BB23: HoH Comp and Nominations Show Blog Party - Sept. 5

Greetings and felicitations! Tonight we get to check out the end of the HOH "endurance" comp (which lost two people before the live show was over). And, then the HOH winner will choose two hamsters for nomination. In real life the veto comp has already been played. But, since this is a show post, it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE! Please don't comment on anything before it's aired. Some folks really don't like spoilers.

I will be live-blogging, regularly updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Sitting through "Previously On" as I always do ...

We pick up the action at the start of the HOH comp before Derek fell during the commercial break. He's down less than two minutes! Alyssa tells us she was getting dizzy and sick, down in six minutes. Claire drops (as she must overthrow it as secret HOH). Those three are the Have Nots for the week.

They show a segment with Derek pushing Tiffany to throw the comp to him, Kyland or Azah to take the shot against Claire this week.

Hannah is down. Xavier drops at 21 minutes. Azah actually falls at 23 minutes. It's down to Tiffany and Kyland still up. Tiffany is like a rock up there and Kyland is upset that she doesn't seem to have any intention of throwing it. Even Azah in a Diary Room segment is mad at Tiffany, as is Derek.

Kyland tries to deal to no avail. Kyland actually fell (not dropped) at 36 minutes. TIFFANY IS THE NEW HOH ... despite what the Cookout wanted. The others feel she has gone rogue on them.

Tiffany tells us she had no intention of sitting on the block this week -- which she would have been if anyone else in the Cookout won. She wants to build her wins resume and BB is an individual game. The Cookout members are crying SELFISH! I should note that I understand they have a lofty goal but I have never seen another alliance so limiting to what the members can and cannot do.

Alyssa is upset that she's on slop and feels that she and Xavier will be on the block. Xavier is mad because he will likely be on the block for the third week. Ahem ... first time was a random roulette wheel spun by Alyssa, second was his own choice of a punishment for winning a veto he didn't need to win.

Claire thinks that she is definitely safe this week. Kyland tries to talk to Tiffany and now doesn't trust that she's a team player. @@

Derek whines because he's a Have Not and fell down first. He is acting all kinds of defeated and Azah tries to pep talk him. He feels hopeless in all the comps. Hannah tells them that Tiffany didn't want Kyland to win. She tells us them all aiming at each other is good for her own game. She says, after all, BB is an individual game. Heh.

Azah, Derek and Xavier talk. Xavier says that Tiffany and Kyland are playing in their own interest, not for the vision (Black person winning the show). He claims he keeps feeling shafted by them.

Xavier talks to Tiffany. He wants her to take out Claire. She tells him while she doesn't want to put him on the block but if he wins the Power of Veto, he would take her off. He tells us, quite selfishly I might add, that he will do just that to ruin her HOH.

Derek fusses to us that he will be faking it and cares nothing about going to see Tiffany's HOH room. He and Xavier sit together. Xavier tells us that it should have been Derek or Azah's moment. I say if Derek can't win a comp, he doesn't deserve the HOH! Tiffany, Claire and Hannah watch Kyland, Derek and Xavier being miserable in the living room.

Tiffany tells us that she is playing the game for herself more than the Cookout. She wants Claire to target the guys if she wins HOH next week. She wants the final four to be her, Claire, Hannah and Azah.

She talks to Alyssa who is pulling a real Audrey look in a hoodie, hood up and dark sunglasses. Tiffany tells her that she is considering her and Xavier to break up a pair. Alyssa, pretty wisely, points out that she is good at the end because she wouldn't have any jury votes -- her own allies went out pre-jury. She tells Tiffany that she would have targeted Kyland not her.

Time for the nominations. Tiffany first nominates Alyssa, then Xavier. She says it was a tough decision, not personal, both good game players.

BB23: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - Sept. 5

Well, this is one fine kettle of fish!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Chaotic Cats:

  • What a 24 hours it's been!
  • They had the ZingBot visit.
  • I want to make note that I don't care so much for ZingBot. I always have problems understanding what the robot is saying. Maybe if they changed the voice I would like it more. But you know they won't do that.
  • Of course, the ZingBot was blocked to the live feeds.
  • There were so many issues going on with Alyssa winning the veto that they didn't talk much about the zings.
  • Azah's zing seemed to have something to do with her unrequited feelings for Xavier. Apparently something was said about Xavier saying he would never date her.
  • She is upset that the public will know.
  • But we already know.
  • Then there's the Alyssa winning the veto chaos.
  • Xavier and Derek are all smug about it as they feel Tiffany has to put Claire up now and she will be evicted just like they wanted.
  • Xavier has become super controlling. It's rubbing me the wrong way.
  • He wants to hold onto his person, Alyssa, but is all ticked off that Tiffany wanted to hold onto hers for another week.
  • His behaviors go from smug to hissy fit over the last few days.
  • It does not look good on him.
  • Meanwhile, Derek (of all people) is the same way!
  • He told Azah he's been carrying her the whole game.
  • Say what?
  • He's been laying about on any soft surface, not winning comps, you name it!
  • To his credit, he cooks and cleans.
  • But so do others.
  • Azah figures the Claire will go on the block as a replacement.
  • She wants to be a vote for her to stay and wants to come clean as far as the Cookout goes.
  • If Claire goes up (probably more like when), the vote would be two to three to keep her.
  • Derek doesn't like that. They all need just ONE vote to stay! That's the PLAN!
  • How DARE Azah not follow direction after she has ridden his coattails all season!
  • @@
  • He thinks Tiffany should sit on the block with Alyssa next week to punish her for not following his and Xavier's "rules."
  • As for Tiffany, she has tried to figure any way she can to not put Claire on the block or, to save her if she does.
  • She really really doesn't want to hurt Claire.
  • But her hands are kind of tied due to the Cookout.
  • She feels that Claire would have gone this week if she hadn't won HOH and now she will go anyway. She was only buying Claire an extra week.
  • If she doesn't put Claire on the block she ruins any chance she ever had of winning the game. The Cookout would all vote against her.
  • If two Cookout members are at the end, the ones in jury would vote against her.
  • If one Cookout Tiffany and one non-Cookout are at the end, would the Cookout go against the ultimate goal and vote her out for spite?
  • Hmm. That is a highly unlikely scenario, though.
  • Right now I can only believe two Cookouts will be in the final two.
  • I surely don't want one to be Derek F. He is nasty and controlling when he has no grounds to be that way. I realize he apparently has a fan base, but in my opinion he should never have been on the show.
  • Now, Azah has done little as far as strategy and such. She's not winning comps. But, the difference is that she doesn't think she's all that and a bag of chips. I can't see her winning unless she miraculously starts winning comps and I doubt that will happen. But if it came down to her and Derek ... my vote would be for her to win.
  • Tiffany even thought of ways she could put Kyland on the block with Xavier but then she would face the wrath of whichever remained.
  • Right now her dilemma is to try to figure a way to make Claire think she's a pawn.
  • Sigh.
  • Hannah and Tiffany talked about ways to convince Kyland to vote out the strongest competitor Xavier but feel that will go nowhere.
  • The veto meeting is tomorrow.
  • Alas, I feel it's all written in stone already ...

