Survivor 45: Following a Dead Horse to Water - Ep. 8 Blog Party

Good evening! Tonight we will see the return of the Survivor auction. I can't even tell you when we last saw that. But, unlike ZingBot on BB, I always enjoyed the Survivor auction.

9:25PM ET. So, please shift over to that post for that show. Merci.

I will be live blogging the show the best I can, constantly updating it. Refresh this page to get the latest updates. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool. Here's where we stand:

Kendra --- Cherry Pie, EthanC
Emily --- ChicMc, Donna in AL, Jackie
Austin --- Pearl, Nora M, Sharon N
Drew --- Dr Celine, monty924
Bruce --- Krysta, Skyriverblue
Kellie --- Michelle, Bizaro22
Jake --- Donna in FL, TS14Fan
Katurah --- Donna NY, April W
Dee --- Judi Sweeney, Brent McKee
Julie --- Andi, PDX Granny

JURY
Kaleb

Survivor fans ready?

Sitting out the Previously On segment.

They're returning from Tribal. Was Sifu the right choice? What about Bruce? The second group returns and tells them they voted out Kaleb. Jake has some amends to make as he actually wanted to go to rocks to save Kaleb. Julie is a bit irked that Jake voted for her. The Kaleb vote was understandable. Now she feels she can't trust Jake. Lines have been drawn.

Day 15 - The girls realize they are in the majority -- 6 to 4. Is it time for them to make a move? The six all want Bruce out. Kellie is very pleased with the thought of the women banding together to get him out.

A boat is arriving. The boat has a table with attached serving plates. The crew puts the names of each castaway at a plate. Who's ready for a blast from the past? The Survivor auction where they can bid on food items. They have to find the cash in bamboo tubes in the forest. Once they find a tube, they have to go put it on their plate, then go find more.

Everybody is running around gathering them except Bruce. The rest all have multiples; he has nothing. He's barely trying. Ohhh ... he found one! Now they are opening the tubes. All have different amounts. Dee has $900.

Time for the auction! 30th season, 2015, was the last time it was done. No advantages this time around. 15 items for the auction -- only the first five guaranteed. Auction will end without warning. The person with the most money left loses their vote. Bruce only has $80. Jeff draws the stone for the number of total items. Bidding is $20 increments. Beer and pretzels to Kendra for $360.

French fries, ketchup and a soda. $500 to Kellie. A covered item -- Emily $440 and it's a charcuterie platter and a glass of white wine. Chocolate milkshake Dee for $900. Covered item Katurah $480 -- Jeff offers to trade for another covered dish. She sticks with the first one -- two giant fish eyes. That was all her money. Austin buys them for $100.

The covered item from before goes to Drew for $520 -- candy bowl. A slice of pizza goes to Austin for the rest of his money. Toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash sold to Julie for her complete $420. Covered dish bought by one, shared by three. Jake buys for his whole $340. No utensils. He invites Julie. Reluctantly chooses Bruce.

Three people still have money -- Kellie with the most $200. One item -- covered dish. All her money, PB&J, potato chips and a margarita. Bruce has $80 and Emily has $60. Oops! Bruce loses his vote. The auction is over.

Back at camp, the women are having fun talking about the auction. Oh, and we get a backstory about Kendra reuniting with her biological father.

Emily is more partial to Drew and Austin than the women. She warns Drew about the six women. Drew thinks it will be great to flush the idol, plus targeting Bruce for his own needs. Austin and Drew talk to Katurah and Julie. Bruce is the target with Jake as a backup.

Immunity Challenge time. Hold onto a rope containing a log with one third their pregame body weight, move down knots on the rope. Jeff also has a bag of rice. Four people need to sit out of the challenge to get the rice which would last. Dee, Emily, Drew, Katurah all under pressure as Jeff cut a hole in the bag and let rice out of it.

Kellie is the first out. Then Kendra out. They move down to the final section with no knot. Julie, Austin, Jake and Bruce still in it. Austin out. Jake out. It's between Bruce and Julie -- the two oldest in the game. Julie drops. BRUCE WINS IMMUNITY!

Bruce knows so many want him out and he had no vote, they thought it a done deed. He has an idol in his pocket, too. Kellie is really irked. Emily says it put a wrench in the plans. Will they vote out Jake? Can they get Bruce to use his idol to save Jake? Kellie is with Jake and even Bruce. Emily and Kellie tell Jake not to use his shot in the dark and he will be safe. They didn't give him an alternate name. So, he searches for an idol.

