So far recaps and scheming. Athletes have Ronnie's back. Wah.

Have/Have Not comp is starting. Chima, Kevin, and Jordan play. Brains are the Have Nots. Cabbage and cocktail wieners!

America has new foods for voting - squash and squid, Brussel sprouts and borscht, liverwurst and black licorice. Hmm ...

Said he nominated Jordan and Michele, but gave no reason. Jessie tells us that neither will win POV, he will and will backdoor someone he wants out of the house.

Other than the party, it's been a relatively quiet day so far. Here are my observations:

• Casey needs to stop picking his nose and eating the proceeds at the kitchen table.
• They had cupcakes and cake which were made by the hamsters, all were allowed to eat them for one hour. Chima didn't know it was going down.
  
• Singing "Happy Birthday" isn't allowed due to royalties issues on the song.
  
• Ronnie told Chima that being a Christian is about being the best person you can and treating people well.
• He also lied and told Chima he never lied to her.
• I doubt any Christian wants Ronnie representing them.
• Jessie told Chima that Casey's been lying since he came into the house.
• It still looks like Jessie is going to nominate Casey when Michele saves herself. Jessie says so (to some) and it must be.
  
• Jordan and Jeff are still sweet on each other.
• Evidently, the Ronnie/Chima/Natalie/Jessie bond is growing. No, Russell and Lydia are not in there.
  

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was

Since I received good reaction to last week's array of photographs taken during the week, I'm giving it another shot. Or, to be more accurate, shots.

This wasn't an easy week for me. I'm missing my cat every day -- things just aren't the same when you lose a friend and confidant of so many years. The weather turned hot and humid, something I really wasn't missing when we had a chilly (for summer) June. Work budget cuts mean that I might not financially be able to do my needed knee surgery this fall.

Other people had a worse week, I guess. Lawmakers, mayors, and rabbis oh my! The latest New Jersey corruption scandal is a doozy. Where else but in NJ could you have the unique twist of corruption involving money laundering, Gucci bags, and body parts? I, of course, am not a suspect in the investigations. You don't want to know how many years it's been since someone offered me a bribe.

I hooked up my Comcast digital adaptor doohickeys with the biggest hitch moving the bookcase blocking my outlet for my living room television. I'm not thrilled that each adaptor sucks up electricity, nor am I happy that I've been told that I'm not eligible for any of the promotional plans. But if I didn't do it, by Tuesday I'd lose several stations I watch. Grr.

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Into Sunday Dawn 7/26

They primp, they do their hair, and they even shaved Casey's back.

You would think they've been invited to the White House for a beer or something, eh? Here are the late night happenings from that Big Brother House of the Rising Sun (very apt as it's past dawn there and some are still awake!):

• Casey can only take off his banana duds to shower and sleep.
• Lydia gave herself Liberty spikes, as you can see.
• Michele cooked up spaghetti for everyone except for herself, Ronnie, and Chima. After all, they are have-nots.
• Lydia told Natalie she isn't as reckless as the 18-year olds she knows.
• Maybe it's because she's 24. Lydia should listen to Kevin.
• Speaking of Kevin -- in a strategy talk with Lydia, he showed he's really playing the game albeit he seems invisible. He suggested that if Jessie puts Casey on the block, he and Lydia should work to save Casey because Casey would go wild against the athletes. He thinks Casey would be both a valuable weapon and ally.
• Lydia reports all of her Jessie talks and um ... activities to Kevin.
  
• Casey told Kevin that they really need to get rid of an athlete.
• Chima told Jessie that she feels bad that Casey will go on the block in a banana suit.
• Lydia didn't keep her spikes. Now, it would have been more interesting had she gone about head-butting people with 'em.
• There's definitely an underlying riff in the Natalie/Lydia equation. They both snipe at each other a lot. I expect an out and out cat fight one of these days. Meow.
• Lydia told Jessie that keeping Ronnie only benefits him and Natalie, not herself and Kevin. Then she said they'll do what he wants. Argh.
• I'd rather see Casey kept, Ronnie booted.
• Natalie said she wants to be married before she has children. Heck, that one sentence makes me respect her more. Now if she would shower and clean herself up now and then.
• I'm not sure of the timing of either the PoV ceremony or the margarita party. I think the party may be tonight. Last week the PoV was on Monday, but seasons before had it taking place on Sunday evenings.
• I'll keep you updated.
  

