BB19: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 16

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

PLEASE be respectful to your fellow commenters!

But first ... let's sit out this recap.

Elena doesn't feel totally safe, but knows Cody is a target. Cody knows it's a backdoor plan. Paul and Alex discuss taking out Elena if Cody wins veto and the noms remain the same. Alex thinks they need to target Matt and Reven. Alex wants to steamroll all the way to the end with Paul.

Kevin and Cody talk. Kevin misses his family. Kevin tells us if he cries on TV, he wouldn't be able to go back home. He looks as sad as you can without bursting into tears.

Veto player pick time. Alex first pulls Mark's chip. He tells us he would keep noms the same and keep Cody in the house. Alex pulls her own chip, then names Paul as her choice.

Kevin told Cody his biggest problem in the game was taking with the showmances. Cody tells Kevin about his daughter and told him to keep it confidential.

Their is an Outback set-up in the yard. They launch arrows at adventures on a map. It's the comp with the prizes for all and people can swap prizes from those who are out before them.

Paul out first and he won the veto. (But it surely will be taken away.) Mark is eliminated and wins a trip to Colorado for two. Jason out next, gets tandem skydiving punishment with another HG. Jason takes Paul's veto. Now Paul has the tanDAM punishment (as Josh would say). Matt out next, wins an Xreme-itard. He takes the veto from Jason.

Elena and Alex make a deal not to curse each other with a punishment. Alex is eliminated. She wins 5000 and is thrilled. Elena gets camp guide. take camping equipment and cook hot dogs. Cody hints to Elena that she should take the money from Alex and not the veto from Matt.

Alex is SO ticked. Paul chooses Christmas as his sky dive partner.

Cody tells Elena that he would have taken the money. He also told her that she's a target already. He's hoping that Elena might have made herself a bigger target and it might save his game. He doesn't tell Elena that part.

Alex invites everybody, including Cody, up to the HoH room ... except Alex. Cody tells us he doesn't like any of them.

Jason gets his Xtreme-itard. He has to scream that he's so extreme every time the BB voice talks about him being extreme. Paul and Christmas only have to go two days in their skydiving outfits, complete with helmets and goggles. For a week -- Jason is also a week -- Alex has to lug around heavy camping gear, set up a tent, cook hot dogs for all, then pack up again every time BB blows the bugle. She is SO angry at Elena.

Cody tries to improve his standing, offering to help Alex. The show is definitely being edited to give viewers the idea that Elena might be more of a target. Um. Sure.

Matt's Outback Steakhouse Reward time -- he can choose five guests for a dinner in the backyard. Mark, Elena, Paul and Alex are going with him. Paul gives his spot to Christmas.

Cody goes to talk to Jason and Alex. Cody reminds them that he saved the both of them and all but begs for them not to put him up. Alex tells us Cody is making sense to her.

Um. Yeah.

Matt knows that if he saves himself, he won't be replaced and the others will probably be mad because Cody won't go up.

Matt saves Jason with the veto. Alex puts Cody on the block. Backdoor Plan in motions.

