Long Time, No Blog -- BB23 Starts Soon!

So ... how have you been?

Before we get really into things BB23 -- I received notification that Feedburner will be eliminating email notifications to anyone subscribed in July. Oh noes! Offhand I don't really know of another service. I will have to research that. What I can suggest is using my social media notifications on either Facebook or Twitter. I always link my posts to those platforms as soon as they're published. Here's the info -- My Twitter and my Facebook Big Brother Page. (Click on the links.) You can always sign up for my personal FB page but I only post show night links there, not the live feeds and other links.

What's the latest news about the show?!?!

Unfortunately, the latest news is that there isn't much news. Hmm ... let's see ...

  • Julie Chen-Moonves will be hosting as she has done every season.
  • No house images have been released yet.
  • CBS has new criteria for diversity on their reality shows. But I bet we still won't see a lot of diversity in ages! (Grr.)
  • According to various sources, the casting has been finished and the new hamsters and alternates have started their pre-season sequesters which include a two-week quarantine due to Covid precautions and a third week of regular sequester. They will once again be tested for Covid prior to entering the house.
  • The season premiere is set for Wednesday, July 7 at 8pm ET/PT and will be 90 minutes.
  • The regular weekly shows are to be an hour and are scheduled for: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursdays all at 8pm ET/PT, followed by Love Island (gag).
  • CBS All Access has changed to Paramount Plus. Same feeds venue, different name.
  • RUMORS: All new cast, theme for the show and the house is BB Rebirth or New Beginnings. No one goes home the first night and an HOH will occur in the premier. These rumors I can't really verify other than they're coming from a fairly often reliable spoilers source.
More news as I get the news ...

BB22: Live Feeds, Winner HOH Part One - Oct. 23

Enzo chows down

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Dwindling Days:
  • The feeds were blocked for a good chunk (or, to be honest ... chunks) of time since the live show.
  • They got their feast with champagne and all.
  • We only saw the aftermath of that.
  • They did the first part of the HoH three part final comp.
  • We only saw the aftermath of that.
  • Nicole won the first part.
  • From what they're saying, it was one of those comps in which they're suspended and spinning around hitting things.
  • They said it was slippery. Maybe rain and goop sprayed on them?
  • Cody said he kept hitting the moon.
  • Enzo was saying that they'll probably be mocked for how quickly the comp was over.
  • So, yeah. I can actually see Nicole winning a comp like that over either Cody or Enzo. And Cody would probably do better than Enzo.
  • The second and third parts of the comp won't be until the live finale show.
  • So, we're into the doldrums until then.
  • Gah.
  • Enzo and Cody will compete in the second part. In the third part the winner of part two will go against Nicole (winner of part one). The winner of the third part chooses who will go into the final two with him or her and sends the third wheel packin'.
  • They talked about how Christmas probably won't get along with people in the jury house.
  • Heh. Y'think?
  • All three are getting along well.
  • This is going to be way boring.
  • I thought I knew boring before.
  • But I ain't seen nuthin' yet.
  • That's all for now!
Oh! The America's Favorite Player voting is on this link.

That wasn't my comp

BB22: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Oct. 20

Enzo -- you're indoors!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Bored Badgers:
  • I'm giving you a report because I promised you a report.
  • Okay ... hmm ...
  • They've been talking a lot about hamsters in the house this season as well as the other seasons they played. Compare and contrast, if you will.
  • They've been playing board games.
  • They've been cleaning out the refrigerator.
  • They've been cooking.
  • Enzo is the first person who can make watching them play chess in the house amusing.
  • "I don't like that pawn dude breathing on my horsie!"
  • The veto meeting won't be until the live show on Thursday as it's only one vote -- Cody (as he won PoV).
  • Enzo is going to take his cow Moolan home with him to NJ.
  • I wonder if Tyler will sue for visitation rights.
  • Christmas knows that Cody will vote her out.
  • Yet she periodically tries to convince him otherwise.
  • Lots of studying going on for questions comp in the three part HoH comp.
  • Christmas has become buddy-buddy with Nicole.
  • Enzo thinks she wants an invite to Nicole's wedding.
  • Christmas pushes her website whenever she can.
  • At least she stopped crying so much.
  • The feeds still get randomly blocked over nothing.
  • Speaking of nothing ... I really have nothing more to report.

Cool beans Cody

At least he took off the sunglasses

Enzo playing chess is amusing

We still see you, Christmas

BB22: Live Feeds - Power of Veto Winner - Oct. 17

Yes, we have a new Power of Veto winner. Nicole has been obsessively studying, figuring it would be questions. Christmas has been busy moping and crying. Even Enzo has been studying.

