The Amazing Race 35: No Sleep and a Million Dollar Dream - Ep. 3 - Blog Party

I will be live-blogging and updating this post constantly as the show airs here on the East Coast. I do ask for your patience as I am still getting used to the teams. Refresh the page to get the latest updates. As always, the real blog party is in the comments. I hope to see you there!

That wonderful Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool. You can check out photos and names of the teams on this post I made a while back.

Ashlie & Todd -- Dr Celine, NanaintheNW, SueGee
Greg & John -- Brent McKee, Jackie, Judi Sweeney

Malaina & Andrea -- Cheryl in NC, CherylNY, Debbie
Morgan & Lena -- Bizaro22, Debbie in FL, Krysta
Robbin & Chelsea -- Indiana Jane, KelseyNY, MikesGirl
Rob & Corey -- marthalight, PDX Granny, Sharon N
Steve & Anna Leigh -- David, Donna in FL, Glenn Allen

Are you ready? Let's GO!

Sitting through the Previously On segment.

They are flying to Vietnam. Take a long bus ride to Can Tho (a city). The first two teams -- Jocelyn/Victor and Rob/Corey -- end up with the same flight. Morgan and Lena only have to leg four to use the express pass. So they will probably use it today. Morgan/Lena and Greg/John are also on that first flight.

Whoa ... six hours difference with the next flight! Joe and Ian ended up with an earlier flight than the others on a second flight! Same with Joel/Garrett. Ohh ... trouble at the airport as some of the later teams have an early flight. Uh-oh ... the first flight is now 3PM instead of 1:45.

The first flight has arrived in Vietnam. They need to take taxis to the bus station. Interesting -- it's a sleeper bus and they have to take their shoes off upon entering. Teams arrive in Can Tho at night. They take time slots for the next segment of their trip. The dock doesn't open until 5:45AM.

It's a bunching point as teams arrive. But in the morning the teams are going out 15 minutes apart.

The 5:45 group is heading towards the Mekong Delta to a floating market. Dragonfruits, tangerines and golden melons must be delivered. Second group heading out. And the third. As they finish each delivery, they get a third of a clue.

Morgan and Lena decide to use their Express Pass.

Joel/Garrett through with the fruit delivery first and have all three parts of the clue. Then Steve/Anna Leigh. Joe and Ian forgot to take their clue.

Joel/Garrett - Detour - Paper or Plastic. Making rice paper 12 sheets. Or, customizing the wrapping on one body part of a moped. Lena/Morgan get there and choose Plastic.

Uh-oh, Greg/John are going around in circles with their boat deliveries.

More teams are hitting the Detour. Paper seems the more popular. As soo as I say that, two teams pick Plastic. Uh-oh, only five ovens available at the Paper. The Plastic does seem to be harder.

Steve/Anna Leigh finish the Detour first and are on their way to the Pit Stop.

Pit Stop Order:
1. Steve/Anna Leigh - still racing, leg not over.
2. Joel/Garrett ... still racing, of course.
3. Rob/Corey - they get the clue
4. Todd/Ashlie
5. Robbin/Chelsea
6. Morgan/Lena
7. Joe/Ian
8. Greg/John
9. Andrea/Malaina
10. Jocelyn/Victor
11. Liam/Yeremi

All teams still racing.

Survivor fans ready?

We go on a bit of a whirlwind tour of the tribes and what previously happened on them.

Lulu Night 5 - Returning from tribal without Brandon. Sabiyah said in the Marines they have a saying "no man left behind" but Brandon had to go. She says Emily must continue to prove the trust. She gave Emily her shot in the dark back. Emily thinks there may have only been three votes because Jeff only read two votes. She brings it up. Sabiyah couldn't vote but wasn't about to discuss it with Emily!

Belo Day 6 - Weird, Jake seemed to have a seizure of some sort and almost fell in the fire. He has no clue what it was. Dehydration? Kellie(or Kendra?) talks to Jake and bonds with him.

