BB23: Live Final Four Eviction Show Blog Party - Sept. 23

Welp, we're getting down to the wire. It's the final four about to become the final three tonight. We will see the Power of Veto ceremony in which Xavier can save someone ... or not. And, then whoever is NOT on the block is the sole vote and has to vote right in front of them! The power! But also the stress for that person! There is a show tomorrow night at 8PM EDT/PDT, then on Sunday as well. The season finale is next Wednesday, the 29th.

I'll be live blogging and constantly updating this entry with the latest happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- I hope to see you there!

Julie is wearing a shiny red dress and ... we're into the "Previously On" segment. ah, good -- we will see Tiffany and Hannah at the Jury House.

Day 79 and Julie promises us the final three. But we knew that. We go right into Derek's big dilemma ... Azah or Kyland or even ending up on the block himself. Good. He needs the stress. He's only had the stress of laying around and failing at every comp all season. Kyland, rightfully, is very uneasy. He is right -- he's been working and having to make decisions while Derek has not all summer.

Now Derek is whining to both Azah and Xavier. Azah is nervous but she really hasn't had the risks so far in the game that Kyland has had. She offers to off Kyland if Xavier takes her off the block. Derek is worried that going back on his word will look bad on his "resume." Um. What resume is that?

Derek thinks he has done so much more in the game than Azah. Um. Really. I've watched the live feeds all summer. You did NUTHIN' Derek. I'm sorry. I just can't get over how delusional he is! Neither him nor Azah have played the game well and they only made it this far due to Xavier wanting a sure win. Once again, the show is editing him to be something other than he is.

Xavier tells us he is considering having Azah come down because she will definitely do his bidding and vote out Kyland.

Tiffany enters the Jury House. She is a bit nervous about how they will take the reasoning behind the Cookout. She shows them the HOH when Kyland wins. Then the Veto comp. Alyssa thinks Kyland wants to take Xavier to the final two. Tiffany explains Day One Cookout and how she didn't want to go after anyone of color. First it was an understanding, then the name. It was a team goal to have the first Black winner. She tells them about the duo Master Plan.

Hannah arrives. She plays the DVDs of the HOH and Veto. Tiffany has it right ... Xavier will put himself against an easy win.

To the living room ...

Xavier does not use the POV.

Azah - Thanks God, shout outs. Big D, underestimated and overlooked, true best friend, love you.

Kyland - Shout outs. Derek - so thankful for all of you, what we have done is in my heart. Would mean the world for me ...

Derek - Loves both on a personal level, played for myself. Evicts Kyland. Kyland is not happy with Xavier. Ohh ... almost a fight as Kyland brings up the bad example he's setting for his nephew!

Julie announces doubling the prize for AFP - 50K. Vote by text 97979 houseguest name.

Tomorrow night the final three hear from their families. Sunday is Part One of the HOH. Wednesday, an hour later than usual, two hour season finale.

BB23: Live Feeds into Thursday - September 23

Well, at least she can still laugh

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boring Bandicoots:

  • I still don't have much for you.
  • Things remain the same.
  • Although Azah has been chomping at the bit for Xavier to save her with the veto saying she would have no problem evicting Kyland, it looks like Xavier will stick with Derek to do the dirty deed.
  • Although Derek has been hesitant, he will do whatever Derek wants.
  • Being delusional as he is, Derek actually seems to think he has a chance to win against Xavier.
  • I typed that with a straight face.
  • But now I'm guffawing.
  • Seriously, he thinks he has done so much in the game.
  • The others have been just acting as enablers.
  • Derek had no real idea how the final HOH three-part comp worked. He thought all three could play in all three parts.
  • @@
  • Kyland has been assured by Xavier that he's okay.
  • However, he fears he's not okay.
  • Yep, keep fearing, buddy. Your bro whose butt you saved at times is going to have his minion Derek wipe you out.
  • I'm not the only one picking up on Derek constantly digging in his ears.
  • Azah asked him if he got some sexual gratification from digging in his ears!
  • Bwahaha!
  • Derek has been practicing his speech against Xavier in the final two.
  • They have been napping, cooking, eating and playing cards.
  • That's all she wrote.

Why, Azah? Why? He is USING you.

They've killed Kyland! Oh? He's just stretching?

