As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be updating this post with the major events (and perhaps a few minor thoughts thrown in). Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments section! Come join in on the fun!
We have to get through the season recap first. Oy. Finally, we should be getting to the first part of the final HOH ... please! Please? Finally! We're to the swinging and dunking apple hamsters. The winner of this round skips round two and vies in part three with the winner of two. Got that?
All three are still up when a taunting voice tells them to slide down from the disks and sit right atop the apples. Please note this voice was never on the comp in the live feeds! Steve is out first. Vanessa sats that she can hang on for longer to psych out Liz ... claims she has another ten hours in her. She mouths final two at her while Steve's back is turned. Liz drops. Vanessa wins Part One!
Liz thinks she HAS to beat Steve in the next part, so she isn't trusting any deal with Vanessa.
It's onto Part Two. It's crossword puzzle format. Steve is thrilled because he likes puzzles. It's BB-related and they have to climb up to put their answers in. It's timed and Steve went first.

Steve wins Part Two and will go against Vanessa in Part Three!
Dr. Will's Roundtable with the jury! Yes! Johnny Mac joins them. Heh. Austin is shocked that Liz is working with Vanessa against Johnny Mac. Will brings up that he's being hypocritical. Heh. Jackie and Shelli talk about how much Vanessa is playing the game. James thinks she's been playing very well. Austin and Becky seem bitter.
Shelli thinks Steve did brilliantly social. Johnny Mac calls him a rat. Julia thinks he's cowardly. Jackie thinks highly of Liz's game. James thinks Liz should win because she's in the house and they're all out there. Johnny Mac thinks other people (Vanessa) ran Liz's game.
Final Part of the Final HoH Comp! Vaness and Steve are on Scales of Just Us, have to prove how well they know the jury. A statement with two possible endings. Eight questions.

To the living room. Steve EVICTS VANESSA! He went on about her being such a strong player and the move he had to make. Liz is in shock.
Vanessa admits to Julie that she wasn't going to take Steve to the final two had she won HoH.
Julie introduces the jury for the interrogation. They're happy to see Vanessa join them. They've agreed to three questions.
Johnny Mac - You relied on me or Vanessa for all you decisions. Tell me why I'm wrong. They can't hear him in the studio. We can. He defends making the friendships, split the twin twist, work with Jackie, etc.
Becky - Liz, Austin created and influenced your strategy. What was your strategy? Liz says she aligned with Austin and Vanessa, target on back, did own campaigning.
James - Steve, sitting next to a player while you floated. Steve denies floating. Steve is defending himself quite well.
Liz - Biggest game move as individual? Aligning with strong competitors. (Um, individual?)
Jackie - Biggest function was a vote. Dang, he's being so well-spoken. The kid is prepared.
Austin - Why do you deserve to win the money over Steve? The twin disadvantage, want the money.
Well, Steve certainly after his initial nervousness, answered very well. Liz, not so much.
Final Plea time.
Liz - Not a big gamer, grew to love the game, Julia, incredible summer, three wins.
Steve - Prepared speech, played the game while Liz was in hotel, four HoH reigns, made moves making his own decisions, Liz followed others.

Shelli, loves both. Voting with heart.
Jackie - Congrats, proud of both, one who dreamed of it their entire life.
Becky - One person I'm proud to vote for.
Meg - Heart is torn, give credit to big moves.

Non-jury hamsters time on stage. Da'Vonne disses Austin. Heh. Vanessa admits to being a millionaire poker player. Yawn. Jason gives Vanessa kudos for maneuvering through the game but disses her for not owning her game. Audrey is having time of her life, warm responses, gets teary.

Most people do not want Liz because she was with Austin. Steve did scamper a lot. He was always thinking. I just think he played with both sides. During Vanessa's big announcement, I didn't notice any oohs/aahs coming from anyone, including the audience (but they knew anyway). My view could be skewed, but seemed to me that she only got polite applause.

I stayed up and watched the backyard interviews. Can't believe I was awake that long.
Vanessa still is in player mode. There was a great exchange between her and Ausshole.

Jeff(bb17) was not interviewed by Jeff (bb11&13). I have to wonder if its because of his knew employment. Not sure what it is but as one point he said he was backing out of social media for a while.
After reading a few articles and seeing some interviews I am happy with the winner.
It wasn't my choice for a final three but with what they had the correct winner won.
I was happy that Jeff did bring up to Liz that she wasn't in the game for 85 days. She had 40 days of off and on where she was in sequester and was able to watch past seasons and movies. She was still screwing up questions& answers and still said she rode Austins coat tails.
There is alot of talk of people saying Vanessa wasn't bitter in her vote. She voted Liz because of a closer relationship. I am calling the BS flag on that.

