BB18: Live Feeds into Friday, HoH Winner - August 19

WHO won HoH? Really?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Goopy Gaddabouts:
  • I'm glad I didn't stay up waiting for action. The feeds were blocked for more than they were shown since the live show ended.
  • While the feeds were indeed blocked a long time, they were active after the show ended.
  • Not much of any real importance happened.
  • Natalie was upset that someone (Paulie, maybe?) called her a "princess" when she's had to work hard for everything in life coming from a family with little money. (Definitely Paulie as revealed when she mentioned it again post-comp.)
  • Paul went on about how that envelope called his name.
  • @@ (Although I did find it fitting that he had the right one since he was the first to figure out the clues.)
  • James and Natalie talked about not really trusting Paul.
  • They do trust Victor, though. Hmm ... they probably made a good call there. Victor is a bit malleable; he'd more than likely be able to listen to them than Paul would be. They think Paul is bringing down Victor's game.
  • Then the feeds were down ... like FIVE hours!
  • But they did finally return and I was able to catch up.
  • Oh my.
  • NATALIE won HoH!
  • And it was even a tough comp!
  • It was a goopy search for stuff -- in the dark most likely comp.
  • Paul claims he didn't give 100% because he didn't want that stuff in his beard.
  • Victor went on and on to Natalie about how great she must feel winning a comp on her own. He said it wouldn't have been the same feeling if he "gave" her the comp in which they were vying for the win.
  • So far the HoH room reveal hasn't happened, nor the announcement of the co-HoH from America's Care Package.
  • Natalie told James that she made a promise to Nicole that she and Corey would be safe or, at least, both won't be put up together. Hmm. It really doesn't leave a lot of possibilities. Paul? (Probably.) Michelle? Hmm. Corey, not Nicole? Hmm.
  • It's kind of unclear who she will nominate.
  • We'll see!
  • Victor is freaking out about the goopy mess in the shower and has started cleaning.
Goopy stuff

There she is ... Ms. HoH!

He would have hated the goop

BB18: Live Eviction Show, HoH Blog Party - August 18

Are we ready for this? I know I'm SO ready! Although conspiracy theories abound, let's see what happens. We do have to realize that the odds of getting the return trip are better now than in weeks gone by.

Zakiyah Everette - Tilde, Jo C, Jenng326, Ayana, jennifer
Bridgette Dunning - Brian, Indiana Jane, Caela, Chauncey, Paula Bell

Let's get this party started!

Julie mentions that Paulie has been running the house most of the summer, but he might be run out of the house tonight. Then into recap.

There will be a jury segment tonight as well as the first BB baby - Rachel and Brendon's new baby.

Paulie segment, a slice of humble pie. Victor is gleeful in the DR. Corey wants to play it cool to save his own game. Paulie says he won't campaign against Corey. Paulie talks to James, made sacrifices to come here, tears up when a butterfly flies by him. Then it's pie-making time. He refuses to go. He decides to exercise instead. Corey pep talks him. He goes to make a pie.

Paulie goes to Natalie. He apologizes for his sharp tongue. She tells us the apology is strategy, not sincere.

Then he talks to Paul. He thinks if he can make people feel bad for him, he might gather the votes to stay. He pleads for a sympathy vote. Paulie acts like he just might do it.

Then he hits up James for a sympathy vote. James doesn't really know what to do, doesn't want to mess it up. He thinks two big targets going after each other might be good for his game.

He hits up James and Natalie together next. He promises to work for them, do their will if he stays in the game.

Brenchal introduce their baby, Adora Vega. Cute. Lots of clips of Brenchal. Rachel thinks the women need to get their act together. Brendon thinks that it's crazy the veterans aren't working together and thinks Paul has the best chance to win the game.

Jury segment -- DaVonne did NOT want to see Zakiyah, but she's there! She's shocked Paulie didn't save Zakiyah with the veto. Then Bridgette arrives. All three want Paulie to arrive next.

Finally eviction time!
Paulie -- Loves family, love all the houseguests, will hang out with all, one by one, LONG brief statement, sheesh. Kisses Michelle.
Corey -- Love all, great time, vote how you will. Nicole is the most harmless snake he's ever met.

The votes to evict:
Michelle -- Paulie
Paul -- Paulie
James -- Paulie
Natalie -- Paulie
Nicole -- Paulie

It's unanimous. Paulie is evicted. Um, he picks up Julie. Not cool. The envelope -- ONE WAY TICKET. (Okay, conspiracy theorists, put that in your pipe and smoke it.)

