BB21: Live Feeds into Friday Morning - August 16

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine! Heh.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Losing the Lederhosen:
  • If you tuned into my previous update, you know the winner of the HoH Slip and Slide comp -- Jackson.
  • Apparently there's an Internet fuss going on that Jackson cheated. The only basis I can even fathom for that is that he took off the lederhosen and finished his comp in the t-shirt and boxer shorts.
  • Technically, I doubt there's anything in the rules barring disrobing.
  • Well, to a point, anyway. Get naked, get disqualified I assume.
  • Jackson was blowing through the comp and probably would have won lederhosen or not. For a while Nick was kind of keeping up with him, but his stamina faded.
  • Although I can never be a Jackson fan (or stan as they Twitterspeak these days), he has moved up some in my book since Jack left the house.
  • First off, he seemed to take the "talking to" sessions in the Diary Room over his behaviors fairly seriously. Unlike Jack, who has no family willing to be known by the viewers, Jackson does have a family and they would like him to represent their family with at least a bit of decency.
  • Second, he's turned on Christie and Tommy. And, at this time, I think he's the only one who will make a move against them. I'm still ticked that those two know each other so well outside of the house and BB didn't make it all "secret couples." Hey, make one or two … it's just setting up those players as having an unfair advantage from the get-go.
  • That said, I do still think that Jackson has some rather serious issues and is a walking health hazard in the house, both to himself and others.
  • Oh. Just to make a note -- Christie is unhappy.
  • Heehee.
  • Much more surprising than that -- Nicole had a huge extended crying session alone in the unused Have Not room. (They should close that down if they're not going to use it because they don't enforce their own rules.)
  • As a person, I think I like Nicole the most of anyone in the house this season. But she needs to toughen up and get her game on. She can't let the stress knock her to the floor. I'm not exactly sure what brought on the crying jag, but it seems to be the whole Kat/Cliff decision dilemma and her own frustration with how she's playing the game.
  • Jess made nicey-nice with Cliff telling him she had no hard feelings. She said she knew he was dealing to stay for his own safety. She also told him that she thought Kat was too mice of a person for a game like this.
  • Hmm. Now, what does that say about Cliff?
  • But she does have a point -- for the most part, nice people have trouble in the BB house -- especially this particular one, I think.
  • Jackson is definitely targeting Christie this week (Yay!). The only dilemma  for him is how to go about it.
  • Jess had a long talk with him and Holly. They know Tommy, Christie, Nick, Analyse and Cliff are a block. Er, an alliance. Although Cliff tried to recruit Nicole into that group, she never really committed. So, Jackson and Jess are pretty sure they can get her to vote with them.
  • While he originally kept saying he wanted Tommy and Christie on the block, he's pondering backdooring her or putting her up with Cliff so she loses a vote to stay. He thinks that will also let Cliff keep his word to Christie by not voting to evict her.
  • Hmm.
  • The nominations will be made today. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  • On an interesting note that came up in the HOH room reveal, Jackson's father was 43 years old when he had him. He didn't say how old his mother is/was at the time. But he's their only child. It's not surprising he was pampered, I guess. I also found out that his father is a pianist named Fish Michie and looked him up online. Oh my. Quite talented! Plus, just on a personal live experience observation, having a creative talented artist type person for a parent can affect the child in odd ways. Just sayin' … not excusing Jackson's behaviors.
  • That's about all I have for you now.

HoH Room reveal excitement

Perhaps an outsider, but not a target

Sans lederhosen = cheating? Nah.

Unlike Jack, Jackson got family photos

I also like Nicole as she seems like a nice girl. Hard to be nice in the house. And if Jackson can get Christie out, he would climb his way up to being a good player

Those watermelons in his HOH room - haha.

As much as I haven’t liked Jackson this season, I was hoping he would win & put up Christie. Time for her to go!

Were the lederhosen real, i.e. made of stiff leather? If so, they would have restricted fine movement and balance, which is likely why he took them off. .

This season is so frustrating for me. The players are playing with sleaze and steamrolling. There doesn't seem to be any good and decent gameplay. I am frustrated that I was rooting for Jackson to win HOH. I don't care for him. But I dislike him less than I dislike Christie. And that's what this season is - the least horrible of the horrible.

I really do not like Jackson and would have preferred him going before any of the others. Unfortunately, him being there this late in the game pretty much guarantees he will win this season. There is no physical threat to compete against him and none of them even mention putting him on the block. Who is the target when Christie comes off the block? Unless he puts her and Tommy up together I don’t see her still being on the block for eviction.

Anon - I don't think anyone other than maybe Tommy would use a PoV to save her. Even Tommy kind of wants her out but doesn't want to be the one to do the deed. Nick goes back and forth wherever the power is. So does Cliff. The general house consensus when she was the third nominee is that she would overwhelmingly be voted out. As for Jackson winning the game, if he makes it to the final two, much would depend on who is there with him. If Christie goes and we know Jack is gone with hard feelings about Jackson, he probably wouldn't have the jury votes. I've actually pretty much resigned myself to the fact that the winner won't be one I like this season.

Only way to assure Christie remains on the block after veto is to put her up with Tommy. Tommy has already proven he would take Christie off the block. Can't imagine he would save her over himself.

Agree Donna.

Looks like Christy will be safe another week: Jackson wants to nom Sis & Christy @@ So Tommy can take her off. Again.

Anonymous said...

