Sitting through "Previously on ..."

Julie is adorned with a string of pearls and a fairly simple black dress. But first ... she says Frenchie has zeroed in on a strategy to keep his game alive. Let's hope not.

Frenchie tells us no one would vote to get Britini out. Well, um. She tells us she will remain quiet. Frenchie tells his team he won't campaign against Britini. He comes up with the idea he can propose to be a shield, a protector and help their games.

Britini and Whitney work out as Britini makes up rap songs. She tells us that she's hiding her karate skills but willing to drop bars. Meanwhile Frenchie is going around using his protector strategy with Xavier, Brent, Azah, Claire, SarahBeth. etc. The only one who said they wanted him to stay was his teammate Azah. But how will she vote?

Julie promises us once the hour is up a BB celebrity will crown a new HOH. I wonder who that could be? Will it be from the yard balcony so they don't mingle?

SarahBeth has a moment with Kyland as it was the anniversary of her father's death last year from Covid. He is great with her. She picked the right person in which to confide.

Kyland talks to the other teams to see where they stand and try to get some kind of confirmation they won't target him. Derek X asks to talk privately with him after mentioning he hoped his actions (saving him with the veto, abiding by his wishes for this past veto) spoke for themselves. Brent and Whitney did not promise safety. So, Aces is only half a team who will work with him.

It's decided the Queens and Kings will work together and Brent/Whitney are in their sights. Derek X is their ace up the sleeve according to Kyland.

Heh. Brent tries to get in with the girls but then says two girls must go home the next two evictions. Not a smart move. He's really painting that target on his back in vibrant neon colors!

Heading to the living room --
Britini - Thanks CBS, does it all in a wrap, (gotta love the effort), really nice.
Frenchie - Crazy experiences, build friendships with all, would love to stay, always be friends.

The votes to evict:
Claire - Frenchie
SarahBeth - Frenchie
Xavier - Frenchie
Derek F - Britini (as expected)
Christian - Frenchie
Whitney - Frenchie
Azah - Frenchie
Derek X - Frenchie
Tiffany - Frenchie
Brent - Frenchie
Hannah - Frenchie
Alyssa - Frenchie

To commercial but Frenchie is gone. The Celebrity BB alum is actually from Celebrity BB -- Tom Green.

Frenchie takes it well when Julie tells them it's a vote of 11 to 1 for him to go. I thought he would. Too bad he saved the class act for his exit and didn't use it during his HOH. He doesn't regret giving up the chance for two weeks of safety.

Head of Household comp time. They're in booths. "Tom talks BB" -- Tom Green, two videos, traveled around talking BB. Seven questions with a tiebreaker if needed. He's in Ottawa.

1. Derek F, Tiffany, Brent, Britini and Christian out
2. Azah out
3. All right
4. Whitney and Claire out.
5. Xavier only one right!

XAVIER IS THE NEW HOH!

I notice Drift to the Power Brent is the first to hug him.

BB23: Live Feeds into Thursday Morning - July 22

Exactly how I feel, Tiffany

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Anxious Aardvarks:

