Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Monday Daytime - Aug. 27

Aw, I hate to see Britney sad

I can't say I'm thrilled at how all of it went down. But, I'll admit ... it's what makes watching the live feeds all worthwhile. Not a once last season did we have live feeds as interesting and addicting as they have been for the past week. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Devious Dan:
  • It's no secret that I really enjoy Britney in the game and had hoped she'd make it to the end.
  • But, in the end, it's a game. I'm not personally involved. It really doesn't matter to me who wins or loses. It's not like I'm in the running for the half million.
  • What Dan did was underhanded.
  • But that's how to play the game. It was a shrewd move for him and it saved him this week, if not longer.
  • Okay ... to the news of the day ...
  • Dan got up early for the first time this season. He sat outside and addressed the live feed watchers.
  • He told us why he did what he did and how he was worried that Jenn wouldn't take him down with her veto.
  • He said if it didn't work, he'd accept the fact that he'd be walking out the door on Thursday.
  • He really wants to WIN the game (again).
  • He also said he'd remain true to Jenn, Frank and Shane.
  • I reserve judgment on that. He'll do what's best for himself.
  • Nothing much happened once the others woke up.
  • Oh.
  • Except that Danielle thinks she has shingles.
  • She's got something, for sure. It's not shingles, though. I've had them. They concentrate along the nerves generally on one half of the body or around the eyes. She has what looks like hives on both sides of her neck. The "I'm not a doctor, don't even play one on TV" in me says that it's probably hives from being so super stressed yesterday. Either that or she ate something to which she's slightly allergic.
  • Later Shane and Britney also thought it was stress related or she might have an allergy to the paint used in the veto comp.
  • As an afterthought, Dan told Frank about the Headhunter Alliance with Joe, saying he wanted full disclosure.
  • As expected, Frank wasn't overly surprised.
  • Joe always floated back and forth to the power.
  • Then the PoV meeting came down, blocked to the feeds.
  • It went down. Dan's Kool-Aid worked. Jenn saved Dan and Frank put Britney in his place.
  • Wah.
  • After the meeting, Ian tried to suck up to Frank (not knowing Dan outed his Secret Squirrel doings) and tell him he'd work with him until the end.
  • It turned into a screaming match.
  • Oh well. Ian got a bit too big for his britches there.
  • Frank had given Shane a heads up before the meeting as to what would happen.
  • After his fight with Frank, Ian grabbed all of his own HoH beers out of the HoH refrigerator.
  • And proceeded to start drinking early.
  • Frank told Britney she's the target.
  • Britney has cried on and off since the meeting.
  • :-(
  • Danielle has cried and she's not the target.
  • But, it is all about her. It always is.
  • Ian continued to lie to Frank about being Secret Squirrel which made Frank angrier with him.
  • Ian kept saying he had panicked with everybody pulling him in different directions.
  • He'd be better to 'fess up.
  • Joe told Shane that Frank told him that Ian was the rat.
  • So now Joe knows that the Headhunters was just a silly thing.
  • At times, Britney seems at peace with going home.
  • She told Jenn that Dan told her he felt most comfortable in the house when he's hated.
  • He actually said that to us live feeders just this morning, too.
  • Britney is outing all of Dan's gameplay, but not blaming Frank or Jenn.
  • She says it's just a game.
  • But Dan will not get her vote if he makes it to the end.
  • She did a bit which I SO hope makes the show ... it had me in giggles. She put on a "nice" voice being Dan, then turned into the wicked witch as Dan changed persona --
  • "Thanks Britney for cleaning the Have Not room for me" - Nice Dan
  • "Tomorrow I kill you." - Evil Dan
  • She gave a good ten examples and I was sitting here giggling. She has such a quick wit. I'm going to miss that in the house.
  • Frank, like Ian, has been early drinking.
  • Both are a bit buzzed.
  • Frank actually went after Britney to get back at Ian. He couldn't go for Ian as he had the veto ball.
  • The other outright humorous moment today was the BB piped through the house/yard voice that tells them to go to the Diary Room, get new batteries for their mics, etc.
  • This was a new one -- "Ian, are you wearing someone ELSE'S microphone?"
  • Um. I guess they're labeled?

Dan explained everything to the feeders this morning

Then she turned a bad situation into comedy gold

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Power of Veto Meeting Results - Aug. 27

As expected, Ian did not use his veto. As expected (see recent reports), Jenn saved Dan with hers and Frank put Britney up in his place.

