********************************

Julie is wearing an orange flowy kind of dress that is really not slimming. She hints to us that the teams will be ending. Then we're into "previously on." Yep, the narrator confirms the teams are ending. Good.

Julie tells us the Kings are the only complete team left. She will tell them later tonight that the teams are history.

Christian is hoping for a unanimous vote to oust Whitney. Hannah is thinking that people might be noticing how analytical she is and think of her as a threat. So far it seems to be only SarahBeth and Whitney noticing it.

Tiffany tells us that she feels closest to Hannah, they think alike and even now have a final two deal. The Cookout is supporting Hannah but Tiffany points out that SarahBeth is coming after Hannah ... and thus needs to be targeted.

Meanwhile, SarahBeth is trying to convince Kyland that Hannah is dangerous in the game. He's the only person in the game she trusts. It's a friendship, not a showmance! Kyland thinks very highly of her but tells us he would have to choose the Cookout over her.

Tiffany works to get the Cookout members to partner a non-Cookout member to act as a bit of a shield to make it further in the game. Tiffany is a bit worried about SarahBeth, but goes ahead and includes her in the plan.

Now we get Whitney looking for votes. Christian is trying to walk like Derek F but doesn't have they rhythm. Tiffany seems to have a bug in her bonnet because no one answered her good morning greeting. It was Kyland, Xavier and SarahBeth. Now Tiffany is worried about Kyland and SarahBeth's relationship.

Azah goes to Tiffany saying that a King must go home. Azah doesn't trust Hannah and realizes that she cannot talk to Tiffany about it. Oh geez ... Whitney goes into her one on one meetings, starting with Alyssa. She tells Alyssa that Hannah has been moving in on Christian and can manipulate him and that she would likely target her (Alyssa). Alyssa buys what she's selling, it seems. She runs to Christian with the intel. Christian, not knowing about the Cookout votes, thinks he can persuade them to target Hannah if he wants. Or, so the show edit tells us!

To the living room ...

Hannah is wearing athletic gear, Whitney a dress.

Hannah - Shout outs but don't want to see soon, then briefly addresses hamsters.

Whitney - Shout outs, make up sessions, weird but love you to death. She tells them to vote for her. Mind you, the votes for her would be for eviction.

The votes to evict:

Derek F - Whitney
Britini - Whitney
Azah - Whitney
Kyland - Whitney
Alyssa - Whitney
SarahBeth - Whitney
Claire - Whitney
Derek X - Whitney
Tiffany - Whitney
Xavier - Whitney

It's unanimous, Whitney is gone. Hopefully the last house vote? Please? We hate that stuff!

Whitney tells Julie that she is out because she was an advocate for women empowerment and making big moves. The men are scared of her. Yeah, sure. That's why. Julie tells her about the Royal Flush. All the goodbye messages shown are nice ones. To be honest, she really didn't raise much animosity in the house. Azah was the one with the most against her due to jealousy over Xavier, but she even said that and was nice.

Julie tells them that the teams are being eliminated. They are happy. I notice that the Kings are rather subdued. The Wild Card comp is also gonzo.

They head to the backyard and we head into a commercial.

The comp will barely start ... make sure you go to the next post for coverage after the show ends!

It's a wall comp. Whale of a Time. The wall is a huge whale watching ship. It's raining on them and tilting.

BB23: Live Feeds into Thursday Morning - August 5

Tiffany's birthday and Have Not ending feast

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Bedazzled Bedbugs:

