BB23: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - August 1

Julie is finally pronouncing Azah's name right!

Here is the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Antsy Aardvarks:

  • For those who missed the update -- Christian won the Power of Veto and is almost certainly going to keep the nominations the same ... Hannah and Whitney.
  • Whitney remains the target.
  • Hannah remains acting confused as to why she's on the block and trusting that she is indeed just a pawn to guarantee Whitney's eviction.
  • Whitney has returned to hanging all over Xavier -- applying lotion, giving massages to him and generally rubbing the dude pretty much all over.
  • Her behavior is reminding me of Christine with Cody in BB16 although a saving grace is that Whitney is at least single. But she has two children at home. Sigh.
  • However, her behavior gave Tiffany and Azah fodder for a fun-filled discussion (not fun if your name is Whitney, mind you!) and lengthy imitations.
  • No, Tiffany and Azah ... you're not being petty. If you are, then I'm petty too.
  • During their talk it seems that both Azah and Tiffany are regretting committing to the Cookout, at least a little bit. Both said they really like Derek X and Christian and don't want either to leave any time soon.
  • I say "the heck with the Cookout" and keep those you WANT to be with in the house!
  • Azah thinks that SarahBeth is acting dumb but really knows the game well. She's right, of course. Tiffany tried to steer her into getting closer to SarahBeth.
  • Meanwhile, up in the HOH room Derek X was talking with Alyssa. He thinks people are trying to get him and Christian working against each other when he would like to work with Christian.
  • Alyssa proposed yet another new alliance -- her, Christian, Derek X and Hannah.
  • Christian seems okay with it but still wants their final four with Tiffany and Claire.
  • I swear there are more alliances than there are houseguests this season!
  • They got the backyard late last night.
  • Derek F is still cantankerous about his slop.
  • Poor baby.

Has become everybody's confidant and advisor

Derek F thinks he's made friends and is now annoying people

BB23: Live Feeds Power of Veto Spoiler - July 31

Don't they look so comfy?

Well, today is the big Power of Veto comp leading into either doldrums with no comps until Thursday or a scramble for or against veto use until the veto meeting on Monday, then doldrums or campaigning.

The veto players, in addition to Christian, Hannah and Whitney are: Derek X, Claire and Azah. I don't know who drew whose name or if a houseguest choice chip was used. They block the feeds for the draw and I didn't hear them mention it.

I do know that Derek X does NOT want to win this one. If he were to win he'd be between a rock and a hard place on use. He's close with Hannah while Whitney is his team captain. They're both on his team. Plus he'd be on the outs with Christian/Alyssa and the house at large if the noms were to change. And, if Britini went up as a renom ... OY!

Derek X and Azah told each other that they plan to do whatever Christian wants if they win the veto. Yesterday Hannah told Christian she would trust that Whitney is the target and not save herself if she wins. But, although probably true, she'd be pretty foolish not to save herself. Keyword: Marcellas.

The feeds have been blocked for the comp. I'm just waiting them out so I can post the winner when they return.

CHRISTIAN WON THE POWER OF VETO

BB23: Live Feeds into Saturday Morning - July 31

Oh my. Did Audrey visit the house?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Shady Sharks:

