Big Brother: BB24 Cast Hamsters Part 1

Okay, they're finally revealed, those pesky new hamsters. They are all new -- no returning players, yay! Once again, they are almost all but one quite young. I notice a 47-year-old in the mix. We'll just have to see how he fits in. I'm finding out what I can about them and letting y'all in on my finds. There is a 41-year-old woman. Will she be honest about her age? She could pass for younger. The man not so much.

So far, I'm not finding out much.

Brittany Hoopes is originally from Atlanta but currently resides in Austin, Texas. She has an LLC named Brittany Hoopes Hypnosis incorporated just in March of this year. I'm wondering if her hypnosis skills might be in use in the house. That could be very interesting! She claims to have watched every season and is a superfan.

Update: She's a competitive belly-dancer? Oh my. Parade bio link -- she talks a lot in it.

Daniel Durston is from Ontario, California but currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although you certainly can't tell it from the photo here, he's an Elvis impersonator. He has a website with his Las Vegas Elvis Stuff <--- click on the link, I swear it's safe! He's actually pretty good. Here's a link to performance videos.

His Parade bio -- he also talks a lot.

Indy Santos is originally from São Paulo, Brazil but is now living in Los Angeles, California. I would venture a guess that she's probably fluent in Portuguese. But other than that, I'm not getting much on her.

Her Parade bio. She will vote with the house. Boo hiss.

Marvin Achi is yet another hamster CBS has made a bit confusing. While he's originally from Rivers State, Nigeria, that is not where he currently lives. He lives in Houston, Texas. Interesting ... he was on Season 17 of America's Got Talent. The Wiki for that is here at this link. His talent was beaker-related, so don't get too excited. He also has a work-out related YouTube channel here at this link. Will he be a comp beast? Hmm.
Update - his Parade bio. Seems like he focuses on his physical being. Hmm.
REPLACED, WILL NOT BE ON THE SHOW

Matt "Turner" Turner apparently prefers to be called Turner. Okay. In my search I found there is a quite popular soccer player named Matt Turner. That's not him. His town is listed at North Attleborough, Massachusetts but he currently lives in New Bedford, Mass. In my search for the skinny on him, I found there are several thrift stores in New Bedford. So, if you're looking for bargains, you might want to head there.
Update: his Parade bio. He talks a lot and thinks he will be running the game. @@

Jasmine Davis is originally from Terry, Mississippi, now resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Now, IF the Jasmine Davis in Atlanta is the one I'm finding online, she owns/runs (whatever) a beauty salon business and received one of those PPP loans (20K) back in 2021. That would be understandable as those businesses did have to shut down If that's her, that is. I think it is. There is also a realtor with the same name. But I don't think of that as real entrepreneur-type job.
Update: Her Parade bio. Another house voter, gah.

More in a bit ...

Just picked up some dirt on Turner ... this is his sister, verified as he did work for Mr. Beast on YouTube -- read the whole thread of tweets by her. Oh my.

Big Brother: BB24 -- Finally a Cast Reveal

Big Brother: BB24 Blog Pool OPENS!

WHO WANTS TO JUMP INTO THE BLOG POOL?

What's it all about?

Our esteemed and accomplished Lifeguard SueGee (AKA SqueeGee) will randomly match up pool entrants with the hamsters in the habitrail. Once matched up with a hamster, you need to cheer that one on until they're evicted or win it all. Yeah, even if they're obnoxious. Deal with it! Of course, we won't have the cast reveal until the day before the season starts, but the pool can be opened without them! Bwahaha!

What will I win?

Well, IF you win, you'll be pleased to know there is NO CASH PRIZE! Nuh-uh. No way. That would cheapen the whole thing, don't ya think? Instead of paltry prizes, you get BRAGGING RIGHTS. Yep! From now through all eternity, YOU will be a blog pool winner here. Feel free (and I encourage it) to put your win in your sign-off signature so that everyone can oooh and ahhh. Can't you hear the crowd now?