  • Well, no. They don't have bedbugs.
  • The ants, however, have moved back in. I swear they wait for the BB season each year and possibly make reservations ahead of time.
  • So much of yesterday was taken up with blocked live feeds (the no fish cam) and Whitney's one on one meetings that there wasn't much time for a heck of a lot of other good stuff.
  • Xavier went and told Hannah that since Whitney was doing the talks, she should, too.
  • Thankfully hers were not as long or painful or off in odd tangents as were Whitney's talks.
  • This season the BB voice tells them to clean the house ... usually as they are cleaning it.
  • Overall, they seem to be a cleaner group than some.
  • While Derek F whines and fusses that he is the only one who cleans, I can think of many I've seen doing housework.
  • Today and tomorrow is the major cleaning sweep as the live show is tomorrow at 5PM their time.
  • Mind you, they are blocked off from doing laundry as the machines are outside -- something I've never really understood.
  • Perhaps because I live in the land of the ice and snow, outside appliances just aren't a thing here.
  • But I did spend a few years living in Los Angeles County as a child and our washing machine was inside the house!
  • I'm obviously using a lot of filler material here, aren't I?
  • There just isn't a lot to report!
  • Besides cleaning, a lot of cooking was going on.
  • At midnight they had a combination feast/celebration for the end of this week's Have Nots and Tiffany's birthday.
  • Tiffany has declared that since it's her birthday, she should win the HOH to get a letter from home.
  • I don't know.
  • I'm not sure she really wants to show her cards yet. I think she would like a letter from home but she also would prefer to have someone else do her dirty work for her. She's been prepping Hannah for the role.
  • Anyway, we should have an eviction with no surprises tonight as we bid adieu to Whitney.
  • Then it's an endurance comp for HOH.
  • I will post a separate post to cover the endurance comp as it plays out on the live feeds.
  • Laters!

To be honest, I wouldn't miss her if she gets targeted.

Listening to Whitney = dazed and confused

Her campaigning was exhausting ... for me!

They yawn. I yawn.

Did she choose the outfit or did BB? I just can't ...

I so wish Tiffany wasn't scheming against them!

Watch your back, Derek. Trust no one.

BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 4

Hello fellow hamster watchers! I'd call us voyeurs but that sounds too creeper-like. Tonight is the Power of Veto comp as well as the PoV meeting during which the veto is used ... or not. We have Whitney and Hannah on the block with Hannah as the pawn. Will it be a case of the pawn going home this week? Will Whitney win the Power of Veto and save herself?

Well, we might know some of the answers from the live feeds. However, since this is a show post, it's in the No Spoilers Zone. Please, let the folks who just watch the shows enjoy this! Merci.

I will be live-blogging the show with all the major events as it airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest updates! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there! Bring snacks!

How many times can I yawn through the "previously on" segment?

We pick up the action as the Nominations Ceremony comes to an end. Christian justifies his noms to us. Whitney has no idea why she is nominated. Hannah is not thrilled but is pretty sure she is the pawn. Derek X doesn't want to lose a teammate for his own game. Xavier is hoping that Whitney will be the target, not Hannah. Christian tells them that his own target would be Whitney. SarahBeth is not happy but is willing to stop pushing for a Hannah exit.

On a side note: The strange faces Hannah makes are distracting.

Xavier considers Whitney a friend even though he wants to stay loyal to the Cookout alliance and give her the boot. Xavier tells Whitney he heard she said his name as a possible target with the Kings (his team). She denies it.

Whitney head to HOH to confront Christian. He tells her that her name was indeed brought up. We see an older clip of Derek F saying that.

A segment on Christian doing flips in the backyard. He is impressive. Britini thinks his abilities will put him on the nomination list.

Whitney is giving Xavier a too sexy massage. Azah tells us maybe she's petty but finds it disturbing. You're not petty, Azah. Xavier tells us that he's Operation Nomance after Azah comes to talk to him about it.

Whitney then approaches Derek X who tells her he had no clue what the noms were going to be. He tells us he wants both Hannah and Whitney safe. He feels he would have to win the veto. (But how could he guarantee the person he wants would go up?) Hannah wants Derek X to win. He tells us he would have to save Hannah if he wins the veto. Alyssa tells him that Whitney is the target, Hannah the "clear pawn."

They have to clean although I have to say many other seasons have had messier hamsters.

