<--- Mike "Boogie" Malin, a legend in his own mind. I snagged this screen capture from the feeds a bit earlier and kept thinking he looked like an ant or a fly. He is SO not the man of MY dreams!
Today got off to a slow start in the house due to the houseguests once again being up for most of the night. But I feel that now I've gathered enough newsworthy things to make up an entry, so I'm giving it a shot.
Here are the events of Sunday so far in that Big Brother House of a POV Queen and Her Master Manipulator... and The Jealous Ones Who Live With Them:
- Will told Janelle that her friends would probably advise her not to be friends with him because he plays people. She told him she likes him anyway and that she'll stick with him. He went on to tell her she's affected his game because he likes to play without emotion and he can't when she's in the game. [Editor's note: Mr. Silver Tongue Say The Right Thing At The Right Time strikes again.]
- Janelle and Will slept together, but no hanky-panky ensued.
- BB tried to wake everyone up around 12:30, the crack of afternoon.
- Will told Erika that he feels sorry for Erika because she's going to be worried all day. Janelle told him she planned to tell her (her choice to save) today.
- After taking on George's housecleaning role for the last few days, Erika declared to Mike that she was no longer going to clean for everyone.
- Mike and Erika talked for some time while Janelle and Will stayed abed. Erika is pretty sure she'll be leaving and Mike told her he thinks that the final two will indeed be Janelle and Will. They went over who would vote for whom in the jury and think Janelle might win it all.
- Mike told Erika it would be "awesome" if the finale is moved up a week because he doesn't want to be in a boring house with Janelle and Will for a week. [Editor's note: Be careful what you wish for, Boogie. That's $2,000 less for you!]
- Erika thinks that Will's girlfriend has probably left him by now.
- Mike went on about how good things always go for Will - he's handsome, smart, women like him, he seems like he can do no wrong... and he will win BB7 over himself (Mike).
- Erika told Mike that Will would surely win over him with the jury votes.
- Will pointed out the differences between Mike's showmance and his own to Janelle. He told Janelle that Mike thinks Erika is "kinda creeepy" while he honestly likes Janelle and they're friends. Janelle thinks that Mike is just getting tired of Erika.
There. That's it.

Erika and Mike are out by the pool and Mike just asked her if she has ever done swimsuit modelling. Oy - she certianly wears it enough - she should get paid for it!!

I think it's funny that Will/Janie are talking about their relationship and what will happen outside the house while Mike/Erika are slammin on the other couple. Mike/Erika are two of the most bitter people I've ever seen and they were meant for eachother!! Isn't Will supposed to be Mike's best friend?? Last night I almost felt sorry for Erika, but at her age she should know so much better!! She really is a "Scrubika"!!
It's so funny because on the live feeds Mike and Erika are talking strategy on how Mike and Will could beat her in the 3 part HOH. Mike and Erika are such wimps. They are so intimidated by Janelle and are trying to strategize over how to make sure and beat her.
What orkmommy said! At this point I just want both of those to people out of the game I wish so bad that Mike wasn't HOH so it could be HIM going next!
Will is continuing to play the game. His "A" game is on now. He must convince Janelle that he really really really likes her...(pluuuueeese!) Otherwise she is on to him and she votes him out. Will needs Janelle to BELIEVE that they truly have something "special" or he is out! Game on!

Erika is badmouthing Janelle and saying that how "I've never seen anything that bad in my life in how bad she (Janie) has it for Will. I'm like oh my God." Boogie also trashing Janie and Will. Saying how Will will be nice to Janie but nothing more than that. That Janie will go back to Miami and Will to Erin. Now Erika is flat out overplaying how much Janelle told her about Janie's infatuation for Will. Ugh!! Throw that skank Erika out already! And Mike is such a whiney butt, too!! He says that the viewers don't see her as the girl next door but as a bad ass competitor. That it makes it even more impressive that Will cracked Janie. I love Erika talking so big like she's been such a playa when she was just a hanger on groupee!
Wake up already, Will and Janie. Mike and Scrubrika are booooring to watch!
Erika told Boogie that Janell is easily manipulated by guys and she will be upset once she sees how Will has played her.
Hmmm....could say the say thing about Erika, just replace Boogie for Will. I guess "it takes one to know one."

