Yes, the feeds were blocked once again -- most of the day for the Safety Suite and the latest was the nominations block.
I called it right. Memphis nominated David and Nicole A.
David is really ticked off. Apparently Memphis was nasty to him during the Have Not announcement. Now he's going on about his "words" during nominations. He says he doesn't know where the hate is coming from.
Hmm.

Okay, I found out at least something he said. Christmas said he Memphis said "Welcome to the grown-ups table." And, apparently what he said in the Have Not thing was similar. Although I do think it rude, I also think many of us viewers feel he's out of his league and shouldn't be on an All Star season.
When they did that Facebook quiz and David did not even know what OTEV was?? I think they don’t appreciate he was picked for All Stars.
Whatever keeps Kaysar and Janelle safe..I am good with that.
i agree David is likable but an all star he is not. You know they could even do a “first out” season with all the ones kicked off first that would be kind of cool. But when a BB all star comes to mind, I could think of way more memorable past hamsters then even some of the others they chose as is that are on this season.
David is not the only one who doesn't belong on an All Star season..
Jon.I would be ok with a first out season too
I agree. They don't respect David as a player. His twitter person says he's playing dumb, but if that is true he's going way overboard because they just don't have any respect for him as a player on THIS season. He really should go this week. Sorry David...
Cheryl - True, many should just be considered veterans. I think they had problems casting due to the pandemic and had to lower the bar. I also think that production thought the "All-Stars" title would bring in a larger audience.
I liked David. And he’s cute. I just don’t think he belongs there. He is in over his head It seems like a pity pick to put him on TV.
Terry - I believe he was a recruit last season and hadn't even watched the show. If memory serves he gave some kind of answer like "I'm a recent fan" when they interviewed him in sequester pre-season for BB21.
Poor David, they all know he was a last-minute replacement for Slaggy, so they should take it easy on him. Geesh.
More infuriating is the hatred for Janelle & Kaysar. Kevin is actively campaigning for everyone to turn on her. He's making up stories, buzzing around like a mean little bee. A-hole!
Once again, another week of J/K's names being in everyones mouths. THEY are the stars of this season, for as much as they are mentioned in every single conversation.
What is your source on that information -- that he replaced Swaggy? I saw that nowhere.
What I read said Swaggy was never going to be on the show as his wife was on it. They couldn't cast a married couple on the same show. One or the other, but not both. David had nothing to do with that.
Agree, David was a replacement, and an exceptionally poor choice for the All Stars season. Too many All Star names floated, so we can't know who David actually replaced. BB must have been desperate to pick him! lol
On the other hand, it's always a plus for CBS when there's negativity or nastiness in the house. It increases the audience. Every. Time.
From what I've read from numerous sources, 20 were quarantined for a week and then sequestered in CA for two weeks -- 16 HG and 4 alternates. Swaggy was never a part of the 20. When Josh and Kaycee got the boot due to Josh's false positive COVID test and the fact that he and Kaycee were hanging out in Miami when they were supposed to quarantine, two alternates took their place on the show -- Christmas and Kevin. David had been in the planned cast all along and nothing was done last minute. They did plan well ... just planed David in the wrong season.
Where are you getting your information that he was a replacement? As for why he's on ... the logical answer would be that CBS saw all the backlash from last season and the fan reaction to him, thus deciding he needed to be cast. In a way, they may have thought he had star quality due to the fan reaction from last year. I just don't think they realized how bad and uninformed he is about the game. But he was not a replacement.
I heard he replaced Swaggy...but maybe my source was uninformed. Swag was a no-go because his mother tweeted that he was part of the new cast. That was what I heard. But I am glad he isn't on this season! My friend must've jumped the gun in sourcing the info. I apologize.
BUT - the casting of David seems to be a backfire...I am surprised that he didn't use the time from last season to at least brush-up a little on Big Brother. He sticks out like a sore thumb. He's an attractive guy, but awkward.