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Into Saturday Evening 7/25

I hope Jeff's feet don't smell.

I'm still kind of stunned that Michele won PoV. Now we'll know which of Jessie's secret alliances mean the most to him or his game -- Casey or Ronnie. Of course, he could go off the hook and figure some way to put Chima or Kevin on the block.

• Natalie told Jessie that when Casey goes on the block against Jordan, she's going to vote with the house so people will blame the one Laura vote on Casey. Mind you, this was BEFORE the PoV comp. She assumed Michele would be saved. Interesting, eh?
• Jessie told Jeff the plan was not for Jordan to go home.
• Natalie was chosen to host the comp.
• Casey
• Kevin, Lydia, and Ronnie didn't play.
• Jordan still thinks Ronnie will be backdoored.
• Jeff was so sure that Ronnie is being backdoored that he told Russell and Casey that if they're offered prize bribes, he'll take one. He thinks it doesn't matter who wins because Ronnie will go on the block.
• The PoV comp had something to do with mud and collecting numbers, the higher the better. (The actual comp was blocked to the feeds.)
• The house won a margarita party. The Have Nots (Chima, Ronnie, and Michele cannot participate.)
  
• Casey has to wear a banana suit.
• Chima has to wear a unitard.
• Jessie won $2,500.
• Chima straightened her hair. I expect her to fuss a lot about a cut on her knee and not being able to go to the margarita party.
• They have yet to give out the banana suit and red unitard.

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Overnight Into Saturday Dawn 7/25

Yesterday, Casey shaved and got himself spoken to by BB. They said he doesn't look like the same person. No, he doesn't. He looks a little more like a friend of Mike Boogie.

What's been going on since Jessie's nominations (Michele and Jordan)? Here's the scoop:

• Kevin told Natalie and Michele that the two on the block are about the only ones no one is really targeting.
• Michele thinks no one has her back like Jeff has Jordan's.
• She's right.
• Chima hopes there will be a slop (and cabbage and cocktail wieners) break for her upcoming birthday.
• Jeff and Jordan flirted, played and cavorted under the covers -- all fairly innocent. We're not talking a Jessie/Lydia showmance here.
• Chima fussed some more about being on slop.
• They played Truth or Dare. Ronnie was dared to hug Casey ten seconds, Natalie mooned Lydia, fun, fun, fun.
• Kevin was dared to cuddle with Jessie. But when he woke Jessie up with said cuddling, Jessie was not a happy pinhead.
• Jordan told Casey that Michele told her that he said he wouldn't use the PoV if he won it.
• Casey denied saying it. He claims he wants to win PoV. (I think he believes Ronnie will go up if he wins it. Jessie's choices would be limited if Casey wins/uses PoV -- Lydia, Chima, Kevin, or Ronnie.)
• Casey is growing weary of the "teenager" in the house with her big britches. Yeah, he thinks Natalie is 18 and trying to be Queen Bee or something.
• Jordan thinks the plan is to backdoor Ronnie, but she's once again seriously worried about going home.
• The BB voice started spouting numbers trivia like it did last year. Something they should remember or not?
• There are 121 marble slots in a Chinese checkers board.
• You needed to know that.
• Russell told Michele that if he wins PoV he'll save her and she can return the favor.
• Kevin told Lydia and Jordan that if he wins HoH, he'd probably put Jessie and Russell on the block.
• Sure, like Kevin the Invisible will win a comp. Plus, he's telling this to Jessie's sex wench!
• Speaking of which ... once again Sex Wench and Pinhead really messed around under the covers.
• This is not Jeff/Jordan flirting.
• At least they used a condom.
  
• Ew. I never understand how people can cheapen themselves so much as to know they're being filmed, on the Internet and national television and have no sense of personal dignity or integrity.
• I hope she covered the eyes on her Hello Kitty tattoo.

After a long feeds block for nominations, Michele and Jordan are on the block. Jeff and company accept it's a backdoor plan to oust Ronnie.

