BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - Sept. 8

Good evening! Welcome to the party! Tonight's show is promised to feature the return of ZingBot. Oh, joy. I personally don't care for ZingBot as I often have a hard time hearing exactly what he's trying to say as the voice used is so whack. So, if I can't gather all the zings for tonight's post, I apologize.

I will be live-blogging and updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As this is a show post, it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE until aired on the show, please! The real party is in the comments area. You're all invited to join in on the fun!

Sitting through the "Previously on" segment.

We pick up the action as the Nominations Ceremony adjourns. Tiffany says to us that Alyssa will head out the door. Alyssa thinks she and Xavier were nominated because they are so strong. She has no idea that she is the actual target. Xavier is mad, whining about being on the block for a third time ... again.

Xavier is acting like he is the target to Alyssa. He once again fusses that Tiffany and Claire should be on the block, not him and Alyssa. Tiffany tells us that she does not want Alyssa to come off the block because then she would have to choose between Claire and the Cookout. Derek lies to Alyssa telling her he would use the veto to save her if he wins it. (Like he wins so many comps!)

Xavier complains to Derek that he's been throwing comps and making sacrifices, being such a team player. He tells him that he would save Alyssa instead of himself if he wins veto. Derek is worried that he himself would be put on the block as a renom.

A segment on Azah's singing -- her own songs, nothing copyrighted. The singing has been fun on the live feeds this season and I'm glad they're showing a bit of it.

Time to pick players for the veto comp. Tiffany draws Houseguest's Choice and goes for Hannah. Xavier draws Derek. Alyssa draws Azah. Derek tells us if he wins he will keep noms the same.

ZingBot arrives and tells them to go to the backyard. He's up on the ledge. He calls them a bunch of losers. Alyssa -- From FL, the sunshine state but you're so dim. Xavier -- reveal your secret you have a crush ... on yourself. Cracks on Tiffany for being old. Bigfoot comment for Claire. Hannah -- Knock knock who's there? Hannah who. Exactly. Big D - Big mark on the house ... in the toilet. Predicts Xavier will never go on a date with Azah. Kyland -- listening to you talk is like sitting by an endless babbling brook.

ZingBot is now a Zingfluencer and has an online platform. They have to help him go viral. Zingstagram challenge stacking micro-cocktails in a pyramid using tweezers. They have to do it from outside a dollhouse-like structure. We've seen similar comps in the past. Kyland and Claire are watching on the living room monitor.

ALYSSA WINS THE POWER OF VETO! She gets a tiny veto bracelet instead of the usual necklace. Tiffany is upset. Xavier is gleeful and smug.

Derek is once again bummed he didn't win. Xavier remains smug. Derek is worried that a Cookout person will go up, especially the "boys" in danger -- him, Kyland. Xavier is going on about how she has lost jury votes.

Tiffany feels she has to tell Claire and tells Hannah. She tells us her personal game choice would be to keep Claire. She has to tell her that she will be using her as a replacement without completely misleading her or endangering anyone else (Cookout). Xavier doesn't like the idea of how Tiffany would be all but exposing the Cookout. He fears Alyssa will catch on and target him.

Yes, it's all about Xavier, y'know. Did you know he's been on the block three weeks in a row? (Once by a roulette wheel spin by his precious Alyssa who was originally with Christian and once his OWN CHOICE because he wanted to win a veto he didn't need to win!)

Tiffany tells us she respects Claire and wants to be as honest with Claire as she can without exposing the Cookout. She lists the Cookout members by each saying she doesn't want to send them out and Claire guesses that she will be put on the block. Tiffany cries. She is hinting that it's not sending a Black person home. Claire cries. They both cry. I'm ready to cry. Claire says in the DR to us that she understands that Tiffany doesn't want to be part of the long BB tradition of sending people of color out the door.

Time for the veto meeting. Alyssa saves herself. Tiffany replaces her with Claire. Sigh.

