Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Vindictive Voles:
- As per usual, and perhaps more expected than normal, Cody and Jessica exiled themselves away from the crowd.
- When they did happen to pass through or bump into someone else, no animosity was immediately evident.
- Jessica, true to form, attempted now and then to mix with the others.
- Cody didn't really attempt to be anything other than himself.
- Alex and Mark had a forever long talk, airing all their grievances with each other. It started because Alex said something about Mark looking sad that Josh won HoH.
- They both came to common ground and now are buddies.
- But I don't think they really trust each other.
- Despite the long talk, Mark is sad and thinks he might want to go home on Friday.
- I don't think they want to send him home, though. And, he probably knows it's unlikely as well.
- Jessica and Cody have decided, since they know they'll be targeted, if the next comp has prizes, they'll go for them.
- Elena is more of an "odd man out" than Mark at this point.
- Her loyalty to Jessica is wavering along with power shifts in the house.
- Despite her explanations, Josh told her he was hurt by her voting against him.
- But she's not a major target.
- They're all a bit worried about the Temptation Challenge.
- Paul wants to win Safety ... not so much because he's worried about his own safety, mind you. He just doesn't want Cody or Jessica to win it.
- Everybody, including Cody and Jessica, went to the HoH reveal. Jessica smiled and mixed in; Cody was basically quiet.
- Josh got a bit teary reading his letter from his mother.
- That's it for now.
Alex and Mark heart to heart talk |
I don't wanna go see his HoH room! |
EVERYBODY goes to see Josh's HoH room |

Jessica smiles in HoH, Cody not so much |
Strategy talks going on |

Good morning all. I just spent my whole morning both excited and deeply repulsed at the idea of the first baby conceived inside the house. Shouldn't production give Jessica a test if only so they know what kind of comps and stress she shouldn't be subject to??? C'mon now. They're responsible for her health and safety.
(Btw my autocorrect turned Jessica into "J diva" hahaha)
I'm sure the parents of these showmance couples are so proud.
Wait! I think I missed something. Jessica is pregnant!?
ceemurph-
I don't think that Jess is pregnant. I would imagine its the stress she is under.
I am so happy that we have Josh as this weeks HOH.. What a complete sh%t show.(sorry for the vulgarity)
What has happened that makes some of you think Jess is pregnant? I'm lost.
So did Jessica and Alex both just happen to bring a pair of sparkly cat ears into the house?
I sure hope they don't continue with the 9 against 2 hazing. That'll make for a long week.
I'm lost, too...
Apparently on the feed recaps it says Jess and Cody have been joking about being pregnant.
Jessica said something about how she hasn't gotten her period since being in the house. But she also said she's not that regular.
Cody was his usual delightful self last night:
Thu 8:42 PM BBT Cody talking about a fight he got in while in the service and he marked someone's face up. @@
---------------
Thu 8:44 PM BBT Cody says if someone is going to disrespect you in public what you gonna do but fight. You can't be a snitch and just tell on them @@
You could OTOH,do what most normal people do and walk away
Jody's idea of foreplay?
Fri 12:10 AM BBT Jessica wants to put Alex's head in a door and slam it
Oddly enough, maybe it wont be Paul's HOH as much as we (or he) thought.
Paul has managed to tick off Josh by telling Josh (and Christmas) to go get him some water...essentially kicking them out of the HOH so Paul could talk to Elena alone.
Maybe there is a small beginning to cracks in Paul's reign? Who'd a thunk it?
Josh has been Paul's dooby up until now, but he didn't like being kicked out of HIS HOH room. Josh has issues with Elena and would prefer she be evicted instead of Jess or Cody this time. Josh and Christmas are trying to hatch a plan, but they know Jessica would be voted out if she is still OTB.
Josh HOH = Paul HOH
That fight last night was awful to watch. I am not a Jody fan but I didn't know Raven could be so nasty. And I do wonder about those cat ears, did Jessica steal them from Alex?