BB19: Live Feeds into Tuesday Night - August 15

Another day, another outburst

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Loquacious Loons:
  • Gee, according to the scrolling banner on the live feeds page, I'll get some sleep Thursday night. It sounds like the feeds will be down from Thursday pre-show (normal) until maybe after whatever show they having on Friday.
  • Maybe the special Friday show is a Dr. Phil intervention show.
  • It was another day with kefuffles and tension bursting through on and off.
  • Cody has accepted that he's leaving, probably welcomes it to an extent at this point.
  • Oh. And, he misses Jessica.
  • In the morning, Cody was alone in the yard talking to the camera. He doesn't really want to talk to the others. He doesn't like them.
  • Kevin came out and talked to him. They both talked about going crazy.
  • Kevin also mentioned his toothache -- now, that was supposed to be taken care of before the 4th of July! He's hoping they'll do it tomorrow so he won't lose yard open time.
  • They sat around grousing about the other hamsters until other hamsters came out into the yard.
  • Alex is definitely holding a grudge about Elena passing off the hot dog cooking park ranger punishment on her.
  • A huge kerfuffle went down in the kitchen later about it.
  • But first ... there was a kerfuffle starting with Alex at Cody because she gave him her cereal to eat a bowl of it and he ate the whole box.
  • So, call to arms to everyone to light into Cody who didn't want to deal with them or talk to anyone.
  • He (rightfully at that time) got nasty back at them.
  • Then it turned into a Josh/Elena battle.
  • And the battling kept going on.
  • Now, you know me. I like a good brouhaha. But these are like reruns of shows you've seen rerun before.
  • It's the same arguments, different day.
  • Well, the cereal part was new.
  • I don't even want to write about all the side-fights.
  • It's ridiculous.
  • Paul likens Josh to a male Big Meech. Well, yeah.
  • Alex kept at Cody on and off, accusing him of lying about his kid, just using Jessica, etc.
  • So, now she just won't stop with either Elena or Cody because they wronged her.
  • The stress is even getting to usually unemotional Paul. He had to wipe away a few tears as he thought about how the season was going down.
  • That lasted about a minute until Jason fell almost on Alex and into the hammock.
  • I can see it now -- WhistleNut, Rodeo Cowboy, breaks one woman's foot in an act of tomfoolery and then squishes another in yet a second act of tomfoolery.
  • Jason tried to get Alex to cool her jets -- telling her that her outbursts will end up making her a target.
  • Interesting ... Paul told Josh that Kevin took the 25 grand in the beginning. Josh told him he already knew it -- Kevin told him.
  • Huh. Maybe Josh can keep a secret! I didn't know he knew.
  • Josh asked Paul not to tell anyone he knew about it.
  • Paul tells Josh that he's going to tell others (not that Josh knew) about Kevin taking it.
  • Josh was surprised, said Kevin is a jury vote.
  • He doesn't think it's wise to tell anyone.
  • Oh my. Josh can think!
  • Josh later told Christmas that he's worried all the animosity in the house is getting to Paul.
  • I say, "What about Jackie? How is she affected by this?"
  • So ... Paul tells Alex that Kevin has that money and that Josh knows.
  • Geez.
  • Paul lays it all on Josh! He told Alex he thought Kevin might have won the money and asked Josh, Josh confirmed it!
  • Oh, GEEZ!
  • He's setting up Kevin and then Josh for the jury!
  • We know that no one wants to be against Kevin at the end -- he'd surely win the money just because he's Kevin.
  • But I thought they'd want to sit with Josh, the Excitable Boy. Maybe Josh has been showing too many signs of being a game player -- winning comps. fitting in better and, obviously, in the case of Kevin's secret ... trustworthy.
  • When told about Kevin taking the money, Jason doesn't believe it. He's sure it was Ramses or Jillian.
  • Remember ... they ALL went for their buttons on that. Kevin just got to his first.
  • Now, they don't want Josh and Kevin out immediately. They have other targets first.
  • But, if they have their way the final four will be Alex, Paul, Jason and Christmas.