Dan is definitely the Man with a Plan.

A full report on the day will be posted later this evening,

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Report Sunday Night into Monday - Aug. 26-27

Danielle cries some more

What a night! If you haven't read what came down in the evening, first read this, then read this. Then come right back here and read THIS! So ... what's been happening inside that Big Brother House of Dan Dan the Man with a Plan? Read on.
  • Of course, like anything in this house, this latest is subject to change.
  • After talking to Frank, Dan went back to Danielle and explained things blow by blow as per his Frank talk.
  • He told her he had to say be mean for full effect earlier.
  • He admitted to her that he ratted out Ian and threw Britney under the bus to further their game.
  • He didn't tell her that he really doesn't trust her like he trusted Memphis.
  • He told Frank that, though.
  • Ian, Jenn and Joe meanwhile were hating on Dan for what he said to Danielle.
  • Oh! I forgot ... when I talked about what he said to her, I didn't mention what he said to Shane.
  • He told Shane he'd find a nice girl in Vermont.
  • Heh.
  • That was yet another part of Danielle's freaking out.
  • After Dan left HoH and went to talk to Danielle, the army (Jenn, Joe, Ian) all went to HoH.
  • Frank lied to them about his meeting with Dan.
  • Frank had bought everything Dan was selling, hook, line and sinker.
  • Dan and Danielle are going to go with the story that he apologized to her (citing his mental stress from solitary), but she's still mad at him and the relationship is forever damaged.
  • She bought everything Dan is saying -- hook, line and sinker.
  • Especially the sinker, I think!
  • Frank talked to Jenn alone, telling her Dan's proposal.
  • No, Dan didn't ask him to marry him. He just wants him to drink the Kool-Aid.
  • And, isn't that beverage mighty tasty?
  • Jenn agreed to use the veto to save Dan.
  • Then Frank will put Britney up and they will vote her out.
  • Next should be Ian.
  • My two favorites gone before I wanted ... but I've had a sip of Dan's Kool-Aid myself.
  • It's why he's a master.
  • And, if he pulls this off and gets to the final two, I daresay he can sit up there with Dr. Will.
  • Joe ... remember Joe? ... was all upset when Dan was in his big talk with Frank. He was worried that Dan was outing him and the Headhunters.
  • Bwahahaha! Like that was any kind of alliance! Dan never even brought that up! It was the QUACK PACK and Ian that was the big rat out to Frank!
  • Britney, not invited to sip Dan's Kool-Aid, is feeling all kinds of sorry for him and his apparent mental breakdown.
  • Sigh ... little does she know.
  • The PoV meeting should be later today. Ian won't use his golden veto ball, Jenn should save Dan.
  • Then Frank will put Britney on the block and she'll be the target.
  • Sigh. I have been enjoying Britney this season.
  • But it is great gameplay on Dan's part.

Dan, the man with a plan, might have saved himself

Yes, Jenn is still in the house

Secret Squirrel has been outed and he doesn't know it

Jenn will use the veto to save Dan

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Special Bulletin: Dan's Funeral at the Game - Aug. 26

What did I do?

Now we know Dan's Plan. He asked for a house meeting after they ate dinner. He said it was his funeral as a gameplayer and that he just wanted to enjoy his last few days in the house. He said he wouldn't have time to address everyone Thursday, so wants to do it tonight.

Oh my.

He went through each houseguest, saying great things about them. He saved Danielle for last. Everyone was teary. Danielle looked with anticipation ...

He said he was looking for someone to have his back like Memphis. She's no Memphis. She's dead to him in the game.

Oh my.

He told Frank he wanted to discuss something privately with him. Danielle is a quivering crying fool right now. Jenn thinks Dan planned it all to hurt Danielle's game.

In the HoH room, Dan is explaining that Ian was in with them. He told him how tight Ian and Britney are. He's obviously working on Frank to get Danielle out and stay. Then get Ian out. If he can turn Frank his way ... which might be possible now that he knows the Ian connection and he might just stay. Apparently what she did was throw the veto comp.

He's telling Frank they would make a good final two.

Hey, Dan may still have the magic in him.

Eek! Now their plan is to have Jenn use the veto, get Britney out and for Dan to explain/apologize to Danielle.