  • Just to note -- that's Claire in the screen cap at the top here, not Audrey.
  • Just in case, y'know. I don't want rumors spreading all over the interwebs that Audrey made an appearance.
  • Hmm. Perhaps it's the GHOST of Audrey?!?!
  • For those who haven't been paying attention -- Audrey Claire won the Wild Card and has two weeks of safety which guarantees her jury at the very least and Alyssa Christian nominated Whitney and Hannah for eviction.
  • Whitney is the target.
  • Although it wasn't actually said before nominations, Hannah had a pretty good idea she would be going up as a pawn.
  • She was fully informed after the nominations and told to act sad and all.
  • Okay.
  • To her credit, she did cover her bases well with Whitney playing the "I don't know why he came up with us" card and saying it was because they were the only ones who didn't lie to him on the one to one two meetings before nominations.
  • His solo meetings with them were a hot mess indeed. "I don't know what I'm doing," he said.
  • And, he doesn't. Hopefully his parents will continue to shelter him well into his forties.
  • It looks like, if the veto is used, Britini would be the replacement nomination. Oy!
  • Hannah has been told they need the noms to remain the same.
  • Will she throw the veto comp? Will she not save herself with the veto if she wins it?
  • Hmm.
  • She was told that whatever happens, Whitney CANNOT win the veto comp.
  • Hmm.
  • Although the week is still early, Alyssa at least isn't canoodling so much with Christian and is returning to her own bed at night. She says her parents may be watching. We'll see how long that lasts. It isn't preventing the random make-out sessions under covers.
  • Derek F on slop is pretty much what we would expect.
  • He shovels down bowls of the stuff and eats olives by the jar yet complains he's still hungry.
  • Even with all the drama, the hamsters still get together for group skits, improv and games every evening.
  • Last night's Big Blue Couch show featured singing by individuals and groups ... all original songs due to copyright issues, skits and interviews. I have to give this group credit for creating their own entertainment each evening and for playing together as a group despite the inherent nastiness of playing the game of Big Brother.
  • Mind you, Alyssa and Christian chose the time to snuggle away from the masses while the Big Blue Couch Show was going down.
  • Oh my. Alyssa ended up in the HOH room last night despite her protests that she "doesn't do sexy."
  • A lot will depend on the veto comp today.
  • If Whitney per chance wins it, we can expect some excitement!

Although very present, isn't on the radar of most.

Just a pair of Dereks

Board meeting in progress

I don't want to make decisions!

I don't want to be on the block!

BB23: Live Feeds Nominations Spoiler - July 30

Nominations are in.
So, you wonder ... who did Alyssa nominate?
Oh. I meant Christian.
Sorry about that.
It's Whitney and Hannah on the block and Whitney is the major target.

BB23: Live Feeds Wild Card Spoiler - July 30

The live feeds were blocked forever and a day this morning. Okay, I exaggerate, but ...!

When they came back on, there was talk going on.

Claire was talking about being confirmed to be at least on the jury. So, she won and accepted the two weeks of safety!

BB23: Live Feeds into Friday Morning - July 30

Who wants to see my HOH room?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Crazy Cats:

  • The feeds returned after the live show to a really long wait for the HOH room to be readied.
  • The Jokers -- Derek F, Azah and Britini -- are the Have Nots for the week.
  • Too bad, so sad.
  • Heh.
  • It will give Derek F the opportunity to try new cooking skills!
  • He got all cranky anyway. Cranky to the point that Xavier told him if he didn't stop he just might be putting a target on his back.
  • After all, the plan is now one Cookout pawn and a target on the block anyway!
  • Oh, wait. Christian isn't in the Cookout. He just wears the braids when BB lets him!
  • Whitney pleaded a headache and said she wasn't feeling well.
  • She's probably worried that she might be a target as well.
  • It didn't stop her from getting all over Xavier.
  • She needs to let that man alone! Sheesh! Her kids could be watching!
  • Once the HOH room opened, Christian asked Tiffany to read his letter from his mother much like she did with Kyland's letter last week.
  • Aww.
  • Christian wants to put two women on the block -- Whitney and (most likely) Hannah.
  • I guess it's about time. Three men have gone so far. While I want the women to rock this season, I suppose we can't have a final eight of all females!
  • The Wild Card comp -- they don't know it's the last one -- could change all that.
  • At the moment, it's Christian, Xavier, Alyssa and SarahBeth (the only remaining team of four) who are safe due to Christian's win.
  • Whitney is the only Aces player who can play the Wild Card. If she wins, she just might want to take the safety no matter the consequences!
  • Christian fussed to Britini that he really doesn't want the responsibility of HOH or the "blood on his hands."
  • @@
  • Britini told him there wouldn't be a larger target because it was a team win that put him there.
  • "But it was my win. I did seven pieces of the puzzle!"
  • Oh, well. It makes no difference in the long run.
  • After all, I would bet this will actually be Alyssa's HOH anyway.
  • He plans on one on one meetings with the hamsters with his team.
  • Hmm.
  • Wouldn't that be four on ones?
  • I'll let you know who won the Wild Card when I know!

