will nominate Rockstar for eviction.
  • Nor will he plan to backdoor her.
  • Sigh.
  • Some hamsters were griping about JC's disrespect of the rules in the house.
  • Horrors! He slept on the floor in the Have Not room instead of in the satellite dish bed.
  • I guess it isn't really fair. Fessy got spoken to about putting his legs up on the dresser while in his satellite dish bed.
  • Maybe he should try sleeping on the floor?
  • The App Store opened for business.
  • Haleigh got the Crap App.
  • Tyler told Kaitlyn that he was on that TKO show -- the episode to be shown this coming Wednesday just before BB airs.
  • I doubt I'll be watching as those kind of shows just aren't me.
  • Well, it didn't take long to find out the Power App winner -- Bayleigh told Fessie she got it.
  • I didn't have anything to do with her win.
  • I know Jessica (of Jessica and Cody) had an online campaign for her to win.
  • And people a lot less jaded than myself probably felt sorry for her.
  • Oh well.
  • Bayleigh claims she has the power to change nominations before they happen with the HoH retaining renom power if veto is used. And this is supposed to be good to be used once up until the final eight?
  • Hmm.
  • Bayleigh told JC she didn't win the power, but was sure Swaggy would have won it ... if he was still there.
  • @@
  • No, girl. And you probably only won it because he's gone!
  • JC worked an anti-Rockstar campaign on Bayleigh.
  • Not too sure how that worked out. I think Bayleigh is closer with Rockstar than she is with JC.
  • Long feeds block for nominations.
  • No surprise -- Scottie nominated Brett and Winston.

Thankfully not pouting

Not on a yatus

Yipes! Now his hair is even worse!

Had more influence over Kaitlyn

Tyler's group could be in trouble.

To lighten up the evening a bit, here's the interview between Ross/Marissa and Swagster:

Finally an HOH that isn’t controlled by Tyler.

I actually thought Scottie would put up Tyler, wow. Not surprised about Brett and Winston, though. They are pretty demeaning toward people.

Thank you for blogging, Jackie. Greatly appreciate it.

I agree Lili.

i can’t believe more HGs haven’t caught onto Tyler yet. Today was the first time i heard anyone bring up his name as possibly having a power app. Of course they quickly decided it couldn’t be possible. Scottie said his mind would be blown. To me, it seems so obvious since he was HOH for the first two weeks, has won comps and gets called to the DR constantly. It’s frustrating that no one sees it. He’s really not THAT good, at least not IMO. Are they all just playing dumb? I can only hope so.

He got lucky being able to manipulate Kaitlyn. She was easy prey for him. His pitch to Scottie for Rockstar to go up was so weak, I’m glad scottie wasn’t having it.

Sam had Scottie promise to put her on the block as a replacement nominee if one of the Bros pull them self off the block. Tyler and Scottie don't want that to happen.

I really didn't think Scottie would target Tyler directly (for this HOH) because Tyler used the Veto on Scottie. Maybe a little gratitude payback, but he shouldn't count on it happening again... and Tyler's side will be diminished with one of his crew evicted.

Scottie 'acts' like RS's influence is important to him, but I'm not so sure. Scottie has been a sneaky-snake and under everyone's radar (including our's). A few, like Tyler and JC, figured out not to trust him. Until then, Scottie still had the opportunity to gather information... for his own benefit.

Scottie promised safety to Tyler before the HoH comp even went down. So it was no surprise he didn't put him on the block.

Tyler is on track for the win, His game is mirroring a lot of past winners, like a blend of Dr. Will, Dan Gheesling and Derrick....He's in the shadows, playing both sides, has latched on to people who trust his percieved wisdom and is playing the role of counselor/advisor.