Ah, after commercial they're going to reveal who has the round trip pass. Note that tonight was the last time it could be used.  PAUL has the ticket. Not that it does any good.

Julie says goodnight to them without HoH.

Julie just announced the HOH comp begins tomorrow night (apparently at the end of the special?). She said the first five jurors will compete for one of them to get back in the game as the next big twist.

SPECIAL NOTE: I just went to the live feeds. There's a banner saying the feeds will be down until 10pm or 11pm PT. Unfortunately, I have to go to work in the morning. It should be the HoH comp and, hopefully, I'll post the results/happenings in the early morning East Coast time.

BB18: Live Feeds Overnight into Thursday - August 18

Still trying for sympathy votes

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Sorry Not Sorry:
  • Nicole headed to bed early, so was missing from the overnight "action." (Or lack thereof.)
  • The highlight of the late evening was Paul doing impressions of his fellow hamsters via Baldwin, the eagle puppet. He was entertaining indeed. Coincidentally, the timing was during the time BBAD airs.
  • That was a hoot until he decided to do production, "You are NOT allowed to talk about production!"
  • It went downhill from there.
  • Corey, Paulie and Michelle sat in one room discussing everything under the sun including make-up.
  • Of course, once Corey finally left for bed, Paulie hit on Michelle for a sympathy vote or even a regular vote. He told her the others told him that if he could get three votes together, let them know.
  • Like that's gonna happen.
  • In another room, there was Paul, Victor, James and Natalie hanging out, also talking many small talk topics.
  • They're all talking about running around the country visiting each other. Apparently, earning a living isn't a huge thing on their list of stuff to do. No wonder they can take the time to be on BB!
  • Michelle doesn't think she'll be able to go to Vegas with them all because she has nothing in the bank.
  • Well, I would guess that the stipend may change that a bit.
  • But, for the most part, neither she nor Natalie really think of the future and being out on their own. Yet they both owe for college loans. Hmm.
  • Victor and company talked about how Corey has no strategy of his own in the game -- he does whatever Paulie wants.
  • They also talked about how Paulie ran a block of votes for most of the game -- Zakiyah, Corey, Nicole and himself.
  • Natalie said Nicole was mocking her at the party (when the feeds were blocked).
  • Paulie pushed for Michelle to open her envelope to see if her ticket was one-way or return. She's worried that BB will extend the expiration and said no.
  • Good.
  • Paulie needs to stop that.
  • Paulie also told Michelle that she should team up with Nicole and Corey when/if he leaves.
  • Corey told her he wouldn't put her on the block.
  • Hmm.
  • Michelle didn't commit to doing anything with them. She keeps trying to change the topic.
  • Paulie told her that if Victor isn't evicted, he'll steamroll through the game.
  • Well, wasn't that the situation with Paulie himself?
  • Tonight, tonight ... we get action tonight ...

Really wants to win HoH

Long talks about little

My strategy is to win comps and dodge bullets

He just needs to stop trying to be a character

BB18: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - August 17

The Odd Couple

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Brother, Can You Spare a Vote:
  • Yes, they continue to be boring.
  • Paulie continues to bake pies and even has gotten quite proficient at the task.
  • But he does 'em all reluctantly.
  • Now his latest, along with the sick aunt, is going for sympathy votes.
  • Um, dude, no way will Nicole give you a sympathy vote. Why ever would you even think she'd vote out Corey?
  • Victor and Michelle talked about Nicole and Corey being the next targets.
  • No surprises there.
  • Victor claims that he said things joking with them which Nicole has now turned around against him. He thinks they're portraying him in a bad light.
  • Michelle can't understand why people didn't like Jozea; she was sad to see him go.
  • @@
  • Every time they mentioned the concert/carnival thing and prizes won, BB shut them down.
  • Nicole cried. Evidently, recording the goodbye message to Corey got her all emotional ... even though they all know it will be Paulie leaving.
  • Well, maybe if he gets all those sympathy votes he's going for ...!
  • I never understand why, in just about every season, they leave food out all over. Every year they have ant issues. And, today, I saw a housefly landing on and crawling around on food. Paulie ignored the fly. If I see a fly in my apartment and the cat doesn't go for it, I immediately get it gone! And, I don't leave open food or perishables sitting around.
  • You can tell I'm bored when I talk about murdering houseflies.
  • I guess that's it for now.

Victor has an odd laugh. Really.