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Daytime Friday 7/24

The day hasn't been rip-roaring exciting, but a few things have gone down worth mentioning. First, they had the Have/Have Not comp (blocked to the feeds), but the hamsters talked. Well, Chima fussed. She's too good for cocktail wienies! Yep, American chose cocktail wienies and cabbage for them. Actually, that was my choice as I don't like sauerkraut or pickled things. The brains lost the comp, so they get wienies and cabbage.

In other news:

• Jessie was miffed that no one came to him to discuss deals. Hey, maybe no one wants to commit to saving his butt at one time or another. I have the feeling that (if they're smart) if Jessie goes on the block, he's going home. He's too strong a player and apparently too popular in the house to leave in the game if they get the chance to evict him.
• Jessie really wants to get beyond the fourth week -- his exit last season.
• Jessie told Natalie he can trust Ronnie more than he can trust Chima and Kevin. Hmm. I personally don't think anyone, including Jessie, should trust Ronnie.
• Lydia tried to tell Jessie it would be good politically to send Ronnie home -- the whole house would be happy with him (Jessie).
• Jessie told Lydia that if he kept Ronnie and sent Jordan, Casey, or Michele home, he'd have a majority of five on his side.
• Kevin told Jessie that if Ronnie stays, he will keep planting seeds of doubt and putting the house in turmoil.
• Jessie told Kevin that if the general consensus in the house is that they want Ronnie out, he won't fight it.
• Jessie is probably lying.
• Ronnie told Jessie he'll report back to him every word Russell says about him (Jessie).
• How will Jessie know if Ronnie is lying or not?
• Now the latest plan is to backdoor Casey. Sigh.
• Lydia thinks Jessie is putting her up again. It could also be Jordan and Michelle.
• He should put RONNIE on the block. I hope Ronnie or his relationship with Ronnie screws things up in the house for Jessie. I know. I'm mean.
• The nominations will be later tonight.
  

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Overnight into Friday 7/24

I'm not getting the scarf thing so much since it looks like a tattered old winter one, but at least he wears his shirt. Here's the happenings from the late night:

• Russell shaved his mustache. He no longer looks like the guy who liked Vito on The Sopranos.
  
• Jessie wanted Jordan and Lydia to kiss. I have no words.
• They talked about the odd vote for Laura but it's not a huge thing shaking up the house like Natalie had hoped.
• Jessie got his HOH room and the typical fake-happy smiles abounded as they checked it out.
• Casey thinks Jessie couldn't be dumb enough to keep Ronnie.
• Little does he know.
• The Jordan and Jeff relationship is ongoing, but no grandpaw ... she ain't slept with him.
• Lydia played drama mama over beds. Russell even offered to sleep in the Have Not Room, yet she pouted.
• Lydia and Natalie argued over beds. Michele supposedly has night terrors and Lydia wants Natalie to share with her because she's had enough.
• Natalie told Jessie she thinks they should align with Jordan and Jeff.
• Natalie is worried about Casey winning comps. She's sure it's going to start happening.
• Jessie talked about maybe putting up Lydia and Kevin.
• Natalie thinks he should put up Michele and Lydia, then maybe backdoor Casey.
• You might have noticed that Ronnie isn't being discussed.
• Sigh.
  

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Since the Eviction 7/23

Oh, geez. I knew I feared Jessie being HOH again. I knew something was bothering me. He's gone and done it. He made his own little HOH rule that all the guys must wear color coordinated blue shirts and drink out of matching blue cups. When will this madness stop?

Heh. No, he didn't make that rule. I'm just trying to be Ronnie-like.

To be honest, not much has happened since the show. Jeff still thinks that Jessie might put up Ronnie but has lingering doubts that Jessie and Ronnie are working together. Ronnie is still isolated, mostly hanging out on the hammock in the yard. The girls were having a girlie night in the upstairs hallway until Jeff joined them. Kevin is hanging out in the yard.

As I write this, the HOH room hasn't been revealed. Everyone (except exiled Ronnie) is hanging out and having a pleasant evening.

Well, that's no fun!