My understanding is that they're on Day 42 and she hasn't cycled since being in the house. There has been conversation on the feeds about baby gender and baby names and whether or not production will tell Cody after he's been evicted. Of course all of it is SPECULATION. Could easily just be a joke for the feeds...
Love Cody and Jessica, if only because of everyone else in the House. Anyone who wants to rag on Cody and Jessica has to either overlook or embrace the rampant bullying by the rest of the House. Even the supposedly "nice people" (Kevin or Matt) have remained silent and aligned with the evil doers. They are, therefore, accessories to the bullying and bullies themselves.
Here's hoping for a miracle and a Jody win. The bullies should not be rewarded for their bullying.
*mwah* Joe!
There is a backdoor plan afoot... YAY
Speaking of The Invisible Man, he looked incredibly uncomfortable during several of the events shown yesterday. If I were Jody, I'd try harder to flip him.
In his conversation with Jess about what Cody might have said to him during Week 1, he essentially took Cody's side and said (paraphrasing), "I didn't want to get into that. It was 5 weeks ago. Things have changed." I'm sure Paul would have preferred that Matt back up Paul's story rather than basically tell Jessica that Cody was okay to trust.
And during the fight in the kitchen and then the bullying in the yard, he looked very uncomfortable. At some point, he's going to have to ask himself about what aligning with Paul says about HIM.
Hi Petals.
Backdoor plan for whom? Paul?
Joe,
Josh is ticked about Paul taking over his HOH and basically kicking him out to go 'fetch' Paul water... so Paul could talk to Elena.
The backdoor plan:
Josh doesn't trust Elena and wants her out more than Jessica or Cody, but he doesn't want to tell Paul. He'd rather work with Christmas behind the scenes to make it happen.
Bringing this over from Jackie's last blog post:
Terry is a Texan... asked when Christmas got her Veto:
Christmas received one of America's Temptations. It's the Veto/Replacement and she's been holding/saving it all this time. Maybe you'll remember that the result for Christmas accepting the temptation was Jason and Cody dressed as V-Toads (frogs) for a week.
Of all the Temptations, her's appeared to be the least interesting, but who knows?
There didn't seem to be a time-limit on when she could use it, and it could very well turn out to be great/shocking... hopefully to Paul. LOL
Yes, what Sharon said! Thanks Sharon.
AND - Josh says Jody will always be targets, but there is no rush for HIM to remove them. He wants Elena gone.
Who would have imagined that JOSH would be the smartest person in the house this week?
But it is true, Joe: Paul was barking orders at Josh, slept in the room, etc. He has become a little dictator. Finally someone is tired of it.
Josh told Christmas, "Paul has his own agenda, I have mine!"
I'm with you, Joe. I know Cody was a POS in the beginning. But, IMO, he has redeemed himself. He never cover up his dislike for Paul. He wanted Paul out. He said he did; and he said he'd never work with Paul. He has always been outspoken about this. Since that time, it's been NOTHING but attack Jody. It's been non-stop. This has been, IMO, one of the most vicious BB for a long time.
I wish they had shown the attack on Cody's military record. I know there were many who questioned it and made lite of his military awards. Here's the problem, any other more "outstanding" awards require you to either be dead or injured.
The lowest of valor award, the bronze star, gets awarded more during war time, but the requirement is very steep. Since 2001, there have been about 7,000 Bronze Stars rewarded. Silver star is much less at about 400. Everyone of these people who have received these awards have Purple hearts.
I hosted a group of honored Ohio Veterans and Gold star families last week. Every one of the purple heart recipients were severely injured. My point is, you do not have to be rewarded a medal of valor to have served in the military. Those who leave a war zone without being wounded are very lucky. Cody was very lucky; however, the mental wounds stay forever.
Now, for Josh. If he succeeds, Elana could go home. He's FINALLY thinking strategy. I have to give him kudos for thinking for himself. Since Paul has overtaken his HOH room, his solitaire is elsewhere.
Christmas's veto/replacement should worry people. She can take away their veto anytime. So, if Cody, Jessica, or Elana win the veto, she could zap it from their hands. I don't think the house guests are thinking clearly about this reward.