NOOOO!!! Get Danielle out, I beg of you!

Now Dan is telling Danielle it was all a scheme to get them both (Danielle and him) to the finals.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Into Sunday Evening - Aug. 26

He thinks he's a cool carrot, eh?

What's been happening today inside that Big Brother House of Carrots and Captives? Read on ...
  • Frank had to continue taking chum baths whenever the signal blew. He lost most of his audience as they headed to bed.
  • Dan was still bombarded with techno music and flashing lights in his solitary confinement.
  • He seemed to actually sleep now and then.
  • Frank thinks his only chance to win in a final two is with Shane.
  • His "perfect" final five is himself, Shane, Danielle, Joe and Jenn.
  • He wants Ian out next.
  • Oh noes!
  • Meanwhile, Dan kept ignoring people at his door.
  • Jenn and Ian told each other they wouldn't use their vetos to save Dan.
  • In the Have Not room Dan told us he's not a quitter and plans to take them out one by one.
  • Um. Okay. I'm not really seeing a way out here for Dan. But, let him go for it.
  • After a round of trivia, the feeds returned to Dan released and Britney and Danielle unshackled.
  • They're on indoor lockdown (extended) due to music which can be heard in the yard.
  • What's Dan the Man's plan?
  • Play psycho. He mumbled, said his head was wrong, laid down with a washcloth over his face.
  • Meanwhile, he went into the storage room, smiled at the cameras, gestured that he's fine and gave us a thumbs up.
  • From under the washcloth on his face, he grinned and winked at us.
  • But he's playing it all up well -- seeing spots, having to go to the Diary Room, possibly seeking professional help.
  • I'm really not sure what this will do for the vote, if anything.
  • Danielle thinks it's all her fault.
  • It is always all about her, y'know.
  • Everybody said the Have Not room smelled of vomit.
  • Dan said he doesn't remember vomiting.
  • I don't remember seeing him sick. But, then again, I couldn't watch long when he was in there because the music drove me crazy.
  • Everybody is worried about Dan.
  • But I still don't see where the act is going to better his chances of staying Thursday.
  • Frank is upset because once the yard opens up, the chum baths will play out as planned.
  • Joe made slop cookies for Jenn and Dan.
  • I don't think the veto will be used (either one) tomorrow.
  • But nothing is written in stone.

Dan suffering

Dan released and smiling at us

Dan winking at us

Big Brother 14: Second HoH, Nominations and More Show Blog Party - Aug. 26

BB12 Blogo 3

In the amazing news front ... the show is starting on time here in the NYC viewing area! Woohoo! As it airs, I'll update this post with the major events. So, please refresh the page to see the latest.

However, the real fun (as always) is in the comments area. Come watch the show with us and join the party!

Finally, the recap is done at 8:12pm. Sure, a bit of new footage -- the last minute scheming before the second nominations, Frank blowing up afterwards. But, sheesh.

The HoH game, "Pull Some Strings." It's the upright board with ball holes using strings to raise balls. Dan out first. Jenn out. Britney out. Danielle out. Joe out. Shane out. Frank beat them all in individual rounds. He won HoH.

The new HoH gets to choose one person to be a Have Not. He chose Dan ... someone who's never been on slop in any season.

Frank finds Pandora's Box in the HoH room. He can win up to ten grand. He gets to choose three $ cubes. 1.05, 7.11 and then 3333.33. Now he's trapped while the others go wild. They get a clue that a second veto is somewhere. They need to find 50 cents (to play the game in the arcade room). Dan is bullying and lying through the comp. Oh my. Ian got the golden veto ball.

Britney thinks if he puts up Dan and Danielle up and one of the Quack Pack wins the second veto, they can take them both down. She told Ian if he uses the veto, Frank will put her up instead. She doesn't want to go on the block.