Drew has a plan to flush the idol and go after Kellie because she has so much power in the game. It seems to be between Jake and Kellie as targets as they head off to Tribal Council.

Tribal Council - Night 16. Kaleb sits alone in the jury box looking all clean. He looked shocked at Bruce's Immunity necklace. They talk about the rice and the four who sat out of the challenge. Jake makes a pitch. He loses track of his thoughts. He talks about them dogpiling onto him and was willing to go to rocks last Tribal. Kellie thinks Jake went into it too fast. Jake gets quite defensive if it's a unanimous vote tonight. Is it a ploy because he's a lawyer?

He talks about if he pulls out my ... er an idol tonight or play shot in the dark. Time to vote.

The tally. Jake plays his shot in the dark. He is NOT Safe.
Jake, Jake, Jake, Kellie, Kellie, Kellie, Kellie, Kellie.

9th person voted out is Kellie, second member of the jury. She is mad.

Off Topic: Sad News for the Regulars

Participant on the blog for years and years, JonMD1267 last commented on Halloween day. We knew that's not like him. The problem with screen names here is that I often don't have a real name or address. I know his first name and that he lives in Maryland.

Thankfully, I remembered that he once donated to the blog on PayPal, which lists a real name, email and snail mail address. I sent an email, but never received a reply. Well, I just looked up his name and town and found this. I signed the guestbook. I think his sister would like to know how his online presence touched the lives of so many.

BB25: Live Season Finale Blog Party

We made it! We lived through this too long season of 100 days in the Big Brother house. While the first half of the season was good, once we hit the Zombie week it was like the season itself jumped the shark. But we stayed. And, yeah ... there were some gems here and there. I would never have predicted the final three to be Bowie Jane, Matt and Jag.

Tonight, on the two-hour finale, we will see:
  • The rest of Part One of the final HOH comp which had its start aired on the Tuesday show.
  • Part Two of the final HOH comp which is taped.
  • Part Three of the final HOH comp which will be live.
  • The Jury Roundtable with Dr. Will (which sounds great!)
  • Live eviction down to the Final Two
  • Jury questions
  • Final Two speeches
  • The voting and winner of BB25
  • America's Favorite Player
  • Whatever "holiday surprise" Julie was talking about. I'm in fear because I've seen promos for it with Britney, Frankie and Danielle in holiday pajamas.
I will be live blogging the show as it airs here on the East Coast. As I will be constantly updating, refresh the page to get the latest happenings! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- I hope to see you there!

Before we get started, Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool. I find it hard to believe I'm still in my own blog pool! Here's where we stand ...

Bowie Jane - Jasonuwp, Sally, Rachel C, Jessica U, Joyce Johnson
Matt - Brenda, Helenann2k, Brent McKee, Chrob61
Jag - Barbara W, Jackie, Donna in Alabama, Mary C

JURY
Cameron
Cory
Blue
America
Cirie
Felicia

Hamster watchers ready?

Julie tonight

I sat through the Previously On segment.

We go to the Part One of the HOH in which they are hanging on suspended balls crashing into stuff. We get diary room bits on why each needs to win. They are getting hit with goo, hair and ice-cold rain. They have to move down from the disk to the bubble. Bowie Jane out at an hour 24 minutes. Jag and Matt want to do rock-paper-scissors. Jag goes down. MATT is the winner of Part One!

Bowie Jane and Jag will compete in Part Two. Julie tells us the Dr. Will Roundtable is up next.

Here we go! Felicia comes in to join them. They talk about Bowie Jane and her non-game. America thinks floating worked as a strategy for her. They talk about control. Cory thinks Jag was more in control. Cirie thinks he manipulated so many. This is really good. I'm not able to keep up with each statement. They say Matt has a better social game than Jag. Lots of positive talk about Matt. His worst moves were not owning up to his moves in the game.

Bowie Jane's parents are in the crowd from Australia.

Part Two of the HOH Comp! Competitions have to be sent back to their proper universe. Zipline back and forth, chronological orders for the comps in the correct universes.