Yeah,Mike looks like a fly with those ocular diverse fly-glasses in the graphic. If you squint your eyes just right, his appearance takes on one of a vulture, complete with the long flesh eating beak. I better stop now, I'm getting to personal with his part in the grand scheme of life.
I would, if I could, do anything to divert or discourage a T.V. relationship. It would open up a door of spoof that would be egregious to a good relationship. But I'm sure the producers are encouraging them (Will & Janelle). Again, I would hope that character would be maintained in integrity between the two.
He is a great actor if he doesn't really have any feeling for her at all.
I totally think Will likes Janie, and he is putting on a show pretending to be playing her.....
I'm totally sucked into the soap opera that is WINNELLE and I' totally disgusted by the whiney/rant that is BOOGIKA... actually, I think I'm ready for this season to be over... How about some nice fresh STRANGERS for next year?? Robin in Manchester

anonymous @ 6:15 - I think Will likes having Janelle in the game and enjoys their "flirtmance," walks in the yard, card games, and story telling.
It seems at times he has genuine feelings for her and their body language indicates there is something there but I don't think he "likes" her in the way that Janelle "likes" him.
Personally, I think they would not be a couple outside the house - friends perhaps, but not a couple.
But then again the puppetmaster may have me fooled.
Here's my BB Fairie Tale...
Queen Janie evicts the Evil Witch Erika on Tuesday. She then wins the all important HOH and is able to rule the land.
Queen Janie realizes that Wizard Will hasn't been advising her with the Queen's best interests in mind. She kicks him to the curb and takes Boogie the Troll to the final 2.
The loyal subjects see fit to give the grand prize to their faithful Queen in a uninamous vote! Boogie the Troll is stunned because he thought he was the most popular troll in all the land!!! He slinks back to the swamp from which he came vowing vengance!!
(Ok...I know it's a bit much...what with the faithful subjects and all, but it is a Fairie Tale)

I really would LOVE to see Janie win POV and take Mike to the final! It would be a tough coupla days in the house for her with only him for company, but it would be worth it!
The only jury votes I can even remotely see him getting would be from Will and Scarika. With that said, I hope both of them would vote for the best player. Mike is definitly NOT the best player in that scenario. Even if Will votes for Janie, he can schmooze Mike and make him realize Janie was the best choice.
Can't wait to see Mike's face when Janie kicks his bootie! That will be fun night on TV for me. I may even tape it so I can watch it over and over and over and over and over!

Janie should be up by now with her ears burning as much as Erika keeps bashing her. Boy is she jealous of her! Seeing her in the pool in her bikini now lets me know what a skeleton with boob implants would look like.
It is amusing listening to Mike and Erika convince themselves that they could be Janelle in the final two.
I think Janelle has been a class act in this game; she really has not bashed anyone even though she has received quite the bashing herself....

Yes, I do honestly believe Will has feelings for Janelle. I think he is fighting them and wants to pretend he doesn't because he doesn't want to hurt his girlfriend but you can tell he really cares for her. I don't think they would make it outside of the house as a couple though. They are cute to watch...

I am not a fan of Mike by any means, however I was alittle offended for him from your comment re: the pic of him looking like an ant or a fly. No one can help the way they are born, ie their features...he's just trying to do the best w/ what he was delt with. Bless his heart!

i think janelle genuinely likes will and vice wersa for will. Will is trying to be a standup guy saying his "morals" won't let him be with Janelle while erin is still in the pic. If he knew erin waas out of the picture i bet those bed sharing nights might have been a lot different.

But being in that situation(the bb house) for so long can make you do things you wouldn't normally do, or maybe feel things you wouldn't normally feel. At least Will is being up front with Janelle about the Erin thing.

I think Will really likes Janelle but didn't expect to and doesn't want to. Girlfriend or not,he's protesting way too much--when someone repeatedly talks about how much they DON'T want someone, you can be sure that that person is who they want most of all. (I'm in my sixties, and I've never seen this fail.) Plus Will's body language is a dead giveaway.
As to a relationship outside the house, maybe Janelle's head will clear once BB is over. I hope she has far better sense than to get involved with Will.

I've stated more than a few times that tonight's show is taped. I expect we'll see Mike's HOH Comp, the POV Comp. The POV Ceremony will most likely be tomorrow night - that's where Janelle will announce her decision to save herself. The live eviction will be Tuesday.
What was up with this? Janelle and Will spent 12+ hours sleeping in the same bed, then they get up and each go into the store room separately and they immediately hug.
I wonder what the lockdown is for....

Okay...again...I guess people aren't hearing what I'm saying...or maybe I wasn't saying it well but either way, maybe I can make myself clearer...
What I mean by "scripted" is not that they have lines to memorize like a regular TV show. They have roles that they are asked to play. For example, the Will/Janelle showmance is manufactured by BB. They tell the HG's you are in the role of "the evil lying doctor," you are in the role of the "competitive buxom blonde," you are in the role of "the frat brother who is a womanizer" etc. And even before the live evictions, they offer incentives to vote a certain way. More $$$, prizes, trips, items, etc. if they vote a certain way. I'm not saying there is an exact "script" but it is "scripted" in that it's not all "drop people off in a house with cameras and see what they'll do on their own." They ARE influenced by producers to behave/vote a certain way. And as far as "live shows" or evictions go...the producers have long ago already stated who they'd like to see in the final two...just vote out someone else that doesn't matter. Will and Janelle are the most popular players...mark my words...it will be them in the final two...I KNOW.
And whether or not you believe me is up to you...but I DO have an inside view of BB. I married one of the show's producers.