BB19: Live Feeds into Tuesday - August 15

No longer a sky diver

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Incorrigible Ingrates:
  • Cody joined Alex and Jason for a talk in the HoH room.
  • Invited by Alex even.
  • Oh my.
  • Don't get your hopes up, though. He's still a dead man walking.
  • He explained how things went down from his perspective and said he was there because he loved the game -- not there for fame. (Cough::: Elena:::cough)
  • He said he'd like to do another show with Jessica. The Amazing Race? Hmm. I think he'd be good at that; I'm not as sure about Jess. But, since his biggest weakness is in social doings with bunches of people, he'd do better in the race.
  • Mystery solved as to why he didn't choose HoH room to be wrong with the temptation noise answers -- they had an HoH room lockdown and some noises played then.
  • Cody found out that Raven had her sights set on him at the beginning and, when he wasn't interested, lied about things he said.
  • Paul and Christmas were relieved of their sky diver tandem suits.
  • That punishment was much more complicated, in a part due to her broken foot, than tethered together punishments of past shows.
  • Cody hopes that being first to jury gets pick of the best room and bath.
  • Mark thinks that Christmas hobbles around and then jumps in on the anti-Mark bus.
  • He claims to respect Alex and Paul's gameplay. But, of course, wish they'd stop targeting him.
  • He was telling this to Cody, mind you.
  • Josh decided to create a scene claiming that Mark was telling people to keep Cody.
  • Cody told Josh to work it out with Mark. He's over it.
  • Paul said they're not playing Big Brother -- they're playing Big Baby.
  • He's spot on with that.
  • But babies are generally better behaved with other babies.
  • Paul told Kevin that Cody said he had him (Kevin) in his pocket.
  • Now, I did NOT see Cody say that. I either missed it or it never happened.
  • It's all working towards targeting Kevin after Mark and Elena (and perhaps Raven and Matt).
  • Apparently Josh has taken Kevin's place in the final five plan.
  • Kevin would be too popular in a final two.

Hot dogs for all!

BB19: Live Feeds, Veto Meeting Monday - August 14

Kevin got his yard today

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Wayward Boys and Girls:
  • The big news, other than Kevin got his yard back, is that the veto meeting went down.
  • As expected, Matt saved Jason and Cody was put on the block in Jason's place.
  • So, the nominees this week are Elena, Cody and Matt as the third nominee from the Temptation Challenge.
  • Matt couldn't save himself. As the third nominee, he wouldn't be replaced. They needed Cody to go up for the backdoor.
  • Elena had been talking game a lot with Cody ... until now.
  • Now she's sucking up to the others.
  • They want to make her worry.
  • Heck, many show fans don't like how Paul is running the game this season. Yet, I believe all might say it's a good thing Elena's worried that she might go home.
  • The only thing better than that, in my opinion, is Elena actually going home!
  • When asked, Kevin told Jason that there is no way he would vote to keep Cody in the house this week.
  • Yet, they are still suspicious of Kevin's relationship with Cody.
  • Yet again, Jason had a long whispered game talk with Cody before the veto ceremony.
  • Then there's Christmas who seems to be getting increasingly grouchy day by day.
  • Christmas and Mark got into a huge war over pillows. Alex's pillows, Christmas's pillows ... I don't know, maybe even the sofa cushions!
  • And I'm not talking a pillow fight.
  • I'm talking actual anger.
  • Then Josh refuses to sleep in the same room as Elena because she invited Mark in there.
  • Yeah, now she's back with Mark.
  • He's in love.
  • She's not. She's just using him.
  • As the days go on, this is turning into a train wreck.
  • Small children wouldn't bicker as much!
  • Well, Thursday should see Cody out the door.
  • And, for the second eviction, if neither Mark nor Elena win HoH, it will be one of them.
  • Yawn.

Voicing suspicions

Fate is sealed, yet he persists

Cody talks game with Jason. Horrors.