Safe for the week with bro Christian, yes!

Is he HOH or is his team HOH?

Off the block for now ...

Oh, poor Derek F ...

Will they work together? Nah, not really!

Both are safe this week due to team default.

BB23: Live Eviction and HOH Show Blog Party - July 29

Y'all ready for a third hamster down? I am! While it seems to be longer, this is just the third week. Oy! I found it much easier to get the names down with this more diverse cast. Alas, although it's more diverse and split into teams, they're still leaning towards house votes. I hate that. Hopefully it will change after tonight.

********************************

On with the show! Just a note -- I'm under a severe thunderstorm watch as well as a tornado watch here. If I vanish, it's most likely a power outage.

Oh my. Julie is sporting a tight-legged with off one shoulder grey outfit. Hmm. Let's commence thumb-twiddling until the end of the "previously on" segment.

We pick up the action with Julie telling us that all week the hamsters have been fooling Brent that he's safe. She tells us that pulling off a blindside isn't easy. Brent tells us he should stay 6 to 5.

He really thinks they're all on his side. Others are agreeing with Brent's ideas just in case. Brent is sure that Xavier will not see it coming! Brent tells Dere X and Kyland that next week it will be Xavier and Christian on the block. Of course, he also mentioned that Britini would be going home.

Brent almost catches Hannah discussing his demise with Derek X. Ohh , Derek F thinks that Xavier, who is a lawyer but lied and said he's a bartender, is a lawyer. Heh. He's right.

There is a bunch of hamsters hiding from Brent in the HOH room. Meanwhile, Brent corners Alyssa about staying. Whitney tells us that deep down she thinks Brent is a good guy and tries to give him some life/game advice.

Claire tells us she feels sorry for him but no way can they tell him about the blindside.

Julie tells us that with Brent going the focus turns to the strongest team in the house. They discuss a Kings team member going. Derek X doesn't want to take the shot (HOH) because he's in the Royal Flush alliance with them. Alyssa wants to target Whitney. Derek X is in a quandary. Tiffany thinks a duo from the Kings side needs to go, at least one of them. Derek X advises Claire and Tiffany that Whitney would take a shot.

Meanwhile the Kings know that one of them would most likely be the target. Hannah's name is brought up as well as Whitney's for nominations if they win HOH.

Julie is questioning whether the blindside is still in place or not. Hmm. That's definitely a hint.

To the living room--

Britini - Another rap starts but then she gets normal. She will be their sunshine on their darkest days, etc.

Brent - Shout-outs. Actions speak louder than words. My actions! We had fun.

The votes to evict:

Christian - Brent

Azah - Brent

Derek X - Brent

Kyland - Brent

Claire - Brent

Hannah - Brent

SarahBeth - Brent

Alyssa - Brent

Derek F - Brent

Whitney - Brent

Tiffany - Brent

It's unanimous. You can tell by his reaction that he knew it. Someone told him. He does leave the house with grace.

He tells Julie he isn't surprised because he's had a huge target on his back from the beginning and it's a game of betrayal. He's a strong personality and a physical threat. She mentions his own teammates turned on him. He says he's not shocked and Hannah must have just gone along with the herd.

INTERRUPTION ARGH STORM WATCH TORNADO AND FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS!

Due to the storm interruption, I missed the whole start of the comp. It's a puzzle. Each team is playing one at a time timed.

CHRISTIAN IS THE NEW HOH! He, Allysa and SarahBeth are safe.

Final Wild Card tomorrow. Next week is the first endurance comp of the season for HOH.