I decided to do the Windows 10 update during the show...well it messed up my puter so I could not comment. Took an hour at Best Buy this morning and $40 to get me up and running.
Thrilled that Steve won and Vanessa was shut out. Also her gloating about the $4+ million she had won playing poker really turned me off. Happy James won the Viewers Choice but would have been happy with any of the three winning it.

Delee, sorry about the updating your 'puter problems, but most of all, missing out on the party!
Win-10's format is much easier to deal with than Win-8/8.1 (i.e., toggling between desktop and apps screens isn't necessary now).
I've updated 4 laptops at home with Win-10 ... 2 were Win-8.1 and 2 were Win-7.
The only issues I had were with the Win-7's not wanting to completely download Win-10.
After 5 or 6 computer restarts (showing updates that were waiting), and restarting the Win-10 update, it finally completed. I have no idea if this is true or not, but maybe the issues I had were because of the "updates waiting" ... maybe they needed to be installed 1st.
and SHAME on Vanimal for talking about her period during her exit interviews. To explain her over-abundance of tears, she said she gets emotional every 28 days. Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she cried on AT LEAST a 3x weekly basis.
Here she is, talks & walks like a guy, dressing like a dude, then she undercuts all her feminazi BS by claiming to be felled by her period every month.

Although I enjoy TAR (for seeing the world), I actually like BB and Survivor more.
We'll miss your comments during the Survivor and TAR parties, but look forward to seeing you next summer.

If Jeff (BB17) did not do a backyard interview then I guess I only missed Jace. lol Poor man got erased from the wall and I could not find an interview with him.
I did want to see how confrontational Vanessa would have been if she was in the final 2 with the jury, but I am happy with the outcome. Better than the coronation they gave Derrick last year. Made for much better TV.
I did enjoy the interaction with Austin and Vanessa video, she just can not turn it off. It will probably take her a while to come down, I mean decompress, and get back to normal. I don't remember her being that way on the poker shows I have seen.
I also had to force a restart a couple of times when installing windows 10 on my windows 7 PC. But it seems to have gone fine in the end. I have a clone HD of windows 7 I did before upgrading so I can go back in a couple of minutes if I ever need to. I am glad I skipped windows 8/8.1. When I read the reviews of it I rushed out and bought a windows 7 PC before they became unavailable.
I'm going through serious BB withdraw today, LOL. Time to start the countdown until next season. Thanks uncartie but I've always said that I have a lot of empty space in my brain for useless knowledge and that's where I store all of it, lol. I really do love BB and it is definitely my favorite reality show out of all of them. To Petals, Sharon, Becky and everyone who posts here regularly during BB, I'm looking forward to Survivor now. It's going to be a great season. For those of you who don't comment on Survivor, I hope you reconsider.

David, although Vanessa was the most "deserving" this year, I can't help but be glad she didn't win.. only because I didn't care for her style of game play. I didn't mind the lying so much because it's part of the game, but as Jason said, she never owned up to it in DRs. Her constant crying (fake or real), paranoia, and round-robin fast-talking made me want to run screaming from the room.
Win-8.1 handled some of the issues people had with Win-8, and Win-10 is very much like 8.1.
The best improvement is not having to toggle between the desktop and App screens. My brother-in-law has Tech Fear (cell phones stymie him), but he got used to 8.1 and 10 easily. The biggest thing most people don't like (since Win-8) is having to enter a password upon startup. To my mind, it only takes seconds to do, and it's an important level of security.

I am also glad Vanessa didn't win, I just thought her interaction with the jury would have been interesting. Since she was still at it with Austin later, she probably could have blown it with them. Not owning her own game.
That is one of the first things I did was turn off the password upon start-up. It was easy to do. The next thing I did was install all of the desktop games from windows 7 that were removed in windows 8/8.1/10. They have most of the games through the microsoft app but I liked being able to play them off line and with no ads.
Why do I find myself coming back here again and again..... Because I am also having BB withdraw!! LOL
It has been a fun summer hanging out with everyone here. =) And for those of you not interested in Survivor or TAR I hope to see you all back next year.

Well BB17 is over. Wasn't one of my favorite seasons but Jackie's Pool Parties & all the great company on here makes it all worth while. Like my 'Hommie' Monty, Big Brother is my favorite reality show. I've been watching since the very beginning when my namesake Eddie (he of one leg) won the very first show.
I'd like to give a special thanks to Monty & Petals for giving me such a warm welcome several years ago (I think it was season 7 or 8) when I accidentally stumbled into a Big Brother Pool Party.
And Jackie's site is awesome! All the timely, witty updates along with the cleverly captioned screen caps make the BB experience all the more enjoyable. Kudos Jackie!
I'll definitely be partying in the Survivor pool & will make an extra effort to jump in the TAR pool when I can (Fridays are a little difficult for me).
