Last night was the big season halfway point party for the hamsters. They got a few hours of camera free living ... and we got blocked feeds with BB trivia. BTW - I always get the trivia questions right. I'm not sure what that says about me. If only I had done that well in geometry back in my school days, eh?
Here's what's been happening (that we could see) in that Big Brother House of Trifling Troubles:
- I liked this BB announcement: "Natalie, please treat your microphone with respect."
- In a Kevin and Chima talk, Kevin mentioned that they're getting warnings about behavior during the live show.
- Chima thinks it's because she made threats to go wild.
- Chima and Kevin are sure that Jeff has the power as he was called to the diary room in the middle of the party.
- Lydia thinks that Jeff should go before Michele. She thinks that Jeff "doesn't have much up there" and doesn't really play the game.
- Lydia and Chima miss Ronnie.
- I don't.
- Chima would like the next evictions to be in this order: Jeff, Jordan, Michele.
- I don't want them that way.
- Russell is quasi-talking with others other than Jordan and Jeff.
- He talked to Michele (civilly) and Jessie came along to throw him under that bus.
- Russell then told Michele about Jessie backing up the Ronnie idea of dousing her with water.
- Fun, fun, fun.
- Jessie taunted Russell that it's going to be his last night in the house, he should enjoy his bed.
- Meanwhile, Jessie is still paranoid that he himself is going home.
- But he's not telling Russell that.
- Eventually both silly boys realized how silly they were being with their fight.
- They didn't kiss and make up, but they giggled a lot.
- Natalie was eavesdropping on them. I get the feeling she would say she was "easedropping" on them.
- When Russell told Natalie and Jessie he felt the odd man out in their alliance, they claimed he didn't get backdoored because they stood up for him.
- Meanwhile, Jessie is a bit worried that Russell might have the votes to stay over Lydia.
- Jeff is still avoiding most of any drama going down in the house.
- Jordan knows that Jeff supports Russell, but she's not so sure of Russell herself.
- Chima continued to bash Russell. But we all expected that, right?
- Several in the HOH room said "I have the power" just to show they don't have the power.
- Russell tried talking to America through the cameras. He claims bad things he's been saying about a Michele weren't the houseguest Michele, but a production Michelle in the diary room. I took it upon myself to spell the second Michelle with two "l's."
- Kevin thinks that Russell will eventually land in jail for domestic abuse.
- Russell hasn't hit anyone in the house. As for shouting, Chima is right up there with him.
- I don't want either of them mad at me.
- Jeff wants to win HOH so he can wear the bathrobe and be like Hugh Hefner.
- They all headed to bed fairly early (for them).
- I expect a lot of blocked feeds today going into the earlier not live live eviction show. I guess we'll see.

I think IF Jeff uses the power and Chima goes off we'll get to see all of it but with beeps and blurred out mouths so we can't read their lips. Fingers crossed that Jeff USE the Power. They are coming after him anyway. I think not only do we like him the other HG's like him and the only one who would have a chance against him in the F2 would be Jordan.

As for my favorite players...I would have to rank Dr. Will first. He was nominated multiple times, never won an HOH (thrown, true), was never voted out, charmed and told people he was lying to them, and still won by something like 5-2. I actually have respect for him as a player; Mike Boogie not so much.
Dan also has to be ranked high; he won all 7 votes on the jury and kept his self-respect, which I think is hard to do. I know people think he coasted through the game, but I think he was smart to stay out of the line of fire and still keep people liking him.
Janelle has to be up there; isn't she the Veto Queen?
Eric couldn't be left off the list; his season was the ED season and he was bound by our directives by being America's Player; I still think he got up to #4?
Nakomis I will always be grateful for getting rid of Jase...he was an instant high blood pressure pill.

I would love a Double Eviction night. Jessie and Jeff would create the most drama and set up a really good week after this really boring one. They usually advertise double evictions in the promos though, don't they?

Beware the magic of television. Television has a "live taped" category: live audience, taped delay. They could promo a "live show" and still run it on tape.
I think I might be responsible for bringing up double eviction on a previous post.
I did say it was my fantasy not that it was planned for this week.
I was only dreaming and to my knowledge there is no double eviction planned for tonight.
Hope that clears up any confusion about what I said on double evictions.

I am really hoping that Superpass ends up showing the live eviction after it all goes down "live" tonight on TV.