Surprised she's still here

A fly on the pie plate. Ew!

Talking friendship

BB18: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 17

Hamster watchers ready? Ready for some zings? Let's get this show going!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be constantly updating this entry. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please join in on the fun there as we watch the show together!

Recap, recap. ZingBot is back! But we knew that.

Victor tells us that Paulie is his target, Corey is just guilty be association. Paulie cries. He's a champion, y'know. He says it's full on beast mode from now on. I guess he can't come up with anything original. Both Paulie and Corey confront Victor. Heh. Paulie argues and Victor holds his ground.

Nicole is worried that she and Corey are both guilty by association and feels scared. Paul tells Paulie he had nothing to do with it. Paulie figures out he's all alone in the house. Too bad, so sad.

Then Paulie cries to Corey. Literally. Tears and all. He never wanted to put Corey in harm's way and tells him he'll use the veto to save him. Yeah, right.

Veto player picks time! Victor draws Paul. Paulie draws Houseguest's Choice. He chooses Nicole. (She tells us she will take Corey off the block.) Corey draws James. Natalie will host.

The others decide to rattle Paulie up before the comp -- Paul, James, Michelle -- so he won't perform well. They decide they'll call him out on things. Paul tells him that he doesn't think he (Paulie) never really had his back. Michelle calls him a manipulator. Paulie gets all defensive. Michelle tells him he's never going to be like Cody and Derrick. James called out Paulie on sexist comments. Heehee -- Michelle walks behind him making explosion noises and gestures to symbolize "blowing up his game."

ZingBot arrives and gets them all out of bed.

Corey - What do you call a man who sweeps Nicole off her feet? Hayden.
Victor - Called a douchebag in Spanish.
James - You love to scare people, the ones you scare the most are Natalie's parents.
Paulie - Less attractive, less charming, lesser person than Cody.
Big Meech - Sleeps all day, cries all night and can't stop throwing up.
Natalie - Not the brightest bulb, lack in smarts make up for in armpit hair.
Nicole - Watching you on BB16, threw game away for showance, no chance of winning ... wait that's BB18.
Paul - You have a lot of catch phrases, here's one everyone will get behind -- shut up!

ZingBot tells them he's running for president and to meet him outside for the veto comp. "Make America Zing Again." All patriotic. United States of Zing. Series of rounds, catapulting a beanbag to a zing map for votes. It's the one they can take away prizes from the others.

Paulie -- 32 votes
Corey -- 28 votes
Paul -- 8 votes
James -- 31 Votes
Nicole -- 25 votes
Victor -- 18 votes

Paul is eliminated, wins Power of Veto

Second Round
Corey -- 27
James -- ?
Nicole -- 1
Victor -- ?
Paulie -- 10

Nicole out. Wins secret service duties. She trades with Paul.

Round three -- I won't announce the scores because I turn my head and Natalie doesn't announce them!

Corey is out, wins a vacation to any American destination. He takes the veto from Nicole.

Round four --
Paulie overshoots and gets a zero. He's out, wins a Patriot-tard. He takes the veto from Corey.

Final round --
James overshot, got a zero.

James won $5000. He holds onto it.

Victor wins apple pie baking all summer, he trades it for the veto from Paulie. More tears from Paulie.

Paulie is "devastated" and says he won't be baking apple pies.

Corey gets his patriot-tard, complete with a bald eagle hand puppet.

Paul got a suit, shades, and every time he hears the red alert, he has to pat down each of the others, then clear five checkpoints. He has fun with it.

Paulie gets his pie alert. He has to wave a ZingBot flag all the time it cooks. He's NOT having fun with it. He cries more in the Diary Room. Sobs even. He cries to Natalie and Paul, saying he wants to go home.

Cry me a river, Paulie boy ... then bake me a pie!

Veto meeting time. Paul's secret service red alert goes off during the meeting. What a shocker! Victor does NOT save either of them.

BB18: Live Feeds into Wednesday - August 17

Long boring Paul/Paulie talk.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boring Bakers:
  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  • Most slept.
  • There were long small talk sessions with Paulie and Michelle, Paul and Paulie, Paulie and both Michelle and Paulie.
  • Michelle asked Paulie what he thinks about make-up on girls.
  • Michelle and Paulie talked about towns with the same names in Michigan and New Jersey.
  • Paul and Paulie talked about running businesses -- Paul's "fashion" one and Paulie's gym.
  • You get where this is going, right?
  • Nowhere.
  • Hopefully things will perk up today.
  • We know tomorrow night will bring me some new fodder!