But that Boogie won't be happy getting third place. That if it came down to that he told Will that he's won it before and that he'd need to step aside so Boogie can go against Janelle in the final 2. He told Will that he knows that either he or Will could beat Janelle but that he wants to be in the final 2. Will basically agreed to that but told him don't worry we'll make it to the end.

She gets drunk and her real side comes out. She has called Dani "a spade" and used other discriminating terms to refer to people. She acts so sweet but when she has a few drinks her true side comes out and it is very very ugly. She is not the girl everyone thinks she is and does not deserve to win.
I liked her last year but then again we never saw her true side as much as we have seen it this week. She is pure EVIL.

Doubtful that Will and Janelle will be friends after she views the shows and feeds. That is to be expected. However the friendship between Will and Boogie may not survive BB7 if Will doesn't "step aside" for Boogie as Boogie expects. Doubtful that Wily Will would give up a half mil for friendship. And truly, a good friend wouldn't expect you to.
The only bad thing about the show being this far into the season is that I can't stand watching two of the four people in the house. The producers only have so much they can show and unfortunately more than half of that has Mike Boogie in it. I'm so ready to NEVER see him again!
Anon @ 8:57 - You're free not to like her, but I've watched her on live feeds for two seasons now. I never saw her display any sort of racial slurs, nor did I hear her ever call Danielle a "spade." Nor have I seen it in any reports elsewhere.
If you have some actual reference for this, please post it. Otherwise, I'll just go with you being outrageous without basis because you don't care for her in the game.

I have never liked Evil Dr. Will. I was rooting for Chicken George from the beginning. However watching Will play the game....He is Thee Master Manipulator. Unbelievable! He is trly someone you love to hate. I think Will is a man lacking all character and integrity. But I must give him this... he has outwit, outlasted and outplayed everyone (including sleezebag Boogie). He could sell ice cream to an eskimo! He unfortunately deserves to win BB7. I agree Janelle is not the girl she is portraying. The act of the season has not been her game playing the audience playing. She acts so cute and sweet but is really a vicous wench. Don't care for her at all. I would hate to see this terrible girl win any money. She is not nice.
The only thing that could make this BB7 better is if Janelle is playing Dr. Will and boots his butt Tuesday night. Then Janelle (not Will) will be Thee Master Manipulator.
I am of course dreaming because I really don't think Janelle is that bright. I really hope she surprises me. Anyone else?

I agree w/your post re: Janelle.
Never, EVER have I seen her use a racial slur or even hint at having racist views. Rather, it's been exactly the OPPOSITE.
She and Marcie were closerthanthis before Will & Boogie started in with their mind games and lying about Marcie taking the prizes and then not fessing up to doing so. (Of course he did not need to admit to taking the loot--he didn't do it!)
In fairness to Janelle and to keep the specter of race from being inserted into the game at this point, please consider removing that post. No need to incite feelings that are not there with NO EVIDENCE whatsoever to support such claims.

Boogie, Will and Erika looked directly in the cameras and said something like we didn't say that we don't believe that way. She then said something else that I can't remember that was very nasty and prejudice and the other group of 3 again yelled BB we don't agree with that and didn't say that.
She did make these comments and she was very very drunk if I remember. It is true.

About Will really liking Janelle- I didn't think he did before, but when they did the gnome-pie in face HOH comp, did anyone see how when Boog won Will went over to Jani and was gently wiping her face off? I thought that was sweet. Now if that is an act, he really does deserve the money.

I have seen Janelle cuss, I've heard her call others names behind their backs. She isn't an angel. But, after watching her on the feeds for two seasons, one thing I'd say she certainly isn't is a racist.
Sometimes when folks don't like someone on a show, any little thing said can all of a sudden take on a different meaning out of context.
Sorry, saying "a spade is a spade" isn't racist. She could have said that about anybody regardless of their race. The phrase actually goes back much further than anyone realizes. Here's a quote from The Phrase Finder:

I actually feel sorry for Erika at this point. When she leaves this week and later sees all the footage of Boogie playing her, I have a feeling she'll end up needing years of therapy.
I thought Erika told Janelle that she would never date Mike outside the house? What is all this talk about "their future"? Is she still playing the game (I hope) or is she serious?
I don't think the term is appropriate to use especially referring to Danielle. It was very inappropriate and no matter what meaning Jani had using it, it could be construed very badly and could be taken as a racial slur.
Was this her real meaning or not? Who knows but it does cast doubt on some of her behavior to date and with drinking was she more "free" to say what she really feels. Interesting.