I disagree with Kevin about Russell. He's lost his temper--when prodded--and shown at least some restraint. Just didn't take their crap and stood his ground. I don't he'd ever hit a woman. Even Chima :).

meb, I was just thinking the same thing. It'll be really anticlimatic if the show gets edited so that we don't get to see/hear the houseguests' reactions if Jeff uses his power. I've been looking forward to it all week. And we know that BB's editors sometimes use their powers to slant and deceive.
hgs are up ((8:30 am in the house) and in kitchen and bathroom, as far as I can see. They are getting dressed and eating breakfast. They don't seem rushed. I wonder if they know the audience is due outside their door in less than 3 hours.

Theme song and trivia have been on feeds for a while now. DR was calling everyone in one at a time. There was speculation by feeders that the hgs were voting. I don't know if that is true, but I would be curious to know what the vote would be if no changes were made. It is about an hour until the audience ticket holders were told to be there.
So I get a call around 5:30 AM today saying ... you were right. Now there are a lot of things I can be right about, especially that early in the morning. But people usually don't call to tell me.
Yes, they did switch to taping the show (bumped call time up 3 hours) instead of doing it live because they are so sure Chima is going to cause a major problems for production when Jeff uses the CDT. (She has a major attitude problem.)
It will be fun to hear what really happens as opposed to the sanitized CBS version we see on TV.

For those of us who pay for the feeds, I think that's crappy. Feedsters watch the CBS version anyway, so I don't think it will effect the ratings, or whatever reason they don't show comps, or double evictions, or something crazy like that.

Why would Jeff use it? If he becomes HOH he can't compete. Even if he takes out Natalie, would Jesse gun for him? If he let's Russell go, he could still compete for HoH.
If he does use it, does he necessarily put Jessie up? if he saves russell, and puts Michelle up, she goes home and Jessie and Russell are still gunning for each other.
I didn't understand that if Jeff uses the CD'E he would not be able to play for the new HOH.

Of course, if Jeff uses CDT, there won't be any goodbyes taped, unless he doesn't use the CDT.

As others have said the feeds are down the audience was to arrive at 11:30 am paci time with maybe a show (guessing at times) around 1 pm their time.
Feeds have the call in show on now (Chelsia's?) and fans are calling in complaining about hgs and no live feeds.
I am leaving the computer, but hope to be back by BB tonight.

I don't quite buy (understand?) the need to tape 3 hours early over Chima. I think that is just a rumor. They air on a delay and they could dump the feed back to Julie if anything untoward happened. If they are taping early, it is probably either because: a) they have something planned for HOH or post-eviction that may take some time, or b) they want to edit for maximum affect.

CBS just ran an ad for tonight's show...there was a banner for "Live Eviction" not a live show! So I guess that settles that.

But "Live Eviction" could simply mean that they are doing it in front of an audience NOT doing it in real time.
Since they are not turning the feeds back on until 9 p.m., I think that settles that: if they turned them on now, you'd know who had been evicted!

It really annoys me that they'er blocking the feeds like they are, but then Julie is married to the head of CBS, so I can see how they are being over protective. Chima's comment to Julie over the Braden eviction has been the direct cause of this, imho. Julie ain't cutting Chima no slack, fans be damned.
Plus they may also be worried about Chima provoking violence from Russ if he stays, and that might be a valid concern although Russ will be so elated that he's staying that he'll probably just laugh.
From what I read from a poster on Jokers you aren't allowed to bring Cells or Cameras at all. They search people.

I am hoping that the CDE, if it is used, would go like this:
--Russell and Lydia are on the block. It's time to start voting.
--Julie asks for CDE winner to stand up and use it.
--Jeff stands up; names his two nominees.
--Old nominees are replaced with new ones, and then each person immediately goes to vote.
I'm afraid that they'll replace the nominees, and then give them time to think about it and talk with each other. I'd like to see them fly by the seats of their pants, with no discussion beforehand!

We will get a sanitized version of what happens regardless. IMO Hopefully an audience attendee will leak the truth. You know it will happen. :)

How was I being a contrarian? I'm just saying that they have the ability to dump the feed anytime they want - that's why they run everything on a delay in the 1st place. I just think it is more a time issue than a Chima issue. If they don't know how long it'll take to CD'E, vote, HOH, etc. they decided to start early. Joe, whatever. Playing devil's advocate is fine, just say that's what you're doing if it is. I just have difficulty following your logic on most things, so my only conclusion is that it's contrived somehow.

The decision to pretape the "live" show seems like it was a spur-of-the-moment move. That makes me think it's because they feel something will happen during the show which they want some control over, like an outburst from Chima.
If the decision was made for any other reason, (to accommodate an unusual competition or event, or special editing), it seems like the schedule would have been changed weeks ago, not at the last minute.