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Overnight Into Thursday 7/23

Kind of reminiscent of Home Alone, eh?

Here's what's been happening in that Big Brother House of Home Alone Hamsters:

• Since receiving all the equipment to practice for the HOH comp tonight, they've been practicing.
  
• Ronnie didn't have to practice which is a good thing as he's Ronnie In Exile anyway.
• Russell told Jessie he thinks they should keep Ronnie, but not to mention it to Natalie.
• Jordan and Laura packed.
• Ronnie told Russell he doesn't think Kevin and Lydia are really mad at him because "they smile at me with their eyes."
• Yeah, right.
• Ronnie lied to Russell and told him it was all Laura trying to set him up last week.
• Russell told Ronnie that he's been being mean to him because only a secret alliance will make it to the end.
• Russell told Jessie he thinks that Casey is "gunning for me."
• Chima said the pawn plan is withdrawn and no one will be throwing the HOH comp.
• She said Casey said it would be better if they all played for it.
• Chima is worried that the brains will win and Ronnie won't be able to go on the block.
• Natalie blatantly wants to put Ronnie on the block, forget the backdoor.
• Natalie feels she can't trust Russell.
• I don't think anyone can really trust Russell. Well, maybe his Mom can. But she's not in the house.

That's where things stand. It still looks like a unanimous or almost unanimous ouster of Laura tonight.

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Into the Evening Wednesday 7/22

Boring day in the house, yet it was. And still is. Ronnie is still in exile hiding out from the world at large. It's sad, yet deserved.

• Casey thinks Russell has gone too far in terrorizing Ronnie.
• Jeff has picked up on Jessie pretty much staying out of the Ronnie brouhaha.
• Jeff would also like to see Jessie go on the block, not so much to be sent packing but to freak him out.
• I like Jeff's thinking.
• Michele is worried that if she goes up on the block, Jeff will vote her out.
• He said he wouldn't and that he doesn't like "what if" scenarios.
• Kevin told Jordan he doesn't think she'll be going home unless people aren't telling him things.
• Russell talked to Ronnie. And no ... not yelled at. He told Ronnie that he has no intention of nominating him and that the HOH comp should be thrown to him (Russell) to ensure he isn't put on the block.
• What Russell didn't tell Ronnie is that everyone has pretty much agreed the best way to get rid of Ronnie would be to backdoor him.
• Russell told Ronnie he wants Casey gone. I really haven't seen much mentioned about that prior to this. I feel it's for the benefit of Ronnie.
• Russell told Ronnie that he and Jessie can't say anything in his (Ronnie's) favor right now in front of others.
• Lydia wants Ronnie out, then Russell.
• Something has been being built in the yard while they've been on indoor lockdown.
• They were just let into the yard. The feed I had on only showed them going out the door.
• "What's this?" "Is this just for fun?" "No, it's the HOH comp for tomorrow!"
• It's kind of like skeeball with a catapult. Now the feeds are cutting in and out as they practice. Every time one of the production people talk, we get blocked.
• They roll a ball down a plank and jerk the plank up to pitch the ball into buckets.
  

Big Brother 11: Live Feeds Into Wednesday Dawn 7/22

It's yet another late night for the BB bunch. They were given alcohol, but they're not drunk. Jessie is talking about body building and weight lifting. It's obviously a fascinating discussion ... not.

Here's the goods from the Big Brother House of Nerds and Ne'er-do-wells:

• Russell told Lydia and Chima that the only way to get rid of Ronnie would be a backdoor. He would only play for POV if chosen and would have no way to save himself.
• Jeff thinks Jessie uses his harem as personal servants.
• Casey thinks Jordan will stay. He advised Jordan to keep being nice and maybe plant a seed that Laura wants Jessie and Lydia out.
• Russell wonders how Ronnie couldn't feel he had quarters up the butt.
• The big group (sans exiled Ronnie) talked about having two people throw HOH.
• Chima, who imbibed the most alcohol in the group, doesn't want to be a pawn again.
• Ronnie made the mistake of going into the kitchen for a bottle opener. Russell yelled at him. Ronnie hightailed it back to the HOH room.
• Laura supported Casey's and Russell's thoughts to put two pawns on the block, then backdoor Ronnie.
• The problem is that no one wants to be a pawn. Laura pointed out that due to the cliques, the nominees are limited and chances are they'd have to go up anyway.
• Lydia, Kevin, and Chima think Jordan is definitely the lesser threat when compared to Laura. They also don't really trust the athletes.
• Jessie, Natalie, and Russell plan to vote Laura out.
• Natalie told Kevin she has no romantic interest in Jessie.
• BB reminded the hamsters that they're turning the lights out at 2 AM.
  