Exciting Go Fish card games

Digging in his ear ... again. Disgusting habit!

BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - Sept. 22

Here we are -- the final Power of Veto comp of the season! And, it's the most important one, too. After all, we have one HOH and two nominees ... the fourth person is the sole vote that decides the final three. Unless the HOH wins the veto, that is. Still it's just that one vote. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see that vote happen until tomorrow's live show. But, maybe.

I will be live blogging and constantly updating this post as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

Previously On is being ignored by me as per usual. We pick up the action after the nominations ceremony. Xavier nominated Azah and Kyland and tells us he wants to go to the final two with Derek.

Derek tells us he wants to go to the final three with Xavier and Kyland and is sad that he might have to vote out Azah. He tells her that he has final two deals first with Xavier, then Kyland. He's messing with his ear again. That habit is disgusting! Azah is upset that it sounds like a final three deal with the guys.

Derek tells Kyland that he's in a bad spot with Azah and told her he had previous deals. Kyland tries to tell him that he (Ky) is in a worse spot than he is -- he's worried about making it to final three while Derek is worried about final two. Kyland has a point. Derek is annoying for someone carried by others the whole game.

Xavier is talking to Azah and tells her that Kyland is a strong competitor and he's not certain about how that would work out. He tells us that his odds of winning against either Azah or Derek are so much better.

Ohh ... Kyland tells Derek he has done for him but Derek hasn't done much for him at all. Derek tells Kyland that their final two deal is dead until after veto. Kyland tells him he would be best to leave the conversation and leaves the room.

Segment on bad habits. Kyland sniffing tortillas and other things throughout the house.

Derek talks with Xavier. Xavier tries to plant seeds to vote out Kyland. He says they can both beat Azah. Derek tells us he really wants to honor the final three deal with Xavier and Kyland. Xavier has hinted quite boldly that he would prefer a final three with Azah rather than Kyland.

Xavier chooses Azah to see the CSI screening he won with the HOH comp. He says he chose her because her HOH was so short.

Derek apologizes to Azah for making her think he didn't care or didn't have her back.

Time for the veto comp. BB Winning Days. The backyard is seesaws, they have to walk down and fill the veto cart with balls adding up to the number of days different comps were won. First is the day they met OTEV. Last player to answer gets a strike, two strikes is out. Azah is first on the first round, then Kyland. Then Xavier. Derek was last and got a strike.

Second was the day BB NFT appeared on Memory Wall. Xavier first, Azah, Derek ... Kyland gets a strike.

Round three -- Day Christian won his second veto comp. Xavier, then Azah, Derek ... Kyland eliminated.

Round four -- the day the oven caught on fire. Azah isn't sure of the day, neither does Xavier. Derek isn't really sure. Pigs are flying ... Derek was first, then Xavier, Azah gets a strike.

Round five - day the first Wild Card comp played. Derek AGAIN first, Xavier second, Azah eliminated.

Round six -- the day the Cookout became the final six in the house. XAVIER WINS THE POWER OF VETO!

Kyland feels very vulnerable and cries in the DR. He kept Xavier safe. Will Xavier do the same for him? He feels paranoid. Xavier comes in and tells him there is to be no veto talk today, saving them for tomorrow. Kyland tells him he doesn't know why they would need to talk. Xavier is sidestepping Kyland's questions.

Neither Kyland nor Azah feel really safe with Derek being the sole vote. The veto meeting will be on tomorrow's live show.

Survivor 41: Season Premiere Blog Party

Are y'all ready? Tonight's show is two hours (leading into Big Brother). Since it is so long and I will probably have a lot to write about, the blog pool match-ups as well as images/names of the new castaways are at THIS LINKED POST. That post can be used as a cheat sheet until we get used to the names!

I will try to keep updating the best I can through tonight's show as it airs here on the East Coast -- it's always hard until I get the names down and I won't really have the luxury of checking out my own cast cheat sheet while updating! Refresh this page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

It sounds like we're in for some changes according to Jeff. And, I'm not just talking the 26 instead of 39. They're running clips of the new castaways. Tiffany was an alternate. Except for her, all the others were in a holding pattern during the pandemic. The tribes are being boated to a barge already wearing the color buffs. Naseer learned English by watching Survivor from season 21 on.

