'Survivor 16: Micronesia' Official CBS Page Up

I'll be writing introductory posts for the fans as the week goes on, but thought I should mention the official show website is up and running. I don't think I'll be writing introductory posts for the returning castaways even though a few are certainly dubious in their "fan favorite" distinction.

I watched American Gladiators, since I don't like the singing and dancing shows, and within five minutes realized why I stopped watching it the first time it was on. EGADS. Who thinks up these things. I hope the writers end their strike soon and we can get back to halfway decent programming. At least Medium has finally returned. Now if only I could get a Heroes fix, I'd be good for a while.

I'm warming up to this idea of Survior and a half. I know everyone thinks YauMan will be out soon, but there are so many to get rid of before him.

Everyone hates Johnny FairPlay... That's one. They know they need to get rid of Ozzy (no brainer), same goes for James (not so much as Ozzy, but he is a physical threat, in challenges.. but dumb at the game). The women will gang up on the men, and I say, Ami, Cirie, Parvati, and Amanda will team up with YauMan to the end. Of course I've left the newbies out of the equation. :)

Who knows... it could happen, lol. I'm looking forward to this season.

I also watched American Gladiators and I have to say I absolutely loved it! They didn't change the formula from the original show at all, they updated the obstacles and with the exception of Hulk Hogan being a poor host, I definitely think it's a winner. Come on, in the first episode one lady completely blew out her knee and another bashed her face on a steel rod, if it has to be unscripted programming, at least it's a high octane, energy driven show.

I'm ready for another Survivor, although my husband my move out once BB starts, too!! I don't know the format of teams but I would love to see the favs. be on one team and the fans the other. The favs. could knock each other off--I'm rooting for an underdog--I just don't know which one yet!!LOL

Hey Jackie~ Did you catch the pilot episode of Cashmere Mafia? It's another Darren Star series similar to Sex in the City with some good differences. I really love Lucy Liu and Frances O'Connor and I was hooked after just one episode. Candace Bushnell (creator of Sex in the City) is coming out with her own new spin on SITC in February called Lipstick Jungle. Should be interesting to see if there's room for 2 of this type of show. I also loved Carson Kressley's new show "How to Look Good Naked", even after not expecting to. Check them out if you get a chance.

I just read on TV Squad that ABC is bringing back "The Mole" this summer as a ten episode series. I really liked that show. Alas, it says it's doubtful that Anderson Cooper will be back as the host. He was the best part of it. The article says they are looking for a host similar to Anderson. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

RealityTVWorld also has an article (a longer one) on the upcoming "Mole" show and says that it will be a non-celebrity series.

I,also,tried Amer.Gladiators,but it couldn't hold my interest.

So looking forward to the new Survivor, and hope they do us all a favor and vote Fairplay off first so we don't have to look at him any longer than that!I hope Yau can get in an alliance and work his magic and I'd love him to win this time. I don't think he'll be giving any cars away this time...lol.

I always liked "the Mole" but have to admit the biggest draw for me was Anderson....lol.I always had a huge crush on Peter Jennings until I saw Anderson! I thought the show was an intelligent one,not like some of this garbage they are throwing at us right now.

Did anybody watch Queen Latifah on the People's Choice Awards last night? Can we say over the top?Way,way, wwwaaayyy over the top,we need those writers back......bad.

OHHHH! Thanks Joyn...I loved the Mole...also because of Anderson, but I thought it was fun trying to figure out who the mole was.

Sharon, I taped the awards show so will be watching it tonight. Thanks for the heads-up, I can always fast forward through the Queen if she gets to be too much.

Medium was really a good episode. It was interesting to watch the "people on the street" interviews who gave the background of last season, and brought us up to date. I'm sure they were rehearsed, but it was still a cool way to present it.

I still think her husband should sue his company for "wrongful discharge". I just don't think they can let him go just because he refused to sign saying he wouldn't sue them. They're the government...the government makes the rules...of all "companies" they should have to follow those rules.

Here we go again. Yet another reality contestant from my town. We are close to double digits here. Do you think it's just coincidence or is there an edge to being from Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania Va?

I don't watch awards shows. Feh!
You folks talk about eye candy and then in the same breath say you don't like American Gladiator. Do you watch with your eyes shut??

Susan,if you like muscle-bound guys and gals, then this is the show for you. One big chuckle that I'm getting from the show this time.......my hubby's name is Don Yates and that's Wolf's real name!Sure wish my 71 year old Don looked like that hunk......lol!At least the women on the show don't look like some of the lady body builders I have seen, they make my eyes hurt to look at them...yikes!