BB23: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Sept. 7

Lays about almost as much as Derek does!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Annoying Aardvarks:

  • Yes, I did not post an update this morning.
  • No, not really because of me.
  • It was because of them. If they don't entertain me, I have nothing to post!
  • They just didn't give me much fodder.
  • Before the veto meeting there was a bit of talk about convincing Alyssa to use the veto to save Xavier instead of herself.
  • After they stopped laughing, they dumped that idea.
  • The feeds were blocked for a big Labor Day Cookout (not to be confused with the Cookout and I bet it was nowhere near as good as a real Black cookout).
  • Tiffany and Kyland seemed to be messing around under covers.
  • Oh my.
  • Claire has recovered from the shock of Tiffany putting her up thanks to Tiffany's talk with her beforehand.
  • It does appear that Claire might have two votes -- probably Hannah and Azah.
  • If they could swing Kyland in, they could save her.
  • But that won't happen.
  • Xavier is still ticked about Tiffany and, if he has his way, she will be the first Cookout member out.
  • Derek has been riding Xavier's coattails and seems to have taken on the role of Xavier's consigliere.
  • He's acting like he has done so much and he's in actuality done very little.
  • In front of Derek, Alyssa pointed out that after Claire goes, all that will remain is POC (she's Latina). Derek had to stifle a laugh. He didn't tell her to look around and see WHAT color they were.
  • They have all been expecting a double eviction soon and have been planning. But they don't know how soon it will actually be!
  • That's about all I have for you.
  • Blame them.

Obviously, I am destined to be the winner.

The girls like me better!

"Once Claire goes, it will all be people
of color here!" Um. Look around.

Still has them guessing his real job.

I'd like to return to BB and play with Claire!

Promised to vote for Tiffany if
she makes the final two.

BB23: Live Feeds Power of Veto Bulletin - Sept. 6

The veto meeting was held today. As expected, Alyssa chose to save herself and took herself off the block. Also, as expected, to replace her, Tiffany put Claire on the block.

The nominees are Claire and Xavier.

BB23: Live Feeds into Monday Morning - Sept. 6

Getting a bit too controlling I say!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Cracks in the Cookout:

  • But first ... I want to grouse a bit about the aired show editing. How come they are intent on editing Derek and Xavier as the good guys and Tiffany as a villain? The men are doing the same things she's been doing, perhaps even a bit more forcefully and Derek has spent an inordinate amount of time cussing out others and the show itself. Yet they are portrayed as the good guys? Give me a break!
  • Although they definitely have a group goal with the Cookout, it's limiting good players more than any previous alliance in the history of the game.
  • It's at the point where even since Derek X, some Cookout members have strong bonds with their non-Cookout counterparts and would personally rather work with them than some Cookout members.
  • And that's where we are now.
  • Azah wants to tell Claire about the Cookout and the reason she will have to go on the block to replace Alyssa when Alyssa saves herself.
  • Tiffany also wants to tell her.
  • "Oh NOES, you do NOT do that!" says Xavier.
  • He doesn't want his buddy Alyssa to find out about the Cookout.
  • Then she would know he's just been playing her.
  • Just from watching the feeds, I can see that Tiffany was NOT "just playing" either Derek X or Claire. She has genuine feelings for them, more so than she has for Derek F or Xavier.
  • It was heartbreaking to watch Tiffany explain to Claire why she has to put her up as the renom.
  • Word got out and about to just about everyone except Alyssa that Claire had been told.
  • Claire told Tiffany she understands and won't hold it against her.
  • Claire cried as her dreams have been crushed.
  • But she did straighten up and mingle with the others before going to bed a bit early.
  • There was a bit of scuttlebutt with Hannah, Tiffany and Kyland about voting out Xavier, but I don't see that really going anywhere.
  • The veto meeting will be later today.

Derek and Xavier have been
getting on her nerves.

Has probably cost herself the game

Tiffany explains it all to Claire. Claire cries.