When Braden was evicted, Chima told Julie on live TV that Braden had called Julie a whore (or something to that effect). No matter that it had been Braden, it was Chima who told the country, and I'd bet Julie didn't take kindly to that.
Plus add being pregnant and hormonal, plus add being married to CBS head.
When I add all that up, I get my conclusion.
I remember Julie's reaction to Ronnie's insults to Michelle when he was evicted. I commented at the time that she seemed a little taken aback by the harshness of it. Ronnie had been telliing them all along what he was going to say. I think after Braden exit speech by Chima and Ronnie's exit to Michelle that BB finally realized the hgs really don't mind making a$$es of themselves on air and any thing can happen. Even if there is no violence, having words said that could result in a fine from FCC makes it easier to film it while BB producers can have more than a 5 second delay to work with.
And Julie is pregnant.

I just read an article at EW.com that said the reason for the taped show is CHIMA.
I agree with what they said in the article that monies should be taken from her or her removal from the house.
I just can't believe that the show isn't live. They owe us another live show. Maybe Sunday's should be a fast forward and live eviction.

The feeds are blocked for the next few hours, and they're showing a 'special edition' of "Express Lunch". Now I now how the west=coasters feel when they can't watch it live. Who KNOWS whats going on right now. Chima could be melting down to a puddle of...Chima. It will suck if they censor the good stuff!

One of those people you listed would not be able to vote because one has to be on the block with Jessie. My guess would be Natalie.

Chima can't vote as HOH and Jeff can't vote as Wizard so it only leaves 5 voters.
We can't know for sure who voted how unless we know who was up, can we?
We know Jordan and Kevin would vote Jessie out. If he took Russell off then I think he would vote Jessie off to end that threat.

I'm also seeing some say that the vote went 5-0. I hope that's the case, but really don't care, as long as Jessie is D.U.N.
And I heard that everyone played in the HOH comp. Again, don't really care as long as Chima/Nat/Russ didn't get it.

The last feeds I heard, before the trivia came on this morning, Michelle and Jordan were together. Obviously Michelle was wanting to be with the power couple, figuring one of them (Jo or Je) had it. Jordan was saying over and over I hope 'we' including Michelle in that 'we' get the hoh room so we can relax and enjoy being up there. Michelle is all over the place with her affections, and if she is new hoh it would make her show her alligance. She has made such fun of Jordan for not being as smart as Michelle.
I will enjoy the show tonight even knowing the rumors. If they are true, I will know whose face to watch when things are announced. It will also be interesting to see which side of the vote hg came down on.
I probably shouldn't say anything until we see if Michelle did win HOH but if she did I think she will choose Russell for eviction and most likely Kevin or Jeff.
My reasoning for this is two-fold. She had the big blow up with Russell over what Chima supposedly said and Russell called her on it. The other is that I think she bought into Chima's idea of an all girl final.
Time will tell, but if Michelle did win HOH, I would be sweating bullets if I were Russell, Jeff or Kevin.

lynn1, if Jessie is gone and Michele is HOH, look for Chima and Natalie to go against each other this week, and part of that might mean Chima telling Michele that Michele was Nat's next target. So much for the "all girl" alliance when that happens.
Chima can say anything she wants while she's HOH, but this week will be a different story, I believe.
Think maybe Russell voted for Nat eviction so he can say he stayed loyal to Jessie???? We''ll soon find out.

Russ was compaigning for Michelle's vote for him to stay (as per Jeff's instructions). she was told that when Ronnie almost threw water on her (DR told him not to) that it was Jess and Nat who were egging him on. Michelle is very tight with Chima and if I had to guess at her one true alliance, it is Chima. But, if Chima looked bad today and lost her power, then Michelle might go another way.
There is stil much to see in the game.
Well BB created quite a stir over this live taping...I suspect that the only reason is BB doesn't have enough footage over the last week to come up with new shows. So they can take this day and milk it. Wasn't it earlier this week that they showed Chima's rape story from weeks ago? And all they do is sleep and are as boring as the folks on the Nerd Herd year. I hope I am wrong. Looking forward to the show!

What sense would it make for Russell to worry about his loyalty to Jessie ,when Jessie could have possibly been on his way out of the door on his way
Bah, Chima was a disappointment. She behaved herself. They could have done it live.
While in practice today I heard;
The so called delay was for the Dallas Cowboys, either delay BB or Cowboy pre-game football ( Dallas had the CBS rights )
I believe this has been done before but this time with twitter bloggers CBS couldn't get-away with any type delay.
I'm getting the feeling CBS wants to keep airing Russells bad-side.
I was impressed he voted to evict Natalie.
