Big Brother 1: Live Feeds into Friday - August 21

Is the prankster in danger?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Quirkydirks:
  • If you went to bed last night and didn't know, Austin won HoH.
  • So, we have another week of him and Liz canoodling up in the HoH room.
  • Sigh. As long as they don't have all four cameras on it!
  • One thing about the extensive Jeffish during the comp last night (blocked feeds with Jeff Schroeder interviews/clips) last night ... he truly mocked the Liz/Austin showmance. Bwahahaha!
  • But that was only entertaining the first few times around.
  • James is thrilled that they did a segment on him scaring Julia.
  • In the beginning, I wasn't sure I'd like James. But, if not for him, a lot of the entertainment would be gone out of the house.
  • Austin told James and Meg he wouldn't put them up. He tells Julia he plans to stick to that.
  • Now, that doesn't leave a lot of other folks -- Julia (he won't due to Liz), Vanessa, Steve or Johnny Mac have to go on the block.
  • Obviously, he wouldn't put Liz up.
  • Obviously.
  • Austin promises this week will be BIG and he'll get to be Judas.
  • Hmm ... sounds like a Vanessa ouster to me!
  • I think the only "big moves" Austin could make in a Judas scenario would be Vanessa or Julia. Perhaps to a lesser degree -- Steve or Johnny Mac.
  • Austin tells Vanessa that his target is Johnny Mac, but Steve doesn't want to go up as a pawn.
  • Vanessa came up with a convoluted plan of thrown challenges which would supposedly send JM home.
  • Vanessa proposed several different plans.
  • Austin nodded, but didn't commit to any of them.
  • In his HoH basket, Austin got a clown nose.
  • He doesn't understand.
  • He also got a photo of someone he met once.
  • Weird.
  • Austin is completely seeing through all of Vanessa's tactics now.
  • Good.
  • He, of course, can make Liz see it.
  • But, is Julia still a sympathizer?
  • I think if she had her druthers, she'd choose Vanessa to keep over Johnny Mac.
  • It's a good thing she has her sister, not her druthers!
  • James and Meg volunteered to be Have Nots this week.
  • Austin wonders if he should go after Johnny Mac or Steve because Vanessa isn't currently targeting him.
  • @@
  • Austin tells Vanessa he might put her up as a pawn against Johnny Mac.
  • Vanessa wants him to use Steve as the pawn and gives a gazillion reasons.
  • She thinks it's a backdoor James plan.
  • Eventually, she kind of gave in, but asked Austin for a few minutes to talk alone.
  • He told her NO! Not as emphatic as when Becky shut her down, but ...!
  • As the night wore on, Austin doesn't know if this is the week to go after Vanessa.
  • Hey, credit to Vanessa if she stays in yet another week!
  • I said the above, not Austin.
  • Johnny Mac's odd behavior is turning people against him. They can hear him screaming in the Diary Room and such.
  • And, of course, Julia never liked him.
  • As I wrap this up ... I'm really not sure which way he'll go. In trouble are Johnny Mac, Vanessa and, to a lesser extent, Steve.
  • I guess we'll see with nominations.

Liz and the HoH

"Did Johnny Mac call us DUMB?"

Should I make a big move?

Austin, can I talk to you? NO

We do need to get Vanessa out

He won't give me any time!

They still have the giant table.

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? Tonight either Becky or Johnny Mac will go to jury. It's supposed to be an endurance comp (again) tonight. A separate post for screen caps and updates on any of the happenings after the show ends will post at 10pm ET. I'll follow the comp and update, so please join me! On that note, though I do hate to bring this up ... I put a lot of effort forth during the BB seasons while also working full time. Other sites get a percentage of the money from live feeds subscribers; I don't. I do, however, accept and really appreciate donations made to the blog. While I love the community here, there's quite of work involved on my part and little sleep for three months. If you wish to donate, the link is right in the sidebar on the right!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Recap, recap ... along with the promise of our first look at the jury house. Liz tells us that someone else will get the blood on their hands for evicting Vanessa. Becky realizes Liz won't backdoor Vanessa. John has the idea that he's not the target and will do his "dead fish" strategy -- lie about and not cause waves.

Segment on James and Meg silliness and James's pranks. He wraps all of Steve's stuff up with plastic wrap on a dentist chair.

Johnny Mac is now in with Steve, Austin, Liz and Julia. They all have the same idea about Vanessa. Johnny Mac says he'd put her on the block. Their eyes light up! (Well, not Steve's eyes so much.)

Becky pleads her cast to Austwins ... she also says she would target Vanessa. Now the Austwins have to decide which one is best to keep.

To the living room and showing them James scaring Julia. Then they talk about OTEV and show Meg's head slam. Steve misses his family.

Into a degment about Steve alone in the yard talking to us and then into a family segment on him. His town is all behind him!

Jury house time -- Shelli wants Vanessa to be next. Oh noes, it's Jackie! She tells Shelli it was Steve's doing. Steve told Jackie that he heard she was going to backdoor him. They both know it was Vanessa who told Steve that. They both hope Vanessa is next. Jackie would actually prefer to get back in and evict her herself.

The live vote pleas:
Becky: Lost our minds, fun, great journey, do what's best for your game.
John: Lists Becky's virtues in the house, keeping me here would be dumb, but I want to stay.

The votes to evict:
Steve - Becky
Vanessa - Becky
Meg - Becky
Austin - Becky
Julia - Becky
James - Becky

It's unanimous -- Becky is evicted.