I kind of have my ear to the ground in the world of Internet Big Brother so I can offer a little bit of insight about how Bayleigh won the power:

Basically, there are 3 main online community groups of big brother watchers: Twitter, Reddit and the Jokers Forum. Each of these three places has its own very weird collective mentality about the house, every year. Twitter is very liberal-minded and Reddit and Jokers are more conservative. It's very weird how it works. Ever since BB re-introduced audience voting for powers back into the game, these groups have tried to campaign against each other to get certain people powers. This is THE resason Jason did not win during BBOTT and why Jess and Cody became "fan favorites." Reddit was unhappy with Jason's behavior and campaigned against him. Jokers users consistently voted for Jess and Cody in the polls just to troll America because in the beginning they were clearly the least likable people in the house.

It's kind of hard to explain, but bsically every year Twitter gripes about the raw end of the deal that black people get in the house. They hate that they are only cast as tokens. They hate that the woman usually gets eaten up by fans while people like Jess, Cody, Caleb, Monte, etc. seem to be loved or do things that fans would not accept or claim to hate when black players do them. They hate that Bayleigh has been cast as the "black girl" and that swaggy was cast as "the black guy". They complain about this every year. Even though swaggy clearly is problematic, from what I've seen Twitter defended him, and his elimination put Bayleigh in jeopardy, so they campaigned to get her votes during the power app voting process.

Finally it's also why people aren't so anti-Rockstar. They see her as an ally to Bayleigh and Swaggy and someone who will speak up for them. Twitter is not a fan of Brett, Winston or to be honest any of the stereotypical white beauty queens and frat bros in the house because they think CBS and Big Brother favors them and their type over diversity, so they tend to like Rockstar because of that. Social media has really changed this game.

Here's a funny tweet that sums it up:

Anon @ 1146

I’m not part of an online community but I like Rockstar. I also like Haleigh and she fits the “white beauty queen” stereotype. I like them because they’re interesting to watch and I just happen to like them more as people. None of it has anything to do with Swaggy being black. I thought he played a horrible game. I was only torn on him going because I knew if he went, they would start to pick off the people I like.

I’m not a fan of the bros and co. bcuz they are boring to watch and I don’t like them as much as people.

It’s not that complicated for me.

yeah, on twitter I think it's more than this season and Swaggy C. I think this is just a consistent year over year issue that Twitter gripes about, which is why they are excusing Swaggy's behavior and defending him a bit. I think they want to make a statement to the powers that be in production if anything.

On one Twitter site, I saw that Rock Star was the most popular houseguest (which shocked me). But on Jokers, she's at the very bottom of the popularity polls. Go figure....

LOL Auntie Leigh

Swaggy dug his own grave. You can't come in guns blazing, constantly pop off about how great you are,get yourself into a showmance, and ignore a significant number of players, without becoming a target.

Baileigh's alleged power (Grrr) is ridiculous and way over the top if it's true.

I think that BB production itself was looking to make Swaggy their pet hamster this season and he blew it. I think he was in line to be the next Paul or Jody and his own self did him in. You could tell in the editing of the first shows they wanted him to be a star. Well, as much of a star as they get.

Twitter is often full of idiots -- I'm very selective of I visit there. Same with Reddit. It's kind of like the people on Facebook making fake memes just to enrage the masses.

Jackie,I agree that Swaggy was their pet. Heck they even supplied T-shirts.

I like this forum because you get to know the posters. I come back year after year for that reason.

I suggest that anyone using an anonymous handle here to think about using an actual handle, otherwise your thoughts and posts go in one ear and out the other. You can't gain credibility using an anon handle.

Interesting... I don’t do any BB twitter sites and I really liked Jody through out their season even though others didn’t... it was OK. Never checked out Reddit and have gone to Joker a few times here and there... and have never noticed anyone campaigning to vote. Of course when I have gone there I only go to the section where people are updating live feeds in there and they are encouraged to ONLY give live dialogue and no opinions. So far I haven’t checked it out this season. I like Jackie’s Blog because of her tongue in cheek comments (makes me laugh) and updated information. I also like that we have all gotten to know each other and gotten comfortable... like family! In here, we have our different opinions on hamsters and I like that nobody pushes anything on anyone else. I like that we all obviously respect each other and can laugh at ourselves. But, interesting insight to other sites!
