Knows Jack won't target her |
Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Problematic Possums:
- Well, well, well … where to begin?
- Yeah, they played cornhole, made a slip 'n slide, BB threw them a party (that was blocked to the live feeds by critter cam) and it all looked like such fun.
- So, it was a great July 4th holiday for all … right?
- Nuh-uh. Nope.
- Apparently the house will have some sort of tie-in with Love Island (which is SO something I will NOT be watching) as they talked about it.
- Since the commercials didn't start until after the hamsters were in sequester and they even know about it in the UK … we can expect something on BB.
- Gah. MAKE THOSE COMMERCIALS FOR IT STOP WHILE I TRY TO WATCH BB! They're creeping me out!
- Ahem.
- In other problematic news from the house, I'm disappointed with my man Cliff. Not only is he allowing himself to be bamboozled and think Michie (Jackson, still adjusting to his last name) and Holly are in an alliance with him … he's on that inexplicable Hate Train against David.
- Not only has he made several comments about disliking him and how evil he is, he had a conversation with Tommy that I found very disturbing.
- In the bathroom, Tommy told him there was some pee on the floor and David was the last one in there. Cliff said he'd pee on the floor and they could blame it on David.
- What? WHAT? I honestly thought Cliff was above that. Sigh.
- In other problematic news -- the Jacks were talking and both either said a racial slur … or not. They were talking quietly and there was a lot of background noise. I personally can't tell exactly what was said. It could have been the word "neither" or another word.
- I guess it was another word.
- Both were brought into the Diary Room separately and apparently warned by production.
- Neither is supposed to talk about it.
- But they did, at least a little bit.
- Jack, already apparently warned once about his mouth, is taking it in stride. He is going to be who he is, no matter what. He says he'll find out in 84 days whet people think of him … and he doesn't really care.
- Michie, on the other hand, is very upset. I'm thinking he might be thinking of what his family will think and repercussions out in the real world.
- But, at the end of the day (as hamsters say) he seems to think it's all David's fault and now he hates him even more.
- Well, at least it does seem to have made some sort of impression on the both of them. I think neither will really change, though.
- I'm still not getting why they all consider David the villain of the season.
- Yes, in watching him (since we never saw him actually playing in the house, I think he could very well be a shrewd player.
- He sat in on the meeting with Jack getting everyone to agree not to talk game with him.
- Yet it looks like he's got Kat fawning all over him and telling him alliances and such.
- David is making attempts to hang out with the others and get involved with conversations and such.
- Yesterday and last night, he was definitely around them all more than we saw Ovi. He's much more social than Ovi despite Ovi's college day social success.
- I've come to the conclusion that David IS dangerous. He's a dangerous competitor who could very well win the game if he can get back in and the jury isn't full of hate for him.
- So, yeah … he's dangerous in that aspect.
- But I just don't see mean, evil, villain or anything like that.
I don't care what they say |

I popped in a few times yesterday and was also really disappointed in Cliff. He kept going on and on about David. I thought he would be the reasonable one in this group of loons. The rest of the cast ate it up and talked about David on their own. I heard that he was “so weird and creepy” several times. I also heard them saying that David read some book (I didn’t catch the name) while in sequester about how to influence and control people. The hamsters aren’t happy and feel like he’s trying to manipulate them. Ugh. The whole thing was really stupid.
This dislike for David is on speed dial! I also don’t understand the animosity! Cliff is turning out to be extremely disappointing! Thanks Jackie!!!
He had some book called, "how to be a superior leader (or human being)" Kind of a modern "how to win friends and influence people"? They all made fun of it the first coupla days...
Yes, disappointed in Cliff. And on Jokers, Cliff's rating dropped. Good.
I know they've been saying he had a book. But the only books allowed are religious writings such as the Bible or Koran or the BB Rules Book. If he had a book like mentioned above it was either that he mentioned reading it at some time or he sneaked it in. We didn't see those first few hours he was in the house. So, we really can't say what it was.
The book was by actor Bryan Cranston called, A Life in Parts...
He also, watched 5 seasons of "Breaking Bad"
Here are my thoughts on the Hate Train to David Town:
I think David is one of those people that the entire house assumes is a "strong player" on first sight. He's young, in shape and would fall into the "alpha male" casting category.
Also when he speaks and the things he talks about shows that he is a very intelligent and thoughtful person.
So I think the house has label as a "strong" and "astute" player.
But he's been gone the past 2 weeks. The house has already settled and he can't really play for now, so chucking him back in is throwing people off. I watched after the show and the first night he had trouble really fitting in. The house has already found its flow without him. There is a potential for him to come back into the game. I think they are scared. They don't know where he lies, how he fits in, what he has to lose, what they should and shouldn't say to him, how bitter/upset he is, etc. the easiest thing they can do is isolate him to keep themselves safe and to passive aggressively keep things the way they were when he wasn't there.
On top of that I think Jackson and Jack personally feel the most threatened by David. Mostly because Jackson is the reason he's out. Jackson is extremely paranoid. Since unfortunately, people in the house see Jack and Jacksons as leaders, they are following their lead. The more Jackson rants about David to everyone, the more that paranoia trickles down. There are a bunch of followers in the house who are molding their games using the "leaders" as an umbrella. I think Cliff is in this category. i think Cliff's strategy is to "read the room" and fall in line. He sees Jack and Jackson as leaders and if they are suspicious of David, he's going to be as well, in order to get in good with them. Unlike past older players, Cliff doesn't seem set in his ways. he seems to want to adapt and fit in with the young ones. Christie is the biggest follower in the house, despite winning hoh, I notice that she too is joining in on the David hate train basically because she sees Jack and Jackson doing it. It's just so sad that Christie is so popular because now people follow her lead as well. I also notice she makes little statements and passive gestures to dog whistle to the other houseguests to be afraid of David.

Can someone explain to me why David is being targeted? I truly don't like the "Jacks." They make it hard for me to enjoy Big Brother this season.
Anon - Yes, he read the Cranston book while he was "banished", but they ALL referenced a different self-help book that he either brought in (or talked about a lot).
Agree about Cliff falling in line, trying to play along. Kevin did it, too. Remember Kevin, nice-dressed older Boston dude? When Paul laid down the law about being mean to certain HGs, Kevin had to play along. It is difficult to watch, but...
So JackAttack have had at LEAST one diaryroom intervention about their comments. It's pretty blatant. The weirdest part is that Jack doesn't appear to be 100% Caucasian, so where does he get off discriminating????
Anon 12:46 Excellent analysis.
Thank you for your analysis.
Why would Jack go after Sis? Aren't they almost showmancing?
Biz - he isn't. He nommed Jess & Kemi.
They haven't come back from the nominations yet...
Apparently, Jack even let Kemi know she would be nominated.
I think Jess was fairly sure she'd be on the block as well.
Thanks Petals....I was referring to Jackie's first pic from this update....it confused me.
But he did the predictable...
Jack told Jess she was going on the block because he was told she had masterminded an all girls alliance. Later Bella told Nicole she told Jack it was a fake alliance.