Jeff asks them if calling them all "guys" is okay. No one objects. I don't object either. As long as he doesn't call them all "dudes." He tells them it's a shorter season, very meager supplies -- one machete, one flint, no rice. Gameplay has never been more dangerous.

They have to find their color-coded six paddles, get in tribe boat, go retrieve flint. Only one tribe gets the machete and flint. The others get nothing. Yase (yellow) can't even find their paddles! Ua (green) pulled out in front of Luvu (blue) who didn't release one of their anchors. Oops! Ua wins the machete and flint!

Ua is pulling together nicely. Jairus, one of the child castaways (born 2001) even made fire. Yase has to choose between two tasks. If they complete one they can earn supplies. The physical challenge has them filling barrels with ocean water, only two in there. David who wanted the savvy challenge (solving a triangle riddle) rather than sweat got drafted. He's not happy. On Luvu, they also go for the water hauling.

Genie has been married to her wife for 25 years. Ricard is married to his transgender pregnant husband and they have a daughter. On Luvu, Danny and Deshawn carry the water AND search for idols! Uh-oh ... Naseer sees them and tells the others! Nothing like putting targets on their backs on the first day!

Liana and Evvie are bonding. Yase's Abraham is already pointing out what he perceives as weaknesses on his tribe. Heck, they were ALL weak if they missed that paddle!

Jairus is called JD. He is working with Brad already. JD seems to be rubbing many the wrong way and Ricard and the women already have him on their radar.

Both tribes finished the water challenge. One of the women tell Danny and Deshawn that Naseer told them they were looking for idols so now they decide that Naseer needs to go first.

Luvu has a visitor which needs one of them to go with him. Danny volunteers. Xander goes for Yase. JD pulls rocks with his tribe and ends up getting the odd rock.

The three see a sign telling them to go to the summit and get to know each other. JD tells us he was picked on while growing up. His Survivor "heroes" like Ozzy and Woo gave him inspiration.

At the top of the summit, a sign directs them to separate and make a decision. They can protect their vote, risk their vote. If all choose the first all stays the same. Risk has them risk to get an extra vote. Danny wants Protect. It doesn't show what the other two decided.

Danny tells his tribe the truth. Xander risked it and told his tribe. He said he did it for the team. JD tells them he protected his vote. They all think he's lying.

First Immunity Challenge is at hand. The game must be afoot. Ricard brings up that he doesn't like "guys." Jeff is happy. He won't say it again. He tells them of a new twist at Tribal. Shot in the Dark. Don't vote, reach in for a 1 in 6 shot for safety in the voting booth.

Over and under obstacles to sled, load puzzle pieces, clear track, pull up track and two members solve puzzle. Two losing tribes go to Tribal, two going home. Both losing tribes lose their flint.

LUVU wins Immunity! Ua and Yase have to give Jeff their flints.

Tiffany and Liana want to target Abraham while Abraham wants David and Xander to target Tiffany. They bring in Evvie who acts like she agrees. Evvie works on David to switch the target to Abraham. Tiffany knows her name is out there. She goes looking for an idol. Jeff shows us where he hid it and she goes right by it.

Sara is crying on her tribe. Ricard is pushing for JD to go. He talks to the others and they all seem to be on board. Brad comes along and says JD is strong and the weak players are Shantel and Sara.

Yase and Ua head off to Tribal Council to face Jeff's Probsting questions. First up is Yase. In answer Abraham talks about moving on with the strengths. Tiffany says he talks around in circles. Jeff starts asking and talking about the Shot in the Dark. Xander collects his extra vote at the booth.

Jeff goes to tally the votes. Tiffany, Abraham, Abraham, Abraham, Abraham. That's four, enough. Abraham is the first out. He didn't see it coming at all but it's all his fault.

Ua goes in. Jeff congratulates them on the first win they had from the vote. JD again says he protected his vote. Hmm. Jeff brings up to Sara about the puzzle piece she accidentally left in the bag which cost them the challenge. Uh-oh ... whispering while JD is talking. Sara and Shan were the names out there. Whoa! Ricard just whispered to JD to vote Brad! They all bring their dice for Shot in the Dark. YES! JD was lying! He has the extra vote!

Jeff tallies the votes. Ricard, Sara, Brad, Sara, Sara. Sara is voted out.