BB19: Live Feeds into Monday - August 14

Sky divers land in back of Cody

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Whacked Wombats:
  • Sunday was more boring than the usual Sunday.
  • They were on indoor lockdown all day.
  • Kevin fussed it was unfair. They only get the yard on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
  • Paul told him it's Big Brother. It's not fair. That's the way it is.
  • Mark, Kevin, Paul and Jason are the Have Nots this week. It's the first four out of the HoH comp.
  • It's about time Paul was one! He isn't too thrilled.
  • There is still animosity and criticism regarding Elena taking the veto money away from Alex and giving her the making hot dogs and setting up camp punishment.
  • I don't think Elena could do it anyway. Alex is having trouble with the weight of all the backpacks. Elena would probably just crumple.
  • They're also complaining about the hot dogs themselves. They're soy dogs and not very good. No one really wants to eat them.
  • Jason's punishment is waking the others up. Between the BB announcements for him and his shouting that he's so EXTREME, it's not conducive to sleeping.
  • Alex told Jason that, in the beginning, she and the rest of the house were all about getting Paul out. She trusts Paul now. At least, for now.
  • Raven claims that she got food poisoning once at Outback from their chicken. She says she was in the hospital two days.
  • Yeah, sure.
  • Whatever, Raven.
  • Kevin is still suffering the consequences of talking game with Cody.
  • Now, all of them are indeed talking with Cody.
  • But few are talking game with him.
  • Mark and Elena have talked game with him.
  • So, they're targets.
  • Plus, they're a couple.
  • So, they're targets.
  • While Paul and Alex are pretty sure it's a double eviction week, Mark doesn't think so.
  • Ahem.
  • The plan is Cody out first, then either Mark or Elena in the second.
  • Mark told Kevin that if he (Mark) wins HoH, neither Kevin nor Jason will be his targets.
  • Well, duh. I could have figured that out!
  • Paul thinks Cody is campaigning to get him out.
  • Well, duh.
  • And so it goes ...

BB19: Temptation Challenge and Nominations Show Blog Party - August 13

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

The show is starting late here. But I don't know how late. It's past 8pm ET and 60 Minutes is still on.

Finally, at 8:19pm we have the show. Recap, recap.

Cody is alone. He's happy Jess isn't stuck with the others. He wants to strip the big prize money from "as many of these idiots as possible." Raven would like Mark and Elena targeted because they're too close to Cody. Josh thinks so, too. Christmas is leery, as well.

Everyone is going to play in the Temptation Challenge to attempt to keep Cody from winning safety. Alex wants to target a showmance -- first choice is Mark and Elena, second is Matt and Raven. If she can't get Cody out, she wants to split up one of the couples.

Cody tells Kevin that he would never target Alex, doesn't know why she wants to target him. Kevin is worried what the others think about him talking with Cody but figures if Cody stays and wins HoH, he won't be targeted.

The others think Kevin is being sketchy by talking to Cody. They plan a sort of intervention.

Mark suggests targeting Paul to Jason.

Alex recruits someone to throw the Temptation Comp so they would be the third nominee ... Matt volunteers. Alex's plan is working -- put Mark and Elena on the block (one couple), third nominee a part of another couple. If they can't backdoor Cody, it will break up one couple.

They hear a baby crying. Then a dog barks. Lawnmower? Drums. And on and on. Paul makes up a song to memorize the order of the sounds.

They all drink the green potion in the Den of Temptation to participate in the challenge.

The comp has the yard in a big blueprint of the house. It's not the order they need to remember, it's where they were when they heard the particular noise. Cody plans to throw it so he can be the third nominee and play for veto. He decides to stand in Have Not because he wasn't in that room for any of the noises. Oops! He was indeed in the Have Not room for one of the noises. He got one right!

Mark wins safety while Matt is the third nominee as planned.

Cody knows he's cornered and thinks he needs to wake the others up about Paul being more of a danger to their games than he is.

Jason tells Alex he's willing to go up as a pawn with Elena. Paul comes in and acts like he himself is willing to be a pawn with Elena. Elena is not happy -- "Perpetual Pawn Elena!"

Cody talks to Elena. Cody tells her about Kevin's proposed deal last week. He tries to build trust with Elena, that she will always be on the bottom with Paul's group and Paul needs to go. The others are all doing Paul's dirty work for him.

Cody agrees to take Elena off the block if he wins veto. But, as Christmas points out to us, Mark and Elena aren't working together. Kerfuffle between Mark and Christmas ensues. Mark and Elena are accused of being flip-floppers. Well, they are. Mark even admits it to us.

Nominations today!

