Creeping me out more than Jackson these days |
Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Disappointment:
- Okay, I'm officially discouraged with this season of BB.
- Had production not secretly inserted two people with a lengthy prior relationship and no others really in the same situation, things would be going differently.
- That said, it's amazing that Tommy and Christie have kept the secret.
- But it shouldn't be happening in the first place. It sets them up for an advantage no one else has in the game. Yes, there are others who kind of know each other, but nothing so intense.
- With Christie now as the third nominee, Tommy can save her with his veto and not have to put up another nominee -- get no more "blood on his hands" than he already has.
- Before the field trip, he had told Cliff he'd try to take him down with the veto if he won it.
- That's out of the window now … or, like I like to say -- defenestrated.
- I can't really blame Tommy for making the easy all around move. I do think he will eventually turn on Christie, but not yet.
- If he were to save either Kat or Cliff, he'd have to come up with another nominee.
- So, logically, that ain't gonna happen.
- Right now it looks that, of Kat and Cliff, Cliff will have more votes to stay.
- Nicole, kind of the swing vote, told Cliff she'd vote to keep him and they've had more loyalty all along than she and Kat have had.
- Holly and Jackson will likely vote to keep Kat.
- Jess has had an on and off relationship with Kat, will probably vote for Cliff to stay.
- Nick would probably vote to keep Cliff as would Christie and Analyse.
- At this point, I'd personally prefer Kat stay. She's more entertaining to me and, since Cliff's unexplained and irrational fear of David, I'm a bit leery of him.
- I predict the winner of BB21 will be someone I don't really like.
- Sigh.
- In other news: In other news, Analyse doesn't simply have to wear the chicken costume. Kind of like how Paulie did, she has "tasks" along with the costume.
- When she gets the signal, she has to go outside and "lay an egg" then go to the storage room for a basket of eggs and cook them according to directions.
- Guess what?
- She really doesn't know how to cook. She had trouble understanding how to boil water for hard-boiled eggs.
- She seems to be taking it in good enough spirits.
- Jackson has been offering to help her.
- As time goes on in the house, Jackson (other than rampant sex with Holly) is showing better behavior without Jack around.
- On the other hand, Nick is coming across as more bullying and just creeping me out more and more.
- Oh, well. The veto meeting should be later today. While it would be fantastic if Tommy let the noms all remain (hey, it could be fore his aunt!), I don't see it happening.
- Oh … and Tommy's punishment ended. He's no longer in costume.
- That's it for now.
- Wah.
- UPDATE - The suspense is over -- Tommy saved Christie. Kat and Cliff remain on the block.
I so see why the break-up was dramatic |
Will go the easy choice |
Already consider Christie safe |

Tommy needs to cut Christie loose NOW. But he won't. I'm so frustrated. Tommy won't win against her. Just let nature take its course. Please.
Agree on every point, Jackie.
We began the season with several hopefuls, but they were all eliminated nearly immediately. We're left with unlikable people. Also agree with your Cliff assessment - the David thing was a real turn-off, not to mention him folding under the 6-Pack {or whatever their stupid name is} during his HOH.
I kind of disagree that Tommy wouldn't win vs Christie. She really has NOT been making any friends among the HGs. IMO, they are seeing her sucky attitude/crying and as it continues, they just might vote for anyone else to win if she's one of the F2. lol
re: Cliff. Not only is he friendly with all the girls, but everyone will want to keep him around because of his injuries. Heck, even before his injuries, they are smart enough to know he had no chance of winning a physical comp.
I agree with everything you said Jackie... even the seeing why the breakup was dramatic! Thanks Jackie!!!
trying to get back in the game...
Question for Jackie and followers.. did Tommy win a veto so he can take down Christie and not have to replace her with anyone?
Leigh - He probably won the veto because the others playing in the comp did poorly. He did want to win, I guess.
Question about last night's show- doesn't Tommy have to wear his rocket hat when with the rest of the houseguests? I saw him talking in the HOH room with his hat off? Oh well, punishment is over.
I think CBS will have to do a season of previous players from seasons past to get everyone enjoying the show again...I haven't been impress with this group of contestants. I was hoping veto couldn't be used on America's choice..so we're stuck with Cristie another week.
Nick totally creeps me out too, Jackie! You are not alone!!!
Good idea, CherryPie. If ONLY!!!
Nick is so deep in the closet that his voice sounds muffled - maybe that is why he gives everyone the creepies? LOL
This season was just plain LAZY casting. They didn't cast a wide enough net (Tommy/Christie), they didn't thoroughly or properly vet the candidates, and they didn't follow-up on the obvious similarities in the background(s)/social media of the ones they DID cast (Kat, Holly, Jackson).
Lazy.
and it shows.
This cast is a disappointment.
I feel as though we wasted our time voting when Christie can so easily be pulled off the block. It just makes the Field Trip lame. That is disappointing, too. The veto should have only applied to the HoH’s nominees, not the 3rd nomineeš©
Nick is my pool pick and I just can’t get excited about that fact. Lol.
This blog is and always is the best part of BB. Thanks!!
tbc.... I feel exactly the same as you & Nick is my pool boy too! I also agree that BB wasted our time in voting by allowing a veto to remove Christie! Why did we even bother to vote if the veto could be used to pull them off? It just doesn’t make sense! Not happy!
You know what is funny and fitting for such a lousy season, every thing they tried to liven up this season was a total flop. The three powers earned were not used or was a flop of a power to begin with. Camp BB was nothing as the last person (Cliff) never actually had to be in it as he walked right back into the game. Now to top it off, America's Vote was a total bust and a waste of time.