Nominations key order -- Jenn, Ian, Joe, Britney, Shane. Dan and Danielle on the block.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Overnight Into Sunday - Aug. 25-26

It looks like Dan's days are numbered

It's crunch time for the hamsters. They know it. Yesterday's reward/punishment comp results are in full bloom. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of You Wanted to be a Hamster:
  • Previously on Jackie's TV Blog ...
  • Jenn won PoV, but has to be on slop for the remainder of her time in the house. She also had to burn the skirt she's been wearing all season.
  • Frank got disqualified (thus allowing Jenn to win), supposedly for some sort of cheating. He said he was sorry and shouldn't have said anything to her. (?) He has to wear a carrot costume for a week and take chum baths at BB request for 24 hours. He also can't compete for HoH this week or next. This week as he's outgoing, next week due to the comp.
  • Britney has to be shackled to Danielle for 24 hours. She could choose the hamster and they're leg shackles with perhaps three feet between them.
  • Danielle got "painted" and, of course, is shackled to Britney.
  • Dan is in solitary confinement with industrial/techno disco beats and music pumping. He has cake, matzo and water. The music stops now and again, but the disco lights keep going.
  • Shane apparently did absolutely nothing in the comp. He has no punishments, he won no veto.
  • There. That's your recap. Onto the newest happenings ...
  • In between music blasts and through the door, Dan apologized to Britney for letting her down in the comp. Danielle thinks he's mad at her. Huh. He didn't even respond to her, so maybe he is.
  • He also said the Diary Room called him "emotional." That's not like Dan.
  • Loud, animated, perhaps. Emotional, rarely if ever.
  • The ONLY reward in the comp was the veto. No prizes for anyone. It worked on a point system for what they agreed to do.
  • Frank told Danielle and Britney that Jenn won't be using the veto.
  • He also told them he wants Joe and Dan out.
  • Meanwhile, both Joe and Jenn are not surprisingly floating to Frank.
  • Whichever way the wind blows for those two, eh?
  • Through the door, Dan told Joe that he was okay with how things went down. He didn't think Frank should have been disqualified and wouldn't have felt right winning it that way.
  • Joe told Frank he has his support through his two weeks of no HoH comp playing.
  • Frank and Joe had a long talk about Ian. Frank is already pondering "when to cut him loose" and Joe likes Ian just about as much as Ian likes Joe.
  • One thing which bothers me when Frank talks game with others -- he always projects himself as the winner. Others just talk final two and don't go there.
  • He says that no one should be able to win against him in the final two.
  • Joe encouraged that and said he'd be happy with the 50 grand.
  • Joe confronted Ian about all the "cuss words" he said on the live show.
  • Now, that's the pot calling the kettle black.
  • The only ones WITHOUT potty mouths in the house are Britney, Danielle, Dan and Shane. I'm talking current hamsters.
  • Frank and Ian, it's about every other word.
  • Not cool, I say. I realize it's a habit, but they need to drop that bad habit like a hot potato.
  • Speaking of speech patterns, it annoys me every time Frank calls another guy "son." He called Boogie that and Boogie is older than him. I find it condescending. You might call a small boy son, but not your co-workers or fellow hamsters. Knock it off, Frank.
  • There's no time pattern I can discern with Frank's chum baths, unlike Brendon's hourly ones last year.
  • This year the chum is red smelly goop.
  • Joe's been hoarding his beers thinking he could use them as a bribe to stay off the block or for a vote.
  • He was the one who wanted to trade his vote to JoJo for cigarettes.
  • Dan started ignoring people at the door. I feel sad for him.
  • Ian needs to calm his ego down, go back to rocking on the hammock. He's attracting too much gaming attention.
  • Frank thinks that once Dan is gone, the target will be off him.
  • Um. No. Everyone will want him out because if he does make it to the final two after the game he's been through, he'd probably unanimously win.
  • At one point, Britney and Danielle were unshackled at the table. Danielle said something about having to go back to the Diary Room to be reshackled before the live feeders blow up.
  • Hmm.
  • Joe seems to think he's getting buff. Yet he doesn't work out with the boys.
  • Nor does Ian, per se. He walks with the girls.
  • Britney told Danielle she doesn't think Frank could win in the final two.
  • True, if they're not voting for who played the game best, he couldn't.
  • Although I'm not really a Frank fan, I'd say if he made it to the final two, he'd deserve to win. The guy has really been up against all kinds of odds and beat them all.
  • But if BB had not interfered and let him stay when he was voted out the week of the coaches into the game, he wouldn't be here today.
  • Aha, now Britney is agreeing with me -- he'd be the most deserving.
  • I feel redeemed.
  • Joe thinks he's safe this week. I'm not as sure about that as he is.
  • Joe told Frank he's worried about Ian winning another HoH. "The boy's got Hitler in him. The boy's got the devil in him."
  • Frank went through nearly five hours without the chum signal. But then it got fairly rapid.
  • He begged BB to let him rest an hour without it going off.
  • He should have slept during the first rest, eh?
  • Unbelievably, Dan looks like he's actually sleeping with that music and the lights.
  • Not well, but at least napping.
  • There ya go ...

