BB25: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - Sept. 20

Good evening! Make sure you have your beverages and snacks nearby. For some reason, there is no show scheduled for next Tuesday although the Wednesday night time block goes completely Survivor and The Amazing Race. Supposedly, the BB veto show moves to Tuesdays. Remember ... the Thursday live eviction shows are now an hour earlier, 8PM ET/PT.

We have America and Cody on the block. Will someone win the veto and actually use it to save one of the nominees? Will they really try to backdoor Cameron? Ohh ... the suspense! (Please no live feeds info in comments!)

I will be live blogging the show as it airs here on the East Coast. I'll be updating regularly -- please refresh the page to get the latest updates. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

As my usual, I'm sitting out the Previously On segment.

We pick up the action after the nominations ceremony. Jared tells us that he plans to backdoor Cameron. America thinks it's romantic to be put on the block with her showmance. Um. That's weird. Jared tells her that Cameron is his main target.

Jared goes on to tell everyone that Cameron is his target.

Cory and America talk to Cameron. Cam wants one of them to pick him if they get Houseguest Choice. He will take one down and be safe himself if he plays and wins.

Jag tells Blue about Jared being in another alliance without her. He warns her that her proximity to Jared will hurt her. She goes to Jared about it. He tells her that Four Real Four Real was never a real alliance. He keeps telling her it's nothing important, not a big deal and tells her to calm down. He told her to stop raising her voice when she wasn't at all. He kept lying and being nasty to her for asking.

Mecole and Felicia talk. She thinks people are playing the both of them and they should bond. She tells Felicia that Cirie and Jared never planned to save her. Felicia is very upset with Cirie. They make a final two decision.

Jag, Matt and Blue talk, recognizing both sides of the house. Blue tells them she now realizes Jared lied to her. She will only tell him a handful of things. She will keep him as long as possible but then cut. She only really trusts Matt and Jag.

Jag tells Matt that to move forward they will have to work with Cory and America. Matt tells us he is close to Cirie, but Jag is his ride or die.

Jag talks to Cory and America. They want Cam out this week, then ... who can't play next week? They say Cameron has to get backdoored.

Veto players pick time! Jared draws Bowie Jane. Ciry draws Houseguest Choice, chooses Jag. America draws Cameron. (Not quite what really happened -- America first drew Jag, but had to redraw, then got Cameron.)

Cirie tells Jared if Cameron wins and takes America down, put her (Cirie) up and let her go. She thinks that might help Jared's game. He tells her no. He tells us he would never put his mother on the block.

Veto comp time. The olayers have footbal jerseys on. It's the ScrambleVerse. Huge feet spraying sweat, fill up helmets to run to fill up receptacle. It's a one at a time comp. America is up first.

Cory is up next. Bowie Jane next. She tells us she wants to win and slips/slides all over the place. Jag next. Jared up next. Then Cameron.

The results: Top 3. Jared 6 minutes. Cameron 5.22. Jag 4.43. JAG wins! He will surely save either Cory or America. Cam thinks he can convince Jag to keep him off the block. He tells Jag, Jared and Matt that if he goes, they would be next. He pushes for a Cory eviction. He tells them he holds true to his deals and he's a warrior.

Time for the veto meeting. Jag saves Cory. Jared puts Cameron on the block.

Survivor 45: Cast and Stuff

Unfortunately, I've been ill and haven't had a chance to really delve into the cast of Survivor 45. The show premieres next Wednesday evening at 8PM ET/PT. All episodes will be 90-minutes and it will be followed by The Amazing Race, also airing 90-minutes. The Big Brother veto show moves to Tuesday nights but there is no BB veto show scheduled for the 26th, only the Sunday and Thursday shows.

I found an article on Parade.com with in-depth interviews with each castaway that you might want to read. This link to that article is this here linked link.

While there definitely seems to be great diversity of cultures, once again we see a rather young cast. Bruce, the one who was taken out by medical for a head injury in the first episode of Survivor 44 within the first 12 hours of the show, is returning. But he and only one other castaway, a woman named Julie, are in their late 40s. Everyone else is more than a decade, most of them two decades or more, younger. Hmm.

A blog pool will be opening up for the castaways soon. Stay tuned! As usual, the first boot will be reassigned.

Austin Li Coon, age 26

Brandon "Brando" Meyer, age 23

Brandon Donlon, age 25

Bruce Perreault, age 47

Dee Valladares, age 26

BB25: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Sept. 19

Jared tells all to her. She tells Matt and Jag.