Petals is right. Tommy will save Christy.

T-Town Chick said...

He needs to put up Christie and Tommy so Tommy can’t take her down again.

Sharon N said...

If Tommy wants Christie out bad enough, he could choose to take advantage of the opportunity and throw the Veto comp. No blood on his hands and he can pretend to be distraught. lol
Hopefully, if Nick's name is picked, he will choose to throw it also.
I think Cliff & Nicole would abide by Jackson's wishes.
Has Jess discovered Christie isn't her best friend yet? lol
We know where Holly stands, but Sis is a question mark.

Judi Sweeney said...

I personally hope he puts Christie and Tommy up so at least one of them go! If either wins POV they will take themselves off... than put up Sis as a replacement... Thanks Jackie!

monty924 said...

We were wrong Petals... Holly does indeed have stunt hair :)))

Well, Jackson said Cliff, Nick and Tommy are safe so no Tommy nom. It's gonna be Sis and Christie

Cynical Blonde said...

Christie couldn’t win a comp if it was “say a girl’s name that starts with a C.” I would put up Tommy & Nick. If one of those two win the veto, put up Christie as the replacement. Tommy & Nick are stronger competitors, and you still make the new group pick off one of their own either way.

LOL Monty! THese kids *smh*

Yeah, Jackson doesn't know what WE know: that Chisty & Tommy are a unit. It sucks. SO UNFAIR

Lazy casting has brought us our F2. Dammit.

Jackson explained to Holly why he removed the lederhosen. He said that the straps broke and it fell to his knees. That's when he decided he needed to remove them.

I have to agree with you about Jackson, Jackie. I've had my worries about how stable his "health" is, or if perhaps he has other difficulties. If he is an only child of older, artsy parents, that might explain part of it.
But hey, I was worried about Cody in the same way, and on Amazing Race he came off a bit better.
Maybe it's just the BB experience, but still....if I were Holly's people, I'd have something to say about continuing that relationship on the outside. Yikes.

Sharon N said...

The term "meat shields" is ugly, but certainly fits those who have been 'involved' in BB House this summer. The 'relationships' are (or were) all so sleazy. Each has been based on Sex & Shield, with very little (if any) caring involved.

Nickelpeed said...

Thanks for explaining that, Glenn. Some people on the CBS BB chats were in an uproar.

See, if the girls had been smart, they would have stayed together. If he puts Sis and Christie up, what says Sis will not go? He's targeting the women. They are the easy targets. Kind of irritating. Cliff is even a safe one. But Tommy and Nick are dangerous to keep in the house

It still makes me believe Michie and Holly are still working with Tommy and Nick. I guess we'll see next week. If Nick or Tommy win and put up Michie and Holly, we know for sure they really want to get rid of them.

Sharon N said...

Jackson is going to try to avoid Nick winning Veto and taking Christie down by telling Nick if he does, Jackson will put up Tommy. LOL
With the icky evict-exchange Sis/Nick "relationship," I'm not so sure Nick wouldn't choose to save Sis anyway though.

Watching Cliff right now talking to the camera all alone in the Buck room. I don't care what people think of him or his decisions in this game... I love him. He's so down to earth and real.

Now, speaking of real... Kat turned out to be a HUGE disappointment to me during and following last night's show. What she did trying to guilt Cliff was bad enough, but when I found out what she said to Nicole was in my opinion even worse. That's the reason Nicole was crying alone in the HN room. She tried to guilt her by saying 'what will your kids (students) back home think of you'? That's a loose quote because she evidently did it while the feeds were down before the live show. Julie mentioned it in the extended interview and Taran covered both of Kat's attempts to guilt Cliff (who didn't have a vote) and Nicole (who did) on her way out the door. Hope she's enjoying the jury house. Good riddance!!

Monty,
Cliff's HOH ended up a disappointment, but I can't blame him for floating back and forth and making whatever deals he can get. Cliff is the "old man" of the house and would have been gone long ago if he hadn't won the Comeback. He's a decent man doing what he needs to stay, and always talks quietly and with courtesy to each HG.

Too bad about Kat. She was the best entertainment the last couple of weeks.
I agree that it was a harsh and totally unnecessary thing to say to Nicole. Poor girl has a difficult time. Her actions and reactions make me think she has very little self-confidence. Getting a beat-down doesn't help.

monty924 said...

I disagree. Cliff didn't get out one of the Jacks, but he did get Bella out of the house and we all remember what a trouble maker/loose cannon she was to everyone's game in there. Cliff also secured the loyalty vibe because Christie wasn't buying any of Kat's campaigning against Cliff leading up to this week's eviction. He also had good relationships with both of the Jacks because of it, and it's paying off this week with Jackson. We didn't like that one of the Jack's didn't go on Cliff's HOH, but on whole it wasn't a bad move on his part... just an unpopular one with America/the audience. :)))

monty924 said...

I still have no respect for Kat anymore either, LOL. No AFP vote from me and I know she wants it really bad. :)))

Sharon N said...

For me, AFP would have to be Cliff or Nicole, although I do like Jess too.
They are the only genuine people in the game. I do wish Jess hadn't blown up Cliffs Angels.

I'd like say Nicole for AFP, but to win that honor, she'll have to stop being so gullible and start winning something first. Cliff could lose out because he's seen as a floater who is only getting by on deals.

It will be interesting to see the public attitude when it comes right down to voting.