Shackle Mates

In many primate species, grooming is done for fleas

Time for a chum bath!

Yes, Jenn is still in the house

The comp turned Danielle into a cute little doggie

Cruel and unusual punishment, for sure!

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 26, 2012

Good Sunday morning to you! Since it's Sunday morning, it's time for my weekly off television topic reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken. If you're looking for the latest on Big Brother, you can see all of those posts using this link. I'll be writing up the overnight events soon. If you want to stick around, feel free to do so. If you're not interested, I totally understand.

The weather has been what summer should be instead of tropical. But we really can't forget (in this area) that we're coming up on the anniversary of the Hurricane Irene hit. Last year I was recovering from my knee surgery and, other than being without power for a few days, the hurricane didn't personally affect me so much after the waters on my street receded. I hope this hurricane season goes easy on everyone.

A side thought -- who was the genius who planned the Republican Convention in Florida at what's usually the height of the hurricane season? Duh!

Although we've had little rain this past week, the mosquitos are out and about. I haven't been bit by one for a good ten years locally (in the Outer Banks last year, I was their daily meal), then a bite on the wrist a few weeks back. Now, in one evening, I have a bite below the elbow and one on my butt. Yes, you read that right! I seem to be having really bad reactions to the bites as far as inflammation and swelling go. Not cool. It's like I have a second elbow! And ...

"Does this mosquito bite make my butt look big?"

Couple that with the fact that I saw a dead bird on the sidewalk by the Union County College Campus, I'm leery of the mosquitos. Supposedly, dead birds can be indicative of West Nile Virus. This bird didn't look like it suffered any trauma from an automobile or hawk. I was on my way to the train station and hope that, since it's a college, they had it tested. Since there has been nothing in the news, I'm guessing they just threw it away or did have it tested and it tested negative. No, I'm not feeling ill. I'm fine. I just have a second elbow on my right arm and a big butt.

Other than that, it's been life as usual -- work, BB live feeds reports, sleep very little, eat (probably more than I should), rinse and repeat. For some reason, most of my photos are bugs this week. They gave me the best fodder. I met two different butterflies in the same spot two days in a row, thus I have two butterfly series in this post.

Eastern Swallowtail 2
Eastern Swallowtail

I met this male Eastern Swallowtail butterfly yesterday on my way to work. I know it's a male as it has very little blue on the wings. Yes, I Googled them. Bridgewater, NJ.

Monarch Butterfly 2

The day before (Friday), I met a Monarch butterfly in just about the same spot on the same bush.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds PoV Bulletin - Aug. 25

Frank is a carrot

The feeds finally came back after the PoV comp block. It was the reward/punishment comp.
  • Frank is a carrot.
  • Dan has to be in solitary for 24 hours in the Have Not room
  • Britney and Danielle have to be shackled together for 24 hours.
  • Dan's Have Not has an electronic "solitary" techno music thing pumping a beat, industrial techno music and disco lights.
  • He's not allowed to talk to anyone ... but us and BB. He has cake. He has a portable toilet.
  • He told himself (and us) he has 24 hours to figure out how he's going to spin this (stay).
  • OMG.
  • JENN won the Power of Veto.
  • :::fainting:::
  • Jenn says she will NOT be using the veto.
  • Frank won't play in the next two HoH comps (first one because he's HoH, second due to the comp).
  • Jenn is on slop for the rest of her time in the house.
  • Frank also had to take chum baths.
  • Frank was disqualified (cheating?), so Jenn won.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Friday Evening/Saturday Dawn - Aug. 24-25

Eek! She sleeps in those eyes!