Jag studied hard but never paid attention to what universe each comp came from. He's having all kinds of problems. Finally gets it. He thinks his performance was horrible. Then it's Bowie Jane's turn. I wish she would stop shouting in the Diary Room. Like Jag, she didn't pay attention to which universe each comp was from. She seems to be doing worse than Jag. Finally she finishes. JAG wins Part Two! 1 hour 2.56 minutes vs. Bowie Jane's hour and a half.

Jag has final two deals with both Matt and Bowie Jane. Now, that can't happen, right?

Time for Part Three HOH comp! Meowmeow Enterprises sends them Jury Verse. How well do they know the jury? Videos, three statements about the jury person, one is false. Six videos.

1. Both right
2. Both right
3. Both right
4. Both right
5. Both right
6. Both wrong

To a tiebreaker. How many minutes was the When Universes Collide Part One comp from the start to when Jag went down?
Matt 140 Jag 163 -- 176 is right.

JAG wins Part Three!

To the living room.
Matt - Jag, my boy. Love you, had each other's back. Let's keep it real.
Bowie Jane - Good buddies, would like to be in the final two, lots of money on the line.

Jag chooses to evict ... he tells both good things about them. He chooses to evict Bowie Jane. He has to take Matt to the final two. She's good about it.

Bowie Jane tells Julie she told Jag he had to do what is right for him. Short and sweet interview.

Jury questions time. Three questions for each finalist.
Cirie - Matt - Through game Jag leader, you follower. What moves were your own? Saved Jag's game. We did everything together, why we're here.
Cory - Jag - You and Matt working together, did you carry Matt to final two? I made it happen, I was the leader.
Felicia - Matt - 2 occasions you told me you were thinking of evicting Jag, real or lie? I was loyal to Jag, told you what you wanted to hear.
America - Jag - Goodbye messages you took credit before you never said anything? I finished the job and can own up then.
Cameron - Matt - Lying a big part of the game, strategic lie? Telling people I would take a shot at Jag, telling people what they wanted to hear.
Blue - Jag - Voted out week four, why do you deserve to win the game over the person saving you? Came up with BB mastership game for myself, adapted, my journey in the game is testament to that.
Bowie Jane - Jag - How did your game change for the better when you joined in the Mafia with Matt and me? Loves her.

Final statements from the Final Two.
Matt - First deaf person to play the game, had to play a social game, had to step up, lived in Have Not, almost perfect game, good social game, he worked on his social game rather than the comps, performed when needed to, backed away, team player. I played my own game. Had Jag gone out, I would have been fine.
Jag - I have willed this to be this way, I signed your eviction notices. Got Cam out. Singlehandedly sent Cory and Blue home. I convinced Matt to send Cirie home. I am the most dominant and strategic player in this house. All your blood is on my hands. I am the first Sikh player.

Time to vote.
Cameron - what a road, voting for the guy I told over a month ago.
Cory - Voting for the person I can beat in a fight.
Blue - Team brunette, team blond
America - To the slimiest snake of them all
Cirie - I am loyal, voting person most loyal to me.
Felicia - Neither of you were loyal to me, best ability to get befriended.
Bowie Jane - Keep to my word.

The pre-jury is there. Julie asks Mecole what surprises her the most -- Cameron was the hero rather than the villain. He is flattered. Hisam surprised Mecole is a political consultant. Bowie Jane admits being a criminal trial attorney specializing in money laundering and tax fraud. Felicia brings up her age. She admits being 45.

Cameron, Felicia's famous relative ... Denzel. Felicia admits not true. All are shocked that Jared is Cirie's son. That bit must be watched!

Time to reveal the vote!
BJ - Jag
Felicia - Matt
Cirie - Matt
America - Jag
Blue - Jag
Cory - Jag

JAG WINS BB25! (And JACKIE wins the blog pool for the first time!) Cameron also voted Jag.

America's favorite houseguest. Top three -- Cirie, Matt and Cameron.

CAMERON won it!

There is something going on in the BB House -- Frankie, Danielle and Britney are in laundry bins in storage. They find their doohickey to close the Multiverse. They shoot it and the universes go away one by one. Uh-oh Christmas stuff starts floating around, they have holiday pjs on now.

Brand new show BB Reindeer Gane with legendary BB players. Jordan Derek and Tiffany as Santa's elves. Premieres December 11.