  • Frenchie keeps rotating between saying goodbyes to everyone to counting votes he has to stay on his fingers.
  • He should just keep saying goodbyes.
  • Nobody is committing to wanting to keep him in the house.
  • He seems to think they could be as no one is blatantly telling him they are voting him out.
  • So, obviously since they aren't telling him they're voting him out, they must be keeping him.
  • Right?
  • Yeah, right. Heh.
  • He's making them all kinds of promises if he stays -- he would always be a bigger target than anyone and thus extend their time in the house; he would make BIG moves as HoH.
  • Um. Yeah. Well, we know the many moves he makes at HoH. Been there, done that and don't want the t-shirt.
  • Oh ... and he made a point of reminding them that he had planned to donate his winnings to a childrens hospital.
  • @@
  • He should have Derek F's vote and POSSIBLY Azah as she is on his team. Other than them, I'm just not seeing it.
  • Brent and Whitney have still abandoned ship on him.
  • Britini also made the rounds despite being assured she will stay.
  • As a matter of fact, she made that one of her points -- she feels so uncomfortable with people telling her she will stay, especially in front of Frenchie.
  • Brent seems to be determined to steal Christian's target from him by saying a woman needs to be evicted next to cut down on their numbers ... to Hannah. @@
  • Actually, Christian is more bearable except for the Not A Showmance with Alyssa.
  • This week's eviction seems to be set in stone with the only question being whether Frenchie will have one or two votes to stay.
  • Much of the rest of the time was spent discussing possible comps and what each one would do as HoH.
  • Tiffany, Claire and Derek X have recruited Kyland into their group. Now, I think that would be a perfect final four! Let's do it!
  • Tiffany sat down and had a bit of a heart to heart talk with Frenchie, letting him know that he will not have the votes to stay. She said she thought he should know so he won't feel so let down on the live show.
  • Hmm.
  • Maybe he will just have Derek F's vote in his favor.

Britini comes across as too needy for me.

He thinks he has votes to stay. Bwahaha!

Claire should go far in the game.

Playing it rather mellow for now.

I think her game will be better sans Frenchie.

Odd bed. Odd bedfellows.

BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - July 21

Good evening! I hope all of you are well tonight and weathering the weather! Tonight is the Power of Veto comp on the show. Now, remember ... many people read the show posts but don't watch the live feeds. So, this is a NO SPOILERS zone! Please don't post events until you see them air on the show. Merci!

I'll be live blogging the major happenings and updating this entry as the show airs here on the East Coast. Please refresh the page to get the latest update! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Oh, let's open with a recap! No, not here. I'm talking on the show.

We pick up the action after nominations. Heh. Kyland tells us that Frenchie has been chaotic in the house. (You don't say!) He thinks Britini would take Frenchie off the block if she won veto. Brent and Whitney quickly abandon their ol' buddy and comrade Frenchie. Britini cries and her team surrounds her -- Frenchie, Derek F and Azah. Derek F seems more upset that two of the people on his team are up on the block, not really who they are.

Frenchie insists to Britini that he will be going home, not her. He promises her that if he wins veto, he will save her. He tells us that if he wins the veto, he'll figure a way to save both of them. Yeah, right.

Tiffany gives Kyland words of support. Tiffany so wants Frenchie out and she's proud of Kyland.

Brent, Whitney, Hannah and Derek X sit around talking the demerits of Frenchie. Frenchie tells Kyland he's not mad at him and hugs him. He says he knows he's the target. He tells him that Britini is heartbroken and if he wins veto, he will use it on her. Kyland doesn't believe him but humors him, nodding.

Kyland tells Britini that everyone in the house wanted to target Frenchie. She asks him if he will use the veto. He tells her it would serve no purpose in his own game to do so. That bothers her even more.

Heh. Brent calls Frenchie erotic when he means erratic. He is more like their usual casting. Most of this season is better quality non-dead end job types. They say it's his accent. Mind you, he is NOT from NJ. Rhode Island has an accent that's similar but not quite Massachusetts.

Britini tells Frenchie that Kyland told her everyone except her threw out his name. He knows his Slaughterhouse kin gave him up. Frenchie runs around the house calling out the Slaughterhouse with the exception of Derek F and Xavier (final two deal and thinks he could work with Xavier down the line -- AS IF he will stay!). Claire thinks the Slaughterhouse is as fake as the girls alliance French Kiss where everyone just pretended to join in on.

A funny, yet odd, Alyssa birthday bit ensues. She gets wrapped in toilet paper.

Veto player picks time -- Kyland draws Alyssa. Frenchie draws Claire. Britini draws Derek X.