Michelle screws up cookie baking.

Nicole is worried, but he feels secure this week.

BB18: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - August 16

Enjoying the pool before lockdown.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Both Bored and Boring:
  • It was so boring in the BB18 house today!
  • How boring was it?
  • I actually watched Victor clipping his fingernails, mesmerized by his preciseness and wishing he had shown the camera a close-up of the finished product.
  • Well, maybe I'm embellishing a bit.
  • But I did watch him clip his fingernails for a couple of minutes.
  • It was either that or James napping.
  • They snacked.
  • They napped.
  • Victor and Paulie talked about how much more fun it could be if they all stayed awake more.
  • Paul did his secret agent rounds in between naps.
  • Paulie baked his pies on order.
  • Lots of small talk.
  • Natalie is worried that she won't be able to do the HoH comp on Thursday because her neck hurts more today than it did yesterday.
  • I still don't quite know how she hurt her neck in the shower.
  • Paulie and Victor worked out.
  • The others did not work out.
  • They need their rest, y'see.
  • They're not allowed to talk about the concert the other day.
  • James started to try to make a pie with Paulie's supplies and BB yelled at him to stop it.
  • So he went to nap some more.
  • Paulie made a pie dressed only in his apron.
  • The sight almost gave Michelle a heart attack. She quickly retreated.
  • Paulie's begging has calmed way down.
  • But he did take the time to tell James he could stay if he had his and Natalie's votes.
  • Ha.
  • He'll have their votes, alright.
  • Votes to LEAVE, that is!
  • Victor did a puppet show using Baldwin, Corey's patriot-tard stuffed hand puppet eagle.
  • I don't think my heart can take more of this excitement tonight.
  • In the morning, I'll bring you a new breathtaking live feeds report!

Day napping. The struggle is real.

The smaller table has arrived

What if he has the round trip ticket?

BB18: Live Feeds into Tuesday - August 16

Block bros

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pies and Spies:
  • Well, that was a boring late night.
  • Most went to sleep early, with a small snack crowd of James, Natalie, Paul and Paulie enjoying chips and pie in the wee hours.
  • It seems like Paulie has finished making his rounds of begging.
  • For now.
  • Victor will be really well-rested for the upcoming HoH comp (in which he can't compete) if he keeps sleeping so much in the solitude of the HoH room.
  • Nicole thinks that she and Corey have been unfairly targeted -- they've never done any of the manipulating and have won practically nothing.
  • Paulie can't understand why James went for the $5,000 instead of the veto because five grand is nothing!
  • Um, maybe it's a large sum to James. He doesn't earn a fortune, has a daughter to think about, pays for the roof over his head ...
  • ... and maybe, just maybe Paulie ... he did not want to win the veto! Why would he want to put himself in that situation knowing whatever he did with it, somebody would be mad at him?
  • Paulie also railed James (to Nicole and Corey) about knowing about the blindside in the double eviction and not telling them.
  • So, I guess everything is back to being James's fault in Paulie's twisted way of thinking.
  • Nothing is his fault.
  • He didn't win too many comps, putting a target on his back.
  • He didn't use a showmance as a mockery.
  • He didn't use his friends to put people on the block who threatened his game, not theirs.
  • Paulie once again extolled how great he can be at any comp they throw his way -- mental and physical.
  • After all, Victor's win this time was a crapshoot comp.
  • Paulie's latest mood of the moment is that he realizes he's going home, so he needs to "coach" Nicole and Corey.
  • Hey, if he can't influence the rest of them to do his bidding, maybe he can have success with the two.
  • Nicole told Michelle that she met Paulie once before the season. Apparently he made no real impression on her at the time. We got fish.
  • Michelle told Nicole that Paulie asked her to open her ticket envelope. She refused. They know that the last ticket will play on Thursday. I would guess it's probably safe for anyone not on the block to open theirs ... but not advisable and they're probably not supposed to open them before then. If she has the return trip ticket, Paulie would never leave her alone!
  • It sounds like the backyard concert/whatever had prizes and Paulie won some "cool crap" during it.
  • Maybe that's why he's not moping as much.
  • Michelle and Nicole discovered they only live about an hour apart.
  • Paulie doesn't like Jewish kids from North Jersey.
  • Y'see, you have to understand New Jersey is a bit odd. It's not a huge state, but it is the most densely populated one. Most of that population is in Central and North Jersey. South Jersey is like another world. Paulie is from Monmouth County, kind of shore/southish away from the main population. He's from the land of the shore and thoroughbred horse farms. North and Central Jersey are more metropolitan and more diverse. Yet Paulie's New Jersey is his world rather than the majority of the state.
  • Oh, well.
  • We're one day closer to eviction!