• So they all sat in the yard.
• Natalie told Russell she's heard he's made deals with everyone. Russell told her he did it for information, but the only ones he's loyal to are her and Jessie.
• Russell told Jessie that he's only being nice to Chima to use her.
• Lydia, Natalie, and Kevin think Laura isn't even trying to stay and wonder why.
• I think first, Laura likes Jordan. And, second ... she realizes that she's perceived as more of a threat than Jordan. I think she is pretty sure campaigning won't change the inevitable.
• Now it's just Casey and Jessie in the backyard.

Big Brother 11: Live Feeds Into Tuesday Evening 7/21

I wouldn't mind being able to wear black spandex like Lydia. I wouldn't mind so much having a Hello Kitty tattoo. But ... um ... no.

Here's what's been going on in that Big Brother House of Geeks, Freaks, and Those Who Deserve to be Mocked:

• Jessie told Natalie that they'd just have to ride the Ronnie thing out and see what happens. He won't bring up a possible eviction, but he won't fight it either.
• They think they'd still have the numbers as they have Lydia. Kevin seems to come with her.
• I'm actually a bit disappointed that Kevin tends to stay under the radar a lot.
• Jeff thinks it's all making sense now. He couldn't get why everyone hated him so and now he knows it was Ronnie's lies.
• Lydia told him that she needs to tell him something about Russell later.
• If I were Jeff, I think I'd be as leery about Lydia as I am now about Ronnie.
• Casey and Jeff talked about how Ronnie said that Jeff called Kevin a derogatory slur for homosexual. (Like how I scooted around that one?)
• Everyone in the house wishes Ronnie could go home this week and both Jordan and Laura stay.
• It ain't gonna happen.
• They hashed and rehashed all of Ronnie's lies and how he pitted them against each other for fun and profit.
• Ronnie hid out.
• BB gave 'em wine tonight.
• Cooking was a mutual effort on the part of Michele and Natalie.
• "Let him starve," said Jeff about Ronnie.
• As all of the others had a pleasant time, Ronnie came out of the HOH and laid down on the couch in the upstairs hallway.
• He eventually went back to his lair.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone's gameplay blow up so badly in all the years of the show. Ronnie was right. He's going to make BB history ... most hated by almost everybody.

Big Brother 11 7/21 Show Blog Party Post

Russell blew up at Lydia and made her cry. This happens just after he decided he needed to be friends with everyone. Natalie thinks Russell should be backdoored.

They chose the veto players from the bag. Ron chose Russ, Laura chose Natalie, Jeff chose Casey.

Jeff wins the veto!

To backdoor Russell or to not backdoor Russell, that is the question.

In the veto meeting, Jeff saved himself. Ronnie put Jordan on the block without any of the background from the feeds. Ronnie tells us Jessie was right, didn't have the numbers. Laura is the target.

Big Brother 11: Live Feeds Daytime Tuesday 7/21

Russell takes some time off from his day of being Ronnie's worst nightmare.

As I mentioned in my previous report, the entire house has Ronnie's number ... even his bestest friend Jessie. True, in this game you have to occasionally lie. But you don't needlessly lie to everyone in the house. You know, they kind of talk to each other. The smug shall fall. Here's the latest skinny:

• Jessie thinks that the show production must be involved in the Ronnie fiasco because one person couldn't have done that much to the house!
• Maybe he's a PLANT ... like Dan last year. (Yeah, right.)
• Jordan and Jeff are getting closer.
• Is Ronnie's conscience bothering him? He had a lot of trouble getting to sleep. Maybe he was just repeating to himself ... "what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive."
• Russell kicked in his Pick On Ronnie (Who Deserves It) campaign first thing this morning by greeting Ronnie with, "Good morning, rat."
• Russell started following Ronnie around telling him he must suck as a gamer.
• Michele said she felt weird being happy about other people's pain -- Russell picking on Ronnie. I do, too. But Ronnie is so a little weasly slime-bucket.
• After Ronnie retreated to the HOH room, Russell set himself up right outside the HOH door.
• When the others got up, they wondered if Russell was in cahoots with Ronnie as both were missing.
• I like the expression "in cahoots." I have so few opportunities to use it in a sentence.
• Jessie told Ronnie even though he (Ronnie) can't compete for HOH next, he could still win POV.
• When Ronnie left the HOH room, Russell Pit Bull Terrier was right on his heels.
• They made a slip and slide out of garbage bags. Lydia managed to cut the tops of her feet and shins.
  
• Russ continued to follow and mock Ronnie wherever he went.
• Then Ronnie cried. In the HOH room where no one could see him, of course. Now, it's sad. But he wanted to put on those big boy pants and be King.
  
• Jessie told Natalie that someone else would have to go to bat to save Ronnie -- he won't do it.
• And that's pretty much it.

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Into Dawn Tuesday 7/21

This is the latest staying up yet being sober group I've ever seen in the Big Brother house. Jessie, Casey, and Laura are still up in the kitchen talking the evils of Ronnie. Casey and Laura have seen through Ronnie for some time. Whether Jessie is actually realizing that Ronnie will play him as quickly as he's played others, I just don't know.

Here's what's been happening in the late night hours:

• Laura told Ronnie that she would have been a better ally for him than Jordan.
• Ronnie told others that Laura's spreading lies.
• Jordan thinks they want her and Laura against each other.
• The HOH bunch is adamant about voting Laura out.
• Lydia wants the NBK (Natural Born Killers) to be only herself, Chima, and Kevin because the others talk too much.
• The HOH group is falling apart trust-wise.
• That one segment really wanted Russell backdoored.
• Natalie says Russell wants Jordan out.
• Despite personal differences, everyone is agreeing that Ronnie is a liar.
• Russell confronted Ronnie about his lies and called for witnesses.
• Ronnie got shouted at a lot as he stood on the balcony.
• Ronnie retreated to his HOH room.
• Every hamster in the house wants Ronnie out next week.
• Since the confrontation, Ronnie's been hiding out while everyone talks about him and his lies.
• It's all good, eh?
  

Maybe if she showered more than every three days, she wouldn't have to pop pimples on the live feeds.

Big Brother 11 Live Feeds: Into the Evening Monday 7/20

I know I've mentioned this during previous years, but I'm going to say it again. The house has too much down time. As it stands right now since the POV ceremony is done and over with, there's nothing other than the HOH camera between tonight and the live eviction show on Thursday.

Throw in nominees like Laura and Jordan and we've got ourselves a snoozefest. Laura knows she's the target. She likes Jordan. She's not going to campaign against Jordan. Laura has accepted her fate and is more about trying to give Jordan game advice than trying to flip the vote.

Here are a few interesting tidbits from the Big Brother House of Restless Rodents:

• Jessie and Casey talked about Ronnie's deals. Casey reminded Jessie that his own deal with Ronnie went sour.
• Russell wants Ronnie out next.
• I might have to like Russell a wee little bit even though it makes me feel cheap.
• Russell told Casey that he doesn't like how everyone is acting a bit starstruck when it comes to Jessie.
• Lydia told Jessie that Russell said Natalie and Jessie need to be split up. If I'm not mistaken, that was something she said to Russell first and he basically agreed.
• Laura cried. She's on slop, she's tired, she knows she's going home and she wants to go home.
• Jeff tried to tell her that she doesn't know for sure that she's going home, but that didn't console her. She knows she's going home.
• A new but bound to be short-lived odd couple has come into being -- Russell and Laura. They both mocked Jessie (not to his face, of course), talked about Ronnie being the next to go.
• Ronnie and Jessie talked. Jessie told Ronnie that Russell is using their conversations to get in with the other side.