The backyard is set up like a day at the beach. Fill container with suntan oil to retrieve your whistle. Must catch the oil in a container and fill the suntan oil. The oil bursts from huge different spraying bottles, running from bottle to bottle to fill up their bottle first. It's one at a time. Britini is first and seems to have clicked in on how to best do it. But was her epiphany too late? Kyland is next. Then Derek X, Claire, Alyssa and last is Frenchie.

Claire 5.33
Kyland 4.54
Britini 5.08
Derek X 4.41
Alyssa 6.57
Frenchie 5.06

DEREK X WINS VETO AGAIN!

Frenchie cries in the Diary Room to us. Oh, boo-hoo. He tells Azah he is going out and he sacrificed himself for something he's not. She knows the show has been his dream and doesn't want him to give up. Derek F also advises him not to give up. I say GIVE UP. Oh, geez ... they lit the fire under him. Just what we needed!

Frenchie goes to Kyland and Derek X to lay out his "war plan." He plays on the fact that he would go home before either of them, would be loyal to them, would never target them, etc.

Time for the veto meeting -- Derek X does NOT use the veto. Britini and Frenchie both remain on the block.

BB23: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - July 20

Definitely not a showmance!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Rowdy Rabbits:

  • Nothing has been happening today.
  • Really.
  • Lots of No Fish Cam feed blocks over nothing happening.
  • Don't ask me why.
  • Derek F is feeding into Frenchie's thoughts that there might be a chance the first four (or so) evicted might battle back into the house.
  • I doubt it as they gave Travis too much information in the interviews for him to return.
  • For some whacked-out reasons of her own, Britini thinks she needs to hold one on one campaign pleas to stay even though she has been told over and over (and over again) that Frenchie is the big target and will definitely be evicted.
  • Whitney and Brent had a kerfuffle. Without the devotion to Frenchie, they're a bit on edge with each other.
  • Kyland had a long talk with Whitney telling her that if he ever makes her feel either uncomfortable or disrespected, just let him know.
  • While I don't think Kyland is making the absolute best ally choices, he just seems like such a nice guy!
  • Even Brent was saying how well he handled his HOH. Of course, Brent took credit for it telling him not to be emotional.
  • Frenchie has not been acting out.
  • I think he will handle the eviction okay.
  • Like I said, nothing much happening.

BB23: Live Feeds into Monday Night - July 19

Not a showmance

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Whirling Dervishes:

  • I realize I didn't timely post the results of the PoV meeting after the live feeds block ended today.
  • But I thought it would go without saying that Derek X did not use the veto.
  • Britini had asked him not to save her because someone else would go up and she had been told that she is not the target.
  • Frenchie knew it was no use asking Derek X to save him.
  • So it remains Frenchie and Britini on the block heading to eviction day.
  • Hmm. Kyland and Derek F are the latest final two deal.
  • How quickly Derek F has forgotten Frenchie even before he's gone?
  • I don't know. Due to physical limitations, Derek F probably won't do well in any real physical comps, but he is very observant and has a good social game.
  • He has to have a good social game as no one is giving him any heat for his defense of Frenchie!
  • Today was the anniversary of the COVID death of SarahBeth's father. Kyland comforted her, but the pain of loss is still so fresh.
  • As usual, game talk in the yard is limited when so many are out in the yard.
  • With this group we also have nightly kitchen and living room gatherings which cut down on conspiring.
  • Kyland, for whatever reason, decided to have team talks one on ones after the veto meeting.
  • Why Ky?
  • Not needed. Your job as HOH is done. You done did well. You can relax now.
  • Frenchie has not exploded.
  • There ya go ...

What will she do without her captain?

Stop talking, Kyland. Your work is done here.

