BB25: Power of Veto Winner Bulletin - Aug. 5

And ... we finally have a winner after a really long, long live feeds block!

We did see cute adoptable pets

HISAM WON THE POWER OF VETO!

He set the veto necklace on a dresser. If he puts it on I will get a screen cap for you here and update.

He told Cory he didn't know what to do with it as he set it down. Cory told him to wear it ... but he's not. He said he feels bad because someone cried. I'm guessing that would be Kirsten but that's just my guess.

I haven't seen a huge amount of the feeds, but from Jackie's posts I get the idea that we have an interesting season ahead mostly because of Cirie?

She's like six moves ahead of everyone else and yet isn't putting a target on her back. I didn't see her on Survivor, so this is my first exposure to her, she appears to bring a lot of insight and strategy that even the super fans cannot manage.

Interesting cast, I appreciate the diversity, and I can't recall when last a woman won the first HOH so that's a refreshing start.

Lili - Reilly mentioned that she can't remember a woman winning the first HOH. I believe there may have been one, but I'm going have to look it up. As for Cirie, she's one of those "best players who never won the game." If I had to translate her gameplay to BB terms, she has a "mist" similar to Dan Gheesling. Here gameplay is that she is super observant, gets trusted by most, gets to be friend and confidant, then pushes for who she wants out. She is in no way a comp beast, more like a people beast. I read that she actually wanted to be cast on BB before she got on Survivor. I like the diversity as well. Although, 100 years ago there would be issues putting a Sikh Punjabi in with a Muslim -- Jag/Hisam. But neither of them seem overly religious and the old day religious wars aren't them. Overall, Cirie isn't the ONLY good game player in the house although she might be the best one.

Lili - Oops, a quick search came up with three women who won first HOH, there may be more. Lisa Donahue (BB3), Rachel Reilly (BB13), Nicole Franzel (BB18).

Thank you Jackie, good info on the women who have won the first HOH, because I assumed there were some but couldn't recall. Looks like it's a pretty rare phenomenon tho, four in 25 seasons, but I'm happy to see it this season. Because usually it's a young fit white male, who immediately pulls in all those like him, and then they tend to dominate.

In seasons past, individuals who are most not like the others.....age, size, etc, get targeted week one, with the ubiquitous excuse....oh nothing personal, you just never talked game to me, so you're on the block, have a nice day.

When I saw the cast I was worried Felicia was immediately at risk, very glad to see her safe. Glad to see an astute player like Cirie. I always appreciate HGs with well thought out strategies. Of course my fav is always a player who is very strategic AND a comp beast....like Janelle.