Alex says Matt is the third nominee. She nominates Elena, then Jason. Elena, nothing personal. Jason, want to compete in the veto with you.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 13

Good morning! Since it's a Sunday morning, this is my weekly off television topic post taking a look at the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. This weekly post is done year in, year out. Big Brother, the main draw for so many of you, only lasts about three months -- although sometimes it seems to be a lifetime. If you're here solely for the BB posts, please feel free to skip this post. You can find my latest BB19 posts by using this link.

Yep, yep ... another week gone and another week closer to my next week off from my workplace. Now, that won't be until mid-September, mind you. But it's on the horizon. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel ... or something like that.

Between work, the blog and the fact that I'm certainly no spring chicken these days, I'm SO EXHAUSTED all the time. Yes, I take vitamins. Yes, I'm still exhausted all the time. On Tuesday night I fell asleep for about ten hours and I was amazed at how good I felt when I awakened. I wish I had the time in my life to get the proper sleep amounts. But it's just not happening for me now. Wah.

It's just been another week of summer -- work, heat, storms. You know, the usual. I really don't have any exciting happenings to tell you about. So, I guess it's onto the photos I took this past week. Clicking on an image will open it up in a larger version.

Yak, yak ... don't talk back!

Between the seagulls and the crows hanging around the Plainfield Train Station, it's LOUD. Throw in all the sparrow and starling noise and you have an Ornithological cacophony.

Y'know ... I can still see you

BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday - August 13

Jason is 6'5" tall already

With his unitard punishment, he has to duck to go in or out of rooms. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Malicious Malcontents:
  • The reward/punishments veto comp has changed lots of the house happenings.
  • It's no wonder that Alex is ticked at Elena for taking the $5,000 she held and getting the punishment that Elena had won instead.
  • Alex has to tote around all kinds of camping gear all the time with her. When she hears the bugle sound, she has to get supplies for hot dog cooking, set up a tent, cook hot dogs for everyone, then take down the tent.
  • It reminds me a bit of the punishment Paulie got last year baking and waving the flag.
  • She is taking it much better than he did and her punishment is much more labor intensive.
  • However, she's not letting Elena forget that it was HER punishment.
  • Mark, however, thinks that Alex should have gone ahead and taken his trip as a second place winner.
  • But she didn't.
  • Supposedly they had a deal not to give each other punishments if they received them in the comp.
  • Elena didn't stick to that deal.
  • Due to the broken foot and scooter, Paul and Christmas being tethered together is more of a challenge than the usual tether together punishment. They both have helmets because they're supposed to be tandem skydivers and just might need them if they tangle with the scooter!
  • Jason's unitard adds about another foot to his already tall self. He looks foolish but seems to be taking it in stride. He has to yell "I'm so X-TREME!" each time he hears the BB voice announce that Jason is doing something extreme. The costume weighs about fifty pounds. Oy.
  • With Jason in mind, this came to me as I watched Alex and Jason talk last night -- while they're a duo in the house, I like that they're not physically involved except in tomfoolery situations. It bothers me when I see Christmas or Elena caressing Kevin, a married man. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned or something. But it's refreshing to see Alex and Jason being just true good friends with no sexual innuendo going on.
  • I wish they'd stop talking about evicting Kevin, though!
  • In other news, Kevin told Cody he can't help him. Then Kevin told others he told Cody he can't help him.
  • Cody was invited to and joined in with others in the HoH room. If he had mixed like that in the beginning, he just might not be the Dead Man Walking he is today.
  • Thankfully, the others were all cordial with him and they all had a good time with laughs and all.
  • I've grown tired of all the mean-spirited moves by so many this season.
  •  Josh and Cody played pool together. There was no circus music.
  • Probably because of his earlier lies about his age (and the fact they don't like him), Paul thinks the Cody's daughter story is made up.
  • This goes to show you -- if you lie about yourself in the beginning of BB, stick to it. If you admit that lie, no one will believe truths.
  • Paul thinks Cody made up the daughter for sympathy reasons.
  • Elena is worried that she's the bottom of their group and a target.
  • And, on the block.
  • To be honest, there is some scuttlebutt about voting Elena out instead of Cody.
  • And, the fact she went for the money instead of the veto because she assumes she's safe speaks volumes. She just might ...!
  • I personally wouldn't mind that.
  • But I doubt it will happen.
  • With Alex's punishment, no one is supposed to help her.
  • Jason got reprimanded by the BB voice for trying.
  • But the BB voice didn't stop Cody from telling Alex how to work the grill after she initially burnt the fake grass with it.
  • Cody was actually a big help to her not only with the grill workings itself, but dealing with all the packing and backpacks. It's all quasi-military and he has a bit of expertise with it all. Except perhaps the actual cooking of the hot dogs, that is.
  • Jason and Cody talked about going hunting together after the season is over. Alex wants to join them. Hmm.
  • At the moment, they're all liking Cody more than they like Elena!
  • But, it's set Cody must go this week. If it's a double eviction (which it will be), Mark/Elena will be the targets.
  • Cody actually talked to the cameras (us) for the first time this season. He knows the backdoor plan is in the works. But he's hoping the fact that Elena has so ticked off HoH Alex that he might have a chance.
  • Sigh. He probably won't. It's too late for redemption in the house.