As he said earlier in the evening, Frank nominated Dan and Danielle for eviction this week. Not a surprise at all, I must say. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Dysfunctional Decadence:
  • Dan is worried that Joe and Jenn might have picked up on what he said to Ian during the Pandora's Box comp (re: ratting him out).
  • He's also regretting acting out badly, unlike himself.
  • Britney noticed that Ian's barely talked to Dan since the comp, if at all.
  • They kept encountering messes they made while ripping the house apart looking for quarters for the ball machine.
  • Frank told Britney he could work with her and Shane, maybe Danielle.
  • Oh, please. Not Danielle.
  • Ian and Dan did end up talking.
  • Ian told Dan he didn't want to use his Veto ball to save anyone as Frank would put Britney up.
  • Ian is definitely the most loyal with Britney.
  • Ian told him he doesn't want to rock the boat more.
  • Yeah, Ian's been rocking the boat and vote for weeks now. He probably could use a break.
  • Britney tried to point out to Frank how "schemy" Joe has been and how he can't be trusted.
  • Frank still thinks Dan tried to take his "dream" (winning the show) away from him.
  • Yeah, like no one in that house has that same dream.
  • Perhaps many were recruits and not show fans to begin with, but now that they're in the %#$ deep, they ALL have the "dream."
  • I bet no one has the "dream" any more than Ian who's faithfully watched the show since he was ten years old.
  • What's a ten year old doing watching this show?
  • Never mind, I digress.
  • Dan had a talk with Frank, pre-nom. He told him he understood totally that Frank will probably put him on the block. But, if he survives the week, no hard feelings -- he won't go after Frank.
  • As a matter of fact, if he survives, he'd like to work with him and no one would suspect a thing if they kept up the enemies act.
  • Dan is good. He knows he won't be able to talk Frank out of nominating him. But he's preparing for survival if he makes it through next Thursday, covering his bases.
  • Britney told Frank she doesn't want to make any long term (final two) deals until she sees how the week pans out.
  • Frank thinks Ian trusts Britney more than he trusts him.
  • Ian does.
  • That worries Frank.
  • It should.
  • Dan thinks that the Diary Room has been hinting to Ian that he shouldn't use the veto ball.
  • Perhaps. But we also know that Frank threatened to put Britney on the block if Ian uses it.
  • Britney is Ian's strongest ally in the game.
  • Ian told both Britney and Dan the DR tried to talk him out of using the ball.
  • Made up or fact? We really don't know, I guess.
  • Jenn told Dan that she wants Danielle to stay.
  • Sigh.
  • Dan hasn't tried much to work his social game on Jenn. Now it's coming back to bite him.
  • Britney complained that they never get any new choices in their groceries, same old stuff every week.
  • Oh, too bad. I look at her put away the junk food and wished I could remain under 100 pounds with that appetite.
  • Frank just about passed out in the HoH room. He's had a rough week, y'know. BB even let him ignore/sleep through Diary Room calls and skipped to the next hamster.
  • Ian told the Quack Pack that the Diary Room wants him and Frank to work together.
  • Fact or fiction?
  • It could be an Ian lie to cover working with Frank or appearing to do so.
  • Or it could be real interference.
  • Either way, we got the fish cam.
  • Ian told Britney that Frank is entertaining the thought of putting up Joe or Jenn if Dan wins veto -- thus showing a good faith gesture.
  • Ian and Britney don't think it would be horrible if Dan does go this week as it would allow the Quack Pack to work more with Frank without the huge Dan Target focused on them.
  • Kind of like the witch cackling, "I'll get you and your little doggie, too." -- Frank wants Dan out and focuses his target on the group to hurt Dan if he doesn't get him.
  • Joe told Britney he thinks Frank is going to backdoor Shane.
  • Um. Okay, Joe.
  • Shane and Danielle talked, decided they want Dan out, then put Ian and Joe on the block if one of them got HoH.
  • Oh my.
  • Danielle thinks that if Britney lasts until the end, she'll win because she has good personal relationships with everyone.
  • It's called a good social game.
  • Not that it helped Britney win in her own season, but ...!
  • Britney told Danielle she has a deal with Frank to keep her (Britney) and Shane safe.
  • Danielle ran and told Dan.
  • Dan and Danielle agreed they need to get Shane and Britney out.
  • Will it go 'round in circles?
  • Dan said that if he doesn't win PoV, he's out this week.
  • I'd prefer Danielle go.
  • Please!
  • They think the PoV comp might be rewards/punishment.
  • In the wee hours, Jenn was up to some sort of strategical doings, using the balls from the Pandora's Box and studying the Memory Wall.
  • "It will be a bloodbath and no one will know what hit them," she murmured before settling in to sleep.
  • Hmm.

Duh. I'm still here. I can win comps!