Once again, my apologies. I have really been whammed with some kind of super cold/virus thing. I did test negative for Covid, so that was good. But now that I've stopped constantly coughing, I can type once again! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of A Deranged Despot:

  • The tides have turned in the house.
  • It started with the Cory/Jared brouhaha-ish on the Izzy eviction day in which Jared's outright lies were exposed.
  • And it continues, exposing lies of Cirie's now as well.
  • How did that happen?
  • Well, the fool Jared tells everything that Cirie says to him in confidence to Blue who, in turn, tells Matt and Jag.
  • Also, due to Jared being "with" Blue, Cirie trusts her to an extent, as well.
  • For example, Cirie and Jared talked about how they think Matt and Jag have been throwing comps and they're likely to throw the HOH comp Thursday.
  • Now they won't throw it! Blue told them they were expecting them to throw it.
  • Felicia has now turned on Cirie as she found out that she (Felicia) is being blamed for saying a lot of things that actually came from Jared and Cirie.
  • The main target after Cam goes will be Jared. If they can't get Jared out, they will settle for Cirie out.
  • Although a few days ago, Felicia brought up the idea of a double eviction this week with Cirie, that thought seems to have passed and no one has mentioned it lately.
  • The plan for the next HOH (in which Jared can't play), is to get Jared out.
  • I think that would be the best thing for Cirie's game at this time. However, the damage her kid has done might be irreparable.
  • Of course, with the double it could be Jared and then Cirie.
  • The only comp thing in Cirie's favor is that she studies people and the house. She knows the comp wins, etc. But in a physical comp, her only real competition for a loss is Felicia.
  • On a sad note, I was watching when Matt was in the bathroom talking with America, Cory and Jag. They kept whispering. At one point, he just came out saying that he couldn't take the whispers. "It's so annoying," he said, abruptly leaving the bathroom.
  • He ended up going to the HOH room alone for a good cry in frustration. That was last night.
  • He told Felicia today that all the whispering in the house was just too much. He's getting headaches and can't concentrate on everyone's lips at the same time.
  • On good Matt notes, Felicia told him that it's a great thing he's doing by being on the show and perhaps attracting other deaf people into trying out for reality shows. Plus, Cirie gave him praise and told him he would do well when he told her he'd like to get into modeling.
  • Cirie has been going around trying to mend fences with others. But can she keep up when Jared bulldozes those fences right down? I don't know.
  • Oh? What about Cam?
  • Well, he did start CAMpaigning (get it?) today.
  • For what good that will do.
  • Everybody except Mecole just nodded and didn't say much at all.
  • Mecole talked to the camera (us) about it. She would rather America go. But she was trying to figure out the votes. She would need five votes to flip it. Since there are eight voting, Jared would have the tiebreaker if 4-4.
  • Other than just trivial non-game talk today, most of the talk was who would win HOH and what would they do.
  • It's as if Cameron is already gone and they've moved on.
  • At this time, the most solid two in the house are Matt and Jag.
  • The showmances not so much.
  • I don't think we will have much of a Waffle Wednesday tomorrow.
  • Laters!

The Minutemen

Will he go out in the double?

Cory! Your mother is watching!

Home alone if America goes out first.

Cam knows Thursday will be POW to him.

BB25: Live Feeds Power of Veto Meeting Update - Sept. 18

The Unreliables with a cast change.

You'll have to excuse the short update, please.

  • It was (of course) determined that Jag would use the veto to save either Cory or America.
  • Jag left it up to them as when Cameron went up as the renom, he would definitely be voted out.
  • Jag said if they can't decide, he will remove Cory because Cory chose him as Houseguest Choice to play the veto.
  • After imbibing wine last night, America told Jag to take Cory down.
  • Cam knew the minute that Jag won the veto that he was sunk.
  • Other than several times sitting alone looking pensive, he's been okay.
  • He said he will try to stay but will go out with dignity. I guess we will see.
  • The live feeds were blocked for the veto ceremony.
  • Cameron is on the block and it seems like it is indeed against America.

Dead man eating pizza.

BB25: HOH and Nominations Show Blog Party - Sept. 17

Good evening. Just to give you a heads up -- I'm not feeling well tonight. I seem to have caught some kind of bug. As a result, my live-blogging of the show won't be up to its usual self. I'm also not thrilled that the show isn't starting until 10:30PM ET, either.

My apologies in advance. Oh, and now I'm hearing 10:50PM ET for the start of the show. Sigh.

At least the show tonight is the wall comp which I did cover on the live feeds a few days ago.

We will get to see part of the blow-up between Jared and Cory the day Izzy got evicted.

But we're to the wall first. Oops, back to before the vote. Jared lies to Matt and tells him Jag said they were keeping Felicia. Cory thinks it doesn't make sense that Jag would say anything. Matt blows intel on alliances to Jared. Then Cory gets involved. There is shouting going on. Cory exposes Jared's lies to him as Jared tries to over shout him. Cory did expose Jared's lies and how he lied throwing Jag under the bus.

Back to the comp. Cirie out first in less than ten minutes. Felicia down in just under 19 minutes. America 21 minutes out. Mecole out 27 minutes. Cory 28 minutes out. Jag 35 minutes. Matt 37 minutes. Blue down 43 minutes followed by Bowie Jane.

JARED wins the HOH! He calls his mother "bro" while hugging her. Eep.

Cameron doesn't feel as uneasy as he thinks others feel.

Matt and Cameron's punishments are over.

Jared tells Cirie that he wants to nominate America and Cory with a backdoor plan of Cameron.

Nominations ceremony ... that's just what he does. Cory, then America are nominated.