BB23: Live Feeds into Monday Morning - July 19

Enduring a Frenchie talk until Claire saves him.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Wacky Wombats:

  • As it was Sunday it was quiet on the home front -- no comps, the PoV decision pretty much known ahead of time, the yard open and Frenchie saying he accepts that he will be leaving.
  • Of course, the fact that Frenchie will be leaving is because of THEM, nothing he did.
  • He was loyal.
  • He kept his word.
  • That is the World According to Frenchie.
  • He is still saying there will probably be a twist.
  • With the exception of Derek F, who is really saddened about Frenchie's expected eviction, the others are all either enduring or humoring him just to keep the drama level down.
  • The HOH camera was out and about.
  • In the evening they once again did group skit/game activities.
  • Derek F said that he thinks they're all telling the truth about their jobs but Xavier is too smart to be a bartender, he has to be a lawyer or something.
  • SNAP! Xavier recovered from his initial shock about it and laughed it off, but ...!
  • Derek F, except for his infatuation with Frenchie, is a very observant game player.
  • Power of Veto meeting is later today -- it won't be used.
  • Then it's a long time until Thursday!

He's fitting in more and staying away from Frenchie.

Stop it, Tiffany! When you yawn I yawn!

Not a showmance. Really.

He SAYS he's accepted that he will be evicted.

Not much game talk goes on in the yard.

Not a showmance? Um, well. Right.

BB23: Wildcard Comp and Nominations Show Blog Party - July 18

Welcome, everybody! On the show we last saw Kyland win the Head of Household. Will the week be as chaotic with him at the helm as it was with Frenchie? Well, I actually don't believe that is possible. Frenchie just might be the winner of the most confusing HoH reign ever!

I know even the Power of Veto is already done on the live feeds. However, the show posts are NO SPOILER zones. Many people follow just the show posts and don't want the show spoiled. Any spoiler comments will be removed.

I'll be live blogging and regularly updating this entry with the major happenings as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest update. As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please join in on the fun!

Previously on ... yeah, there's that. We saw the shows. We know. Move along!

We pick up the action after they finish the HoH. Kyland is thrilled, of course. But now he wants to know why the vote wasn't unanimous. Alyssa also wants to know. We know -- Tiffany and Derek F. Both knew it wouldn't evict Alyssa and both did it because Frenchie asked them to do so. Tiffany did it because he kept her safe and made him swear not to tell. She already has it planned to blow him out of the water if it gets out. Derek F did it because Frenchie's his "boo."

Claire and Tiffany are beyond happy to be on the winning team and be safe with Kyland in charge. Xavier thinks it might just be a smooth week.

Frenchie meets up with Brent, Whitney and Tiffany, tells them he knows who cast the two votes but won't tell. Tiffany is irked that he even felt the need to mention it.

Tiffany warns Kyland to beware of Frenchie. He tells us it's not the first time he's been warned. Travis gave him the lowdown -- not a man of his word, breaks promises, etc.

HOH Room reveal. I like how Kyland opened the door and held for everyone. His letter brought tears to his eyes. So, Tiffany offered to read it to the room and he gratefully accepted the offer. She read it very well ... almost as if his Mom was talking to him.

But then Tiffany herself gets emotional ... or plays it for show to the others. Heh. Gotta love that girl! She sees everything Frenchie is doing and tells us he has to go home Thursday.

Wild Card time! Queens are safe due to HOH, Hannah and Christian already played so they can't play again. Frenchie wants to play in it. SarahBeth plays. Aces go for the random draw -- Brent. Kyland tells them to put on their nicest attire and get ready for a wild night out on the town.

Kyland tells Frenchie he will be asking questions, not giving out information. Frenchie tells him that if he stays, he'll always be the bigger target. He tells Kyland that he will be safe. Frenchie thinks that Kyland's demeanor is throwing up red flags. Oh, he's probably right.

Frenchie announces to Whitney that he's out (of the Slaughterhouse) in front of others who don't know he was even in it. Even Brent is saying that Frenchie is playing like a loose cannon. Whitney confronts Frenchie alone and he tells her no drama and doesn't give her the time of the day. Now she wants nothing to do with him. Frenchie talks to Brent who thinks he wants him to throw the comp and let him win. Nope. Not going to work.

