BB21: Live Feeds - Whacktivity, Nominations - Friday July 12

What's for dinner?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Bugged-Out Buzzards:

  • The live feeds have been down more today than up since they woke this morning.
  • It's the final Whacktivity -- Panic.
  • Now, the cameras are blocked for those comps and they tout them as "secret" powers.
  • Well, it's only secret if the winner doesn't blab.
  • Julie promised us we'd see a classic power return to the game with this latest/last Whacktivity.
  • If the winner keeps his/her mouth shut (which is always wise), we wouldn't know who won or what the power is until Sunday night when they air the show.
  • All we got was a couple of peeks of large cockroaches, lots of them, interrupting the critter cam they use to block the live feeds.
  • But the winner blabbed.
  • Christie told Tommy she won.
  • And the power is the Diamond Power of Veto. It's only good for use once in the next four veto ceremonies.
  • Use of it in the ceremony will remain private from HoH and all.
  • That is unless the winner already blabbed about it, of course.
  • If memory serves, the power allows the user to remove and replace one nominee during the veto meeting.
  • All of the hamsters talked about how Christie had to win because of her reaction after the comp.
  • Oh, and they talked about how they're sure she won and that they were told that it's a power that's "capable of winning the game."
  • Yes, the comp was to do with those cockroaches. I'm not sure what kind they are, but they're not the kind that tends to infest places around here.
  • So far, Christie has NOT told Jack she won. She's denying the win to all (except Tommy).
  • But Nick is all up in arms saying she won it.
  • The feeds have been down for quite a while as I write this up -- nominations, I assume.
  • No one seems to really know what Nick will do.
  • The Jacks are sure that if he tries to backdoor one of them, they have the votes to stay.
  • Cliff talked to Nick and actually volunteered to go up as a pawn.
  • The Eight seem to be sort of a love/hate thing. Whether he breaks loose and puts one (or two) of them up may depend on his mood … and what influence Bella has had on him.
  • While Nicole came across as an Enemy of the Eight due to Christie eavesdropping on Cliff, Christie and a few others are in her camp because she's such a nice person.
  • I'm just wasting time here waiting for the feeds to come back.
  • How's your life going?
  • At least, unlike last season when they showed reruns, I can keep the feeds with the theme music/critter cam blocking low volume and watch Live PD.
  • Cliff is on the block.
  • And … Jess.
  • Jack told Cliff they put Jess up because they think she has the power and want to flush it out.
  • So … nominees are Cliff and Jess.

Cliff is just plodding along now.

Nicole doesn't run around half-naked.

Someone needs to change things!

Don't talk game in front of the campers.

I really wish they were worried.

Don't talk game in front of the campers!

Going by present conversations, it looks like the HOH group are working themselves into a lather and I think they might to try and back-door Nicole. It's unlikely anyone (other than Cliff or Jess) would draw her name for the Comp. Even if they did, she'd have to win to ensure no backdoor.

Is it me, or has this season killed this show? I have been a loyal viewer since season 1 episode 1. I need a Janelle or Dan. I don't even watch all episodes anymore because it hurts my feelings. Also I would say I've been checking out your blog for years and years...thank you.

Leightyw - Thank you for the kind words about the blog.

Sharon - If any of them had a brain, they'd realize it's Bella at the start of almost all of the dramas.

The behaviour of the last couple of hours on the feeds have been about the worse I've seen, and that includes Paul and his cronies bullying Jess/Cody, and of course the Racist season. It's uncomfortable to watch to say the least, so I stopped. The twists keep back firing on Grodner, and she can't take a hint. All this Camp twist has done is solidified the majority alliance, and is at the root of ruining the season, season after season. Jackie, I'm done with these people. Especially this (insert so many adjetives) Sis person, that I drew in the pool. I withdraw.

Later all.

Jackie,
yep... year after year, they all enter the house thinking they are going to be the smartest and best at everything. But it always ends up that very few can claim they have much in the way of "smarts."

Right now, they are all just glad it's not them on the firing line and want to keep it that way. With the size of their "alliance" though, it won't be long before they have to start feeding on their own.

Bringing something over from the previous post. They could cut down on the shout outs our stop them all together if they'd go back to having them vote NON-live like they did in the earlier seasons.

Hate the shoutouts!!! Stupid!

Love the recap with your touch of sarcasm.

At this point, the only hope I see for saving this season, is if David wins his way back in the house and wins HOH. I can't believe Nichole, Cliff, Ovi, Kat, Kemi, Jess, and Sam could not see the big alliance in the house. They don't even hide it and all hang out together all the time.

It took David all of one day to pretty much nail it down, who was in it and what was going on, after coming back in the house.

Fred, I don't see how it could devolve much further. But, if they have started the Paul tactic of ostracizing, dehumanizing, and flat out hate filled bullying, then this cast has indeed become the bottom of the barrel and something needs to change. Probably starting with the casting crew.

Which brings to mind....

I wonder how much longer Julie will be sticking with BB.
She already dropped her other CBS obligations, her husband is no longer affiliated either, and BB is losing viewers... reason says that she might finally be done with CBS and "hitting the road" after BB21.

All things come to an end sooner or later, and as much as CBS is pushing Love Island, plus having it on 5 nights/week, it seems to me that this could be "the beginning of the end" for BB.

I think Love Island might be short lived Sharon. I saw a report on the ratings and it only got a 0.6 rating on the premier night. Haven't seen any other reports but that is not good. (Thankfully) I saw something that said the same casting crew for Love Island also does BB. That makes the BB cast rejects from Love Island. LOL

I believe those were Madagascar Hissing cockroaches? But they do NOT bite, in fact, can be kept as pets (by whom, I have no idea).

Ugh - another win for the Hateful Eight. @@

Leightyw - this blog is always better than the show! Stick around :)

David - I'd joked that most of these HGs were Love Island rejexts...now I know it's true, LOL
And you can tell who: The Hateful! And maybe even Nick and or Bella...
THAT is hilarious.

Thanks for the update, Ms Jackie!

David, one can only hope. There are enough "love" shows on tv already.
Don't need more... much less, a really bad one!! LOL

It's official.
Christy can't keep her mouth shut either.

Thanks Jackie for the blog. This used to be my favorite summertime addiction. This season has made me wonder if it can ever come back from this disastrous season. There is no one that I can actually root for because these people are worse than all the crappy players from all previous seasons combined. The twist is stupid. Eviction night when Kemi had to do that stupid gauntlet as she was to head upstairs was ridiculous. Hugging people who just voted you out and then sitting down to eat with them later. Really? Maybe I am just getting to old for this show. Oh well Have enjoyed it while it was good.

Christie Told Jack about her Diamond Veto Power. She and Tommy make a final 3 deal with Jack. They call their alliance Lots of Love or LOL. They decide if they can use the Veto to save Cliff. Kat said she would save Jess.

Itchy I agree. I couldn't wait for summer to get here because it meant BB was here. But the last few years have been so awful I can barely watch.I stick around for Jackie's blog and the people here..so much better than the show itself.Hopefully something happens to save this season. Maybe a Sam HOH or a David one (if he gets back in)Or maybe someone in the 8 realizes they are at the bottom and flips sooner rather than later.