BB19: Live Feeds Saturday, Power of Veto - August 12

Josh, it's "stole" not "stoled"

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Despicable Dawgs:
  • The veto players were picked this morning.
  • Cody's chip wasn't picked out of the bag, thus sealing his Backdoor fate this coming Thursday.
  • Blocked to the live feeds, but talked about -- it was the veto in which, as they got eliminated, they picked a prize and could switch prizes with those out before them.
  • Matt won the veto.
  • Elena got $5,000 which she apparently took from Alex saying she needs the money. (Remember, she's told us and everyone often enough she has no job, no home and BB is her job!)
  • Mark won a trip for two to Colorado. Wow! Heh. He said he took it because they had all talked about just making the veto comp fun.
  • Jason gets a unitard. Alex has some kind of curse. Paul must be chained to Christmas.
  • Some will be attending an Outback Dinner (in the yard). I'm not sure right now who they are. I know it's not Christmas or Kevin.
  • Sooo ... since Matt is the third nominee due to the Temptation Challenge, he cannot be replaced if he removes himself.
  • He'll have to remove either Elena or Jason so they can get Cody up there.
  • It will most likely be Jason being saved.
  • Elena whined to Cody that all she is to them is their perpetual pawn.
  • Heh. Every time they pawn her, I think "pawns sometimes go home ... please."
  • Cody is mingling more (although he played a game of chess alone).
  • He told Kevin in confidence about his daughter and how he was hoping to win for her sake.
  • Kevin, although not a cool move, went and told Paul. Paul was shocked and said it brought a whole different perspective on him.
  • Not different enough to stop the backdoor, mind you.
  • Josh, Paul, Alex and Jason continue to talk about Kevin being sketchy.
  • Sigh.
  • Alex and Paul are pretty sure it will be a double eviction this week. Paul told her she will be protected.
  • Raven, Elena and Cody talked about needing four votes for someone, likely Paul.
  • Since Matt won't save Elena, it must be for the eviction after? I dunno.
  • Hmm ... Christmas was talking to Jason and Alex about Elena going home and Cody staying.
  • Nah. I just can't fathom them not taking the shot at Cody with the set-up they have in place.

This is kind of sad

A smile is just a frown turned upside down

"I'm just their perpetual pawn, Cody!"