How do I get in on this wild action?!?!

You just need to sign up in the comments of THIS POST ONLY. If you put your name in on another post or Facebook or Twitter, it might be missed. If you come here as anonymous, you must come up with some sort of name in your comment. Otherwise, we can't tell the anonymous folks apart. Well, except for the unruly ones, maybe.

When is the deadline for joining the pool?

The deadline for signing up is Friday, July 8, at NOON Pacific Time (that's 3pm ET). Don't put it off! Sign up TODAY! No stragglers!

Big Brother: BB24 STUFF

Yes, I do still exist. I'm still in a wheelchair these days. But I think the hospital stays are over. I apologize for my absence, but this has been a rough road. Anyway ... the show itself seems to be a bit on an odd path as well.

  • It will be one of the shortest seasons, if not the shortest, at 74 days. I believe only the winter season during that writers' strike was shorter. The finale is set for September 28.
  • There has been no house tour or cast reveal as of yet, four days before the show.
  • The cast reveal is set for Tuesday, the day before the premiere.
  • There has been no mention of a house tour.
  • Julie Chen-Moonves remains the hostess.
  • The schedule remains the same as previous years with the the exception of a live move-in 90-minute premiere --   Sunday 8PM ET/PT, Wednesday 8PM ET/PT, and Thursday nights 9PM ET/PT.
  • The live feeds should be starting after the premiere finishes airing on the West Coast. But don't hold me to that. The Live Feeds have an announcement posted that they will begin at 12:30AM ET on July 7. Can we trust them after last year's erroneous announcements? Hmm.
  • I will be doing a live-blogging blog party post for the season premiere at 8PM ET on Wednesday, July 6.
  • If people want it, I can set up a discussion post for The Challenge which airs at 9:30PM ET after BB. I won't be live-blogging that show but probably will make some commentary.
  • As usual, I will be covering the live feeds. Since they will start so late here on the East Coast, my first live feeds report probably won't be until Thursday morning.
  • There will be a blog pool and I will set up a sign-up post specifically for it. Don't ask to get in it on this post! The actual blog pool put together (by the esteemed SueGee) will be later than usual due to the very late cast reveal.
That's all for now.

Survivor 42: April 27 Episode Blog Gathering

I realize I've let you all down this season and I apologize. I am still a bit lost on the show having missed its first few episodes and only seeing parts of others. However, I should recover enough to handle Big Brother when it comes around.

Survivor 42: April 20 Episode Blog Gathering

Yep, I still don't know what's going on so much on the show. I did watch the two hour show last week. However, I'm still no good on names or what's gone down in the past.

Healthwise, slow but sure, I guess. I've become pretty decent with the wheelchair.

Survivor 42: April 13 Episode Blog Party

I am home now. However, between my health issues and the fact that I remain mostly clueless about this season, it will be a loss for me. I hope my health is back on track for BB.

I cannot blog the show  but here is a place for you to gather.

No pool this season unless you all can coordinate and run it in comments. Very little internet as well as very bad health here. I cannot do well on a phone with real spotty wifi.

The Amazing Race 33: February 23 Episode Blog Party

Although we're beginning the show with only four teams still in it, it doesn't seem that this is the penultimate episode of the season. They still haven't announced the finale date. Hmm.

I will be live-blogging the show as it airs here on the East Coast, constantly updating this post with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

But, first ... Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool. Here's where we stand:

Kim & Penn -- chrob61, Donna in AL, Jennifer
Raquel & Cayla -- Brenda, Skyriverblue, Marlo L
Dusty & Ryan -- Mike Barer, Willie J, PDX Granny
Arun & Natalia -- Glenn, Jennasmom

Philiminated
Mike & Moe
Akbar & Sheri
Lulu & Lala

Teams ready? Let's go!

We get a recap. Of course.

They get to stay in Greece and choose their hotel on Travelocity.

Teams will be driving 30 miles north to the next clue. Raquel/Cayla and Kim/Penn leave with their 15-minute time advantage. The second two teams leave together, no third group this week.