I'd rather Ovi had been there. David is a dud.
We need a Pandora's Box to introduce a real game-changer! Someone NOT connected to the Cody faction.
PS - Kevin has turned into a nasty little girl. What did Janelle do to make him turn on her like this?
Explains why Christmas is there..She is definitely not an all star either ( but glad she kept Ian safe this week)
My personal opinion regarding all the animosity towards Janelle is pretty much jealousy due to her iconic reputation on the show. I watched Dani and Da'vonne talk about how unfeeling and uncaring she (Janelle) is. And, to be honest, I do see that a bit when Janelle is among people that aren't in her circle of friends. She can come across as having an "I'm better than you" kind of vibe but I've also seen her very caring with those she cares about.
Petals - Tyler's mother is the one who posted that he (Tyler) was a part of the cast. Swaggy slipped and said Bayleigh was a part of the cast. Your source is a bit off!
Interesting Jackie. Hard to understand why CBS would cast David for All Stars. It's painfully obvious he doesn't qualify for that title, so I assumed he was a last-minute replacement.
Before accepting, maybe David should have seriously considered the fact that this season is "All Stars," not "First Out," and realized he wouldn't be receiving that kind of respect. It's too bad Memphis chose to be rude, but considering the size of Memphis' ego....
Sharon - I think the immediacy of the season played a role. They got a lot of (deserved) heat for last season and the outcry over David was strong. They probably thought it would bring in more viewers and smooth over some wrongs. I just think that no one realized how really bad he is at the game!
Jackie.
yup, immediacy was probably the biggest issue.
CBS had to be feeling the pressure from last season's mess and wanted to smooth ruffled feathers. If that's the case, they should have scheduled a regular season of greenhorns. Had CBS saved "All Stars" for next year, they could have had a better all-around selection.
But... coulda woulda shoulda.
Still we are lucky to have our summer entertainment again.
May the deserving player win!!
This may be an unpopular opinion but I'm really sick of the persistent Dude/Bro'/East Coast/Alpha Male-type alliances that always form on BB at the start. Maybe it's because I'm from such a different demographic group. These guys congregate in the HOH room the first week or two, come up with lame Alliance names and Bro' out all over themselves, then target "Outliers" (such as Nicole A. or Kevin). It was really smart for Da'Vonne and Bayleigh to crack into the Cody/Enzo alliance-- more power to them!
My issue with David is that I’m disappointed in him. I was a fan last year (he was also my pool pick) but let’s be honest, last year was a terrible cast so maybe I was a fan because I didn’t have a lot to choose from. I’ve heard him several times say that he wanted to be the first black person to win. My issue is he has done NOTHING to make that happen except show up and expect it to be handed to him. I feel like that’s extremely lazy and very entitled. He needed to study. He has no idea about anything on the show. It’s really disappointing. He could be a great player if he took it a little more seriously. Also, I watched Kevin and Dani slamming Janelle last night and it really showed their true colors.
Yes, I am tired of the “Commission” type alliances. They do seem to pick on those who are different or a bit nerdy. It would be so great and so unexpected if a Bro-type alliance actually teamed up with a few of the people who are different...no one would see that coming and they could possibly get pretty far!
On a different note, what are Kaysar and Janelle doing to try and get some people to join them? Why can’t anyone see that joining with Kaysar at the start may get them pretty far in the game?
Celine - they are trying, but everyone they talk to has already been warned away from them :(
Dr Celine,
The others are awed AND jealous of the Janelle and Kaysar popularity. Every one of them would like to say they took out 1 or both. It's actually kind of crazy. Although both have gone far in BB before, it's not like either has won, but... fame ya know.
I was happy with Tyrone's (oops Tyler's) alliance in his season. Although there was a bro group, Tyler's alliance was a mix of people. I did think he deserved the win, but happy when Kaycee won. Pool girl gave me the warm fuzzies. LOL