Reba Day 6 - The crab they caught to eat ate the earthworms they were going to eat. Austin goes off with Drew looking for the idol. Julie and Dee have noticed that Austin and Drew are a bit too close. They watch Drew digging. He makes up a story about seeing Sifu hanging over there and thought maybe something was there. They are four strong. Dee doesn't trust them.

Already to the Reward Challenge. Start in ocean, race to beach, throw ball into overhead track and run to catch it, make basket to raise ring target, toss rings, three to win. First tribe to finish wins large fruit platter, second smaller one. Winning tribe can send one person to another tribe to steal one tribe item or just get intel.

LULU wins first place! Reba wins second place! Kaleb wants to go and is backed by the others. Emily says he's perfect, smart and personable.

Kaleb heads to the boat. In addition to stealing an item he can forge a relationship with someone - that gift is an advantage to recover a lost vote. Kaleb heads to Reba. Drew thinks Kaleb is running the Lulu tribe. He does start schmoozing them. Kaleb tells them he wants the entire fishing gear set, leaving them the spear. They are impressed with him.

Kaleb gives Drew the Good Will Advantage. He explains the advantage and Drew thinks it's perfect to give to his ally Austin who has lost the vote. Drew tells Austin and Dee about it.

Lulu Day 5 - The four are feasting! Sean likes "this" Emily as does Sabiyah now. Sabiyah thinks that Kaleb would be dangerous to sit next to at the end. Should she and Sean get him out? (Yikes! Not pre-merge!) They talk to Emily about it. Now, Kaleb is the only one who was nice to her at the start. She tells them she will do whatever they want.

Belo Day 7 - The guys take the raft out and go fishing. The women talk. They don't think Jake is a threat even though he's a lawyer. However, they do think Bruce is annoying and Katurah wants him targeted. Kellie talks to Brando as he's her ally.

On Reba, Austin tells Dee and Julia about the advantage which points to the flag and a hidden clue. The four (Drew is with them) go off digging. One keeps Sifu and Jaye (Maya) occupied while the others dig. They find a buried rope and follow it. Julie and Dee find a hammer which directs them to break a rock near the water well. All four head to the water well. It's an Immunity Idol! Only good for one tribal council, though. If you sacrifice your vote, it will last to merge. If you sacrifice again, until final five.

Day 7 - Immunity Challenge. Race out with a cart, release two keys, release heavy puzzle pieces, massive puzzle one player calling.

REBA wins Immunity! Belo takes second Immunity! And, for the third time, Lulu has to go to Tribal. (They still don't have flint.)

Poor Lulu. The four are so saddened. Kaleb thinks Sean and Sabiyah will go after Emily. Sabiyah suggests to Kaleb they have stories so Emily won't use her shot in the dark. Sabiyah does not have a vote and wants Kaleb out. She wants to melt the idol's covering in the campfire at Tribal. Sabiyah tells Emily about the idol. Now Emily is suspicious of Sabiyah and wants to tell Kaleb. She tells him to vote Sabiyah. Kaleb thinks Emily is telling him what's been told to her or vote out Sabiyah.

Tribal Council time. Sabiyah puts her wax-covered idol near the fire. Jeff asks what's up. She tells him she needs her vote tonight. Jeff reviews the past few days with them. Kaleb talks about his "raid" on the other camp. Emily says her game is on the line. Sabiyah says it remains in the back of their minds what Emily said at the start. A scroll was showing after the fire burned away the wax. Jeff is asking what Emily could have done behind the backs of others.

Time to vote. Emily votes Sabiyah. Sabiyah does indeed have an idol -- it's got the same rules as the one just found by the other tribe. She doesn't vote so she can keep it until merge. (Or so it seems.)

The tally - Sabiyah, Kaleb, Sabiyah ... three votes, not four. She's shocked.

Next week, the tribes switch!