Big Brother 14: Friday Live Feeds Quick Update - Aug. 24

He has a ball

Okay, the feeds were blocked too long to be early nominations. Instead, it was Pandora's Box.
  • Dan yelled at Ian or threatened to "rat his ass out."
  • Britney and Frank said Dan was only interested in himself.
  • They searched for quarters for the machine (with the ? cube) in the arcade room.
  • Ian has a ball which says VETO and will not be eligible to play in the veto comp tomorrow.
  • Frank got $3,000.
  • Frank says he's going to put Dan and Danielle on the block and, if Ian saves one with the veto, Britney goes up.
  • Ian said he won't use it.
  • Dan is embarrassed because, as he told Danielle, he's never acted like that.
  • Ian is upset because he's been such a liar and deceitful for 48 hours.
  • Nominations should be later.
  • Jenn and Joe seem to be floating through this one.
  • Danielle can go home.
  • That's okay with me.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Report, New HoH - Aug. 24

Will it go 'round in circles?

What comes around, goes around. It's enough to get one dizzy this season! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Deja Vu All Over Again:
  • Yes, of course. Frank won the Head of Household.
  • Oh my. This throws a wrench into the works.
  • Frank told Joe he wouldn't put him up.
  • Memories can be really short in this house of hamsters.
  • Knowing that Ian is back in with Frank, Britney told Ian he needs to try to keep her off the block.
  • "Get him to put Dan up and we have the votes to save him."
  • Britney also said that Ian should go along with the "Dan in his ear" bit.
  • She's also thankful that she's been planting seeds with Frank for some time.
  • Britney and Ian vow to have each other's backs.
  • Oh, yeah. Thursday was Britney's birthday. They made a cake.
  • Britney and Dan talked about him probably going up and whether they'd have the votes to save him.
  • Dan is the only Have Not. Frank had to pick one person.
  • Dan volunteered because he's managed not to be one so far.
  • Dan was very matter of fact over the PoV -- "We had our chance for the veto, six against one, and didn't get it done."
  • Dan is sure he will be nominated and thinks his best chance is to go up with Joe.
  • Joe is inept. He most likely wouldn't win veto.
  • Plus, against Joe, Dan would have the votes to stay.
  • Thus, Frank's plan would go awry.
  • Frank is still on the All Dan's Doing kick.
  • Despite Ian's actions.
  • Ian got a letter from his mother in his HoH basket. The basket is all he has of his short reign.
  • Dan told Joe that he hopes Ian goes on the block with him.
  • But we know otherwise.
  • Dan told Ian he won't sell him out.
  • That's a bit of a moot point now, I think.
  • Joe told Britney and Danielle that Frank told him he's safe if he has his vote (Frank's way) ... otherwise he's up on the block with Dan.
  • Danielle, as always thinking it's all about her, is sure she will be put on the block with Dan.
  • Frank and Britney talked. He has to trust someone ... he seems to be going for Ian and Britney in his corner.
  • He might be able to trust Joe, but Joe has no game.
  • Nah, wait. He can't trust Joe anyway.
  • He's really grasping at straws. No one in the house is really an ally.
  • Frank says he doesn't like Dan's game because he always has someone else do his dirty work.
  • I quietly look at Britney and whistle.
  • Shh.
  • Don't let Frank realize it.
  • Nominations will be later (much later) today.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Quickie Thursday Post-Show - Aug. 23

Judas kiss

Just a quick report as I think the feeds will be cut again for the HoH comp.
  • The HoH comp should be that game (or a variation thereof) they were practicing last night.
  • Frank calmed down.
  • Secret Squirrel is at it again.
  • Frank asked him to work with him. Ian told him they could rule the house.
  • They hugged.
  • Then Ian ran and told Britney. Not that he told him that he'd work exclusively with Frank, of course.
  • But the big news is that all, including Frank, are getting along.
  • Well, Danielle is crying her heart out to Dan.
  • She should have won HoH, y'know!
  • She said Frank said mean things to her.
  • Heck, Ian was almost trembling in fear of being punched out. That's worse.
  • Then Frank said he knew it was all Dan influencing him.
  • Ian agreed.
  • It's better than being punched out.
  • Now Danielle and Britney are talking about letting the guys take each other out and going to the end.
  • Shane came in. Britney wants Shane and Danielle to throw the comp to her. She would nominate Joe and Dan, backdoor Frank if they can. If not, Joe goes home.

Don't worry, Britney's husband!

