BB23: Live Feeds, Nominations, High Rollers Friday - Aug. 20

I won't listen to Kyland, talks all night to Kyland.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Gambling Gophers:

  • It's Friday. Between nominations and the High Rollers twist, we had a lot of blocked live feeds.
  • As could be predicted, Kyland had a lot of influence on SarahBeth's HOH ... even though she claimed he wouldn't.
  • The nominations were as I mentioned she was planning in my last update -- Derek F and Claire.
  • Both of them would basically be pawns as it's really a backdoor plan with Derek X as the target.
  • SarahBeth had promised Claire that she would take her off if she wins veto.
  • Then, the High Rolllers Room opened.
  • This week cost $125, so it's likely some could not afford it.
  • The winner of the game removes someone from the block and then it's up to the spin of a roulette wheel who will be the renom.
  • Alyssa won that, took Derek F off the block.
  • Say what?
  • You heard me. She took Derek F off the block.
  • The spin of the roulette wheel and it's ... Xavier.
  • So, it's Xavier and Claire on the block.
  • We all know Xavier has the Cookout voting block behind him.
  • Claire does not know (although she has suspected) about the Cookout, thinks she might actually have a chance if the nominations remain the same.
  • She doesn't.
  • Nope, no chance. The only way a Cookout member will go home is if two are on the block at the same time.
  • Claire is also aware and has warned Derek X that this is probably a scheme to backdoor him this week.
  • The only way both Derek X and Claire can make it through the week is if Derek X wins veto and takes Claire off the block.
  • If Claire wins veto and saves herself or anyone else wins and saves her (or Xavier), Derek X will go up.
  • Since SarahBethKyland is unsure that Derek X would be evicted if he were to sit next to Claire, they would want him sitting next to Xavier.
  • Unfortunately, the writing is on the wall anyway.
  • No way will a non-Cookout member win the show this season even if one makes it to the final two.
  • The likelihood of two non-Cookout members in the final two is just about nil.
  • The jury will have five Cookout votes if only one of them make it to the final two.
  • Veto plays out tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Things not looking up for our hero

Can't actually think she can win against Xavier!
Really?

Is this one of the most successful alliances in Big Brother? Definitely one of the most controversial. I like it. However the fun will begin once the Cookout has to turn on each other. But I heard that there might be a triple eviction coming up which will pretty much ruin that part. A triple will steal 2 weeks of the cookout turning on each other and zips us to the boring final weeks.

I was really hoping that SB would have taken charge of her own HOH. The alliance seems like a bunch of bullies who tell u ur gone if u go against me. I would love some independent thinkers for a change. Do i hear an amen!

Cherry - I won't go into the reasons SB is not in charge of her HOH (they are too tired, LOL), but of course she turned it over to Kyland.
Who - by the way - has become Dr Jekyll and Mr Kyland!
Ky & Hannah both discussed how easy it will be to say BYE to DX. They both like him and all, but "this is a game".
Twitterverse is holding a collective *fingers crossed* for DX to play & WIN the Veto today.
BUT - if Ky or any of the Cookout get into DX's ear, they can persuade him to throw this veto.
What a sad turn of events.
The silver lining? SB is the target next week. LMAO. Alyssa is the Victoria that Ky or X will bring to the finale. Wow. Didn't see that one.

DX is not playing Veto. He is a goner.

Love you DX, hope you come back for an AllStar season!

Maybe DX will get the "switch OTB" in High Rollers? I don't know what the HR rules are for this perk, but IF he can switch someone out, but still get put up, then winning HR wouldn't do anything to save him. :(

Petals...Id like to see a double eviction to shake up the hamsters and watch them scurry around with out being able to ask Ky what to do. I know I dont want Alyssa to be F2.

Hannah snuck into the HOH room and read SB's letter from home - the part that SB didn't want to read out loud.
WOW.

Nosy little Hannah... reading someone else's letter without permission. Turns out the part Sarah Beth didn't read didn't contain anything "personal." Kind of funny that Hannah ended up disappointed. Can't help being a little disappointed in DX because he watched the HOH camera while Hannah did the deed.

same Sharon. He is so naive, trusting Hannah.

So if DX can't win, I am rooting for X. It must be "The X Factor" for me, LOL

Petals, I kind of agree. Not enough credit is being given to Xavier for the game he's playing. So far, he's WAY under everyone's radar, including the rest of the Cookout. It also sounds like he's been throwing comps (so far) because he hasn't felt threatened.

And he's kept the Cookout collected; when the chicks start to flip-out, he calms them down.
He had a mission from Day 1. Gotta give it up to him for achieving it.

The only way DX will be safe this week... if whoever wins POV doesn't doesn't use it.
I don't see that happening though.

I have a post up on the veto winner.

DX told Tiffany & Claire that Production asked him three times if she was sure he didn't wanna play the roulette.
They tried. We tried. He will be leaving with $200 of BB Coin that he should've used.

He & Brit will have fun in Jury...they're both good kids.