Roadblock - Kim/Penn there first. Search leaving no stone unturned. Must find one of four gold coins hidden under rocks. The other teams seem to be a bit lost trying to find the site.

Raquel/Cayla arrive, then Dusty/Ryan. Then Arun/Natalia.

Cayla found the first one! Find Socrates at a tower. Listen to his words of wisdom to get your next clue. Kim finally found one! Arun got one!

Socrates gives them a Detour --  Deliver 300 plates or break plates only when a band is playing until they find the clue to the next Pit Stop.

Both Cayla/Raquel and Kim/Penn choose breaking. Dusty finally found the gold coin after two teams were already checked in at the Pit Stop.

The girls finish breaking plates and are headed to the Pit Stop at White Tower.

Pit Stop

1. Raquel/Cayla - Trip to Hawaii

2. Kim/Penn (Phil tells them 3 departure times next leg, they will be in the second.)

Arun/Natalia got lost and now Dusty/Ryan are about even with them on the Detour task. Natalia gets the clue first. Both of the last teams are heading to the Pit Stop.

3. Arun/Natalia

4. Ryan/Dusty - Non-Philimination leg

Next week is the two-hour season finale.

Celebrity BB3: Season Finale Blog Party

Miesha
Todrick
Cynthia

Good evening! Here we are ... the season finale after several years, er, days in the house of "celebrities" most of whom might be considered that in very limited arenas. The final three aren't quite what I expected at the beginning. But, two out of the three don't surprise me at all now at the end of the season.

I haven't reported on the live feeds because it's been Todrick non-stop talking about himself and shuffling cards. There have been no spoilers coming from within the house.

On the other hand ... unlike regular BB which has its jurors sequestered and even monitored to quell discussions of the hamsters, CBB lets them out into the world. And, to social media. LOTS of stuff has gone down on Twitter.

Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool for the final time and here's where we stand:

Cynthia Bailey: Indiana Jane, Glenn Allen
Todrick Hall: Chrob61, Monty 924
Miesha Tate: David, Sharon N.

Evicted
Teddi Mellencamp
Mirai Nagasu
Chris Kattan (self-evicted)
Chris Kirkpatrick
Shanna Moakley
Carson Kressley
Lamar Odum
Todd Bridges

I will be live-blogging the show, regularly updating this entry with the major happenings as they air here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Are you ready?

Julie is dressed in a dress with a diagonal hem. Okay. Previously on is on ...

Into after Todd was evicted. Miesha thinks it will be Todrick and herself in the final two. Todrick confesses to Cynthia that he's BB superfan. That's actually the only reason I "knew" Todrick -- not as a celebrity, but as the guy who invited BB23 hamsters to his house. It was all over Twitter.

Todrick works on Cynthia to take him to the final two if that needs to happen.

The HOH screen shot has them in booths in a snowy scene.

Shout Out - 7 short videos former HG - three statements, one false.

1. Cynthia, Miesha each 1 point.
2. Miesha 1 point
3. Todrick, Miesha each 1 point
4. None got it
5. All wrong
6. All wrong again

No need to go on as no one can win except Miesha. Miesha is the final HOH!

To the living room and Miesha's decision.

Cynthia - Ride amazing, already feel like I won. Played with loyalty, proud of you both.

Todrick - Time of my life with you as my ride or die. You're incredible. Etc.

Miesha evicts Cynthia, no surprise there.

Text 21523 America Votes in case of a tie breaker starting now. Either Miesha or Todrick.

To the jury -- Carson apologizes to Shanna. Cynthia comes out as Juror 08.

To the final two and why they should win.

Miesha - Didn't prepare a lot. Planned to beast competitions. Wanted to play with integrity. Thank you.

Todrick - Game plan was to lay low. Blood on his hands each week. Cookout inspired him. Love the game. Not based on how many comps you win. Never on the block. Want to make art for my community.