BB19: Live Feeds into Saturday Dawn - August 12

Laughter ... for now

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Miserable Mice:
  • Nominations went down last night.
  • As I said it would be -- Elena and Jason are nominated with Matt being the third nominee due to losing the Temptation Challenge.
  • Christmas accused Mark of all sorts of double agent activity and then Josh joined in. Mark was accused of both working with Cody and turning against Cody at the same time.
  • Of course, we know he was trying to play both sides and, at this time, still is to an extent.
  • Cody eavesdropped on the whole argument.
  • There were no fisticuffs.
  • I know Josh has mentioned he's under warning about physical fighting. I would assume Cody probably is and probably Mark, too.
  • Geez, all they need in there is that Hantz bro who was booted for violence or that guy (Scott?) who threw the chair and got ousted. Or perhaps Justin Sebik of knife and BB2 fame!
  • I think this season has the record for the number of dudes under warnings for physical altercations or the threats thereof.
  • Mark denied knowing that Paul would be backdoored in Week One.
  • No one knew. That's what triggered off the whole thing against Cody in the first place. He was supposed to be part of the huge alliance, made the decision to backdoor one of the alliance (Paul) and didn't tell anyone, including Jessica.
  • We know no one knew. But they don't know.
  • Josh tried to get Cody to admit to Mark working with him. Cody told him he was over talking game.
  • Josh kept at Cody trying to get information on Mark.
  • Cody told him he has no friends in the house.
  • Kevin finally rescued Cody from the questioning.
  • There were no pots and pans nor any circus music.
  • Then Paul asked Cody if he had said Mark was loyal to him (Paul) before he (Cody) left before. Cody said as far as he knew, Mark never betrayed Paul. He didn't want to discuss it anymore.
  • Mark has safety this week due to winning the Temptation Comp. So, I'm not sure what the urgency is about what he's said or done before.
  • Josh is thinking Cody has checked out. Paul isn't so sure -- veto has yet to be played.
  • Mark tried to defend himself to Alex and Jason.
  • Oh, give it a rest, hamsters!
  • Paul and Alex are upset because Mark didn't trust them and saved himself with the veto last week.
  • Really? Really?
  • I think saving oneself with the veto should be an act without question.
  • Paul and Alex also talked about how they could work better with Christmas if she wasn't as close as she is with Kevin. They want, after Cody is gone, to make sure that Christmas and Kevin don't make it much further in the game.
  • Oh my.
  • Now, neither seem to realize that Christmas has her own willing puppy dog in Josh. But I'm not sure how effective a weapon he could be.
  • They trashtalked Kevin, both agreeing he has a mean streak and he's weird.
  • Hmm.
  • Well, he is weird. That's something I like about him. And, they're ALL weird this season, so ...!
  • Rumors are getting around that Kevin has a deal with Cody. Well, they knew about the deal before the chaos. All of a sudden it's twisted and Kevin alone is in it with Cody? Nope! The actual deal was for Paul and Alex to work with Cody, along with Kevin. All bets are off on that one.
  • Yet it's being used as ammunition against Kevin.
  • Meanwhile, Cody went into cleaning mode and ripped apart the kitchen cleaning and putting all back together again.
  • I'm surprised he didn't give Jessica his cap when she left.
  • Everyone is now treating Cody okay -- no harassing.
  • Yet he knows he's outside looking in.
  • He's mixing a bit more.
  • It won't help him.
  • Paul is thinking it will be a double eviction week. We know he's right.
  • Cody is the (backdoor) target this week. Next, Paul wants Mark out.
  •  I would SO prefer they target people who annoy me as a feed watcher -- Elena or Raven. Paul can be super annoying, too -- but watching him work the people saves him from my list. Elena and Raven, to me, are worthless in the game.
  • Jason told Paul and Alex that he thinks Kevin is acting weird because he's worried about the perception from outside the house -- apparently specifically concerning his relationship with Christmas.
  • Now, Christmas is all over Kevin an awful lot.
  • Kevin doesn't stop it, either.
  • Hmm. Methinks Kevin has a crush growing. And, it shouldn't be.
  • I don't think Christmas would ever be interested in him outside the house.
  • But the world, including his family, see what's happening inside the house.
  • Oy.
  • Oh noes! KEVIN is now crying! I think his BB and real life worlds are crashing in on him.
  • It does get his "friends" who were in the midst of trashtalking him a bit ago back in his camp a bit, though.
  • In other news, everyone was all compliments to Cody for cleaning the kitchen so well. He said he was bored and they sent his girlfriend home -- he had to do something.
  • Now if he could just clean the rest of the house!
  • And come over here and clean my apartment!
  • Paul told Cody he's willing to talk to him on a personal level, not game talk.
  • Cody reacted okay. But he knows that Paul will never be a friend or confidante.
  • Elena is wondering who might play veto and will they pull her off the block.
  • Yep, it's all about her.