Time to pick players for the Veto Comp. Christian draws Claire. Hannah draws Houseguest's Choice and goes for Derek X. Whitney draws Azah. Tiffany and Hannah quickly note that SarahBeth was so upset that she was not picked to play for the veto. Tiffany plants the seed to Hannah that SarahBeth needs to be targeted by her (Hannah).

Time for the veto comp! It's athletic. Volleyball nets -- They have to run back and forth playing against themselves rolling the volleyball up a ramp and running to catch it on the other side. First person to 100 points wins. Alyssa hosts. The score resets to zero and they have to start all over again if they drop a ball.

CHRISTIAN WINS THE POWER OF VETO ... despite a valiant effort by Derek X, his only real competition in the competition.

Whitney walked in and heard Derek X saying something which makes it clear that she (Whitney) is the target for eviction. Whitney thinks she can use it for ammunition to get herself off the block and get him evicted.

Whitney talks to Christian to try to convince him that Derek X should be backdoored. She thinks Derek is Christian's biggest competition. The edit of Christian in the Diary Room makes it seem like he is considering it.

Time for the veto meeting ... Christian does NOT use the veto. Hannah and Whitney remain on the block.

BB23: Live Feeds into Wednesday Morning - August 4

Did aliens invade the house?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Masked Marauders:

  • Welcome to the all mask all the time live feeds report!
  • No, they didn't have them on all day.
  • It's just that all my screen caps are the facial masks.
  • I'm silly like that.
  • Besides, not too much of consequence otherwise went down in the house.
  • Despite her seduction attempts, Whitney remains the target and we'll probably be seeing a house vote again.
  • Perhaps not unanimous but a house vote nonetheless.
  • There was plenty of scheming and "if ____ wins HOH" talk going on.
  • Tiffany has now taken Hannah under her wing and seems to be willing to have Hannah take a shot at Claire.
  • Yet she still has a final two deal with Claire and they are working together.
  • Now, Claire is good at the game. But will she catch on that Tiffany is cut-throat enough to scheme against her?
  • Although it's been three men out in a row and now we'll have the first female, the girls are realizing that the men are winning the comps.
  • Well, not Derek F.
  • The other men.
  • with all the scheming, this crowd is one of the first in years that really seem to like each other.
  • Azah injured her leg in the veto comp and, of course, Tiffany took that opportunity to work her mojo with her.
  • Tiffany told Azah that she considered Hannah a full-fledged member of the Cookout. Azah and most (if not all) consider her sort of a peripheral member. Hannah didn't even know it had a name until someone (I forget ... Xavier?) let it slip.
  • So, Tiffany is trying to get more acceptance of Hannah -- not for this week against Whitney as that won't be an issue -- for a soldier in her own game.
  • As I said, cut-throat player. But very good.
  • I can't recall a house past maybe the first year that gathered together each night and did something. Other seasons it happened on and off. But this house doesn't miss a night of gathering whether it be the Big Blue Couch Show, a nightclub night or an evening of facials.
  • Overall, the intelligence factor has changed as well. When I hear a Derek X referring to the pandemic as "dystopian" I can see some lingual hope for the younger generation.
  • That said, all the alliances are driving me bonkers. I can't keep up.
  • Now Christian and Britini have a final two deal.
  • So, Christian went to Alyssa and told her.
  • I thought they had a final two deal!
  • Darn. And people talked about Tyler and all of his final twos! I think everyone in the house this season has multiple final two deals!
  • It kind of cheapens the whole thing.
  • Oh, well. They don't know teams will be ending, probably this week.
  • Like on Survivor, I'm sure some will retain the team loyalty.
  • But the Cookout may trump that loyalty.
  • Whatever happens down the line, I still predict that Derek F will be the first one out of the HOH endurance comp this week.
  • Heh.
  • They also have no clue that's coming. Most have been studying days.

The red looked like crazed hunters with smeared blood.

Is she applying a facial or giving a lap dance?

Facial diversity

Yes, that's Azah. Really. Just a bit scary.

Alyssa should have color-coordinated
her clothes with the mask.