BB25: Last Live Feeds of the Season - Day 100

They bid the live feeders adieu.

But had to add their silly M

Here's the last and latest from inside that Big Brother House of Finally Finale:
  • Once again, not too much to report.
  • Yesterday Bowie made pitches to both of the others.
  • She knows she would lose to both, so she's pitching for second place.
  • When she talked to Jag, she actually made some excellent points -- if he wins Part Three and takes Matt to the Final Two, he's throwing away the 750 grand.
  • However, she thinks he's sure to win against her and she would be satisfied with second place.
  • Jag did seem to ponder it for a bit.
  • However, he and Matt met up in the bathroom and compared notes on Bowie Jane's talks.
  • Her talk with Matt had been more along the lines of an assured win against her, iffy against Jag.
  • In the end, it looks like Jag and Matt will stick together in the final two.
  • In other news, Matt trash talked America/Cory again.
  • They went through all the other players and decided most were overrated.
  • They napped ... at one point the guys cuddled together with Bowie Jane awkwardly atop them.
  • They each played Solitaire ... solitarily.
  • They have not done much housecleaning as of yet. You know Felicia would be going with the vacuum!
  • I'm waiting to see if they do something for the feeds close before I post this.
  • Live feeds ended at 1:00PM ET.

The Amazing Race 35: Like Two Cats Fighting in a Car - Ep. 7 Blog Party

I will be live-blogging and updating this post constantly as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest updates. As always, the real blog party is in the comments. I hope to see you there!

Lifeguard SueGee has once again updated the blog pool and here's where we stand going into tonight's show:

Ashlie & Todd -- Dr Celine, NanaintheNW, SueGee
Greg & John -- Brent McKee, Jackie, Judi Sweeney
Joel & Garrett -- ChicMc, Ethan, Willie J, Jasonuwp
Malaina & Andrea -- Cheryl in NC, CherylNY, Debbie
Morgan & Lena -- Bizaro22, Debbie in FL, Krysta
Robbin & Chelsea -- Indiana Jane, KelseyNY, MikesGirl
Rob & Corey -- marthalight, PDX Granny, Sharon N
Steve & Anna Leigh -- David, Donna in FL, Glenn Allen

Are you ready? Let's GO!

Skipping through the Previously On segment.

Greg/John get their clue -- leaving India and heading to Frankfurt, Germany. All teams will be on the same flight. So, there will be a bunching point again. Once there, they will have to do the driving for the first time. Ashlie and Todd lived in Germany for a while as did Robbin.

Teams hit the ground running and find their cars. They have to drive to a ferry which will take them to a castle. They need to spend five euros on board to exchange for historical coins to pay their way at the Roadblock. Already a few teams are not following the directions right.

Three teams hit the Roadblock -- Must pay off a robber baron to pay the toll. The hard part is to figure out what the witten (coins) are worth. The coin values are the issue. They get the clue and rappel down the side of a mountain. Morgan and Lena are through first.

After the Roadblock they will head to Cologne.

Uh-oh, Malaina and Andrea are on the wrong ferry. They think they're in first. They never got the historical coins because they never got on the right ferry.

The teams hitting Cologne are having directional issues. Even father/daughter are arguing.

It's time to horse around. It's a carnival. One team member has to ride a carnival bike horse while the other throws flowers.

They have to go on foot to get the next clue.

Malaina and Andrea are totally lost, haven't even found the castle yet. When they did find the castle, they had to head back to the right ferry for the coins. Other teams are having trouble finding the right place to park in Cologne.

Roadblock - They have to unlock a marked love lock on a bridge. The lock combination is the oldest cologne made in Cologne -- 4711. Greg got the lock first. They are in first place again. Ashlie helped Rob out with the number.

Detour: Just for Kicks -- Velcro soccer balls on dartboard. Matter of Taste -- identify nine mustard seed flavors by taste. As a person who HATES mustard, I could never taste the mustards! Greg and John finish first. They can head to the Pit Stop which is at a chocolate museum.

Pit Stop Order
1. Greg/John - won $4,000 each
2. Robbin/Chelsea
3. Todd/Ashlie
4. Rob/Corey
5. Steve/Anna Leigh
6. Morgan/Lena
7. Garrett/Joel

Uh-oh ... the carnival has packed up and Phil is waiting for Malaina and Andrea there. They are Philiminated.