CODY won the Power of Veto.

His win pretty much guarantees that Enzo, Cody and Nicole will be our final three. He will leave the noms the same and, as the sole vote, will vote out Christmas on Thursday.

BB22: Live Feeds into Friday Evening, Nominations - Oct. 16

This is it, that's my speech.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Acrimonious Asses:
  • As you know from my last brief update, Enzo is the new HOH.
  • It seems, although I didn't catch any of them outright saying it, that Cody may have thrown the comp to Enzo.
  • If so, I don't know why.
  • But, then again, he's the one who brought Derrick with him in the final two of his season.
  • When Enzo talks to Cody, he's all "Jersey Boys never on the block to the final two."
  • He told Cody he will put Nicole and Christmas on the block.
  • But Enzo has his doubts about keeping Nicole in the game.
  • He thinks that Nicole would take Cody to the final two and it's possible that Cody would take Nicole.
  • Nicole was acting very upset with Enzo and even with Cody a bit last night after the HoH comp.
  • Christmas is just acting very defeated. Her threat of Comp Christmas never came to fruition and she feels all alone.
  • She's lost her best friend in the house.
  • She has lost her alliance member.
  • Woe is her. Play a sad Christmas song.
  • Today the live feeds went on another extended block.
  • It turns out this block was for some kind of luxury comp tied in with BB Comics.
  • As we couldn't watch the comp on the feeds, I can only go by what they're saying.
  • It sounds like they each had to choose a BB Comic of a jury member and one would win $10,000 for themselves and the same for that jury member.
  • Apparently Nicole chose Memphis and ended up winning the money for both her and Memphis.
  • Oh noes!
  • That threw poor pitiful Christmas further into the pit of despair.
  • SHE should have won the money for herself and her best friend in the house.
  • WOE IS HER.
  • Plus, she thinks Enzo is going to put her on the block.
  • She's probably right about that.
  • But, as much as he wanted Christmas out before, I think Enzo would prefer Nicole out due to her connection with Cody.
  • Of course, this is the week with only one person voting.
  • If, for example, Christmas and Nicole go on the block, it could go down a few ways. If the veto is not used, Cody would be the sole vote. He would vote out Christmas.
  • If Nicole wins the veto and saves herself, Cody would go on the block. But Nicole would vote out Christmas.
  • If Christmas wins veto, Cody would go on the block and Christmas would vote him out.
  • It's no longer Follow the HOH time. It will be whomever that veto holder or sole voter wants to keep.
  • Ahh ... the feeds are back.
  • Hmm. It seems like Enzo did indeed nominate Christmas and Nicole.
  • He does have this thing about how he and Cody will make BB history by being the the Jersey guys who were never on the block all season.
  • Well, either he or Cody will have to win veto for that to happen!

Thinks she might be targeted.

Comp Christmas was a no show.

BB22: Live Feeds New HoH - Oct. 16

Yes, there is a new HoH in town. Keep in mind that this HoH is guaranteed a spot in the final three. However, this week's veto winner will hold all the power -- a spot in the final three and the sole vote for eviction.

That said, YO ENZO ... congratulations on your HOH win!

Finally wearing that HOH key!

Also, a commenter mentioned on my show post that she couldn't get email notification on posts here like she used to get. I hadn't realized with all the Blogger changes that the option disappeared. I put in a new email notification widget at the top of the right sidebar if you're interested!

BB22: Live Feeds into Thursday - Oct. 15

Sans messy bun yawn

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Mousy Moles:

  • I really don't have much for you.
  • But with all the other posting I did yesterday and the fact that I didn't post a live feeds report, I felt bad.
  • Oh, not real bad, mind you.
  • Not so bad that a dish of ice cream wouldn't cure it.
  • Y'see ... there's really nothing new to report.
  • They could have had the eviction after the veto meeting but prolonged our agony.
  • Memphis will go home tonight.
  • The show will be edited to make it look like they're seriously considering sending Christmas home.
  • And, if she was on the block with anyone other than Memphis, it would be her.
  • Enzo still has a bug in his baseball cap that it should be Christmas voted out.
  • But he will go along with Cody and Nicole.
  • If Christmas doesn't win HOH tonight, she will be the next out.
  • At this time, Cody could win the season over any of them. Enzo could win it over Nicole or Christmas. Christmas's only chance for the win would be over Nicole because Nicole is a previous winner. That one is iffy though.
  • It will be nice to put this season out of its misery.