The voting --

Teddi - Wizard of Oz, we can see behind the curtain
Mirai - Appreciation for competition winning
Chris - Integrity for my son
Shanna - Will never have to hear your voice again
Carson - The one who worked it harder
Lamar - Got a tattoo, going with the person who resembles that mentality
Todd - Refers to the live feeds and talking trash about people who were gone.
Cynthia - Vote for the person who helped me navigate how the show works.

Chris Kattan arrives but did not vote.

The votes -

Cynthia - Todrick
Todd - Miesha
Lamar - Miesha
Carson - Miesha
Shanna - Miesha
Chris - Miesha

MEISHA WINS! The unread votes were also for Miesha.

America's Favorite - top three were Lamar, Carson and Shanna. CARSON wins!

Congratulations blog pool winners David and Sharon N!

Celebrity BB3: Live Double Eviction Show Blog Party - February 21

Ready for an action-packed two hour show? The Power of Veto comp leading into it all is taped. However, it seems the Veto Meeting itself will be live. Then there will be the first live eviction, an HoH comp, nominations, veto cycle, second live eviction. Then they will be down to three.

I will be live-blogging, updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool and here's where we stand:

Cynthia Bailey: Indiana Jane, Glenn Allen
Todd Bridges: Donna in Alabama, Jackie
Todrick Hall: Chrob61, Monty 924
Lamar Odum: Jennasmom, Marthalight
Miesha Tate: David, Sharon N.

Evicted
Teddi Mellencamp
Mirai Nagasu
Chris Kattan (self-evicted)
Chris Kirkpatrick
Shanna Moakley
Carson Kressley

Here we go!

Time for the veto comp! They are dressed in shiny race suits and helmets. The game is Celebrity Luge. Head to head in rounds. The winner of the round chooses the next two to compete.

Miesha goes against Cynthia first. Cynthia eliminated.

Miesha picks Todd and Todrick as the next players. Todrick eliminated.

Miesha versus Lamar. Lamar eliminated. It's down to Todd and Miesha.

TODD wins the Power of Veto!

Cynthia is worried that she will end up being the renomination if Todd pulls himself down. I think she's probably right.

Todrick talks to Todd. Todd says he doesn't know -- one of them, Lamar or Cynthia, will have to go home. Todd tells him if he wins HOH, it will be Miesha and him on the block.

To the live veto meeting in the living room. Todd saves himself. Todrick puts Cynthia up in his place.

Time for the first eviction of the night!

Lamar - Beautiful experience, love you, let the chips fall where they may.

Cynthia - Made it to the final five, proud, thank you, love all.

Votes to evict:
Miesha - Lamar
Todd - Cynthia

Todd deliberately goes for the tie, forcing Todrick to do the dirty deed. He votes Lamar out. Lamar goes out classy. He tells Julie that Todd has been sober 33 years and will be his sober coach.

Julie calls them all into the living room. She tells them about the double eviction. Reminder -- to vote for favorite player, text their name to 21523.

Time for the HoH comp! Winter theme, of course. The three competitors are in booths. Todrick cannot compete. BB Flicks. Choose correct movie poster one point each round. Must be first right answer based on video.

1. Todd one point
2. Todd one point
3. Miesha one point
4. Cynthia one point
5. Cynthia one point
6. Miesha one point
7. Miesha one point

Miesha wins HOH!

To the living room for the live nominations. Todd and Cynthia are nominated.

Everyone plays for the veto. Frozen in Time. It's one of those roll a ball down icicle ramp into the Day Number ramp for the correct answer to Julie's questions.

1. Shana second veto comp win. Miesha and Todrick points.
2. First veto comp Schedule SNAFU played. Todrick point.
3. Carson evicted. Todrick, Cynthia points.
4. Gala gift opened. Miesha and Todrick points.
5. Celebrity Endorsement Comp. Todd point.
6. Video of Kaito in hot tub. Miesha point.
7. PoV first used to take someone down. Todrick point.
8. Angry Glam Squad comp. Miesha point.
9. Chris Kirk win a comp. Miesha point
Go to tiebreaker for Miesha and Todrick.