Hannah still does weird things with her mouth,
like chewing the inside of her lip.

Would he even be in the house if
 his father wasn't famous?

What if she finds out Xavier has
just been using her?

BB23: HoH Comp and Nominations Show Blog Party - Sept. 5

Greetings and felicitations! Tonight we get to check out the end of the HOH "endurance" comp (which lost two people before the live show was over). And, then the HOH winner will choose two hamsters for nomination. In real life the veto comp has already been played. But, since this is a show post, it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE! Please don't comment on anything before it's aired. Some folks really don't like spoilers.

I will be live-blogging, regularly updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Sitting through "Previously On" as I always do ...

We pick up the action at the start of the HOH comp before Derek fell during the commercial break. He's down less than two minutes! Alyssa tells us she was getting dizzy and sick, down in six minutes. Claire drops (as she must overthrow it as secret HOH). Those three are the Have Nots for the week.

They show a segment with Derek pushing Tiffany to throw the comp to him, Kyland or Azah to take the shot against Claire this week.

Hannah is down. Xavier drops at 21 minutes. Azah actually falls at 23 minutes. It's down to Tiffany and Kyland still up. Tiffany is like a rock up there and Kyland is upset that she doesn't seem to have any intention of throwing it. Even Azah in a Diary Room segment is mad at Tiffany, as is Derek.

Kyland tries to deal to no avail. Kyland actually fell (not dropped) at 36 minutes. TIFFANY IS THE NEW HOH ... despite what the Cookout wanted. The others feel she has gone rogue on them.

Tiffany tells us she had no intention of sitting on the block this week -- which she would have been if anyone else in the Cookout won. She wants to build her wins resume and BB is an individual game. The Cookout members are crying SELFISH! I should note that I understand they have a lofty goal but I have never seen another alliance so limiting to what the members can and cannot do.

Alyssa is upset that she's on slop and feels that she and Xavier will be on the block. Xavier is mad because he will likely be on the block for the third week. Ahem ... first time was a random roulette wheel spun by Alyssa, second was his own choice of a punishment for winning a veto he didn't need to win.

Claire thinks that she is definitely safe this week. Kyland tries to talk to Tiffany and now doesn't trust that she's a team player. @@

Derek whines because he's a Have Not and fell down first. He is acting all kinds of defeated and Azah tries to pep talk him. He feels hopeless in all the comps. Hannah tells them that Tiffany didn't want Kyland to win. She tells us them all aiming at each other is good for her own game. She says, after all, BB is an individual game. Heh.

Azah, Derek and Xavier talk. Xavier says that Tiffany and Kyland are playing in their own interest, not for the vision (Black person winning the show). He claims he keeps feeling shafted by them.

Xavier talks to Tiffany. He wants her to take out Claire. She tells him while she doesn't want to put him on the block but if he wins the Power of Veto, he would take her off. He tells us, quite selfishly I might add, that he will do just that to ruin her HOH.

Derek fusses to us that he will be faking it and cares nothing about going to see Tiffany's HOH room. He and Xavier sit together. Xavier tells us that it should have been Derek or Azah's moment. I say if Derek can't win a comp, he doesn't deserve the HOH! Tiffany, Claire and Hannah watch Kyland, Derek and Xavier being miserable in the living room.

Tiffany tells us that she is playing the game for herself more than the Cookout. She wants Claire to target the guys if she wins HOH next week. She wants the final four to be her, Claire, Hannah and Azah.

She talks to Alyssa who is pulling a real Audrey look in a hoodie, hood up and dark sunglasses. Tiffany tells her that she is considering her and Xavier to break up a pair. Alyssa, pretty wisely, points out that she is good at the end because she wouldn't have any jury votes -- her own allies went out pre-jury. She tells Tiffany that she would have targeted Kyland not her.

Time for the nominations. Tiffany first nominates Alyssa, then Xavier. She says it was a tough decision, not personal, both good game players.