In between day and sleep hats

Against anyone, he will win

One will go tonight. We know who.

BB22: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Oct. 13

His time may be coming

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Blocked Live Feeds:
  • I realize I didn't update after the veto meeting.
  • But, as expected, Nicole left her nominations in place.
  • She got all dolled up sweet and innocent to tell them at the meeting.
  • Christmas continues to work on Nicole and believes she's staying.
  • Memphis continues to work on Enzo and Cody and believes he's staying.
  • Only one can stay.
  • We all know that Nicole, who can only vote if there's a tie, wants Memphis out this week.
  • Cody is to the point where he wants Memphis out because he thinks Memphis has been dishonest to him. He thinks Memphis knows about Christmas plotting to get him backdoored and deliberately didn't say anything about it. He also thinks Memphis is more likely to win comps and would take Christmas over either of them.
  • Enzo, on the other hand, thinks Christmas is the bigger threat.
  • When Enzo, Cody and Nicole all get together, they seem to be in consensus that Christmas will stay this week, Memphis out.
  • Meanwhile, Christmas has been talking to us (lucky us) threatening that it's time to bring out Comp Christmas, referring to herself in the third party. Unlike Nice Housewife and Mother Christmas, Comp Christmas will crush them all in the comps.
  • Um.
  • Okay.
  • We had a long feeds block last night which went totally unexplained.
  • All in all, it still looks like a Memphis ouster this week.
  • Then I guess we will see Comp Christmas. I hope she doesn't talk as much about herself as the Christmas we know.

Looking all sweet and innocent

Comp Christmas will CRUSH them!

Smiling faces ...

I don't trust Christmas more

BB22: Live Feeds into Sunday Afternoon - Oct. 11

Checking for fleas, Cody?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hapless Hedgehogs:

  • For the first time this season, Memphis seems to be actually mixing, mingling and having an actual personality.
  • Those efforts might be coming just a bit too late.
  • Christmas is really working on Nicole trying to get her to use the veto to take her (or even Memphis) down, replace the nom with Cody and backdoor Cody.
  • While I am so not a Christmas fan, in a way she's right. If Cody makes it to the final two he would win against anyone. He has had a great social and comps game.
  • Nicole, on the other hand, would probably lose to anyone except maybe Christmas because she's a previous winner.
  • Of course, it won't hurt her to keep up her winning streak.
  • This is the second time she has won BB Comics.
  • Enzo has won little but his social game is superb. I think the jury would probably vote for him just because of that and his family.
  • Enzo discovered a teakettle whistles when the water boils. He's been always using a pot to boil water.
  • Heh.
  • It's hard to tell when Enzo is lying. When he talks to Christmas, he makes it sound like he would vote to keep her. When he talks to Memphis, he makes it sound like he's keeping him.
  • When Nicole and Cody talk about it, although Christmas gets on their last nerve, it seems like Memphis is indeed the target as he's more of a threat for the win.
  • Enzo will do whatever Cody wants.
  • No matter what, Nicole will not be using that veto.
  • The Twitter world is abuzz with the exaggerated impression that Memphis and Christmas kissed.
  • I watched it. It didn't look like a kiss to me. It looked like Christmas was whispering something to him and didn't want the feeds to pick it up.
  • It all reminds me of BB1 when so many show fans claimed George kicked Pugita. No, he did not kick the dog. He gently nudged her out of the way using his foot because his hands were full and she was underfoot. It was not a kick and this latest was not a kiss.
  • But rabid fans always see more into things than actually exist.
  • Christmas and Nicole are all into attracting new sponsors for their Instagram pages.
  • Gag me now, please.
  • Anyway, it boils down to I think Nicole will be loyal to Cody since she's playing for second place anyway.
  • I do think Cody and Enzo will take the shot at Memphis.
  • Of course, they could each vote for one and make Nicole break the tie.
  • Heh.

Chug that wine, Christmas!

Luck or plan?

What? Memphis has a personality?

Yes, Enzo. Teakettles whistle.

BB22: Live Feeds - We Have a POV Winner - Oct. 10

The comp was blocked to the live feeds ... of course. But, when the feeds came back, they were all dressed as superheroes with capes. It was the BB Comics comp.

Oh. And, Nicole won it. So, she's the HoH and Power of Veto holder.

BB22: Live Feeds into Friday Evening, Nominations - Oct. 9

IF YOU WANT IN ON THE AMAZING RACE BLOG POOL, THE SIGN UP POST IS HERE!