MIESHA wins the Power of Veto! She leaves the nominations the same. Duh! Todrick will be the only vote tonight.

The live vote/eviction --

Cynthia - Praises to Miesha and Todrick. Whatever you do is fine.

Todd - Praises Todrick's game as best in house.

Todrick votes Todd out after saying kind words about him. He mentioned he had promised Carson he would protect Cynthia the best he could.

If there is a tie tomorrow night, America will cast the tiebreaker.

Celebrity BB3: HoH Comp, Nominations Show Blog Party - Feb. 20

Good evening! My apologies for not live-blogging last night. I swear between the live feeds, the two-hour episodes and the two-hour combination Amazing Race/CelebBB3, they're trying to kill me. At this time I have very painful conditions in my back, right leg and right foot. The position I live-blog in so I can see my television and computer monitor doesn't allow me to elevate the leg/foot. I did watch the show last night and liked its content. But it would have been a tough one to blog, so I'm glad I didn't attempt it.

I also just posted a live feeds report today. There has been some action on that front but I ask no one post spoilers here.

But, anyway ... I'm here tonight. I will live blog, updating regularly the major events, as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments section. I hope to see you there!

Previously on ... the Toddfather?

Todrick put off answering the deal that Carson and Cynthia offered, then told him he's going. Cynthia knows she has to find someone to work with. She approaches Lamar to see if she can get him in her camp. Todd implied to Todrick that even if he (Todrick) got to the final two with Miesha, he wouldn't win. Lamar, Todd and Cynthia confirm it will be Miesha and Todrick on the block if any of the three win HOH.

HoH Time --  BB Art Museum has some fakes mixed in. Six original pieces of art throughout the house. One on Memory Wall is a forgery.

Round 1 - Cynthia eliminated - wrong art

Round 2 - Lamar eliminated - too slow, he actually spotted it first!

Round 3 - TODRICK IS THE NEW HOH!

We see Todrick's HOH room and he reads a wonderful letter from her. On a sidenote, it's nice to have an HOH room that I don't have to lighten up screen caps because it's so dark.

Todrick is planning a really extra nominations ceremony. In an overly dramatic presentation he first nominates Lamar, then Todd. Lamar is a troublemaker. Todd, we share part of our name and have reached the maximum Todd capacity.

Celebrity BB3: Live Feeds Catch Up, Power of Veto - Feb. 20

Still a sneaky snake

This is a rather abbreviated report but there are some things you need to know --

  • I told you Todrick won HOH.
  • (Boo, hiss)
  • He nominated Todd and Lamar.
  • He promised Cynthia he wouldn't put her on the block.
  • Lamar already ripped up a deck of Todrick's cards due to his constant card shuffling.
  • It's bad enough that the feeds cut out every few minutes without the constant sound of shuffling cards.
  • I want to rip up this deck.
  • Anyway ...
  • TODD won the Power of Veto.
  • Right now both Meisha and Todrick are trying to convince him not to use it, saying they want Lamar to go.
  • Todrick doesn't want to put Cynthia on the block.
  • If Todd does not save himself with the veto, they WILL vote him out.
  • I don't think he will fall for their attempts.
  • But weirder things have happened.
  • I believe the Veto Meeting will be live between the taped veto comp and live eviction on tomorrow's two-hour episode.

BB went all out at the dollar store

Celebrity BB3: Compilation Show Blog Party - Feb. 19

Good evening. I hate to do this to you, but I'm skipping out on tonight's compilation episode. I'm still having rather severe pain issues in addition to compilation episodes are like recapping a recap.

The comments section is open to any who wish to mingle!

Celebrity BB3: Live Feeds HOH Bulletin - Feb. 19

Just a few more days ...

They had a late night HOH comp blocked to the live feeds. Todrick is the new HOH. Whoopty-do.