The WC comp is set up as the private BB Beach Club art gallery. They are shown changing artwork and have to select a correct swatch. BB Flying Colors. The first to three points wins. First was the exclamation point in a painting. SarahBeth gets it right and gets splashed with paint. Brent got the second one right. Frenchie got the third one. SarahBeth gets a second point. SARAHBETH WINS THE WILD CARD COMP! Frenchie knows he's in trouble.

SarahBeth istold that if she wants the week of safety she has to swap with someone on Kyland's team. SarahBeth passes on the offer. She wants to stay with her own team and trusts Kyland.

Kyland talks to Tiffany who calls Brent, Whitney and Frenchie a three-headed monster in the house. She tells us she's not sure where Kyland sits with Frenchie. A brief bit with all telling him separately about Frenchie, even Brent and Whitney throwing the farmer under the tractor ... er, bus. Britini brings up duos of Whitney/Brett and Christian/Alyssa. She does not mention Frenchie.

Time for the nominations! Kyland nominates Frenchie, then Britini. He tells Frenchie that he can't trust him. Britini is loyal and he was worried that she would take Frenchie down if she won veto.

BB23: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - July 18

Told Derek X not to use the veto to save her

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Turning Tides:

  • Unless he's lying again, Frenchie has accepted the fact that he will most likely, almost positively, be the one going home this week.
  • He's walking around saying he won't mope, he wants to just have fun this last week and he doesn't want to talk game.
  • But then he'll turn around and talk game a bit.
  • But his demeanor seems to have changed.
  • Maybe he is really realizing he totally blew his whole game.
  • Er, no. He still thinks it was "them."
  • At least he told Britini that it's him not her at fault for her being on the block.
  • Britini told Derek X not to use the veto to save her as that would put someone else from her team (or a friend?) up on the block.
  • Everyone has assured her that she will stay and that they all want Frenchie out.
  • It does bother me that Britini said that if the vote isn't unanimous for Frenchie to go, she will know who wants her out.
  • GEEZ.
  • I wish unanimous votes could be forbidden! Even in the case of Frenchie. Now, as much as they want him out, it should be understood if, for example, Derek F wants to throw him a vote.
  • What is the big deal?
  • Haven't they realized after all these years that if there are a few stray votes in a house vote that someone is just messing with them?
  • Silly hamsters.
  • They got the yard.
  • Not much else is happening.
  • While it seems Frenchie is now accepting his fate, Thursday is a long time away.

Not surprising he reminds them of 'Jersey Shore'

She has BB savvy, he can win comps -- Dynamic Duo!

Funky funky Kyland (actually headgear due to POV)

Brent needs to go before Christian

Has he really accepted that he will be going home?

BB23: Live Feeds Saturday and POV - July 17

Yes, Frenchie gives me a headache, too.

This one is going to be a bit brief but lots of pretty pictures! Here's what's been happening inside that Big Brother House of Loathsome Lies:

  • Frenchie may not be HOH any longer, but now he has new lies and promises.
  • First, he just KNOWS America will save both him and Britini.
  • @@
  • He told Britini that if he wins POV, he will save her with it. He promised.
  • He said he's ready to go home.
  • He said he wants to be back with his family.
  • He said Britini should stay over him as she was on the block because of him. (That last part is true.)
  • He guilt-tripped people not Britini saying that all he was going to do with the winning money was donate it to a school anyway.
  • He said that he's done everything he wanted to do in the game anyway -- played PoV, won HOH, nominated people, been on the block, etc. Let me go home, he says.
  • Oh, wait.
  • He then decided he needs to stay until the fifth eviction.
  • After all, he can save their game.
  • "Hallelujah! Praise be The Frenchie. We are saved! We are saved! All hail our hero!" -- they cried.
  • Heh. I made up that last one.
  • I just hope that Britini isn't foolish enough to hand him the veto (if she wins it) so he can save her with it. She said she would do that. Eep.
  • If that goes down, we have a new level of ridiculousness!
  • Dan Gheesling had a mist. He misted people.
  • Frenchie has a brain fog. He brain fogs people.
  • The veto players are: Kyland, Frenchie, Britini, Alyssa, Derek X, Claire with Tiffany hosting.
  • Right now I'm waiting out the comp before posting.
DEREK X WON THE POWER OF VETO AGAIN!