Paulie giving advice

Every pie gets better!

Patty cake, patty cake, baker's man ...

BB18: Live Feeds into Monday Evening, PoV Meeting - August 15

Can you bake an apple pie, Charming Paulie?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pitiful Paulie:
  • Despite his initial refusal threats with the pie baking punishment, Paulie's has been reluctantly baking pies.
  • I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't thought of spitting in them.
  • He is so not a happy camper.
  • Before the veto meeting, Paulie went on to Paul how, if saved, he would play his game to help him, lay down on the grenade if need be, sick aunt, and blah-blah-blah.
  • Pretty much the same talk he kept going for with Victor, except he wanted Victor to remove Corey from the block and put up Natalie.
  • Paul got his swimming Secret Agent Man costume -- it looks like they just cut the sleeves and the legs off the suit.
  • The Veto Meeting was held early.
  • Guess what?
  • Victor didn't use the veto and Paulie and Corey remain on the block!
  • How's that for a surprise?
  • Paulie thinks by approaching everyone begging for one more week and telling them it will be good for their games will work.
  • Um.
  • No.
  • Nicole went and told Paulie that she thinks Victor should have taken his deal.
  • Please don't encourage him!
  • Victor doesn't want to hear it anymore. His patience is wearing thin.
  • Paulie is still saying he won't stay in the jury house.
  • Paulie approached James and Natalie, making the same offers of working for them, will lay on the grenade when they tell him to, sick aunt, etc.
  • Victor got a notice from the Diary Room, gathered everyone together for an announcement.
  • The feeds were blocked for it, but we find these things out from later conversations anyway.
  • There's going to be a Ziggy Marley backyard concert for them!
  • (There's your Friday night show fodder.)
  • Uh-oh. Natalie hurt her neck or back in the shower somehow.
  • The feeds were blocked for the concert.
  • When they came back, Paulie's still begging.
  • Corey is ticked that Paulie is playing the sick aunt card.
  • And on it goes ...

Waving his flag while the pie bakes

The tailor must have made alterations

The Candy Corn Safety Witch

If he asks me one more time ...!

It's a game, Paulie, a GAME.

BB18: Live Feeds Overnight into Monday - August 15

He leads a life of danger

Here's the latest from that Big Brother House of Imminent Idiocy:
  • While Pathetic Paulie made his first BB pie on demand, he balked on the second.
  • After all, "Can't a man work out?"
  • Well, obviously, just judging on his behavior lately, he's yet to reach the "man" threshold. Yeah, boy, go make that pie!
  • He made a show of ignoring the BB voice and requests.
  • This SHOULD result in penalty votes.
  • Not that penalty votes will matter when there's no chance for him to stay this week and he keeps alienating people more and more.
  • Even Corey seems to be growing weary of trying to talk him into behaving like an adult instead of a spoiled little child who didn't get his way.
  • Corey, like James before him, reminded Paulie it's a GAME. He said he knows that unless he wins HoH, he's the next target. Corey told him the show fans don't want to see him acting this way.
  • (Actually, evil mean person that I am, I'm kind of enjoying seeing the meltdown.)
  • I think Corey talked more to pep Paulie up than I've seen him talk all season.
  • Paulie eventually made the second pie, waving his little flag for the entire time it took to bake and fussing that no one ate the first one.
  • Of course, Paulie's disobedience of the BB production got them all talking about it.
  • "You are NOT allowed to talk about production!"
  • Okay, I won't.
  • Paulie thinks he can convince Victor that he wants to put James up if he (Paulie) wins HoH.
  • What part of YOU WON'T WIN HOH BECAUSE YOU'RE BEING EVICTED THIS WEEK does he not understand?
  • Paulie's latest thing, other than he wanted the win money to pay off his parents' house, is that his aunt has cancer.
  • @@
  • No one believes him.
  • As a matter of fact, it's giving them even more ammo against him.
  • Michelle gave Corey kudos for convincing Paulie to do the second pie.
  • We'll see how the future pies go.
  • Paul is having a ball with his secret agent punishment.
  • But, to give Paulie a wee bit of credit, the secret agent gig is more fun than making pies.
  • That's all the credit he gets from me. Bake those pies!
  • Natalie, Victor and Paul talked about Paulie being a sore loser.
  • Y'THINK?!?!?!
  • Paulie revolves from saying he's "checked out" of the game, won't stay in jury to he's playing the game for his sick aunt.
  • We have another three days of this ahead.
  • The veto meeting is today.
  • It's just about 100% that the nominations will remain the same.
  • For those who don't know the Secret Agent Man lines I've been quoting, check the song out. Paul would get a kick out of the song, too!