You're boring us, too.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boring Boars:
  • As you know from my brief update last night, Nicole is the new HoH.
  • So, we know that Cody is safe this week.
  • And, because Cody is safe this week, that means Enzo is safe this week.
  • Oh my.
  • That leaves two people -- Christmas and Memphis -- for the chopping block.
  • Sure enough, that's where the discussions go.
  • Enzo is worried that if Memphis saves himself with the veto, he will go up in his place.
  • Well, duh. Yeah.
  • Nicole assures him that if that happens, she will save him in a tiebreaker.
  • Okay, that would be what her buddy Cody wants!
  • So, the real problem is the target.
  • It's sounding like Memphis although they all want Christmas out, too.
  • Memphis is more of a threat in comps.
  • Memphis put Nicole on the block.
  • On the other hand, Christmas didn't use her veto to save her and she promised Dani she would target her.
  • It sounds like they'll go with the more strategic target -- Memphis.
  • Meanwhile, in addition to Nicole's recent studying, it looks like Enzo is the only other one memorizing the days and comps.
Surprise, surprise -- the feeds came back. Nicole nominated Memphis and Christmas.

It's so sad I have to nominate people.

Shooting for 3rd again? Win something!

Needs something stronger.

Studying for the Raisin Bran test.

BB22; Live Feeds HoH Winner - Oct. 9

Yes, the live feeds remained blocked for the three hours after the show ended here on the East Coast. Between that practice and the gazillion other feeds blocks, it's been an incredibly annoying season. Don't even get me started on the cast!

While we didn't see the comp play out, it's impossible for them to keep it hushed. Nicole is the new HoH.
You heard me.
Nicole.

BB22: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Oct. 6

Christmas's buddy

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Anxious Ants:
  • Another day in the house of fun and adventure.
  • Yeah, right.
  • Well, we didn't have any insanely long feed blocks.
  • Just a heck of a lot of short ones.
  • Lots and lots of small talk today.
  • Oh, and Christmas continues to suck up to Nicole for her vote.
  • Today she used her culinary slop skills to work her way into Nicole's heart.
  • Gag me now.
  • Tyler would like to think he might get Nicole's vote to stay.
  • But he knows deep down inside that's probably not going to happen.
  • Yeah, Cody. It looks like Tyler will go home on your HoH despite what you said to him.
  • And it's all because of kowtowing to Memphis.
  • There just isn't a heck of a lot happening.
  • I'd dance to entertain you.
  • But, no.
  • I'll just quietly post this.
  • Laters.

At this point, I'm fine with an Enzo win

I wish she would go away

Is that a hair mat atop her head?

Will he stay? Probably not.

BB22: Live Feeds into Monday - Oct. 5

Pretty inside and out ... um ...

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Inexplicable Live Feeds Blocks:
  • Yeah, I'm getting pretty disgusted with all the live feeds blocking this season.
  • Heck, they get a booze delivery and take the feeds down for two hours.
  • It's ridiculous.
  • And now they're even messing with the aired television episodes. Due to football delays on Sundays, they changed the veto show to Monday nights.
  • Um.
  • There's football scheduled tonight on CBS.
  • The local listings have BB scheduled for 10pm tonight. That's IF football has ended by then.
  • I'll put a post up for the show, but don't know if I will live blog it really late at night. Grr.
  • Okay, back to the live feeds.
  • Nicole is setting herself up well for pretty much the only kind of comp she can win -- questions.
  • She's been studying alone using the backgammon board and knows the days and comps inside out and upside down.
  • As for the nominees -- Christmas and Tyler -- unless you see an update from me stating otherwise, they're still on the block.
  • I'm sure Cody will not be using the veto to change his own nominations.
  • However, he has indeed let Memphis get in his head.
  • Cody's original target was Christmas.
  • He thought he would have both Enzo and Nicole on board to evict her.
  • Now Memphis has been turning the target to Tyler with Enzo.
  • Enzo will go along with whomever as long as it's not him. He might actually like Tyler better than he does Christmas. But if taking Tyler out is better for his own game, that's what he'll do.
  • Nicole has good reason to target Christmas -- she promised Dani revenge. But it looks like she too might be swayed to vote out Tyler.
  • I personally like Tyler, but do think that it would be more dangerous letting him stay until the end while they have the chance to evict him now.
  • He's good at comps and he gets along well with others.
  • Then you have Christmas. While she's won a few comps, she's often rubbed others a bit wrong.
  • Most of the others would rather sit next to a Christmas in a final two than a Tyler.
  • I guess I don't blame them.

Sitting pretty once again this week

Studying days and comps alone

Cheers before the feeds cut

Knows he's in trouble this week