BB23: Live Feeds into Thursday Morning - July 29

Both know the game. They need to work it, though.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Gregarious Goats:

  • I don't think I've ever seen this many alliances and side alliances, not to mention duos, cross-mingling so many hamsters!
  • Yet we continue to have house votes.
  • I'm kind of hoping that since the three most agreed upon targets will be gone this week, that will stop.
  • And, though I really like most of them, I hope the Cookout develops some cracks and the promise to never nominated another will end. I don't like it that any group that large has that kind of promise going on.
  • Wait! The latest Cookout plan is to have a member and a non-member on the block.
  • Still, the vote to evict will oust the non-member.
  • Wah.
  • I like some not in the Cookout alliance and would like to see a mix in the house.
  • Claire and Tiffany are now committed to a Final Two. With the Cookout, not sure how they would swing that. I'd like to see it, though.
  • Claire thinks that Kyland or Xavier plan to target her after Whitney goes.
  • She's probably right, at least about Xavier.
  • She wants them out before jury.
  • That's gonna be a bit hard to do, methinks.
  • Brent still thinks he has the votes to stay.
  • Maybe he doesn't realize that the votes he has are actually eviction votes!
  • Tiffany and Claire are onto the fact that Kyland and SarahBeth are working together, sharing information and such.
  • With Tiffany already thinking that Kyland is getting a bit too controlling, that's not good for the group of four -- Tiff, Claire, Kyland and Derek X.
  • Derek X's name keeps getting mentioned as a possible nomination.
  • Tiffany has been careful but is working in that she thinks they can use him for a while.
  • Brent is sure he's being targeted because of his looks. Thus my caption on the screen cap I have of him.
  • So there.
  • There's a bit of talk about warning Brent before the show.
  • I hope not.

He keeps sitting in the nomination chairs.
Predictions, please?

Brent is still so sure she wants him to stay. Heh.

He's so vain he thinks this show is about him.

Tiffany is there to play the game, nothing else.

Hannah has no idea how vulnerable she is to the masses.

If Britini is a pawn again next week I just might cry!

No, not another new alliance!

BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - July 28

Good evening! While this is indeed a show post and I don't allow spoilers from the live feeds here ... I am personally going to bend that a bit. Just a teensy bit with no real spoilers.

I think we're in for an entertaining show.

There. I said it. That was my spoiler. Heh.

I'll be live blogging the show's major happenings as it airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest update! So, where's the party? Well, head on down into the comments area. You'll find it there!

We'll just sit through the "previously on" segment humming show tunes.

We pick up the action after the nomination ceremony. Xavier seriously thinks that having Britini as a pawn will convince Brent that she's the target. Well, um. Azah is upset and consoling Britini. She feels left out of her alliance (Cookout) decisions.

Xavier tries to talk to Britini. He tells us that it's the best move to make sure Brent goes. Of course, if he were to put up a Cookout member, that too would assure Brent is out. But Xavier is keeping to his promise not to nominate any of them.

Hannah tells us that she's so fed up with Brent that she's willing to take him out. (Not on a date like he would think.) Whitney wants him out.

Azah is still having issues over Britini being nominated. Derek F sympathizes but says it is what it is. Brent tells Xavier that he's not dumb, had been loyal, etc. He is not pawn material, but the target. He's right, but Xavier still tells him that Britini is the target.

Brent is sure that he has most of the house in his pocket. Yeah, right. Brent talks to Whitney, Derek X and Hannah. "Nothing about me screams pawn." They all nod but no one speaks up.

Oh, geez, Xavier breaks down in tears to Azah. She comforts him. She tells us that she understands he did what he felt best for his game. She then confronts Tiffany about her and Derek X targeting Britini in the Wild Card comp. Tiffany says it was to make sure Brent stayed on the block.

Tiffany tells Xavier about Azah confronting her. First cracks in the Cookout? Maybe. Xavier chalks it up to emotion on Azah's part.

Ah, the Not a Showmance between Alyssa and Christian. Not my favorite thing. Unlike the producers of the show, I don't care for the showmances, especially if they get to the point of soft porn on the live feeds. It's not quite to that point with these two, but ...!

Time to pick players for the Veto Comp. Xavier picks first and gets Houseguest Choice, goes for Christian. Brent draws Derek F. Britini draws Whitney. Derek tells us he would take Britini down if he wins. Whitney is more concerned that Brent stay on the block so they can send him home. Brent thinks both would save him.

The Cookout has drafted Hannah in ... to a point, at least.