The crying jags have stopped

Baldwin's beak comes in handy

Paulie Pie Boy also has a flag to wave

I gave him more of a chance than he gave me

BB18: Live Feeds into Sunday Evening - August 14

Ready to serve at any time

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Face It, You Got Got:
  • For the most part, it was in many ways a typical boring Sunday in the house.
  • Sundays have nothing going on except the anticipation of the upcoming PoV meeting tomorrow.
  • That anticipation doesn't really exist this week as the entire house expects Victor not to change his nominations.
  • The recurring theme of the day was Paulie begging.
  • He wants Victor to take Corey down and put him against Natalie.
  • Not gonna happen, Jersey Boy!
  • Everybody, especially Victor, is sick of Paulie's behavior. He went from being quasi-aggressive to sulking to begging.
  • Victor remained very reasonable with him, pointing out that changing Natalie for Corey would reap the same outcome -- Paulie would go home.
  • Paulie claims it would give him hope because he wouldn't be there with his "best friend."
  • Give me (and Victor) a break!
  • You got got, Paulie.
  • Victor reminded Paulie that he was given a chance to play for veto and he lost. Victor didn't have such a chance when Paulie blindsided him.
  • Apparently the stipend is a big thing for Victor. He mentioned it a few times that had he gone home when evicted, the "paychecks" would stop while Paulie continues to get paid through jury.
  • Victor vented a bit to the HoH room camera that he's really getting sick of Paulie's begging.
  • Paulie told James that he'd only stay in jury a few weeks, if that long.
  • After all, he has claustrophobia (that doesn't affect him in the smaller BB house setting) and needs to be free to go wherever he wants.
  • Paulie told him that he came into the house fully expecting to win.
  • Now, everyone going into the house hopes to win. But most don't really expect it to just happen.
  • I guess he's never lost anything in his life!
  • In other news, Paul's secret agent rounds are a hoot. But I bet he's going to get sick of them long before they're over.
  • Corey found Nicole's lost earring after she told him he's no good at finding things. How's that for excitement?
  • Along with saying that he wouldn't go to jury, Paulie said he wouldn't make pies (part of the veto punishment he received).
  • He's making a pie. Thankfully, in addition to a chef hat and apron, they gave detailed instructions and all the supplies.
  • At least it stops him from whining and begging for a while.
  • Paulie went quickly from Powerful Paulie to Pathetic Paulie. Had he not made such a high pedestal for himself to begin with, he'd have more sympathy.

A kiss from Baldwin

They've given him a number, taken away his name

She wasn't expecting mean people

At least it stops the fussing for a while

BB18: Second HoH, Nominations Blog Party - August 14

Hamster watchers ready? For those without the live feeds, we've been promised some of the brouhahas going into last week's double eviction!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be constantly updating this entry. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area!

Okay, the recap's over. Let's get into this!

After Bridgette goes, Michelle cries. Nicole claims she never wanted a deal with her -- she just wanted to see where she was so she could make some decisions. Paulie is mad at Natalie because she told Zakiyah that she was being played by him.

Natalie told all the dirt on Paulie, so Zakiyah went to Paulie (obviously before eviction). He lies to her face. He tells Z that he doesn't like Jersey Girls and that's what Natalie is to him. Yet, Natalie knows he's gone further than flirting with her. She tells James about it. He's not happy.

Paulie is so smug as he tells Natalie she's going home next and makes nasty sexual comments about her chest. She tells Paul, Bridgette and James. That's not behavior James can abide by! Bridgette, Paul and James talk to him. Zakiyah left the room soon while Corey sat there with his vacant-eyed look.

This is showing how Paulie has been all along on the live feeds -- smug and arrogant. He ends up left in a room with Paul, Victor and Bridgette just staring at him. Paul decides to ditch him. He tells us, not Paulie.

James tells Paulie, Nicole and Corey that he's voting Z out. Paulie is in shock. He runs to Paul and accuses him of knowing that Z is going. Paul denies knowing anything about the flip. Paulie continues going on his rant. When James tells him he's an aggressive person, Paulie threatens that he's next out.