BB25: Live Feeds into Wednesday - Oct.11

Showing some leg to gain house favor.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Waffle Wednesday:

  • Gee, they might just have toast and eggs today.
  • It's not that Cameron's not trying to campaign, mind you.
  • It's more the glazed look of indifference in the faces of the others as he constantly retells events that happened, how people have done him wrong, how great he would be to leave in the house to fight for all that is good and glorious ... whatever.
  • Cory, called Skeezy by Cirie and Felicia and knows it, found out that Cameron has been calling him "that kid."
  • So, now in addition to saying that he is like "America's father," he can expect Cory to call him Daddy.
  • Cameron has been successful in making many of the others suspicious of each other.
  • However, that won't help him stay in the house.
  • It will, of course, possibly create chaos which is one of Cameron's take the page from Russell Hantz bits this season.
  • THE most unflappable person under Cameron's interrogations is Smiling Bowie Jane. "You pushed too hard for Cory, that's that."
  • They keep trying to figure out what comp is headed their way -- slip and slide, comics, spelling?
  • I do like that the show has switched up some of the comps a bit.
  • Although today is Waffle Wednesday and this bunch waffles EVERY Wednesday, I think they will stick with the Cam eviction.
  • It should be another house vote.
  • Yeah, like the first time they evicted him.
  • Laters!

Well, she does cook.

Maybe the half-Audrey will help.

And Bowie Jane kept smiling.

Maybe this approach will work!

BB25: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - Oct. 10

Good evening! Make sure you have your beverages and snacks nearby. I hope everyone remembers this Tuesday night change!

We have Felicia and Cirie on the block. Will someone win the veto and actually use it to save one of the nominees? Tonight, we are scheduled to have the ZingBot appearance. As I said before, not a fan of it. I often have issues understanding what is being said with that weird ZingBot voice -- how is Matt going to understand?!?! Plus, I just find it mean. It could be just me.

I will be live blogging the show as it airs here on the East Coast. I'll be updating regularly -- please refresh the page to get the latest updates. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

As my norm, I'm sitting out the Previously on segment.

We pick up the action at the end of the nominations ceremony. Bowie Jane tells us that Cirie is her target. Cirie tells us she wanted to go longer not on the block and needs to win her first time playing for veto. Felicia tells MR. B that she needs to win a veto.

Cory suggests a Cam backdoor to Jag and Bowie Jane. He is sure that Cameron will win again and target him. Bowie Jane tells us that Cameron never did anything to her and her noms are made. Jag also thinks that Cameron needs to go.

Bowie Jane talks to Cameron. She goes and tells him about Cory suggesting he get backdoored. Cam tells her she needs to backdoor Cory. She doesn't want the blood on her hands, nor problems with America. She thinks Cory and Cam should just go after each other and leave her out of it.

Jag tells Matt he needs to talk to Bowie Jane about targeting Cameron.

Time to pick veto players! Bowie Jane draws Matt. Cirie draws Jag. Felicia draws America. Oh my, Cameron is NOT drawn for veto!

Jag and Cam talk. Cam is all suspicious that Mecole's warning about Cory, America and Bowie Jane being in an alliance were true. He's building up the scenario and wants Cory out as a backdoor. Jag tells us he will use all the stuff Cam is saying about Bowie Jane.

Jag goes to Bowie Jane telling her how Cameron doesn't trust her. Now she's suspicious of him!

Uh-oh. The ScrambleVerse globe is lighting and it's ZingBot. It's ZingBot9<3<3<3. It claims it's nice because of the ScrambleVerse. Head to the backyard for the veto comp.