Big Brother 14: Live Double Eviction Show Blog Party - Aug. 23

BB12 Blogo 3

Are ya ready, hamster watchers? Tonight's whirlwind two weeks done up in an hour will probably be THE BEST episode this season! As it airs here in the NYC area, I'll post major updates in this entry. So, refresh the blog to see the latest.

However ... as always (and perhaps even more so this evening), the real fun is in the comments area. Bring beverages, snacks, male strippers, and we'll provide the company. Come watch with us and talk about the big happenings!

Julie announced the double eviction (although the hamsters already guessed it would be) -- the second evictee will go to jury. Boogie works on Joe's vote in his speech.

The live votes to evict:

Ashley - Jenn
Britney - Boogie
Joe - Boogie
Frank - Jenn
Dan - Boogie
Ian - Boogie
Danielle - Boogie

Da BOOGIE is OUT OF THE HOUSE! Woohoo!

He went out with class until he called Ian out to Frank. But the vote revealed that anyway.

The goodbye messages were great -- Britney put on a Chilltown phone act. But Ian's was the best ... he said he learned from the best and fessed up to all he did. Boogie laughed at both Britney's and Ian's messages, then said he loved Ian and gave him a tip of the hat.

More class than he's ever shown in his BB history.

HoH comp -- Before or After questions about events this summer. Ashley out. Joe, Jenn and Dan out. Frank out. Britney out. Tiebreaker -- Ian and Danielle.

IAN IS THE NEW HOH! (For a bit anyway.)

Ian nominates Frank and Ashley.

Shane, Danielle and Joe were picked to play veto with Frank, Ashley and Ian. "Somewhere Over the Veto" -- search for two clovers, then get veto, then buzz in. One clover at a time. Can you say CLOWN SHOE?

FRANK won power of veto!

He saved himself (duh!). Ian nominates Joe in his place.

Ashley thinks she was underestimated, says she is inarticulate (yes!) ... ramble, ramble. Joe does a golf swing and points to himself.

The vote to evict:

Jenn -- Ashley
Shane -- Ashley
Britney -- Ashley
Frank -- Joe
Danielle -- Ashley
Dan -- Ashley

Ashley is the first member of the jury.

They should have another HoH comp later tonight. It surely will be blocked to the feeds, but I will post when I know (if I'm not asleep). Worse case scenario, if the result is known by 6am ET, I'll have it posted here.

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Wednesday Night into Thursday - Aug. 22-23

Studying

What's up in that Big Brother House of Mystery and Intrigue? Okay, not so much mystery and intrigue, I guess. More like tears, desperation and backstabbing. Read on ...
  • BB gave them a practice game for a comp.
  • Every hamster had to play and their turns will scheduled and timed.
  • Oh my.
  • Ian figured it out that the game will be the second HoH comp Thursday.
  • They're sure it's a Fast Forward or Double Eviction.
  • We know they're right.
  • Of course, it could be a PoV comp game.
  • Maybe.
  • Britney thinks Ian's telling the others way too much (regarding double eviction and perhaps second HoH game).
  • Ian thinks they all could guess anyway -- too many people, too little time, everyone (including Shane HoH) must practice.
  • Britney is also upset that Ian is reluctant to put Frank on the block if he wins HoH.
  • Ian wants Joe out.
  • His reasoning is that if he puts Frank up and Frank saves himself, he's (Ian) the new target because he's a sneak.
  • Er, he's a Secret Squirrel.
  • Britney cried some more. She's really stressed plus her husband's birthday was Wednesday, hers today (Thursday).
  • Boogie only wants Frank, Ian and Ashley to walk him to the door.
  • He's now changed his speech thoughts to pointing out that Shane is dumb.
  • Well, he actually may have a point there.
  • Ashley thinks Joe is delusional.
  • Um ... what about Danielle?
  • Speaking of Danielle, she really shouldn't wear polka dot pants.
  • Boogie said again he has a soft spot for Ian.
  • Wait until he sees the Secret Squirrel stuff. If Boogie is honest, he's have to give him a tip of the hat.
  • Ian admits that backdooring Frank would be best if they can do it.
  • The Quack Pack is really studying and discussing what choices they need to make if they have the double eviction.
  • That's all she wrote.

I'm surrounded by idiots who won't drink my Kool-Aid

Get the ball to a top hole

Ian's turn, slow and steady