How many know about her Veto replacement? If nobody knows, yay. She can really wreck havoc with it.
Nickelpeed- I don't think Christmas' power is that she can snatch someone's veto. Her power is that she can step in and substitute herself to play for the veto.
Now that I think about it, I believe chrob61 is correct. Christmas can substitute herself to play in Veto comp. I don't remember if she ever told anyone that she has that power though.
In reality, the Temptation Christmas received is not as good as any of the other temptations. But used wisely, it could prove to be a glitch in Paul's plans. When the time is right, she could pull Paul to play in Veto herself, and leave Paul open to eviction.
Christmas can't take the veto away from someone that has won it, she can take away their opportunity to play in the veto and she plays in their place. With her injury, if she takes someone's place, she probably won't win, but she can prevent them from having the chance to win.
I don't understand how sending Elena home is great strategy. What has she done exactly? His HOH will be as pointless as Jessica's.
Thank you anon 4:18, I see what you mean now. So, if the person is on the block. Will they still be on the block? They can't use it on themselves?
I still got Chistmas's veto wrong, right? She could replace them in a veto comp, right? But she won't.
Penny,
Yes, she can replace someone if she wants to play IN the comp.
However, what I'm not clear about is if she can only replace someone with herself... or if she would be allowed to pull 1 person from the Veto comp and replace with someone else (who would be more likely to win).
Considering her injury, the replacement would only be of value [to her] if it's a mental comp, or maybe a random comp (like the HOH just played... and she got a good score). If a comp is anything too physical, BB won't let her play.
The person will still be on the block.
For example, if Cody and Jessica are on the block, when it came time to pick players for the veto competition, Christmas could say she will play in Cody's place. That way he doesn't have the chance to play and win the veto to take himself off the block.
At least, that is the way I understood it.
Again Joe I agree with you! Now who would think Josh can think for himself!?! Wow...
Targeting Elena is insane. She's no threat to anyone. It makes no sense unless it's part of bigger plan to get someone else out.
Raven did
uncartie, I agree completely.
Josh says Elena is shady, but he's only targeting her because she voted to evict him.
She explained that everyone told her to vote that way. They (Paul) planned on leaving her hanging out to dry. No matter what she says, Josh doesn't care... she voted against him. End of story.
Josh isn't even looking at people he should, i.e., PAUL and ALEX. Heck, even Jason or Kevin (biting my tongue)... hate to see them go thought since they are our only real entertainment.
Christmas explained her Veto competition to Paul last night. Christmas says she can not replace the HOH or any of the nominees on the block with her Ring of Replacement, She said that she could not use it if she was already playing. She told Paul that she did not think it had an expiration date. She said she would get a refresher course on the rules.
Thanks Glenn,
Good to know how Christmas' "RoR" actually works.
Wish she hadn't told Paul though.
Really hate Fridays now with these temptation comps. Feeds still down for over nine hours now. Grrr
YW Sharon. Hopefully Christmas will use it when she wants to use it.
Must be one of those comps that's lengthy, and one player at a time.
Or.... it's been over for a while and BB forgot to flip the switch. LOL
Cody's safe and Jessica is the automatic third nom. Josh still wants Elena out this week.
Nom ceremony underway. Will be about an hour until feeds, and BBAD, return.
The comp sounded a lot like the one they did in BB OTT. Fits with the haunted week theme too. They probably kept them all in the back yard and sent them into the house one at a time. Kevin said something about his room or space being messed with so I'm thinking it was the same comp idea. They had scary people sitting in rooms in the dark so when the HG came across them, it scared the crap out of them.
Looks like a fun one to watch on Sunday. Goody!!! :)))
What happened? I go to the restroom, return and old show is on. I though maybe Elena had stop talking. Get her out.
Josh needs to get Jess out for his own game. He's thinking way too emotionally on this. Elena might flip flop but Jess is stronger, will very likely come after him AND has a better chance of realigning w stong people in the house.