Even the weekly have-nots were abandoned when they failed to discipline Jackson for cheating on it. I think Production has given up on this season and just wish it was over.
At this point, they should just accelerate the whole thing at Survivor speed and be done with this in a couple weeks. Stop the slow torture and just flush this season down the toilet where it belongs.
The casting was a failure and the staff involved in this fail needs to be replaced. Too many problems like Christy and Tommy knowing each other AND not penalizing people that ate while being a HAVE NOT. I have been a faithful BB watcher but this season is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I would have lost all interest if it hadn't been for Jackie's blog: The (TV) SHow Must Go On. (Maybe this TV show should not go on, unless CBS gets their production team in order and working properly.)
PQ
So happy to see folks expressing what I was thinking and feeling but was too inarticulate to express. Especially about having audience phone in votes that were just nullified by Christie being saved by a veto. I think the show is finished. The only thing that would make me enthusiastic would be a "where are they now" version with old favs returning....Jackie is the only reason I watch, her blog is so witty and fun to read and her followers are great, too. Thx Jackie and Vincent.
I was wondering how long Nick & Bella would last and didn't think it would be long since I figured he had been using Bella. As it turns out, people have apparently sent Bella texts/videos and she's already dumped him.
He's really burned himself by being particularly gross and disgusting. From what I understand, his employer had already dumped him a while back. It's unfortunate when Hamsters their 'real life' jobs because of 'outsider interference.' With that said, I doubt anyone thinks Nick is a good representation of a therapist (or anyone) that they would want around their kids.
Thinking about it, I bet that a lot of employers watch 'their people' when they are on shows like this, and don't need outsider-contact to make a 'business' decision.
TBC is right. The third nominee should not have been able to be pulled off.

I also agree with that. They could pull themselves off if they win veto, but no one else can, would be a good rule to implement. No one in the house had anything to do with Christie ending up there but herself, so the only one who could save her should be herself.
yes! From Jackie's blog to the producers' ears, regarding the Field Trip noms. When the house becomes totally lop-sided (like this season!), letting America intervene with our own noms.
But giving the house an "out", like removing OUR nom, makes our votes pointless.
It's hard to imagine Nick as a therapist; he really doesn't seem to have the skills for it. I agree that he's a bit creepy. And that expression-like he smelled something bad...bless him!
He's a therapist at the local Y, right? Do they need degrees, or is it all volunteers there?
If BB does try and keep the show going by bringing back some type of All Stars....I hope they don't bring back ones we all did not like. I just re watched season 6 with Janelle and Howie. So many laughs. The nurd hurd's group was called The Friendship. Paul totally high jacked that term from Season 6. I never want to see him again for sure. This season is the WORST.
The producers blew everything about this year ..from casting to the powers to the field trip...ughhhh. Christey should have only been able to come off the block,if she won veto. And Jackie,I agree with everyone else,You and the blog and the blog readers are the only saving grace to this season!! One can only hope Tommy taking Christey down off the block will show them to be a power duo and whoever wins hoh this week will nominate them 2 together...a girl can dream, right??
Anon 9:19 !! YES! S6 & 7 were my all-time faves! Queen Janey & King Kaysar, and James & Howie! The best!
I can't think of anything positive to say about this season.
Well, except Nicole is a nice girl, but that's it. She won't win anything... except maybe BB if someone takes her to F1... because the Jury will vote bitter.
oops... F2
Mentioned earlier, but Bella did just dump Nick when she saw him cuddling hard with Sis in bed. She said she's not going to come in 2nd for any man. He already knew she was not happy about him and Sis and he knows she's watching......
Nick and Bella and Sis all deserve each other!
What they really should do is give Jackson a penalty nomination and put him in Christie’s empty seat. From my recollection, they’ve never done a penalty nom, just penalty votes for people already on the block.
I miss the regular updates! Can anyone tell me who is for sure going home this week? I heard Kat say on the show she wouldn’t go to jury. Can she do that?
At this time it looks like Kat is going. She can leave but she loses the stipend and probably won’t be able to come back for finals and appearances. She is so worried what people think of her there is no way she won’t go to jury.
Anon 10:08 There's actually not much to write about.
This summer is a rinse & repeat of the same people, doing and saying the same things. Of course, Nick is still there, so a lot of it (words and deeds) would have to be rated "R" anyway.
Also, anytime HGs bring up subjects that BB has apparently deemed "can't be heard" now, so the feeds switch. And the switch isn't always about the HGs singing, or talking about friends/coworkers/family who didn't sign waivers.
I don't know why BB is trying to protect this cast from their own words. Most people already think this season could be the worst ever. Even outdoing the rushed writers strike winter season. Let them be shown how they really are.
At least people would be talking about the show instead of just saying over and over again that it sucks.
Has anyone seen any interviews with Julie this season? I would like to know what she thinks of this season so far. I haven't really looked to see if there are any. Guess I got something do do now. =)
agree David! Season 9 (writers strike) was bad, but there was "action", "drama". No power alliances.
For me, S19 was the most difficult to watch, as a fan. Paul ruins everything he touches, IMO.
*sigh* I worry for the fate of my mom's & my special show.
There's a lot of game left. It's not at the top even 15 of my favorite seasons, but I never really give up on my guilty summertime pleasure. Forever the optimist here, LOL
Yes I agree with everyone that says Jackie and her blog post are the only interesting part 9f this season thanks Jackie
