Big Brother 20: Live Feeds into Saturday - July 28

Up and preparing food for people

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Antsy Hamsters:
  • For the most part, last night was a bit uneventful.
  • Sam decided she had enough of the ants when she found them in the coffeemaker.
  • To be honest, I have no clue other than commercial remedies to control ants. I've never had ant problems, but the BB House ALWAYS has ant issues.
  • Sam, on the other hand, knows her ant stuff! She prepared a rather complex trap and within minutes, had hundreds of ants in it!
  • Bayleigh is sure that either Scottie or JC have the other power remaining in the house.
  • That's why she's reluctant to put either of them up, even as a replacement nominee.
  • But her promises of safety to others, which she intends on keeping, leave only Scottie or JC as possible renoms if the veto is used.
  • Her target is Brett -- remember it's Brett and Rachel on the block.
  • She told Rachel she doesn't want the veto used and doesn't want Rachel to win it and save herself.
  • Rachel, deservedly antsy because she's on the block, would prefer off the block.
  • Bayleigh ended up saying she will save Rachel if she (Bayleigh) wins the veto. She told Rachel she wants to work with both her and Fessy going forward -- wants one of them to win the next HoH. But she worries about them both.
  • Hmm.
  • Bayleigh had a long talk with JC, prying for goods on all ... especially Fessy.
  • Then she talked to Fessy, telling him that JC told her that he (Fessy) was solely responsible for JC not being on the block this week. Fessy admitted he told him that.
  • The talk ended up with Bayleigh schooling Fessy that BB is game of sneakiness and dishonesty even if that's not how he is outside the house.
  • Fessy says that it's hard for him to be that way because that's just not how he naturally lives life outside the house.
  • I believe it. I believe Fessy is genuinely a nice guy. I also don't think he's optimal material for BB. Not only does he not really know BB, he is way too trusting and naive.
  • He mentioned he'd love to go on The Amazing Race with JC as a partner. Now, THAT actually would be more fitting for him!
  • Veto is later today.

The ant problem is a result of BB never giving them the correct products to solve it or at least keep them at bay. Prior to the season they must use a pro exterminator on a regular basis since the ants never show up in the beginning. Instead of providing them with a spray bottle of 'Raid" they should be using baits like "Terro" designed to kill the queen when the ants go back to their colony.

Nominate Rachel and then tell her you have a secret power. @@ Genius I tell ya! Another BB mastermind (sarcastic eye roll)

Jackie,I agree 100% about Fessy. He's not cut out for BB. He'll never be capable of devising a strategy if he's uncomfortable deceiving people. He came into the game thinking that all he had to do was win competitions. He's not even smart enough to throw a comp, which he should have done last week to avoid an uncomfortable situation between Kait and Hay.

The remaining ,powers are confusing. Intentional? I still can,t believe Kaitlyn was too space tocomplete that simple simple puzzle.

Meant to say "spacy".

The powers aren't all that confusing. Bayleigh can secretly replace another HoH's two nominees with her own choices once until the final eight. Tyler can save himself by sitting on a cloud (figuratively, I assume) before the nominations or veto ceremony when he thinks he will be nominated once and I believe that's good until September 6th or so -- it was two months.

As for Kaitlyn and the puzzle. She can't handle pressure. She freaks out. I think Rockstar probably could have completed hers.

Ants - best thing I ever used to get rid of them -
You can look it up online, but the combo I use is
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup warm water
1 Tablespoon and I usually throw in a bit more of Borax (laundry powder booster stuff)
Stir it up
I soak cotton balls in it until they are dripping, then place those on the clear plastic lids I've saved from drinks (which I usually cut in half also), and place them strategically around where they come into the kitchen and run around.
They come to it, take it away with them, and are never seen again.
Usually works in the first 24 hours.

RyzandShyn I’ve used that exact same recipe and it works like a charm. The best thing I used when the in the house, just to keep them at bay is Windex. They hate it, it kills them instantly, and it’s a bit safer around my cats than something like Raid.

I went from not liking Bayliegh when she was with Swaggy, to liking her after he left, and now back to not liking her because she seems pretty bitchy. Maybe the better word some here have uses is "entitled snob". Any why in the world would she tell Rachel her power when she wasn't even close to Rachel? Lastly, if Rachel doesn't clam down, she will be the next target. I never understood all the game talk and scenarios going on before the veto is even played. You can do a lot of unnecessary damage to your game before Veto is played and most the time it's all mute anyways.

Ryzn and unc... both of you suggestions work. I've used Terro but depending on the type of ants it doesn't always work.

Still on veto watch - I want Brett to win the veto :))

SO I am rewatching S16, the Derrick season. Forgot 1) what a mean tool was Devin (he has a daughter, you know), 2) how hot was Cody!? and 3) how fun was Zach!

The only time I had ants, I put out some borax and in a couple days they were gone and I haven't seen any since. It's cheap and easy...and apparently not available in Southern California.

4) Dual HOHs & Battle of the Block was a terrible idea!

Petals, Co-HOH and BOB was the absolute worst

I'm even more convinced this is the Hide N Go Veto. They started it during the hottest part of the day and it's going on five plus hours. I can't wait to watch Sam's melt down over all the mess, LOL

Tyler won the POV. That keeps his safety. Does he use it on Rachael or Brett? Angela or Rachael needs to tell Tyler about Bayleighs power.

I have a post up about the PoV comp.

Was sitting outside on this beautiful night and just caught Tyler winning the veto but it doesn't look like the Hide N Seek. Wonder what it was?

Tyler is clever in the way he's setting Scottie up with Bayleigh.

I use lemon juice on ants. It works pretty good; and is not dangerous to the dogs. If the ants make it to a counter top, I use liquid borax. I'll only use it up high. I don't want the dogs licking it on the ground. Knowing them, they would. LOL

Ants are a problem in Southern California every year at this time.