They sort of make up, Paulie and James. But, not really.

The HoH has Benny the BB Squirrel, Hollywood Squirrel. It's done in rounds, seeing a video presentation and answering questions.

Round 1
Michelle against James. James wins

Round 2 picked by James --
Paul against Nicole. Paul wins, Nicole eliminated

Round 3 picked by Paul --
Victor against Natalie. Victor wins, Natalie eliminated

Round 4 picked by Victor --
Paulie against Paul. Paul wins, Paulie eliminated

Round 5
James against Victor. Victor wins, James eliminated

Round 6
Paul against Victor. (Paul tells us he'd rather Victor win.)
Victor wins HOH!

Paul wants Victor on the block. Paulie wants the girls targeted. Paul and Victor talk, Paul tries to convince Victor he even has a good reason to put Paulie on the block -- it was Paulie who backdoored him. Paul is Victor's social game, going to talk to James about Paulie and Corey going up. James is on board with the plan.

The care package has arrived! It hit Natalie as it landed! It's for Nicole. She has the power of Super Safety - safe from the block this week. She has a costume and everything.

James tells Natalie that Paulie and Corey will be nominated. She talks to Victor and Paulie, promising to get Michelle in with them.

Nominations ceremony --
Victor nominates Paulie and Corey. Paulie, strongest competitor, has to go for it. Corey, guilty by association.

Paulie cries in the Diary Room. So sad, huh?

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 14, 2016

Good morning! Since it's Sunday morning, it's time for my weekly off television topic reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. If you're here for Big Brother news, everything I have for you can be found at this link. I'll be posting another live feeds report late tonight as well as live-blogging the aired show. But this ain't that. This post is a year-round regular "feature" while Big Brother is a summer obsession. Or, something like that.

I thought the heat and humidity that has been visiting us for most of the summer was bad. It was nothing compared to this past week's temperatures and accompanying humidity levels. It's been unreal around here. I'm still having sciatica issues and now the weather is against me, as well! Help! Help! Whine! Fuss! How bad is the heat and humidity around here, you ask? It's so bad that they're saying NYC cockroaches will be able to fly! Now, I know that they (palmetto bugs) do that in the South. But it's bad enough they scurry all over the place here. We don't need them flying, too!

Disclaimer: I personally have no cockroaches in my apartment. We have a monthly exterminator coming in to keep it that way. Vincent would get them anyway if I did have them!

I've noticed that all of the street peoples' baby carriages of their life stuff have disappeared from the Plainfield Train Station and the groups of vagrants there are being moved along more regularly. However, they still gather under the trees on the westbound platform side, throwing their beer cans all over the lawn. And now I'm seeing some right up on the platforms taking benches from actual passengers PRETENDING they're train passengers. Sheesh.

I really don't have much more than the photos to share with you. For the first time ever, after leaving home or getting out of work, my camera lens covered with condensation due to the change in temperatures. Gah. It was that hot and humid! I'm used to my eyeglasses doing that, but not the camera!

Just after sunset on Monday

With my unusual weirder than normal work schedule this past week, I arrived back home in Plainfield not long after sunset. I was both surprised and pleased to hear and see several bats flying around. Years back, I used to see a lot of them in the hours around dusk. When white nose syndrome decimated the population and most of their vacant buildings habitat around the Plainfield Train Station were torn down, I wasn't sure they'd ever return. Yeah, I like bats. They're good for the environment and are actually kind of cute in a mouse with wings kind of way! Plus, they like to eat mosquitoes. Yes! Plainfield Train Station.

The 59 bus

The day I took this shot, I was tempted to jump on the bus and head back home! I was on my way to work and the heat was unreal. Of course, I don't live in Newark. But that bus gets me within a block of my apartment in Plainfield. Gavett Place, Plainfield, NJ