It's OTEV. OTEV is the Zinging Robot and gives out the zings. America robbing the cradle. Bigger wrinkles to this game multiverse twist or Felicia. Jag your gameplay reminds me of a sportscar, not a Jaguar but Aston Moron, Lame Bhorginhi. Blue fashion insult. (I'm not getting all of these.) Bowie Jane - Scary white teeth that terrify people, pigtails. Mecole - me-bored to six week me-coma, so under the radar forgot evicted. Matt - Cardboard Josh, similar intelligence. Cirie - You're alone, can finally lose well on an island. Cameron - Lt. Loser to Major BLEEP Tool. Song about Cory set to America the Beautiful, tiny man, can't kiss, etc.

Okay, it starts. Typical OTEV. A Crapbook of the Most Pathetic Losers of BB25. Each round one loser who has been evicted, retrieve, up the flowing water hill, kneel, one less place to kneel each time. We get the DR blurbs from those who have to win.

1. Photos of 2nd and 3rd evicted. Cirie has the wrong answers - Reilly and Kirsten, should be Reilly and Hisam. She goes back while Felicia and Bowie Jane are still searching. She makes it up last and is eliminated first.

2. Photos of loser who finished last in the Kicking Butt comp. Kirsten is the right answer. America drops her photo by the ramp and Felicia takes her place. America is out.

3. Loser who had to wear a piggy costume for the week ... Izzy only because Cam is still in the game. Felicia last up.

4. Loser eliminated 1st in the Pressure Cooker. Jared is the answer. Matt up last, eliminated.

5. Losers who were evicted with 8 votes to evict. It's down to Jag and Bowie Jane. Izzy and Red are the answers.

JAG WINS THE POV!

Cirie thinks her game life is in the hands of a LameBorghini. She doesn't think Jag will use it so that either Cory or Cameron will be backdoored. Little does she know that that is exactly Jag's intention.

Bowie Jane is approached to Cameron because he is having weird feelings. She tells him that it sounds like Jag wants to use the veto. He doesn't want to be on the block. He pushes the Cory renom idea. Cameron tries to guilt trip her for even considering putting him on the block.

We are left on a cliffhanger.

BB Comic Week kicks off on Thursday.

BB25: Live Feeds into Tuesday Morning - Oct. 10

Giving unsolicited game advice to all.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Toodles to Poodles:

  • Although Cameron is surprised and confused that Cirie was left on the block with him, he knows he will be voted out.
  • No sense even campaigning to stay.
  • What to do? What to do?
  • Well, he can go around giving unsolicited game advice to others, right?
  • He warned Blue about wanting to be with the "cool kids," Matt and Jag.
  • After all, Bowie Jane fell for them!
  • He gave Cirie game and people advice.
  • BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • Cirie was already having reservations about Matt and Jag -- Cameron confirmed them.
  • She talked to Blue about how they will always be at the bottom of any alliance.
  • Of course, Blue's dislike for Cory keeps her from being at the bottom of that alliance.
  • However, the house has two power alliances -- Matt/Jag and Cory/America versus Felicia, Cirie, Bowie Jane and Blue.
  • If the four women could band together, they might have something.
  • Mind you, they would have to win comps.
  • As for the physical comps, Bowie Jane might be the best competitor IF she WANTS to win. She can't play for HOH this week.
  • Cameron thinks he has the record for nominations. He's not even close.
  • Cameron told Bowie Jean her true character showed now.
  • "Thank you, mate! That makes me proud."
  • Heh.
  • In between lecturing and questioning who's working with whom rounds, Cameron generally sat with his sunglasses on staring into the netherland.
  • Jag might be being a bit extra. He thinks he and Matt should make a fake final three with Cirie the same way they did with Bowie. (And possibly Blue before that!)
  • I'm actually unsure what all these final three, etc. deals will do.
  • If Cory or America win HOH, doubtful as it may be, will they make the move to target Matt or Jag?
  • Throughout the house, the Cameron advice/lectures are going through numerous retells.
  • Hey, he got them all talking to each other!
  • Hmm.
  • Laters!

I like Blue better without Jared.

And Bowie Jane smiled some more.

Oh my, having skin issues under the makeup.

Bereft without his flosser.