SarahBeth hosts and it's time for the veto comp. Spinning and then bowling again with the participants in tutus! This time it's being done in rounds. They have to knock down the numbers not in their room numbers for each round. The winner each round chooses the match-up for the next.

Britini challenges Brent. Brent is having real problems. Even so, he eliminates Brtini.

Xavier challenges Brent. Brent is starting to get sick. He gets sick and eliminated, too.

Derek F challenges Whitney. Derek beats Whitney.

Christian challenges Derek F. Christian wins and Derek F is out.

Last challenge -- Xavier and Christian. Christian wins!

CHRISTIAN WINS THE POWER OF VETO!

Brent is sure he has the votes to stay. Delusional much, kid?

Yes, he is delusional. He's running around telling people that they need to keep the noms the same. Which, of course, is exactly what they plan. He thinks he's doing some kind of major epic BB move. What he doesn't know is that HE IS THE TARGET and all plan on blindsiding him.

Time for the veto meeting! Christian does not use the power of veto.

BB23: Live Feeds into Tuesday Night - July 27

For the next few weeks, maximum chillitude

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Chill Chinchillas:

  • I realize I didn't give you a report this morning. Had I done so, it would have read: Brent continues to think he's all that and can get them to vote out Britini, so much talk about what each one would do if they won HOH, Derek F complaining that the others don't clean up and tons of small talk.
  • To be honest, in between random feed blocks for unknown reasons, that could describe much of today as well.
  • There were a few things of note, though.
  • Xavier had a long talk with the camera (us) while alone in the HOH room.
  • I always love it when the hamsters do that.
  • He pointed out one by one that he's aligned with everyone in the house with the exception of Britini.
  • And, yeah ... he's even Number One on her hit list.
  • He says he won the comp to do what the majority wanted and to strengthen the bonds, won't win another comp until he has to for his own game.
  • He anticipates at least a few weeks of "maximum chillitude."
  • However, he did say this can all go as planned or fall right apart.
  • There is a bit of a crack in the Tiffany/Claire/Kyland bond. It seems both of the women think Kyland is trying to be a bit too controlling and take over. Uh-oh.
  • Kyland needs to step back on that one.
  • I think Claire and Tiffany (especially Tiffany) are the two who could bring anyone into the final four. Both know the game inside and out and play it like experts.
  • Lots of game talk but nothing particularly earth-shattering. We have too many "ifs" going on.
  • Brent is still pestering Hannah.
  • Perhaps she's tolerating it because she knows they're voting him out this week.
  • Perhaps she's tolerating it because she doesn't want to make him angry.
  • But if it were me, trust me ... he'd be leaving me alone.
  • That's pretty much all I have for you!

Carefully does make-up but does this to her hair

What? This is only the third week?

My future's so bright I had to put on shades

Doesn't that pose bother his left hand?

What if they had a season in which no one could cook well?

BB23: Live Feeds into Monday Night - July 26

Brent is running the house. Just ask him

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Rapping Rodents:

  • The only thing of real consequence that happened today was the Power of Veto meeting.
  • And, that wasn't of any real consequence at all.
  • We knew Christian had talked with Xavier and wouldn't be using the veto to save anyone.
  • And he didn't use it.
  • Ho-hum.
  • Britini has accepted that she's merely a pawn as much as she can. She's still not a happy camper and will target Xavier if she wins HOH.
  • She's making a new rap for a speech.
  • Although her rapping skills are a bit lacking I feel credit must be given to her for even doing it.
  • Shout-outs sound better to a rap beat.
  • Brent, although told time and time again that the target is Britini, is still convinced that he's the target because he's all that and a bag of chips.
  • He's right that he's the target. But it's more because he can be obnoxious and makes the women uncomfortable.
  • That said, he thinks he's talked people into voting out Britini and his plan is working because Christian didn't save her.
  • Oy.
  • Azah has calmed down some. However, I think the damage is done. She will never be a strong ally if she's such an emotional player.
  • That's about it. We had a lot of odd and lengthy feeds blocks today. I don't know why.

Derek X is coming along well for a recruit

Yep, another rap this week.

My hope for the final three

Dazed by the wonder that is Brent

Get it together, Azah!