BB18: Live Feeds into Sunday - August 14

ZingBot for President cap from the comp

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pouting Paulie:
  • I last left you with the fact that Victor won the Golden Power of Veto. Now, I'll go into more details.
  • It's now not only Nicole in a costume (Safety Cone) from the HoH comp, but Corey and Paul have their own stuff going on from the veto.
  • Corey has an Uncle Sam type patriotic version of the unitard.
  • Paul has a secret agent suit and appointed rounds he must make.
  • The Veto Comp? Why, it was ... the annual ZingBot appearance!
  • We all know that Michelle kept saying she wanted to experience it. Well, she got her chance. She's not crying, so it couldn't have been horrible. It had something to do with her crying and vomiting. Hmm.
  • ZingBot apparently told Paul to shut up. We live feeders appreciate that, thankyouverymuch.
  • Interesting ... Natalie and Corey both are on medication for ADD. It seems like more than a few hamsters each season lately are in that boat. That never used to be a "thing." It makes me wonder if pharmaceutical companies have something to do with all these cases of ADD diagnosed in recent years. (But that's another topic.)
  • The hamsters all seem sure it will be Paulie being evicted, even Paulie.
  • Corey tossed the idea to Nicole that they should team up with James.
  • Sorry, too late to do that now, Texas Boy!
  • Nicole knows that wouldn't work at this point. She realizes that their connection with Paulie has both of their games doomed at this time. Unless they both pull out solid wins for the rest of the season, they're outnumbered and targeted.
  • It's a sad and somewhat somber Paulie. Instead of saying it's James behind it all like he did over the past few days, it's Natalie.
  • She's an evil, bad, mean person, y'know!
  • Aww, Paulie doesn't want any harsh goodbye messages.
  • He's sensitive, right?
  • Unfortunately, he probably won't get mean goodbyes because no one ever wants to deliberately alienate a jury member.
  • ZingBot must have portrayed Corey and Nicole as the showmance of the season. The Corey zing had something to do with Hayden (Nicole's failed shromance).
  • Corey denied the showmance; Nicole ain't too happy with that!
  • Nicole won a trip to anywhere in the USA during the veto comp. Neither she nor Corey are really sure if Hawaii is part of the USA. @@
  • Nicole said she could always cash the trip in for $5,000 as Zach did with his Germany trip a few seasons ago.
  • Victor's zing was in Spanish, apparently calling him something similar to a d-bag.
  • Paulie, the little Miss FussBudget that he is, is fussing that he doesn't want to go to jury. If he doesn't have the round trip ticket, he just wants out.
  • Others are worrying that he'll self-evict.
  • An ego is a terrible thing to lose, eh?
  • Paulie thinks that he, Corey and Nicole have been ganged up on by the house.
  • Obviously, it was different when he was leading the ganging up!
  • He thinks that James, Paul and Victor are good people (outside the house) while Natalie and Michelle are bad people.
  • Hmm ... sexist much? After all, it's his "good people" who are actually responsible for putting him in the position he's in!
  • Then Paulie said he lied on his application for the show and a psychologist told him not to go on because he has "clinical claustrophobia."
  • Grabbing at straws there, Paulie Boy. That was never a problem when you ran the house and it is now, huh?
  • He continued to mope, whine, fuss throughout the evening and into the night.
  • Oh my gosh. I think this must be what we get these days when children are mollycoddled and everything they do is viewed through rose-colored glasses.
  • Perhaps I should be thankful that life has knocked me on the butt more than a few times, starting much before Paulie's age. Paulie must have always won everything and had everything he ever wanted or he'd be reacting just a tad better with the latest.
  • As James says, "It's a GAME."
  • Victor handed off the $5,000 prize money in the comp to James for the veto. Good. I think James can use the money more. I don't think he earns a heck of a lot and he does have to support his daughter. Plus, it gives Victor the responsibility of keeping his nominations the same without putting anyone else in the position.
  • It seems like the latest final four group is Paul, Victor, Natalie and James. I wouldn't mind that one.
  • (As long as James wins it all!) Heehee!
  • Paulie must have a punishment of making pies on demand from the comp. He says he won't do and will take the penalty votes. After all, he's been ganged up on and his fate is sealed.
  • Meanwhile, Paul is getting into his secret agent punishment gig. He has to make rounds of the house when the red alert goes off, clearing each area. He's trying to rock it.
  • He has his suit, but is allowed to swim with a tie and bathing suit. He also must wear the sunglasses all the time.
  • Paulie's pie punishment also has him doing some kind of anthem.
  • Michelle offered Paulie a sympathy vote. You can guess how that worked out!
  • Michelle keeps acting like she wants Paulie to stay and pep-talking him. I certainly hope that's just game play strategy of some kind.
  • He's grabbing onto the dream, though.
  • She feels sorry for him.
  • I don't. Do you?
  • The veto meeting won't be until tomorrow. I doubt Victor will save either of them, with Paulie being slated to go away. Victor knows that, in physical comps, Paulie is his biggest competition.

Your friends don't dance, they're no friends of mine

On the block, too bad, so sad.