Derek F worried he has no one if Frenchie goes

SarahBeth remains the only one promised safety by Kyland.

His HOH is so different and much less confusing than last week!

Thank goodness he now has Tiffany. He's still a bit lost.

Using his brain fog much as Dan used his mist.

Closing your eyes and wishing for miracles won't work.

Already gravitating to Kyland and knocking Frenchie.

Actually becoming a bit more tolerable.

That's MR. Veto to you, Frenchie!

BB23: Friday Live Feeds/Nominations - July 16

Claire seems to be in a good place

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Crumbling Catfish:

  • They played the Wildcard Comp and the winner was (drumroll please) ... SarahBeth.
  • She gave up the safety because she did not want to switch teams.
  • Frenchie got all bent out of shape about it because he apparently told her to throw it.
  • Oh, I forgot to tell you -- the Have Nots this week are Whitney, Brent, Derek X and Hannah. Whitney and Brent volunteered them without even consulting the other two.
  • So far Kyland is handling his HOH better than most we've seen.
  • Due to a time crunch, he tried to give each person a five-minute one on one meeting.
  • He asked them (or most of them) the same two questions -- What can they or do they want to tell him about what's going on in the house and who they thought did the two hinky votes.
  • They ALL threw Frenchie under that Bus of Reality.
  • Even Whitney -- Frenchie had snapped at her in front of other people that he's through with the Slaughterhouse and, obviously, that outed her as an ally.
  • Even Brent -- saying that Frenchie had handled the HOH poorly and is causing issues (even though he loves him as a person). Brent used part of his time trying to con Kyland into working with him.
  • Tiffany's talk was interesting. She told him he should keep Frenchie but get one of his two henchmen out -- either Whitney or Brent. She told him she thinks those two were the hinky votes at Frenchie's request so they could blame him (Kyland and Derek X). She says Frenchie himself is powerless without those two.
  • Remember ... Tiffany herself was one of the hinky votes at Frenchie's request.
  • When Kyland asked her if one of those three went, would working with the other two be possible? She all but snorted and said, "If you work with a snake, you know sooner or later he will bite you."
  • She suggested to him that it might be good if the Kings, Queens and Derek X worked together.
  • Then ... poof ... time for blocked live feeds, pretty kittens and the nominations ceremony.
  • I'm waiting it out now as I get this typed up.
  • And the nominations are BRITINI AND fRENCHIE!
  • Britini is almost hysterical crying.
  • Frenchie is consoling her and Derek F, telling them they both need to be calm and take it easy. He will take it, make the target on his own back big enough that he will be sure to go so they won't have to. He told Britini that if he wins the veto, he will save her. Not a real Marcellas bit as he would plan to go home. He is sure he'd get the vote.
  • Derek F seems more upset that two from their team were chosen rather than the people themselves who were chosen.

"If you evict me, you lose the whole show!"

Tiffany is one of the best ever on the show!

If he handled HOH like he is his nom, we would adore him.

Britini? Not taking it well at all.

BB23: The Unraveling of Frenchie - July 16

The one on one HOH talks are a gem

Just a brief update --

The Wildcard Comp went down and SarahBeth won. Frenchie was so mad as he told her to throw it. Bwahaha!

I'll go into more detail later, but ...

... every single person talking to Kyland in the HOH talks is throwing Frenchie under the bus, even his so-called allies Whitney and Brent.

Meanwhile Frenchie is imploding and even alienated one of his strongest allies, Whitney. Oh my.