BB19: Live Feeds iFriday, Temptation Challenge - August 11

Someone told him collar up is cool

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misguided Millennials:
  • The big news is that the Temptation Challenge already went down.
  • It apparently wasn't the order of the noises, but something about where they were when they heard them.
  • Of course, we don't really know because the feeds were blocked for the comp -- we pick up bits and pieces as they talk about it once the feeds return.
  • Mark once again won a comp! He's getting pretty good at these things. He has safety for the week and cannot be nominated.
  • Matt was the loser, making him the third nominee.
  • The plan is to put Jason up as a pawn.
  • Paul told Alex he owed her one and would understand if she wanted to put him up as a pawn.
  • But Jason and Alex are worried that the house might flip and vote Paul out.
  • So, the next pawn would be Elena.
  • Heh.
  • What's with all the pawns?
  • What about wanting to get Cody out?
  • Well, the plan is Operation Backdoor for Cody.
  • He'll obviously know what's going on when he's not nominated. I'm sure his spidey-senses are already tingling about it.
  • But the hitch here is that a true Backdoor (or, as Nakomis named it -- Six Finger Plan) is that the target has no chance to stay in the game.
  • With so many playing veto, he just might get picked to play. If he plays and wins veto, he's safe no matter if he takes someone off the block or not.
  • That's a pretty big gaping hole in their plan this time 'round.
  • Elena is not a happy camper. She thinks if Cody wins and uses the veto, she would be the one voted out.
  • Oh, gee. That would be so horrible.
  • NOT!
  • She then claimed that she didn't want to be up with people she liked.
  • Oh my. They are both men, right?
  • Now, the nominations ceremony hasn't happened yet. But they have all been talking about it. It seems to be pretty set that Elena and Jason, with Matt as the third nominee, will be on the block.
  • Christmas and company (Paul, Jason, Kevin and Alex) think the house will split once Cody leaves.
  • If Cody stays this week, the house will stay united in the effort to get him out.
  • No one wants to work with him.
  • For his part, Cody is doing okay. He's occasionally mingling and, while not the life of the party, is being as cordial as Cody can be.
  • Christmas told Kevin that she wants to keep Matt and Raven around longer than Mark and Elena because they're still working with them.
  • I guess she's thinking Mark and Elena have gone rogue or something.
  • What about Josh? Where does he stand? He thinks he stands with Christmas, Paul, Alex, Jason and Kevin.
  • But he's Expendable Man.
  • Cue circus music.
  • Cody told Elena the deal that Kevin offered him a few days ago. You know, the one that went off the table with the physical threats.
  • He didn't tell her it's off. He might not actually know that Kevin no longer wants to work with him.
  • Cody told Elena that, if he stays, he'll go after Paul, Kevin. Jason and Alex.
  • Why? Because they're all disloyal to him! Um. I don't think Paul was disloyal to him. At least not until after Cody was disloyal to him in the beginning of the season. Heck, neither had any real loyalty to each other.
  • Cody promised Elena if he won PoV, he'd take her off the block.
  • Okay. Then Alex could put Raven up there!
  • I'd like to see either or both Elena and Raven gone.

Operation Backdoor will fail if he wins veto