Are we almost home yet?

Celebrity BB3: Taped Power of Veto, Live Eviction Show Blog Party - Feb. 18

We're getting down to the wire, folks. The Miesha/Todrick show is down to but a few days now. We have to get through two hours of show tonght, though.

As this is a show post and live feeders already know the outcome of the Power of Veto which will air taped on the show, I ask that no one posts spoilers in the comments until that airs.

Carson Kressley: Fred aka TwoBlackAces
Lamar Odum: Jennasmom, Marthalight
Miesha Tate: David, Sharon N.

Evicted
Teddi Mellencamp
Mirai Nagasu
Chris Kattan (self-evicted)
Chris Kirkpatrick
Shanna Moakley

Everyone settled in with snacks and beverages? Let's get this going!

Ah, Julie is in pink tonight. Sitting through Previously On ... We are promised Jerry O'Connell's insights on the season. Um. Okay.

Julie says some are trying to save their games while others are playing to win. Todd talks nicey-nice to Cynthia. It's obvious he hasn't even thought about Cynthia winning it.

All six will play in the veto comp. Lots of filler -- a nice long segment on Lalar. Cynthia and Carson praying.

Veto comp time! Winter wonderland. It looks a bit like a variation of OTEV. Seven rounds. Ego Veto. It's a bit of a three card monty. Which plane of three is he in?

!. Todd and Cynthia both get a point.

2. Todd, Miesha and Todrick right.

3. Todd, Miesha, Todrick and Cynthia right.

4. Miesha and Todrick right.

5. Carson, Miesha, Todrick and Cynthia right.

6. Todd, Miesha and Todrick right.

7. Todd and Miesha right.

MIESHA wins the Power of Veto!

Julie teases us with the thought of a bigger target emerging. Miesha keeps talking about how Lamar kept distracting her during the comp. Cynthia picks up on Miesha's irritation with Lamar.

Cynthia and Carson mix, mingle and schmooze. The show is wasting a lot of time acting like there may be a chance for Carson to stay.

Veto meeting time. Miesha does not use the veto. Carson tells us now they can spring into action. Um. Yeah. No.

Jerry O'Connell is sitting with Julie. He knows them all.

Time for the live eviction ... finally.

Carson - Thanks all. Super-fun. Won't change being myself.

Lamar - Talks of his children and new friends in life.

The votes to evict:

Miesha - Carson
Cynthia - Lamar
Todrick - Carson

Bye-bye Carson. He goes out classy, has a classy Julie interview and gets classy goodbye messages.

The final five will be treated with video messages from home.

How to vote for AFH - text houseguest's name to 21523

Celebrity BB3: Live Feeds into Thursday, PoV Winner - Feb. 17

Clueless about BB but very likable.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Currently Celibate Celebs:

  • To start off I would like to make note of a few differences between this and regular BB. A huge one is no slop. As a matter of fact these hamsters get pen and paper to submit food requests. I guess there are rules that the pen and paper can only be used for food requests. But BB NEVER gave out writing implements before. They also seem to have a fairly regular supply of alcohol.
  • Now, I'm not saying all of BB should be able to request foods or get a pen/paper to do so. But it's seriously time for slop to go away. People get grouchy. People get sick. Bring back the old food comps!
  • Saving Carson hinged on Cynthia winning veto.
  • She didn't.
  • It would have only bought a week anyway.
  • Unlike Todrick's nasty ways he used to personally target Shana, Todd's nominations have been done right.
  • Todd talked with Carson. Carson knows everyone except Cynthia wants him out. Carson understands that Todd did what he had to do to move his own game along.
  • It's so nice not to see the animosity even though I do love a good brouhaha.
  • Oh? Who won veto?
  • Miesha, of course.
  • At this time I'm pretty much satisfied with a win from anyone but Todrick. I feel he crossed a line.

Carson knows Todd did what he had to do.

They call that outside

Practicing her fisticuffs

Nominated Carson without nastiness or lies.