Buh-bye, Becky. She's limping from a toe injury in OTEV, a small part of the reason they voted her out.

ZingBot will appear next week. He also has a Twitter account - @ZingbotOfficial

HoH comp -- Ready, Set, Woe -- a track meet, six races, each race one eliminated. They have to hold three buttons down, watch for words "ready, set and go" to show, then race across to hit their button. Decoy words, time differences, etc. expected. The buttons are held down with hands and one foot/knee.

Meg out first.

Julie promises exciting news about the next eviction. I predict that it's about the jury members competing to return as next week will be the fourth member of the jury.

I'll be following the endurance comp on this post linked here.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Thursday - August 20

Steve is getting around

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Impending Doom for Train Girl:
  • Becky got some pain meds for her toe. I guess it's not broken, but it is wrapped up.
  • She's more mellow with pain meds.
  • Julia thinks if Vanessa wins HoH, she just might backdoor Austin.
  • Yeah, that's a possibility.
  • The twins are still a bit too loud for my liking. But, when they're together sans Austin, they can be funny.
  • If nothing else, I can mock their voices to my cat!
  • They're still having ant woes in the kitchen. They still use Raid to try controlling the problem. I'm not sure that's a good solution. Poison is poison, but ants are protein!
  • Heehee.
  • (You can tell we're in feeds doldrums now, can't you?)
  • Steve talked again about Christine being his favorite houseguest last year. Ew. He's thrilled that she answered an email from him. I'd say that's probably because she didn't get a ton of nice emails.
  • They had the last of the three dinners they earned -- In and Out burgers. The feeds were blocked for the feast.
  • They bowled, then threw chocolate at each other until BB told them to clean the house.
  • Becky says her toe injury is causing her more pain than when she got hit by the train ... and she wasn't allowed pain meds for that because of her brain injury.
  • James joked about keeping Becky because she'd be easy to beat with her sore toe in HoH.
  • Julia again seriously brought up keeping Becky instead of Johnny Mac (as she's done many times before -- she doesn't like JM).
  • That was pooh-poohed by Austin and Liz.
  • Vanessa seriously brought up keeping Becky, also with the thought she can't compete. But, unlike James, she was serious.
  • When that was turned down, she decided they need to make deals with Johnny Mac.
  • Steve made his rounds -- hanging out with Austwins, Becky, Vanessa, Johnny Mac and James/Meg to a lesser extent.
  • Yeah, that's the guy with such horrible social issues.
  • Liz and Austin continued with their snugglefest with her shutting him down at times.
  • I kind of wish the BB voice would tell the both of them SHUT IT DOWN.
  • They're reminding me too much of McCranda and I just might start having nightmares.
  • Everybody headed to bed early for this crowd.
  • Once tonight comes, things will get interesting once again.
  • That is, until the doldrums hit on Sunday again.

No way could a comb get through

The hat is back

Steve and Becky

James and Meg, BFFs?

Looks like a choke hold to me

Big Brother 17: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 19

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? We have OTEV ahead!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Recap and the promise of the world premiere of OTEV, Rock and Roll. John wants to win veto, pull himself down and get Vanessa out.

Vanessa wants to smooth things over with Johnny Mac. He does not trust her, not at all. He tells us that he wants everyone to know she's his sworn enemy and the only one he wants to go after.

Meanwhile, the Austwins are worried that JM is after them. Steve wants to work with John and have him remain loyal to him. He talks to Austwins about bringing him into the fold.

JM talks to the Austwins. He tells them about why he's after Vanessa. Every time Vanessa has had a blow-up with anyone, they've gone home. He talks about her wanting to backdoor Austin. Happy with his talk, the Austwins like him.

Time to pick players for the veto comp! Liz draws Houseguest's Choice and goes for Austin. John got Meg. Becky got Steve. Julia pouts that she never gets picked.

Johnny Mac trusts Austwins and will be throwing the comp. Now, that's crazy! Liz is wondering what will happen if Becky wins. He tells Becky that he's going to throw it because he wants her to win. Silly crazy dentist dude!

Time to Rock and Roll. It's the OTEV veto comp set up with dishes of food and a rockin' OTEV. He'll sing a song about an evicted guest and they have to find the BUTTER card for each out of a dish. Done in rounds, of course.

Round One - Song ends in "Oh Mylanta" -- of course, Jason. Johnny Mac out in the first round, thrown as promised.

Round Two - "First go in the double eviction" -- Shelli. Meg faceplants trying to get up to OTEV. Steve is out. He also threw it.

Round Three - "Texas size tears, he was one away from jury" -- Clay. Becky manhandles Austin and takes his pile of butter cards. Karma, I guess. Becky is out.

Round Four - "Evicted second, it was a very bad day." -- Da'Vonne. Meg is out.

Round Five - "... even though my face got taken off the Memory Wall." -- Jace. Austin out, Liz wins the Power of Veto!

John thinks the veto won't be used and all he needs to do is not make any waves.

Vanessa plays happy with Liz, but she's worried she will be backdoored. She reminds Liz of Audrey #2.

Ew. Liz has a hickey, Julia is disgusted. So am I. How juvenile!

Vanessa cries to Steve and Liz about how alone she is. Poor victim. Liz is worried that Vanessa will target Austin.

Time for the veto meeting --
Becky: One week ago, I kept you, your sister and Austin safe, please use veto on me.
John: Blue couches are way more comfortable, don't want to talk to Julie on Thursday, please use the veto on me.

She does not use the power of veto.
