The Amazing Race: TAR35 Teams Introduction

Good afternoon! Nope, this is not about Big Brother. Does everything have to be about Big Brother? No, it does not! I'm here to talk about the upcoming season of The Amazing Race and brief you on the teams.

The season starts on September 27. From that Wednesday forward, BB25 will be on Tuesday nights and Wednesdays will be 90-minute episodes of Survivor followed by 90-minute episodes of The Amazing Race. For the first time the show will feature 13 teams. According to CBC, the race will be a "23,800-mile adventure around the world." We will see the return of commercial flights instead of the private Covid-era flights. Plus, there will be no non-elimination legs, there will be a twist on the U-Turn and the Express Pass will be back.

Here's a cast video from Parade.com --

Here are the teams:

Alexandra and Sheridan Lichtor, brother and sister team from Chicago. She's 34, he's 29. Both graduated from Northwestern University with a Chemical Engineering degree and both currently work for the same global management consulting firm. Alex also plays tennis and has won multiple half marathons.

Ashlie and Todd Martin are a married couple living in Chino, California. They are both 38 years old. Ashlie is a hospitality account manager while Todd is a special education teacher.

I can't seem to find much more on them other than the fact they first met at age 15. So, they should surely know each other's quirks by now!

Elizabeth and Iliana Rivera are a mother - daughter team from Tampa, Florida. Elizabeth is 52 years old and Ilana is 27. Their professions are listed as retired lieutenant and entrepreneur. Hmm. Lieutenant where I haven't a clue, nor entrepreneur in what.

Nothing like a bit of vagueness.

Greg and John Franklin are brothers living in New York City and Mountain View, California. Greg is 25, John is 27. Greg is a software developer while John is a product manager. I dunno. Both sound techy to me!

I've read that they have done quite a bit of traveling to other countries together. That could be a very good thing!

Jocelyn Chao and Victor Limary are both 49 years old and yes, they are married despite different surnames. They live in Albuquerque, New Mexico where they are both grocery store managers.

Like many others, they say reading the clue is very important. Let's see if they can practice what they preach!

Joe Moskowitz and Ian Todd are an engaged couple living in NY, NY. Joe is 35 years old and Ian is 40. Joe is head of business development for a commercial real estate tech platform and Ian is a senior director of new business for a marketing tech start-up.

Joel Strasser and Garrett Smith are best friends. Joel is 42 years old and lives in Kuna, Idaho where he is an auto claims training specialist. Garrett is 43 years old and lives in Meridian, Idaho. He is a delivery driver.

Liam and Yeremi Hykul are brothers currently respectively living in Cheyenne, Wyoming and San Marcos, Texas. Liam is a Navy veteran age 23 while Yeremi is 24 and a Marines veteran. They think a big strength they have is patience with each other.

Malaina Hatcher and Andrea Simpson are best friends. Both reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Malaina is 45 years old while Andrea is 44. Malaina is a tax examiner technician while Andrea is a director of credit management. They think they balance each other and plan to pay attention to details.

Morgan and Lena Franklin are sisters and apparently NOT related to the brothers team with the same surname! Morgan is 31 years old and living in Brooklyn, NY. Lena is 29 years old and resides in Los Angeles, California. Both are marketing executives. They think strengths they have are people reading and problem solving.

Robbin Tomich and Chelsea Day, both 41 years old, are childhood best friends. They are both stay-at-home mothers, Robbin lives in Kirkland while Chelsea lives in Shoreline, both of those are towns in Washington state.

I wonder if they dreamed about being on the race one day back when they were young girls?

Rob and Corey McArthur are a father/son team currently residing (respectively) in Riverside, California and NY, NY. Rob, the dad, is 48 years old and is a teaching assistant and assistant football coach. Corey is 25 and is a senior manager of client strategy and analytics.

Steve Cargile and Anna Leigh Wilson are a father and daughter team. He's 54 years old and currently resides in Petty, Texas where he's a residential/commercial paint contractor and speech pathologist. She's 28, residing in Royse City, Texas where she's a private flight attendant and influencer.

Thank you Jackie. :)
AR always has an interesting combination of personalities.
It would seem like the well-traveled brothers would have an advantage.

Thank you Jackie .I love this show. The scenery in the foreign countries alone make it worth the viewing time (for me, at least). Of course I also get attached to some of the contestants. I was really glad to see Claire and Derek X from Big Brother win. I wonder if they ever got married. Does anyone know?

Thank you, Jackie, for the update on Claire and Derek X. I'm glad they are happy, and I would love to see them compete on other shows. I wonder how they would do on Survivor, which is one of my all-time favorite shows!

Glad to see there’s no players from other reality shows this time around. Not that I don’t sometimes like them, but it’s nice to see teams of “civilians” on the show. Can’t tell who I like to win yet because no one really stands out, and usually I don’t have a choice until after the first episode. And I’m usually wrong. Plus I’ve got to catch up on Amazing Race Canada!