We had a similiar "discussion" (full blown fisticuffs in truth) over another expression from one chatter to another "Have not seen you in a coon's age" when someone entered chat that had not been in in some time.
Some people were highly offened crying "RACE HATER, PREJUDICE, etc. when there was NO SUCH INTENT made with that old-time saying very common in the South referring to RACOON's!
It just affirms the necessity of being very careful and giving the benefit of the doubt as to what someone really means before accusing them of any Racial bigotry!

Those are NOT racial slurs - anyone who plays cards know what it all means - this was explained in regards to having a black heart - which is a person who is cold-hearted non-caring in other words back in the day were referred to a clock ticking not a real human heart - then you red hearts, purple hearts or for that matter to have a heart of gold... pick your cards how you live your life..this was a big saying prior the millennium - short of preaching.

Everyone, on the "other blog" that Jackie gave us info. about yesterday in case she wasn't around when the POV winner was announced, I just checked it and Will is telling Janelle stories about bad things Mike did to some of her friends before they were evicted. He is saying it like he is just telling more of his stories, but, they all have similar themes... Mike did this to Howie (behind his back); Mike did this to Marcellis (behind his back). Janelle does not sound happy. My point is does this sound like someone who will "step aside" for the sake of his 'friendship'?
Also, it sounds like that was a promise Will made to Mike before coming in the house because Will already one. He is outrageous! He liked to Mike, he is lying to Janelle and anyone else who will listen to him for more than 5 seconds. Sounds like Dr. Will is laying the ground work for Janelle to give Mike the royal boot if she wins HOH. Either way, Will is planning on going to the final two and I don't think he cares to take Mike along for this ride.

History of "coon's age" expression:
I was not aware that raccoons have unusually long lives. Why does the phrase coon's age mean "once in a blue moon"? I understand that a blue moon is an actual occurrence, and there is a long period between blue moons.
A coon's age does indeed mean "a long time". Some etymologists claim that people mistakenly thought that raccoons lived for a very long time, and that is how the phrase arose. Anon @ 10:00 - Jokers Updates is much more than a blog. They have 'round the clock volunteers posting feeds minute by minute and an actual budget! ;-) It's more of a full-blown site than my own little dog-and-pony show. I'll be posting on those events when I put up my next entry a bit later tonight. I wanted to get the recap folks asked for out of the way first.
As for those who think I should delete the comment that falsely accused Janelle of being prejudiced - I seriously considered it. However, with the responses based on fact and reason, I'll let it stand. It's obviously that person's singular interpretation of Janelle based on his or her own perception or prejudices.
If anon at 9:12 wants to call Janelle a "vicious" wench she should learn how to spell. "Nice" is a much easier word to spell and Janelle has presented herself as a nice person on both the feeds and live show for two seasons. Nice, not perfect...and how many of us can claim to be that? I think the real point is that we don't "know" any of these people and therefore should resist the temptation to disparage them as people rather than comment on their game abilities or lack thereof.
I think Will wants to PRETEND he is playing Janie, but he has fallen for her big time. I think he might have quite the dilemma with Erin once he leaves the house.
I DO give will credit though. He has tried to be faithful to Erin and has not crossed any physical boundaries. He has tried his best to resist

Wouldn't Janey be HAPPY he took the prizes? IT meant he went against Dani to try to save Janey that week? Janey would be happy he took stuff because it helped her win that contest, right?
Also, perhaps Will telling Janey the bad things mike has done is to help SAVE Mike. If she thinks Mike dissed all these people, she is more likely to keep him thinking she can beat him in the final 2.
I hope Will and Mike stick together. They are the only pair to stick it out and I'd be disappointed if they sold each other out at this point

kac - I was so tied up in BB that I hadn't heard that. Sad news indeed. I always got a kick out of Steve Irwin - he was always so positive and excited about the animals. Sigh.
fsTo all the people saying Janelle is mean, cold hearted etc..., this goes for all the players, THIS IS A GAME! It is about lies, deciet, and getting to the final 2 and becoming the winner. If these people were not playing the game this way, WE would not be addicted to the show. Blogging, watching live feeds etc... We hate but enjoy these charaters and we know it. I dont care who wins, would I like to see Janelle win, yeah! I couldnt stand her, but she is SMART and has played with sheer brilliance. I think we need to get a life!