Alyssa only got a tiny veto bracelet,
no necklace.

I'm not liking what he's becoming. Sigh.

Her name is not being brought up at all.

You're on BB, not Dr. Pimple Popper! Ew!

I do everything, Azah, and you do nothing!

I want to vote for Claire to stay!

BB23: Live Feeds Veto Winner Bulletin - Sept. 4

Well, we have a veto winner. They drew for veto players earlier today. In addition to Tiffany, Alyssa and Xavier, we had Azah, Derek and Hannah playing.

Alyssa won.

Oh my.

BB23: Live Feeds Nominations Bulletin - Sept. 3

The suspense is over. I mean, with all this expect the unexpected stuff going on, trying to guess who Tiffany would nominate for eviction was darn near impossible.

Yeah, right.

Xavier and Alyssa are on the block.

BB23: Live Feeds into Friday Morning - Sept. 3

Tiffany celebrates for her family and us

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Call a Wahmbulance:

  • Oh my. What a disgruntled house we have going on here.
  • As you know from my last post, Tiffany won HOH when Kyland, the other last in the comp, slipped and fell.
  • The Cookout is having hissy fits all over the place.
  • Apparently, the "order" of HOH wins was that Tiffany was supposed to throw the comp to let either Azah or Kyland win.
  • Shame on Tiffany for wanting to get a full-fledged HOH on her own merits!
  • She was like a rock up there.
  • At least they're not fussing that Derek F was supposed to win!
  • But he is absolutely miserable, cussing and whining.
  • He said he was asked in the interviews if he thought his weight might be an obstacle and he told them no.
  • Um. Now, he's a big fan of the show. He knows the comps. I'm a fan of the show. I know the comps. I know I would not be able to perform well in any of the physical ones these days and I don't want to set myself up for failure in the world public eye.
  • He thinks they were going to have new comps, a strength comp geared to him.
  • Um, no. That's not the way the world works.
  • He's whining (and cussing) that he feels picked on just like back in high school when he was picked on about his weight.
  • Give me a break!
  • That's what he said.
  • But I digress ...
  • The comps are NOT picking on him. They have been the standard expected BB comps we've seen before. A strength alone comp would directly gear the comp towards the men. While some comps favor men or women a bit, a strength comp would be totally unacceptable.
  • Derek is also acting like the three first down in the comp being Have Nots was aimed to target and be mean to him.
  • Xavier is passing along his theory that Claire was the secret HOH and threw the comp.
  • Now, I haven't heard her say it, but I think Claire threw it as third so she would be a Have Not and people wouldn't realize she threw it.
  • Xavier is sure that Tiffany is (once again) going to skip the order of things and put him and Alyssa up on the block when "it's Claire's turn to be evicted."
  • @@
  • If Tiffany had followed the planned order of things and threw the comp to either Azah or Kyland, she and Claire would be on the block with Claire as the target. It would be Claire out this week, Alyssa out next week.
  • While Kyland, Xavier and Derek all fussed and moaned about Tiffany's actions, none of them have caught onto the fact that Hannah is working with Tiffany.
  • They do think the women are starting to work against the men in the Cookout.
  • Tiffany is definitely leaning toward and most likely will nominate Xavier and Alyssa.
  • Xavier is angry that he is the new Britini on the block, the Cookout puppy dog as he calls it. Never mind that one was the random spin of a roulette wheel and he did the second nomination himself winning the veto with the choice of punishments.
  • He says he wants to see what happens if Alyssa comes down.
  • He's right there.
  • If Tiffany was playing her own game for herself, it would not make sense to put Claire up as a replacement.
  • Since she is kind of locked into playing the Cookout game, if she put another Cookout member (probably Kyland or Derek) up there, she would lose jury votes.
  • Heh.
  • They still have two non-Cookout people in the game and they are already falling apart.
  • Too bad, so sad.
  • But, without a doubt, more interesting than last week!
  • In other news, they think ZingBot is due (and they're right) and they think there has to be a double eviction coming soon as the numbers don't mesh.
  • Nominations will be later today.

It was supposed to be Azah or me! Wah!

Still comp messy, Xavier is ticked off
 that Tiffany won. Wah!

None of these comps are made for me! Wah!

I'm the smallest and a Have Not again?!?! Wah!