Things are getting interesting. Nice to see Paul getting nervous. Looks like he may be losing control of some of his minions. He apparently underestimated Josh's ability and willingness to think independently.
Jackie, they're doing the nominations ceremony/meeting. They block that to the feeds and BBAD.
Once he Josh sets the non and the veto plays out if Jess is still on the block the house can vote her out and Josh will be mad but what can he do.
Josh should put up Paul and Elena, not Mark and Elena!
If Josh has his way, Elena will be evicted... and Jess/Cody will both be safe for another week. I'm REALLY enjoying the fact that Paul hasn't been able to sway Josh... yet.
Since Cody won Safety, it's not even an option for Josh/Paul to get him out this week.
Paul knows Cody has his number, which is why he's working Josh so hard to get Jessica out (instead of Elena). He thinks it would weaken Cody.
If Jess/Cody both manage to stay, and then one of them wins HOH, I think they are both smart enough not to go after Josh yet (despite the pans banging). They both know there's lot bigger fish to fry, namely Paul and Alex!!
For those who didn't watch BB OTT. This was the intro to the comp from the BB OTT youtube page.

This was Shelby doing the comp in BB OTT. It will be even more hysterical with the BB editing for the Sunday show. :)))

A lot of interesting things could happen in the next couple of days and on Thursday. Cody could be picked to play in the veto, but it will be interesting to see if Christmas uses her Ring of Replacement on him to knock him out of playing. My guess is she will. Jessica needs to win this outright for any chance to come off the block.
Looks like Mark and Elena nominated
Mark and Elena??? Wow! Cody won the temptation comp? Jess is third nominee? Dang, I missed a lot! LOL.
Trust me, it's been a LOOONNNNGGGGG day for feed watchers, LOL.
How funny will it be funny if Jess plays and wins Veto?
Just think of all the tangled webs we can consider!
IF Jess could pull Elena down...
Cody has Safety, so that option is out for Josh.
We know he won't put Paul or Alex up (like he should).
Christmas is his his ally (he thinks).
I doubt he would consider Jason or Kevin right now either.
So it would have to be Matt or Raven.
Geez, look st all those errors...time for bed. Obviously!!
I'm wondering here... wouldn't it have been smarter for only one of Jody to play in the comp? That way only one of them could possibly lose and go up as the third nominee? I'm trying to think this through here, lol. I think JODY would have been better off just playing one of them and hindsight says Cody should play. What would have Josh done tonight if Cody won and Jessica was still safe. He might have just went with the get Elena out of there anyway plan. Who knows. Oh, Big Brother!!
Sharon, I'd say Jess has to save herself because she's on the block. If you're on the block you have to use it on yourself or take someone down and leave yourself up there. Evel Dick in S8. Jessica is the only one who can't be replaced if the veto is used on her as the third nominee and I really don't see anyone but Josh doing that if it happens. She needs to save herself.
All these people, except Elena, are always too confident about winning comps!
Now that Cody has Safety, there's no guarantee he'll be picked to play, but I think they felt better having Jess as 3rd nom and having the chance to win Veto...rather than chancing the backdoor.
I'm officially on the Alex train
LOL @ Monty! She's such a great player. She's strong. And, I love her ears!
I think the only way they were going to stay in the House is to win the Temptation and the Veto. I think it actually works in their favor to have the automatic nomination and the Temptation. It guarantees that Jess can't be backdoored by not playing POV. Frankly, I also think that the fact that Cody is staying makes Jessica slightly (and I mean slightly) less of a target because it is really Cody that Paul wants out. He's no ally of Jess, but I don't think he much cares if she stays or goes. Cody is his obsession.
Of course, if Jess wins POV, it becomes a somewhat drama-free week. There's no replacement nom. Elena goes home. And unless Paul loses his marbles again and decides to try and get Cody to self-evict, the possible HORROR of a Josh HOH will not come to pass. LOL.
Unfortunately, until we have another Mark or Jody HOH, we want see the cracks in Paul's cult.
