'Big Brother 8 - Live Feeds POV Winner 8/25
Eric won the Power of Veto. A full report will be posted later this evening!

Jackie, everytime I try to view your page I get an error msg about the chill town video and then the page jumps to the spot where the video is. I am an aol user, and was just wonder what was up with that and if you had any clue....thanks.
I am amazed that you are still doing this. I remember your first summer with the knee surgery and all that. Hope the knee is doing better. You are awesome girl, keep rocking!
I HOPE NOT!!!! I know I'm no fun!! But let's just see what Eric can do without our input. Sunday's show is when we have him so some silly task--

As for Dani working at Hooter's--here in Washington state a minor cannot take a drink order (if it has alcohol in it)but they can work where alcohol is served(restaurant not a bar).

Jamine - It seems to be something to do with the Internet Explorer browser -- especially if you're using AOL's version. With Firefox, it isn't an issue. That video should be off the main page within a few more entries.
It's nasty humid and in the 90s here. Horrible.
As for the knee, I'm still looking at a knee replacement but it's better than it was that summer! Thank you for asking.
Big convo with Jessica and Eric about this really being a relationship... so how does that match with the You Tube clip one of the commenters called NAN posted a day or so ago, which I watched carefully about three times, where Eric seems to admit to Jess he's gay. Seriously, Did you see that? Are they fooling with us or is this for real... either the relationship or the gay thing? Ize Cofoozed.
I don't know how we could tell Eric what to do with the Veto unless they change the format of the show. They don't usually show the Veto comp/ceremony until Tuesdays show, so they would have to switch things up and show us the comp on Sunday and the ceremony on Tuesday. I wonder what Allison has in store for us now...
Since we have never faced Eric winning much of anything and since he IS supposed to do OUR bidding,it would only be proper that instead of some stupid task on Sunday,they let US choose who Eric works on Jess to put up in place of one of the noms. Everybody knows she listens to most everything he has to say and I'd like to see him earn that money and have to get her to put dick or Daniele up! JMO
It was hot and muggy here around Cleveland,in the 80's and now it's rainy and still muggy as all get out.
So Eric's name was definitely in the bag this time. If they ask, I will absolutely vote for the noms to remain as they are. I want Amber gone so that there is no chance of her floating through to the end. The same for Jameka next week.
After that, I'm kind of hoping Dani goes before Zach. I realize Zach is a primo floater, But I think Dani will stab her dad in the back the first chance she gets if she needs to. After Dani, then Eric can go, then Jessica, who without Eric to tell her what to do, will be rendered useless. Then I think Dick will have the best chance of winning it all. The diehards in sequester may give it to Zach but floaters are usually reviled. Just have to wait and see.
I just dont see them having us vote for Eric to use the POV since tomorrows show will be showing the nominations for the CBS viewers. If they wanted us to vote for Eric to use the POV, it would be a show of
*Eric finding out who to nominate *Eric pushing for that person *Nomination ceremony *Luxury comp *Veto Comp
That is a lot to put in one show and we wouldn't get any other bits & pieces to fill the viewers in on the latest in BB house. Plus what on earth would they put in the Tuesday show, besides the Veto ceremony which only lasts a few minutes?? IMO, we won't get to vote, because yes BB could let us vote, but Eric wouldn't vote for the replacement and ultimately it would not be a decision that America is making. Now if he wins an HOH, I can see the voting process taking on a new life then. Hopefully we will get the chance to partake in that... :)
Here's a thought. I've noticed they do other voting during the week on the website that has nothing to do with AC. Maybe after tomorrow's show, the website will say who won the POV and ask us to vote on what Eric should do. America would technically only know if they went to the website, but it is a doable idea...
If they put it on the website tomorrow night then ther ratings will be down for Tuesday....I am sure the ratings are down this season although last week was great fireworks....I think Eric will keep the noms the same...I so want AMBER to go to SH.....She needs to get her fix...Dustin
Just a PS to my earlier comments: If Dani were in sequester, and her dad inF2, I believe she would vote for her dad because then she'll figure on getting some of the money he'd win. And I am totally sure he'd give her plenty. If the situation were reversed and ED was in sequester first, he would definitely vote for Dani to win, but I'd bet money that she wouldn't give him a dime. She is such a me, me, me, mine, mine, mine kind of spoiled brat.
Since Eric only does our bidding, I don't think he should be able to think for himself. It should be our call if he uses the Veto or not. I think it is another example of how BB hasn't worked out all the kinks in AP. Jackie, during the J & E convo has Eric told Jessica any whoppers about his actions in the house? What I am wondering is your opinion on whether she will be angry when she finds out his role in the house. I think she might understand if he is careful how he chooses his words. Sue
I wonder how the whole "you can't share money" thing works with Dick/Daniele? Remember when Zach/Nick had that split the money deal and Dick pointed out that it's against the rules? If Dick wins, CAN he give Dani any of the BB money? I suppose he could give her some and just claim it was in his savings account before he went in the house...
Maybe you have a point there, Orkmommy. But I have to wonder, since this is an unususal situation and they are in a basically next-of-kin kind of situation, if maybe there is some kind of exception to the rule?
Orkmommy... A good thought, but CBS is about the ratings and there is a huge chunk of the fans who only tune into the shows. For them not to have a vote in "Americas vote" would cause a stir. I know quite afew family memebers & friends who only tune into the shows because they don't like spoiling the shows for themselves, but they also enjoy voting. So, IMO, they wouldn't be able to call it "Americas vote" but instead "Online vote"...
I just think it would be too much Comps & noms for Sunday's show and the viewers wouldn't get the "story line" that CBS likes to feed them. I mean how are they to sway the votes, if they don't edit the story line in each episode to reflect how they hope it will go?? lol!

Joy... as usual, I agree with you :) I too think Dani is a spoiled brat who wouldnt share a dime! I've read so far that she doesn't like her dad telling her what to do because her grandparents never gave her rules or told her what to do. She also has claimed to never had chores, because her grandparents did it all. I'm beginning to think that she has a problem with authority and that although Dick may not be your typical looking or behaving father figure, that he had laid down some rules for her and she just didnt want anything to do with that. I can see Dick being a kick back kinda guy, but also somebody who doesn't put up with someones BS...

He can give her or both kids $12,000 each a year claimed as a gift on his taxes. After taxes that$500,000 will be closer to $250,000 and while I think he'd want to give something to both as cash, purchases or an investment Dick may need most of that for himself... he's managing a bar at age 44...
While she's relied on Dick in the game a lot, and whined and cried, Dani's shown she can be ruthless and is all about getting what she wants, so I'm not worried about her! @@ Got a feeling she'll have a few offers after this and bring in some decent cha-ching with her 15 minutes.

Sydney/Deanna: On Power of 10, it appeared since they were introduced together, that they played against each other. If so, they get like three questions, winner two out of three, that person plays for the $$.
If you're the winner, you have a support person sitting off to the side who can advise you whether they think you should take any money you've won or keep playing.
It's a percentage game. "What % of people think (something)" or "What % of people said they would (something)". Then you have a range in which to answer what % you think answered the question. If the answer was 30%, then you might have a range of 10% points to answer. Say you put it from 25% to 35% range. Then you won the money as the answer was 30%.
My question Is: I know that Amber saw her cousin who was her support person, so did Daniele also get to see Nick? Were they allowed to talk with them?
I'm anxious to see the show and see what happened!

I don't think the ratings would go down for Tuesday. People still want to see the competition and what Eric ends up doing.
